I love war stories, especially from the front lines of real wars. I hate the sci-fi and anime samples. They're lame and unoriginal.
I didn't put an anime or sci-fi example because it wouldn't fit with the theme of war.Kyraina wrote:Kid you about triggered me with that, and I don't get PTSD triggers from books.
Sorry about that, I was just trying to impress with my skill of writing.

It is, but some of the samples I've read are cringeworthy.
Seriously, I don't think it's realistic or even sane for someone's boobs to be bouncing all over the place while fighting off aliens, like, don't you need armor, or would it kill you to give your character some clothes?

What's so wrong with boobs bouncing and skimpy armor? It's sci-fi not suppose to be realistic

Not only that, but when I was talking to the National Guard a couple weeks back. They said they usually have bandages to press the female breast down, so it's less of a problem for the soldier. So no jiggle physics.Kyraina wrote:What's so wrong with boobs bouncing and skimpy armor? It's sci-fi not suppose to be realistic
Two words; jiggle physics.

I don't mind jiggling boobs in a sci-fi movie. Remember the star wars movies, and star trek there weren't alot of boob jiggling, but enough on that subject.

As a girl, I find it to be a little offensive and as a writer, I see it as poor character quality.
As a Creek Nation Member, I find it offensive that Native Americans are almost always shown as savages or as a character like Tonto.
Very few movies or shows where Native Americans aren't savages, or Tonto.

Stereotypical Arabs or Germans can get kind of annoying. Not every Arab is a terrorist and not every German was a diehard Nazi.
Akarah is a decent human being, right?

Akarah is alright. I say alright in the fact that I am a bit skeptical. I worked with a few Guys who turn sides from Taliban to ANA and after one Betrayal you don't know if they can do it again

He wasn't fighting with the Taliban. He's just worried about Westerners think of him because he fought under Assad.
