Does the cryptid traits translate over to their human form?

Yes and No.

Confining their abilities to a mortal teenager's body results in some things being misrepresented or not as easily performed. For instance, a vampire might not be able to turn into a bat, but might hang upside down and be..unusually swift, among other things. I have a character coming in that's a dragon, and can breathe fire but it's extremely painful. Blowing smoke from their nose is masked as being because of a vape pen. Stuff like that. Just assume that anything too OP is too OP and doesn't translate from their more powerful forms to their teenage forms.

Also, since I've been getting questions about this, so I'll clarify: These kids are not descendants of Cryptids. They are the human personifications of every rumor or supposed sighting of their respective beast. Charlie is not one Black Shuck of many, he is the being responsible for every Black Shuck sighting in history. It is only recently that he turned into a human to avoid detection. My apologies if that wasn't clear.

I would say the 2nd one is more appropriate. The 1st one (only a url) seems a bit old for a high school, unless he is actually a teach, which would be an interesting dynamic. Either way, it's up to you.

I am thinking he will not be affiliated with the Student council exactly, except perhaps as a gofer for Ana, or something. ( it wouldnt reflect well, if what he did was connected to Ana, not that he would be caught.)
