The black is mine, as it says on the Pic, the Black Only, I was seeing if I could use the left land mass instead but forgot someone had claimed it. The black is all I want.

NS Nation Name: Orson
Rp Nation Name: Second Vandulian Empire
Race (Human, Elf, other): Human and Elves

-Nation
Population (no more than 5 million: Estimated 4,800,000
History and Culture (2 paragraphs minimum):

The Vandulians were originally a group of human tribes that settled down along the banks of a major river (now known as the Vandul River) on the southernmost continent (labeled in black). The Vandulians later discovered agriculture, but in order to survive the harsh, desert climate that surrounded the river on all sides (as well as the threat of the Elves to the south), the tribes were forced end their infighting and band together; this marks the beginning of Vandulian civilization. Vandulian cities began to spring up along the Vandul River, while large aqueducts were constructed to irrigate crops. The Vandulians begin to dedicate themselves to the study of alchemy in order to advance their society. Eventually, enough mana is collected that it gains sentience and turns into the god Ora, the master of alchemy. The Vandulians construct large temples dedicated to Ora and began the collective worship of Ora.

Eventually, the Vandulian cities formed into the First Vandulian Empire, which extended along the length of the Vandul River. Later Vandulian Emperors continued expanding south along Lake Vandul, conquering the numerous Elvish city-states along the banks of the lake, and eventually into the temperate regions south of the lake; at this point, the First Empire reached the zenith of its power. However, the First Empire eventually declined in its power; the feudal system of the Empire proved to be its greatest weakness, with the feudal lords gaining more and more power until the Empire eventually disintegrated, with the individual feudal states fighting each other for dominance.

The Vandulians were eventually reunited by the Uru state, which was located in the southern portion of the Empire and had a population of mainly elves. The Uru state used its technological superiority (particularly the discovery of gunpowder and the development of cannons and the matchlock musket) to overpower and destroy the other states. After the city of Sulama, the former capital of the Empire, was sacked by Uru soldiers, the Uru leader at the time, an elf known as Kieran, declared the establishment of the Second Vandulian Empire. His son, Kieran II, crushed the last remaining resistance and fully restored the Second Empire to its former borders.

Location(Look at the map linked above):[b] Along the river and down towards the lake and part of the temperate forest regions on the continent marked in black.

[b]Ruler (Bio and name 1 paragraph minimum)
: Kieran II is the son of Kieran, who successfully captured the city of Sulama and re-established the Vandulian Empire. Kieran II conquered the remaining resistance under his rule, sacking and burning numerous cities and killing tens of thousands of people. After the unification was complete, Kieran II launched numerous construction projects to rebuild the damage the states had suffered during their infighting. Kieran II also abolished the feudal system, creating a centralized government and giving himself virtually absolute power. He plans to expand the borders of the Empire and become the most powerful nation in Amergos.

NS Nation Name: Beiarusia
Rp Nation Name: the Followers of Myrrh
Race: Syomir (Sigh-Oh-Meer)
The Syomir are a distinct subspecies of Elf native to the Lands of Myrrh. Physically they are somewhat taller than the average Human, with large, pointed ears and sharp eyes, appearing no different from standard Elves at first glance. Physiological differences include ashen skin, sharp canine teeth as well as a predominantly carnivorous diet, and eye colour consisting of yellow, orange, blue, violet, and green in order of prevalence. Eyes seem to faintly glow in dim lighting. Hair is naturally straight and dark. Prominent markings (freckles would be the closest comparison) are present on the face, shoulders, and back and fade with age. Life span average is 250+ years. Can see well in darkness at the cost of light sensitivity.

-Nation
Population: 480,000 approximate
History and Culture:
HISTORY
According to legend, the Followers were founded by dissidents banished from their homeland due to their radical ideologies concerning death and the afterlife. Lost, they were guided by Myrrh on a journey, treacherous as it was long, to the Land of Shadows at the edge of the known world, after which they were granted eternal knowledge of life, death, and the beyond. In return the Followers wholly dedicated themselves to Myrrh and have prospered greatly under his blessing. The exact founding of the Followers is shrouded in myth, the truth corrupted by both time and poor record keeping, but whatever their origins the Syomir have since come to lord over the Lands of Myrrh, alternatively known as the Shadowlands, with seemingly little opposition.

Historically speaking the Followers have been constrained to the shores of Lake Hildako, the largest body of fresh water in the region, and for much of their early history were under constant threat of attack from savage tribes and monstrous creatures alike. Survival was further made difficult by the harshness of the land. The Shadowlands receive very little direct sunlight - hence the name - due to the oppressive nature of the surrounding forest with thick clouds obscuring the sky throughout much of the year. Arable land as well is mostly nonexistent. Despite the many challenges the Syomir not only endured but thrived in this environment. Within two generations the Followers had claimed the entirety of Lake Hildako and large swaths of the forest. This expansion would continue steadily for the next few centuries until repeated conflict with native tribes and creatures came to a head roughly 800 years before the present, leading to a century long crusade to purify the Shadowlands that would ultimately see the Followers rise as the dominant power in the region. By the end of the conflict the entirety of the Shadowlands would fall under the rule of the Syomir, as apart from several border disputes no major conflicts have occurred since.

CULTURE
Syomir customs are often difficult for outsiders to understand. Myrrh, the god worshipped by the Followers, is seen as the Lord of the Underworld and, as such, the Followers maintain a close link to the dead and to the beyond in what could only be described as a morbid fascination. The entire culture centers around the worship of ancestors and the celebration of death. Shrines dedicated to Myrrh and to the deceased are commonplace; death is revered rather than mourned; festivals are had with offerings of the blood of those seeking favor. Live sacrifice is uncommon and is reserved for specific reasons. Death is not feared, but neither do the Followers resent life, with mortality being seen as the passage of one existence into another.

There is a rampant paranoia against outsiders and the perceived desecration of ancestral lands, and as such foreigners are not permitted entrance to hallowed grounds or sacred sites. Those who do set foot in these places are killed and used as offerings to appease Myrrh for the offense. Because of this neither the capital of the Followers, Skiá (Sky-Ah), nor the sacred Isle of Graves have ever once been seen by the eyes of any outsider who has lived to document it. Despite this hostility the Syomir are surprisingly tolerant, even allowing outsiders residence throughout the borderlands of the kingdom. Trade is conducted regularly with whoever is willing though often with the intent to peddle their beliefs. Outsiders who worship Myrrh are oft times held in a higher regard than those who do not. The Followers remain neutral in foreign affairs, but are not above attempting to influence both sides of any conflict for their own benefit.

A loose caste system is in place. Descendants occupy the highest spot of the totem and are those few who can trace their lineage to the founding members of the Followers. They serve in function similar to a monarchy and council. Currently there are five houses: Azarain, Favaro, Helik, Realn, Turik. Shamans are those that oversee religious ceremonies and rituals and, aside from the Descendants, and thought to be the closest to Myrrh. Priest and priestesses can often be found at the larger shrines throughout the Shadowlands. Acolytes are the educated; Warriors are any trained soldier; Merchants and Workers are often interchangeable depending on one's livelihood; Servants are those indebted to another. It is possible to rise or fall through the ranks of the system to a degree. Outsiders that have accepted Myrrh cannot become Shamans. Outcast are those who have committed grievous crimes against others or the society that, due to lack of severity or some other reason, have avoided death as atonement and are openly shunned as a result. It is exceedingly difficult for an Outcast to again be welcomed into society.

Location:
The Syomir can be found on the northwestern continent (RED) with their territory stretching south of Lake Hildako, east to the mountains, and far to the north. This area is known locally as the Lands of Myrrh or the Shadowlands due to the prevalent haze of darkness. No major settlements are found on the western coastline.

Ruler: Ophelia Azarain
The House Azarain is the unopposed ruler of the Syomir people and can trace their ancestry back to Feleele Azarain, founding member and leader of the Followers in time immemorial. The current leader of the Followers, Ophelia Azarain, rose to power after the sudden and unexpected death of her father. At only 27 years of age she is still considered a child among many. Having trained to become a priestess, Ophelia has a firm grasp of necromancy and spiritual communication, but despite these skills she is unsure of herself as leader and relies heavily on the support of the other Descendants. There has been some doubt among the people, but after a year under her rule most uncertainty has since vanished. Ophelia is a kind and happy person with an immense weight put atop her shoulders. She, like other members of House Azarain, has light coloured hair.

Other Important Characters: (By Order of Importance)
Malvion Turik (head of House Turik)
Galan Thiorin (Head Shaman)
Ornnes Azarain (cousin of Ophelia Azarain)

-Military
Military Population: 22,600 approximate
Common Soldier equipment:
Infantry
The basic and largest unit within the Follower military, Infantry are trained for both ranged and close combat and excel at asymmetrical warfare. Armed with a standard blade and leather armor, and utilizing non-gunpowder artillery weapons as needed, Infantry use uncommon tactics to mitigate whatever disadvantage faced against them. Infantry detachments are capable of operating independently when communications are compromised.

Archer
Similar to Infantry, Archers are proficient with the bow-and-arrow and picking targets at a distance, though at the cost of modest swordsmanship skills at best. Works best within a supporting role.

Ranger
Masters of both sword and bow, Rangers spend days if not weeks at a time within the wilderness or dangerous territory. Scouts and saboteur, Rangers can wreak havoc to an unsuspecting enemy and, when capable, are known to assassinate high value targets. Outsider of any conflict Rangers typically cull dangerous beasts from the vast forests of the Shadowlands.

Seer
Necromancers, the Seers commune with the dead in order to gain favor, and regularly boost the morale of those around them.

Seeker
Rangers that have fully dedicated themselves to Myrrh, Seekers rarely engage in large-scale conflicts and instead wander the lands in search of knowledge and artifacts. In times past they have been used as Inquisitors due to their unwavering faith, and administer a brutal justice upon those deemed guilty of some fault. Their allegiance is to Myrrh rather than to House Azarain.

Strengths:
- Accustomed to fighting in rugged terrain.
- Equipment is inexpensive.
- Excels at asymmetrical warfare.

Weaknesses:
- Lacks modern technology.
- Has not faced a major power.
- Used primarily as a policing force.
- Infighting.

NS Nation Name: Ubaria
Rp Nation Name: The Great Kandauri Confederacy
Race: Kandaurian
Kandauri are a race of bipedal, avian humanoids with remarkably mammalian and reptilian features alike. Evolved from great hunting birds, they have lost their wings and thustly the ability to fly, but retain their shimmering plumage of feathers on their head and most of the body, however most notable is their four compound eyes, the bottom set are finely tuned for sensing movement and the top two are for general observation, the brain pairs the images together. The slits on either side of the head, located just above the eyes serve as ears and behind their sharpened beak lies the mouth and 'sensory glands' which double as smell receptors.

Kandauri have posses digitigrade legs, with a back hooked ankle which allows jumping to great heights and fast running, they do have opposable digits with sharp hooked talons located on the ends. Kandauri come in many shades and colours, their feathers can be anything from rich greens, reds, blues and yellows, to more ordinary black, brown, white and grey or a mix which is more commonly the case.

-Nation
Population (no more than 5 million: 450,000
History and Culture (2 paragraphs minimum):

Kandauri evolved from predatory birds on the relatively small island of Pathinor, where early Kandauri formed small loose tribes and the basis of a language derived from bird squawks and newly tones granted by an advanced voicebox. Quickly the Kandauri learned that their landmass wasn't so big, and with an ever expanding population they had to be smart with what little resources they possessed. Quickly they realized that their avian cousins had it figured out already, the trees. Massive trees as large as buildings provided ample anchorage for arboreal villages, these small villages eventually expanded into larger and larger communities connected by many treetop passways and bridges across the island.

During this time of building, the Kandauri forged a religion based around nature and the bounty it represented, Kandauri worshiped many gods for every plant and animal imaginable, though over the decades and centuries, they were whittled down into a mere handful of deities, a composition of the many of the other gods. The 'Precursors' they called them, a pantheon of animal gods that crafted a pure world to be nurtured and worshiped as it was made, so the Kandauri see little point in spoiling the world and try to preserve it wherever possible, and look down upon races that scar the land with their monuments and cities.

Kandauri leadership is mostly a confederate of noble tribesmen called 'Sephs' who are seen as cultural icons, and are well versed in religion, politics, warfare and other aspects of ruling a self sustaining civilization. Only 6 'Sephs' are active at one time and whenever one dies, tribes elect a new one to replace them. Typically Females are seen fit to lead rather than males, who provide most of the manual labor and make up the sizable portion of the military, however gender is not a problem when it comes to assigning positions, there is little difference between Males and Females other than biological function and some physical aspects.

Recent times have seen the Kandauri reach out from their island nation to other larger civilizations, not only because their small island is begging to overflow, but they yearn to know more about the world and its creators and to document the many things that inhabit it.

Location(Look at the map linked above):[b] Bottom right orange isle if possible.
[b]Ruler (Bio and name 1 paragraph minimum)
:
Khvali Vil'mex

Khvali Vil'mex is the head of the currently elected board of 'Sephs' that rule over the Kandauri, a female tribal representative and not their leader, but also an ambassador for the Kandauri as a whole. Born on the Kim'lesh platform to a military mother and father, Khvali was expected to follow the family route into a military life, though she had a different career path in mind. She was a natural diplomat and smooth talker and was elected the leader of a local platform council at a young age. The current tribal leader at the time noted her aptitude for liasoning, bargaining and reasoning and hired her as his right hand, often performing messaging and trade tasks with other platforms. Slowly she rose the ranks and found herself on a seat for being a tribal leader, but ultimately lost out to a more military minded individual, though her talent would not go un-noticed by other tribes as she had maintained a fierce reputation as a hard negotiator, and soon found herself being elected into the elite leadership, at first in a restricted role, but in time was fully integrated.

Khvali is a quick and witty negotiator, a great haggler and a great diplomat, but coming from a military tribe and family, has an eye for military strategy.

-Military
Military Population: 85,000
Common Soldier equipment (please spoiler pictures):
Standard Bow and Arrow - A strong long and short range weapon in capable hands. Arrowheads are made from a hardened tree sap which forms a strong crystalline structure when forged correctly, harder than most steel. Can be tipped with various poisons for immediate, or long lasting health effects.

Standard Spear - Forged from relatively strong metal, this staple weapon can be thrown or used in a close quarters environment, also tippable with poisons, often can be made with larger handles or more ornate blade designs.

Enhanced Spear - Crafted from hardened treesap, the forging process hardens it into a stronger than steel blade that also carries a strangely earthy magic if wielded by the right people.

Many hand crafted weapons and armor. Mostly short spears, Bows and Javelins, armor made from tanned hide and reinforced with woven tree bark and chitin.

Strengths: Kandauri are exemplary when fighting in jungles or other dense foliage, using the natural surroundings as a camouflage to strike unsuspecting forces from every side, even above. Also experts in hand to hand combat, using their razor sharp talons or pointed beak to a deadly degree equaling that of a blade.

Weaknesses: Untested in combat, they have yet to face an enemy that is not a wild animal, monster or themselves and thus lack the doctrine and tactics when fighting in open battle against a well trained and armed opponent.

In time, they came to desire more, but with their claws and their wings, as mighty as they were, they could not build; only burn and scratch the mountains and the forests. They called to humans Argoblieri to build a manor in the mountains where ash dragons could live and keep their riches, and to serve this abode and keep it clean for the ash dragons. Finding safety in the lands of the ash dragons, more humans flocked there and founded the city Kharmarza: "Land of fire" in the ashen tongue. In return for service and fealty the dragons protected the lesser races that came to their land, and let them prosper in the ashes of Kharmarza.

When a sufficient number of mortals gather in one place for long enough their mana collects and gains sentience, becoming a new god bound to that kingdom. Dragons, the greedy creatures they are, weren't bound by this principle, but there was an exception for the ash dragons. Above Kharmarza came forth Kharkov, who formed in the image of the ash dragons and possessed all the primal desires of a dragon. As a god of fire and submission, Kharkov was feared rightly by the ash dragons, who sought to devour him and absorb his great power. A great horde of hundreds assembled to fight the dragon god, and for three days fire rained on Kharmaza. Blood spilled from the sky, a raging inferno outshone the sun, and the ash dragons fought a bitter battle for their sovereign. But in the end, it was Kharkov who emerged triumphant; he struck down all the ash dragons, and bound them to his will. The drakes of Kharmaza now served the dragon god, and gave him his dues in mana. NS Nation Name: Woodstovia
Rp Nation Name: Laethe
Race (Human, Elf, other): Human

-Nation
Population (no more than 5 million: 3 million
History and Culture (2 paragraphs minimum): Laethe is a kingdom of romantics; idealising poetry, song, art, chivalry, nobility and knights above everything else. Laethe's knights are unmatched and ride into battle with flamboyant and splendid armour hungry for glory. And in their cities their works of art and architecture and the most brilliant of all the humans realms despite some finding everything a bit too gaudy for their tastes.

Laethe was formed 500 years ago when a knight by the name of Daeron, the greatest warrior humanity has ever seen (or so the Lathians claim) united 6 human tribes, centred around small cities. Before then Laethe was known as the disputed lands, notable for the constant warring between humans, orks and occasionally dragons and was one of the few lands where no formal nation had been able to form. But by the time of Daeron's birth the humans had been pushed onto the brink of annihilation by the ork scum. Daeron went from city to city performing great deeds of valour and smashing the orc hosts wherever he went. Eventually the separate cities formed one kingdom, obsessed with their king and forming the culture of Leathe - one of knights and chivalry. Eventually Daeron was slain in battle at only 30 when he was killed by an orkish arrow. From that day on no Leathian has ever used a ranged weapon seeing them as cursed and unmanly.

The other major aspect of Leathian society is their religion - before unification there was only very basic primal religions present among the various cities, based around seasonal gods however Daeron at the beginning of his unification claims to have travelled alone to the glade of a forest where he saw an ancient dragon-emperor who spoke to him. The two shared a long conversation at the heart of the forest and after emerging Daeron had his men forever swear fealty to the dragons whom he proclaimed as immortal beings of unsurpassed wisdom. Since then dragon-worship has become the key religion of Leathe (know as Drakethar). Drakethar claims that the dragons crafted the world and protected humans when they were a young race. There are a pantheon of dragons who are primarily prayed to but all dragons are seen as gods. One emperor Valarr II claimed to have travelled to the east where the dragons dwelled and visited a magic city in the mountains where glass towers scraped at the heavens and such reports have only fuelled the imaginative Leathian people

Daeron is young and seeks to emulate his namesake. To his credit Daemon is every bit the warrior - tall and strong, said to be the greatest knight in Leathe. Daeron is also attractive and charismatic, winning friends easily. However Daeron is too young, he is completely bold and brash, proud and arrogant although his subjects love him for it. Daeron considers himself near perfect and a great warrior and while this is somewhat true t can lead him to making incredibly unwise and headstrong decisions. Daeron is also completely uninterested in the day-to-day ruling of the realm. But he has a wise council and is popular.

-Military
Military Population: 250,000
Common Soldier equipment: Leathe is fairly rich and so their knights are usually clad head-to-toe in gaudy and polished plate armour. Lighter horsemen and squires (who often form their own contingents in battle, trying to outdo each other in their quests for glory, hoping to be knighted in battle) wear lighter chainmail and boiled leather. Most foot-soldiers are peasants and so only wear light armour - usually leather and cloth with extremely rare pieces of mail. There are no bowmen or ranged weaponry of any kind. In battle most foot-soldiers wield spears and shields. Horsemen use weapons of all kinds though usually all have lances for massed-charges before switching to their preferred swords, axes etc.
Strengths: Extremely powerful cavalry and unsurpassed knights.
Weaknesses:Weak infantry, no ranged weaponry.

Population: 200,000
History and Culture : In the beginning of time, the Aethion were a race of nomads, nothing more. Living off the land, they moved from fishing-hole to fishing hole, never staying in the same place long, because even then they understood that staying there would deplete the food source. They were always on the move, and never had a chance to make any significant advances. Using bone harpoons, they would fish, and during the summer they would burrow into the ice and sleep all day, only coming out during the cooler nights.
But after the Chief Iglis united these people, brought them together into one roving "city", everything changed. The usually nomadic people now had to live with more and more people of their kind. Usually only living with 10 to 20 others, they roved in small groups. But now, with the "city", they moved in one, large, constantly-moving conglomeration. And then they had another shift in their culture, when Iglis's son, Firn, made it so they could stay put, and never have to move again. Their culture is still being shaped at this time, but it still, for now, revolves around the seal-things that give them food. They have time now to make an army, focus on aesthetics, and participate in multitudes of things that other nations participate in. Though they still have not had contact with any outside their race. Iglis established an isolationist doctrine, but his son, Firn, decided to change that, to meet other. Now, with a contingent of 100 Aethionians, Firn has set out on a journey, a journey that will take him far from the lands he knows, to meet others and to establish the place of Aethion in the world.
Their culture is a convoluted thing, revolving around the fisheries, and only recently beginning to care about aesthetics. They are a very practical people, and definitely value practicality over aesthetics, though they will sometimes design important buildings in an artsy way. There are no true classes, though everyone respects those who gather them food. There is no currency, and instead the people of Aethion use a bartering system. They have 5 main cities, each with several thousand residents, and the rest of the population is scattered about these cities, in the farms that lie around them.
Location:[b] The easternmost quarter of the grey section in the north.
[b]Ruler
: Chief Firn.
Bio: The Aethion used to be a loose gathering of nomadic tribes, only united by their common race. But then, Firn's father, Iglis, formed a small army and manged to coerce many of the other tribes to join them in a more centralized area. This became their first "city". Soon, other tribes saw their magnificence, and came to join them in the outskirts. Eventually, though Iglis died, his son, Firn, took up his mantle of uniting the people. Soon Firn realized the main issue of his people: their inability to function during the summer days. He recruited some of the more intelligent members of the nation, and together they figured out bits and pieces of Thaumaturgy, to chance the elements and keep them cool during the day. This was a phenomenal success, and soon the people could concentrate on more and more. They made humongous leaps in a short amount of time, making "farms" for the seal-like creatures that they customarily ate, and soon found another food source in the sparse plants that grew in the icy wasteland. Under Firn, the people prospered like never before, and soon they turned their eyes to other goals...

-Military
Military Population: 5,000.
Common Soldier equipment (please spoiler pictures): A harpoon-headed spear, with a white painted round shield. The shield and the harpoon head are made out of packed ice around a piece of bone to give it a basic shape. They wear leather armor, also painted white. They do not wear helmets.
Strengths: They blend in when in snow, and in general do really well in the cold. Bigger and stronger than some races,
Weaknesses: They don't do heat. Really don't. Not very agile.

-Optional
Theme Music: Na

Keeping this out there.

The Followers would likely be interested in such an agreement. Except for a few areas much of out land is undeveloped with several valuable ores, gems, and crystals that may be of use elsewhere. We occupy the forested/lake area on the northwestern continent.

Sounds like a deal.

Though, since your people are very xenophobic, tensions will probably increase between us as we come closer to your borders (as I planned on establishing a colony south of your nation). This could result in war in the future.

We can do that as since we build structures inside mountains, we're quite able to devote some of what we mine for said weapons.

We currently have no contact with the outside world, and things with fire.... don't work well.
However, we have some very nice ice sculptures.

The Syomir are very tolerant at the borderlands of their nation, and are only xenophobic in disallowing outsiders access to areas deemed religiously sacred. Outsiders that worship Myrrh are even more welcomed.

We have ash. Want ash? We make ash real good. Some more firearms would be nice, but we already know how to make them.

Seeing as we worship different religions, those in our religion may wish to...forcibly convert the people in your nation. Others may want direct access to precious mineral deposits in your nation.

There is another resource you could offer me- slaves.

Your crystal armor would be very valuable to us.

And I am willing to trade all of you weapons, but I will not teach you how to make gunpowder. I wish to maintain a monopoly on the manufacturing of gunpowder.

Soap. Fertilizer. Pottery. Ashball fights when ash season comes around. Ash can help you catch exotic elemental creatures. Ash will lend you a chainsaw hand. Warning: Ash may try to strangle you to prevent you from killing a hostile alien life form.

Yes, everyone's apps so far are accepted, but I'll be looking at locations later.
