He was obviously trying to act seductive now.

Kallm snorted with stifled laughter about the girl's room comment.

Not quite.

He started to blush a little when she mentioned Leone liking guys, but shrugged it off and masked his face with a sly grin. He leaned in to join the conversation from behind them.

Kallm closed his mouth, which had just been forming the beginning of some braggy bullshit. Instead Kallm silently returned to leaning on the wall.

Don't be an idiot. Of course you're only friends with him.

Kallm blushed and pulled out his phone, pretending to be utterly invested in it.

"And that's cute coming from a maid assassin." Leone said with a half smile and a wink.

It was at this point that the doors to the conference room opened and Abrir and Nadia walked in, Nadia first with Abrir following. "Alright, all of you teenagers! Get in the seats. Let's go. Sit down." Nadia said, her eyes going over each of them as they sit down. Abrir chuckled to himself and moved up to the front of the table, typing into a touch screen that was built into the table they were sitting at.

Nadia moved up next to him. "Alright, we all here? I got Alice, Die-Die, Leone, Henry, Estella, Kallm... Where's Alexis?" she asked, looking at each of them.

Dietrich shivered, when he heard Nadia call him that. Only one person called him that, his Mistress.

She would be furious, if she saw her calling me that... he thought, worriedly.

He then quietly suggested for Alexis, "He's coming, I think...just give him a little time..." he muttered.

Hearing that last mumble from Dietrich, Henry chuckled. "Oh, come on, you don't have to worry about talking to me. I don't bite." Yeah, his friend back home was awesome. Yeah, the guy never smiled, but he was a good friend. "Nobody has ever what?" He asked, leaning in just a bit to hear the answer if Dietrich happened to mutter it. "Sorry if I'm being nosy, but I am filled with curiosity. Well, that and sleepiness. I have a ton of sleepiness inside of me." That last part was more or less meant as a joke. He'd often make jokes about himself anyways. It was mostly just about how lazy he was. It was how he got his master's attention, at least.

"I-I...I've never had...any real friends before..." he muttered sadly. It was a sad truth. He hadn't had one before his parents died-he was already a little shy then, but not cripplingly so. Now, since he had been taken in by his Mistress, he had slowly become painfully meek and timid. He always did what he was told, including being seen and not heard by others. Talking to people without her permission, or if he had not completed a duty she had wanted him to complete, usually ended with him getting a scolding...or worse.

Henry frowned just a small bit at this. "Aw, that's a shame." He said before moving back to his original sitting position, deciding to not invade the boy's personal space. "Well, I can be your friend if you want." He said before putting his hands behind his head. He threw the term friend around a bit uncaringly, but this kid seemed nice enough. He could call him his friend, certainly.

His eyes were more or less completely open now, so he avoided that rather dopey look he usually had on him. "Because if so, I'm glad to have you as a friend. I'm sure we'll get along just fine."

"...Do you have a lot of friends?" he asked. Seeing Leone, who seemed to attract everyone in the room to him like he was the sun, he wondered if Henry had any friends of his own.

"I have about two friends if you don't count my master." Henry responded. Yeah, he didn't have many friends, but those guys were awesome. "One of them is really energetic and ambitious while the other one is always grumpy and never smiles. Trust me, I tried it before. It never works." He chuckled and shook his head. Yeah that was an interesting friend.

"...Does my dog count?" Dietrich asked. He had a huge, fluffy St. Bernard back at his Mistress's mansion, and while he wasn't human, he definitely was a great and lovable companion. He also worked as a big pillow or as a snuggle-mate.

Henry held back a chuckle at this. "They don't say that dogs are a man's best friend for no reason." He said with a smile. "I never had an animal companion when I was little. I was only around humans when I wasn't sleeping, which was most of the time. I like to sleep. It's a hobby of mine. I sometimes record my dreams as well. That's fun."

"I am here," uttered Alexis shortly after Nadia had inquired, whilst Dietriech made his remark. Though he had only arrived within a few seconds of Nadia's roll-call, he had still made a rather inconspicuous entry to the conference room, and as such, despite his pale dress being fairly distinctive, it was easy to not immediately notice the slight form of the German mage.

His gaze moved towards Dietrich as he veered towards a nearby seat, his mind briefly going over the previous events, including the other boy's rapid slumber whilst they had been talking that night. Alexis himself may have slept a bit at some point, though he was more apt to engage in research or other activities during such times, and sleep wasn't as much of a necessity as it was to normal mortals, though a degree of sleep was still necessary, even as a ghoul, and subject to various changes undertaken by his Mistress, as well as via alchemical alteration and magical parasitic infestation.

Indeed, in regards to the last, he'd probably spent more time in the early hours of the morning trying to curb the parasites' interest in the other boy as a source of "food". That had also probably accounted for him being late, as he sought to keep them from turning that interest to anything more concrete than that. Should they be particularly motivated, he could essentially become a prisoner in his own body, with their control over his nervous system, senses and the chemicals that influenced his emotions.

Dietrich waved to him, as he went to sit on the other side of Alexis. "Hey...Did you sleep alright?...I-I'm sorry I kinda...passed-out on your bed..." he whispered, suddenly embarrassed all over again. "...So do you fight too?"

"Oh, okay..." Dietrich replied. He then looked out the window, again, not paying attention to Abrir and Nadia.

I wish I could do that...escape to some sort of dream world...
