When there was no response, Katelyn pushed the door open.

"Hey, Annie, you in here?" she asked quietly, and then spotted the girl she had come to find, curled up, shivering, crying.

"Annice?" she shouted, and ran to the girl's side, hugging her tightly and rocking her back and forth. "Annice, it's okay... It's okay... It's me. It's Katelyn. Listen to me. I'm here. You're okay. I'm here... I won't let anyone hurt you... Nah, 'cause we're friends, right? And friends... look out for each other..." She was crying herself, now. "I'm right here."

She used a bit of wind magic to blow some cool air onto the girl she held. "I'll always be right here. I'll always be right here. See? I'll always be here... if you need a hug or something... I'll... never let you hurt alone..."

Liz pointed off in the direction of the Solum dorms.

"You room will be in that building, you can leave your things there, and if you wish, change into a set of robes matching your house. If you have any questions I will be more than willing to help you as soon as the young lady here has finished."
Idza turned towards Virgo as he performed his magic. She watched as he became less of a mage, and more a crafter at his trade. He created in his hand a small piece of clay; this clay became molded, with expert precision, into the crest of the house Solum. It seemed quite clear that he already had in mind where he was going. Idza marveled softly at his handiwork, having just seen magic unlike her own.

With quick movements, the professor reproved his point; "I pronounce you a member of house Solum." That was that, it seemed.

From that moment, it was Idza's turn. She wanted to impress a little, seeing as she made a tentative friend and/or acquaintance. This was, for all intents and purposes, going to decide her life, henceforth. The fox jumped down and, after rounding around her slightly, moved a little bit away and took a resting pose.

She quickly placed her hands together, closed her eyes, and breathed inward and outwardly in large breaths. With each breath it seemed as if the air moved with her; and her soul, it seemed to resonate with the air... or maybe the air resonated with her soul, It was difficult to tell which was being moved with the other. This small exercise was a basic spell to collect oneself with the elements, in this case the air. It was used for air magic, but was also the base of much of her spirit magic.

Idza pulled out her hand, still with her eyes closed, and breathed outwardly with a strong purpose. Soon enough, in her hand lived a small greenish blue fire. Around her also roamed three moving fires, but it did not seem to bring an insurmountable warmth. The fire seemed colder than anything. As she stood calmly, the fires seemed to grow around the small area. "I recommend not moving," she calmly warned them. The fires came to dance around her and the teacher, but never touching, despite the lack of her having direct sight. They even went into intricate patterns at times, but only for a little bit.

And then, she opened her eyes and watched as the puffs of fire slowly faded away. Not too long as to be annoying or mere gloating. They showcased her power, and then they left quietly. They were otherworldly in nature.

Afterwards, the fox, Ash, wandered back to Idza. The fox's four tails seemed to flaunt themselves around, stroking Ash's ego. It was a prideful spirit, and having so many tails was mere proof of her authority. She then jumped on top of her shoulder, not seeming to be heavy, and curled around, into a sleep.

"Is that enough?" Idza remarked, wondering truthfully if she needed to see the power up close more.

Catherine de Sanguine Vivere

Aria was beautiful, and not just to Catherine. Yet because it was Catherine looking upon her, that beauty was magnified hundredfold. Catherine felt she would never see anything quite like the girl now joining her in the shower. Once Aria had joined her under flow of warm water, Catherine knelt down. She began tenderly scrubbing Aria's feet and legs.

"You know, in many other cultures, bathing together is a way of bonding. Cleaning a loved one is sign of humbleness, of compassion. I think they're onto something. This... This is nice."

Virgo Alashni

Virgo gave Tsukuyomi a small bow, and showed the slightest hint of a smile towards Idza. "Thank you, Professor." he said, now picking his head up and heading out to the Solum dormitories, where he would simply settle in. There was no need for ceremony just yet. As he walked away from them both, the words, "Good luck, Idza." sounded from where Virgo now was.

Aria Comnena

The soft touch of Catherine's hands on her body was an oddly exciting sensation to Aria, and the warmth of the water was a pleasant feeling. Her long crimson haired flowed down past her shoulders and further, and her smooth, snow white skin possessed a faint aroma of roses.

Just as Aria was beautiful to Catherine, the same could be said in Aria's perception of Catherine. Catherine's skin was as pale as Aria's, and her red eyes shined like rubies. Her lusterless black hair was let down to it's full length, and the blood runes all over her body glowed softly, as if they reflected her current mood, which seemed to be a content and happy one as of now.

"Very...I remember Lady Livia telling me about these things, but I never saw it in practice...Not until today, that is." Aria said with a happy tone in her voice and a healthy glow in her sunset orange eyes.

Sage

"I am simply here to see my sister," she answered. Her expression had changed, becoming a little more serious, and her voice showed a hatred that would take a lifetime to develop. Whatever she planned to do with her sister definitely wasn't to share a hug and an exchange of words. Revenge was the true answer. Revenge for the betrayal of her sister so long ago. What Inari had done to her was unforgivable, and she wanted to return the favor.

The hand went back to the handle of its sword. "So what if you hurt her or kill her? Will it bring you back? What has she ever done to you? Honestly, I'm confused. Would it be sexist to hit you or to not hit you?"

"Well, I don't mind yet, anyway." Amanda said. Which was true--though she could foresee some potential problems, she decided she ought to wait and see if they would occur or not. Premature judgement was a tad unfair. "...I'll only mind really if you mess the place up, play music too loud, or have people over if I tell you Im going to need to study. Is that fine?"

She could believe that he wouldn't do something that was probably against the rules here (which, in her opinion, was pretty stupid. It prevented none of the relationship drama from happening and threw in unnecessary restrictions, though she didn't mind it being banned in the room because frankly, she didn't want to watch), but she could definitely believe that it'd be over within a month or so. Either way, she only said "Heh, the school will have you covered, probably."

Now, the den keeper is here to defend it's kin." Ruta said, making it very clear that he was not going to make the first move. If Sage left here and now, he would leave her unharmed. If she tried to fight, only then would he retaliate. "And that, dear Albrecht, is why we will not attack." he said in response to her reservations about fighting the demon.

She wasn't sure she liked this guy much--he seemed pretty much like a less fit shithead--but she decided she didn't want to start a fight ith him, so she added a question. Annice Null

Something started to interrupt that one singular thought running through her mind.
They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all...
Annice heard a voice. It sounded weird, distant, unreal. She had heard it before. She felt someone holding her. Not him. He was dead. Who was he? What did they all know? As Annice started to come back the memories, the dream fled from her mind. Some one was holding her, trying to talk to her. Katelyn? She was actually here? She came.
Annice opened her eyes, she had stopped crying. Her throat was horse. She didn't remember why she was crying, or when Katelyn got here. She looked at the girl with worry in her eyes.

"Katelyn... are you alright?"

Am I alright?

Elizabeth Tsukuyomi

The true Tsukuyomi still stood with Idza on the shore, carefully watching how the she worked her mana. She felt the wind. Liz felt the touch of astral energies in the girls magic. They had no spirit house here, so Liz settled on Venta for the girl, she certainly had talent with air magic. Again Liz gestured at one of the living halls.

"I shall place you in Venta. Your room will be in that building, as before, you may leave your belongings there, and if you wish change into a set of the schools robes."

Liz pause for a second, thinking about the spirit magic that the girl had displayed. It was certainly a unique talent among the students.

"Your magic, you touch upon the astral plane, the realm of spirits. I will be most exited to have you in my classes."

Catherine de Sanguine Vivere

There was, of course, something erotic about showering with Aria. Instead of just using this time to feed her baser needs, Catherine wanted to bond with Aria on a personal level. Sex on it's own was fun, but ultimately unfulfilling. Sure she wanted to be with Aria physically, but much more than that Catherine wanted to truly know Aria, to share in her life. Catherine took her time cleaning Aria, she wanted to know her body, be as close to her as possible. As she finished she asked Aria;

"Lady Livia, who is she? I don't think you've told me about her."
The year’s at the spring,
And day’s at the morn;
Morning’s at seven;
The hill-side’s dew-pearled;
The lark’s on the wing;
The snail’s on the thorn;
God’s in His heaven—
All’s right with the world!

hi!

The girl's palm tightened around her dagger. She felt the presence of each of his phantoms. All of them were armed with weapons. All she could do was prepare herself for his attack. "You may be right, Murderer," she replied, closing her eyes momentarily. He greatly underestimates me... Humans tend to act in such a way. As soon as they see one of us, their instant reaction is to kill. There is no reasoning with them. Unlike many of the demons Ruta may have fought in the past, she and Inari were part of the new generation. They had been fighting since they could walk. Not only that, but they came from a family of high-ranking demons. Because of this, they were naturally powerful. Demons like them were rare to find in the mortal realm. "If you plan to attack me, do it now. I don't have all day to wait."

"I'm afraid I am not here to kill you. This murderer is off duty. My only purpose here is to make sure that you leave this island. You trespassed into the fox's den. Now, the den keeper is here to defend it's kin." Ruta said, making it very clear that he was not going to make the first move. If Sage left here and now, he would leave her unharmed. If she tried to fight, only then would he retaliate. "And that, dear Albrecht, is why we will not attack."

Sage

She sighed and shook her head. "Do you truly think that I will disgrace myself and run away? No. I would never do such a thing," she stated. Once she had finsihed speaking, she simply dropped the dagger that she had clung to and stepped toward him once more. "So, this will never end. I'll be here, you'll be there, and I can sit her until the end of eternity. One of us will die eventually. You may only have a few days to survive, since you require sustenance."

Once she was standing before him, she looked up at the figure. "Since I'm generous, I'll give you one more chance. What are you gonna do?" Then, with that last word, she flicked his nose.

Something started to interrupt that one singular thought running through her mind.
They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all knew. They all...

"Katelyn... are you alright?"

Am I alright?

"...Annice?" Katelyn muttered. "You... You were having a nightmare or something... I didn't know what to do... But it's okay now, right? You're going to be fine... I'm going to be fine... I don't know what happened to you, but I promise... I won't let anyone hurt you... I won't let you be scared or hurt and have to feel like you're alone... I promise. I promise. You don't have to be alone anymore. Neither of us does... 'cause now we've got friends to look out for us, right? We don't have to be alone."

Ignis flared up. "Heck this! You did not just boop his snoot!" Apparently, she had been watching too many snek memes recently "I do a rage! Hiss!" she hissed at her and struck a very belligerent stance , her fists up to her face and she was shifting around Sage like a ring fighter. "You wanna go, buddy? Huh, do you?"

Sage

She turned to the serpent that wished to attack her and smirked. "Stand back, snake, before I put you in your place. You belong here as much as I do," she replied, flicking her wrist to the side. Ignis would feel her arms become weak as Sage's energy attached itself to hers. She had no intent to do harm, only to disarm. "I laid down my weapon; now I expect you to do the same."

"Hey, if I stop doing smack to you, will you cut it out with the snake nickname?" She said irritably, hoping to conceal her desperation. "I may be a dick, but I ain't that kind of dick, sweet cheeks."

"The last time I checked, demons were more about survival than honor. And I'm afraid there is such a thing as impatience in the ranks of you hellspawn. We all know it. All you want is that sweet taste of blood. You don't even care who it is, or how you inflict the pain. All that you know is that you want to destroy, to shred, to cut lives to pieces. You sin, and you revel in it, you lecher." the phantom spat, sheathing it's blade as Sage did.

When it's nose was flicked, the dark that composed the phantom simply became distorted, rearranging itself back to normal in a matter of a few seconds. "I think I'll sit and wait, dearie."

Sage

She snickered darkly at Ignis's poor attempt to hide the truth. She had threatened Sage with a blade for flicking the nose of the murderer, so she wasn't going to let her off freely. "You know very well that it is no nickname. You live among them, deceiving them with every second that they allow you to stay. Trust is a fragile thing, Demon. I know that personally."

"So rude," she mumbled, crossing her arms and fixing her gaze to her feet. Honestly, she would prefer Rabbit's complimenting over Ruta's endless torrent of stereotypical insults. Tell me, why do you choose to not show your true self to me? I'll show you mine, and then we can play a game," she replied, smiling. Sage did love her games, mostly because they allowed her to understand those around her.

"Quiet yourself, Ignis, there's no reason to be so crass," Rabbit told her, putting a hand on her shoulder, "Antonius is dealing with her now. If you cannot be quiet and simply wait for further instructions, I would suggest you leave." They themselves were looking around them at the various phantoms who were watching Sage. They were all armed, Sage had a weapon, and even Ignis had brought something. They were the only one who came completely unarmed. Though, then again, Rabbit was never necessarily armed. What they were capable of, they normally kept under wraps, and they were hoping they would not have to show anything to Sage, around these eight Jaëgars.
