Population: 2,000,000 humans, 400 dragons
History and Culture (2 paragraphs minimum): To the west, where the mountains meet the river, was a small tribe of ash dragons. Their tended the forests, kept them tame and perfect for hunting. In time, they came to desire more, but with their claws and their wings, as mighty as they were, they could not build; only burn and scratch the mountains and the forests. They called to humans Argoblieri to build a manor in the mountains where ash dragons could live and keep their riches, and to serve this abode and keep it clean for the ash dragons. Finding safety in the lands of the ash dragons, more humans flocked there and founded the city Kharmarza: "Land of fire" in the ashen tongue. In return for service and fealty the dragons protected the lesser races that came to their land, and let them prosper in the ashes of Kharmarza.
When a sufficient number of mortals gather in one place for long enough their mana collects and gains sentience, becoming a new god bound to that kingdom. Dragons, the greedy creatures they are, weren't bound by this principle, but there was an exception for the ash dragons. Above Kharmarza came forth Kharkov, who formed in the image of the ash dragons and possessed all the primal desires of a dragon. As a god of fire and submission, Kharkov was feared rightly by the ash dragons, who sought to devour him and absorb his great power. A great horde of hundreds assembled to fight the dragon god, and for three days fire rained on Kharmaza. Blood spilled from the sky, a raging inferno outshone the sun, and the ash dragons fought a bitter battle for their sovereign. But in the end, it was Kharkov who emerged triumphant; he struck down all the ash dragons, and bound them to his will. The drakes of Kharmaza now served the dragon god, and gave him his dues in mana. All the lands of the were Kharkov's and his ash dragons', and forever they ruled Kharmaza from the stone towers.

Rp Nation Name: Aethion
Race: Pretty much just anthro-polar bears.
-Nation
Population: 200,000
History and Culture : In the beginning of time, the Aethion were a race of nomads, nothing more. Living off the land, they moved from fishing-hole to fishing hole, never staying in the same place long, because even then they understood that staying there would deplete the food source. They were always on the move, and never had a chance to make any significant advances. Using bone harpoons, they would fish, and during the summer they would burrow into the ice and sleep all day, only coming out during the cooler nights.
But after the Chief Iglis united these people, brought them together into one roving "city", everything changed. The usually nomadic people now had to live with more and more people of their kind. Usually only living with 10 to 20 others, they roved in small groups. But now, with the "city", they moved in one, large, constantly-moving conglomeration. And then they had another shift in their culture, when Iglis's son, Firn, made it so they could stay put, and never have to move again. Their culture is still being shaped at this time, but it still, for now, revolves around the seal-things that give them food. They have time now to make an army, focus on aesthetics, and participate in multitudes of things that other nations participate in. Though they still have not had contact with any outside their race. Iglis established an isolationist doctrine, but his son, Firn, decided to change that, to meet other. Now, with a contingent of 100 Aethionians, Firn has set out on a journey, a journey that will take him far from the lands he knows, to meet others and to establish the place of Aethion in the world.
Their culture is a convoluted thing, revolving around the fisheries, and only recently beginning to care about aesthetics. They are a very practical people, and definitely value practicality over aesthetics, though they will sometimes design important buildings in an artsy way. There are no true classes, though everyone respects those who gather them food. There is no currency, and instead the people of Aethion use a bartering system. They have 5 main cities, each with several thousand residents, and the rest of the population is scattered about these cities, in the farms that lie around them.
Location:[b] The easternmost quarter of the grey section in the north.
[b]Ruler : Chief Firn.
Bio: The Aethion used to be a loose gathering of nomadic tribes, only united by their common race. But then, Firn's father, Iglis, formed a small army and manged to coerce many of the other tribes to join them in a more centralized area. This became their first "city". Soon, other tribes saw their magnificence, and came to join them in the outskirts. Eventually, though Iglis died, his son, Firn, took up his mantle of uniting the people. Soon Firn realized the main issue of his people: their inability to function during the summer days. He recruited some of the more intelligent members of the nation, and together they figured out bits and pieces of Thaumaturgy, to chance the elements and keep them cool during the day. This was a phenomenal success, and soon the people could concentrate on more and more. They made humongous leaps in a short amount of time, making "farms" for the seal-like creatures that they customarily ate, and soon found another food source in the sparse plants that grew in the icy wasteland. Under Firn, the people prospered like never before, and soon they turned their eyes to other goals...
-Military
Military Population: 5,000.
Common Soldier equipment (please spoiler pictures): A harpoon-headed spear, with a white painted round shield. The shield and the harpoon head are made out of packed ice around a piece of bone to give it a basic shape. They wear leather armor, also painted white. They do not wear helmets.
Strengths: They blend in when in snow, and in general do really well in the cold. Bigger and stronger than some races,
Weaknesses: They don't do heat. Really don't. Not very agile.

The Followers would likely be interested in such an agreement. Except for a few areas much of out land is undeveloped with several valuable ores, gems, and crystals that may be of use elsewhere. We occupy the forested/lake area on the northwestern continent.

Though, since your people are very xenophobic, tensions will probably increase between us as we come closer to your borders (as I planned on establishing a colony south of your nation). This could result in war in the future.

The Syomir are very tolerant at the borderlands of their nation, and are only xenophobic in disallowing outsiders access to areas deemed religiously sacred. Outsiders that worship Myrrh are even more welcomed.

Seeing as we worship different religions, those in our religion may wish to...forcibly convert the people in your nation. Others may want direct access to precious mineral deposits in your nation. The Olog-Hai wrote:We currently have no contact with the outside world, and things with fire.... don't work well.

Your crystal armor would be very valuable to us.
And I am willing to trade all of you weapons, but I will not teach you how to make gunpowder. I wish to maintain a monopoly on the manufacturing of gunpowder.
