Zarall chuckled a bit and responded, "I assure you, this is the safest place in all of reality. If you want I could restore it to peak condition, as well as transfer quite a bit of money into you and your coworker's bank accounts so you never have to worry about money again."

Installation 00, Desert
The heroes would emerge from the portal in a desert canyon, outside a massive complex. The canyon and the ramps leading up to the complex's doors looked empty, but there were definitely signs of someone or something inhabiting this area. As the trolls spread out to inspect the area, Clay checked to see if his future vision was working again. Indeed, it appeared that now he was back inside a universe his Seer abilities were working normally again. Which is to say, they worked as cryptically as always. With his red hood pulled over his eyes, he saw dozens of possible futures for the group of heroes, all but one of which involved a group of strange aliens attacking. Some further probing of favorable timelines revealed that the heroes would most benefit from finding the Ark's Cartographer. Unwilling to look too much farther, Clay pulled his hood down and called the others over.
"Okay, so I looked a bit into the future. That big building over there has a room nice holographic map room in it that, should we get to it, will be perfect for making a plan on how to break this thing."
"That sounds like a not-shitty plan," Karkat replied.
"You'd think so, wouldn't you. The problem is, every future that leads to us getting there also involves copious amounts of aliens attacking us."
"Um, when you say 'copious'... how many bad guys is that, exactly?" Tavros asked nervously.
"Another viable adjective would be shit-ton."
"That's, a lot,"
"Oh, we'll be fine, Tavros." Vriska said, rolling her eyes. "I mean, there's like 13 god tiers here and I'm sure the non-gods of that weird species aren't totally useless."
"Um... sure. Anyway, guys, I'm gonna need you to trust me so that we all get there. Seriously, there's only, like, two timelines that none of us die in."
"I already trust you! You're a fellow Seer, and already a way better leader than Karkat."
"Oh, fuck you."

Installation 00, Ice Canyon
The villains were deposited in an ice canyon, with a large complex in the center. There was no sign anywhere of any inhabitants here, but within the walls of the complex there were quite a few Forerunner Sentinels ready to protect the fortress. Also within the walls was the firing controls for the entire Halo Array, as well as access to the still-unfinished Installation 04 replacement.
"Okay, here we are. It has been quite a long time since I was last on this station. In order to find our enemies, we will have to access the station's controls. The nearest control center is within that building, so logically that must be our first destination."

"Blast, it's just like Tatooine isn't it?" Obi-Wan muttered.

"It would seem so. And these other 'heroes' sure have some mouths on them don't they?" Qui-Gon mused.

"I've heard worse. Mostly from Anakin, but still..." Obi-Wan trailed off. Before he had a chance to continue, the angel disappeared in a flash of light, and in his place appeared a human man dressed up in military gear. His brown hair was pulled back in a low ponytail, and his right eye was covered by an eye-patch. He pulled out a stick of gum and began to chew it.

"The Ark. Let's hope we're luckier at this than the UNSC was." He pulled out a revolver and gave the chamber a spin. "Let's get moving. Eyes peeled and your head on a swivel. "

Wily shivered in the snow. "Great. Why didn't he give us coats or something? I'm FREEZING out here."

Condy grinned. "Chill out, Doc. We'll be inside and warm 'fore you can laugh maniacally. Let's hope those hero suckas are here too. I'm itchin' for a fight." Wily simply glared at her.

Megatron looked at Shockwave. "Those drones. Can you determine if they are hostile to us?"

"Thanks, but no thanks. I think the Commissioner would know something was up if I returned with a better jeep than he gave me. Plus, taking huge sums of money outside of my paycheck for essentially doing my job isn't exactly my thing. Try Mr. Tyrane."Tadayoshi laughed.
"Well, thanks for the offer anyway."
He turned around and headed into the portal. When he got out, he saw a large desert. He walked up next to Marguerite, and still looking up into the sky towards one of the buildings, spoke.
"Huh. Out of the pan and into the fire. Sitrep?"
"In that building is a holographic map room. Get to it. However, there are a lot of unfriendlies."
"Guns?"
"Not sure. Hey Clay, do the enemies have firearms?"

Clay scratched his chin. "Well, not exactly firearms, per se. At least I don't think plasma weapons are counted as 'firearms'. No, they have a large variety of plasma guns, rocket launchers, turrets, grenades, vehicles, all that good stuff."

Installation 00, Ice Canyon
"I can answer that," Bivtris said. "The Sentinels are hostile to all non-humans, as well as humans who threaten the Ark. However, they can be reprogrammed rather easily to serve our needs from the Installation Controls. I suggest we get moving as soon as possible."

Installation 00, Desert:
Ulrik had burst out of the portal after the trolls and said "Ok now, who's going to take point? I vote either of the two dorks without any pants act as the rear guard." he brew his longsword from its sheath, the blade seemed to be spotted with blood and was surrounded by an ominous red aura. Behind him his three partners emerged followed by the other 16 people "Come on, let's not waste any time." Brelyna readied a fire spell in both hands, Lydia drew her Blades Sword enchanted with an ice spell, and then Heimskr pulled out a flaming sword. The eight God-Tier kids then readied their weapons, and among the final eight only the two elderly Pines and Wendy pulled out weapons, Stan had bras knuckles and a bat, Ford drew a sci-fi pistol, and Wendy pulled out an axe. Ulrik stopped and said "Wait........... what's a "gun" and what is "plasma"? Eh, doesn't matter, I've got a magic sword and that's all I need." Stanford said "Alright, we'll need to take the holographic map room quickly and locate the enemy before they locate us."

Installation 00, Ice Canyon
Shockwave looked around "If I may suggest a course of action? While you go and take the installation controls, I shall hack into the Sentinel drones so that they'll serve us. We must logically set up a defense to prepare for the heroes' assault. Do we know the size of the enemy force?"

Tadayoshi, Marguerite, and the Bountyhunter all took out their guns and racked the slides.
"Is that a USP? Those are getting kinda rare. And isn't kind of a pricey gun to have as a service pistol?"
"Amplificata get to choose their sidearms, remember? Project X still uses the Beretta."
"Yeah, but I chose an M1911. I didn't start using the HK until after I left."
"Eh. You get what you pay for."
Tadayoshi turned to face everyone else.
"Well, we're ready. If the rest of you are ready, we should head out."

"Mewtwo, Lucario, I choose you!" Red said, throwing two of his Pokeballs.

In a burst of digital energy, Mewtwo and Lucario reformed and walked over to Red. He smiled before turning to the rest of the group, waiting to see if anyone had any plans. Looking at his remaining Pokeballs, he decided to wait to release the others, just in case they needed a surprise attack. Mewtwo looked at each person in the group individually, before turning his back and crossing his arms, looking across the horizon.

Installation 00, Desert
"I don't see why anybody would be looking for us, Stanford," Clay said, drawing his weapon- a shortsword with a rubber hilt that coursed with electricity. "Zarall said that Asteraoth hadn't gotten around to putting his guard back here, and I didn't see anything other than aliens attacking us with my future-vision. Granted, I didn't look very far, but still." Now the trolls drew their weapons- a variety of long range, short range, and melee weapons. Aradia, Sollux, and Equius all didn't take out weapons, but instead intended on relying on their psychic powers or immense strength. With everyone ready to go, Karkat hovered in the air a bit and gestured toward the buildings with his sickle.
"Okay, trolls and other things, here we go. We're going to launch a full assault on this thing, and kill every alien that stands in our way! Then, we get to the map room, find out how to destroy this fucking thing, do the plan that we come up with, and plant a boot firmly up the ass of Asteraoth while we heroically escape a massive explosion!"
Some trolls cheered (mostly sarcastically), and the heroes started running at the complex with Karkat at the head. As soon as he set foot on the ramps leading up to the doors, a hail of plasma fire erupted from further up. Immediately, Eridan opened fire with his laser rifle, vaporizing the Grunts leading the Covenant charge. Sollux and Aradia joined in the long-range defense, firing more lasers and deflecting grenades back at the enemy lines. The rest of the trolls and Clay found cover, and started slowly working their way up the ramps, engaging the Covenant forces when they got close enough to be cut/stabbed/slashed/forked/clawed/punched/chainsawed.

Installation 00, Ice Canyon
"Unfortunately for that plan, the Sentinels can only be reworked from the main controls. You will need to come with us in order to do that. As for the size of their forces, our spy indicates that they are well over thirty in number; however, many of them are simply human and thus easy to kill. The only real problems come from the ones with special powers, of which there are still many. I do believe, though, that once we get the Sentinels and other assorted mechanics of this Installation on our side, such as weather controls, we will vastly outmatch them."

Ulrik ran into battle, cutting a Grunt in half with ease "These guys are the ugliest things I've ever seen!" he then shot lightning out of his open left hand and killed some other grunts. Brelyna began torching the Grunts with fireballs while Lydia and Heimskr ran in and joined the people in the melee, Stanford began firing his plasma pistol at the Covenant while Stanley ran in with his bat and began beating them down with his bat. The eight god-tier kids then went into battle with their variety of weapons, bright blue blood soon stained ramps as Grunts fell left and right. The unarmed kids watched "Hey Wendy, why don't you go and join them?" Wendy simply shrugged and said "Right now, I'm just here to make sure you guys don't end up getting shot up by these ugly aliens."

Installation 00, Ice Canyon
Shockwave paused "That is a very logical plan, we must move immediately. The faster we take control of the station and activate the defenses the less of a chance for the heroes to destroy the place." he began to walk off towards the Installation Controls.

Tadayoshi, Marguerite, and the Bountyhunter attacked some of the grunts, shooting them. When they would get close enough, they would conserve ammunition by using hand to hand combat*, flipping them to the ground, breaking bones, or sweeping them, following up with a finishing blow, usually using a knife to kill the grunts. Tadayoshi in particular was extremely quick, using his enhanced abilities to move through the ranks of grunts in the blink of an eye, and using his scanners, becoming an extremely precise killer.

*Tadayoshi and the Bountyhunter were more reluctant to use ammunition, as their guns held fewer rounds, and each round was more expensive.

"Hey, kid! Catch!" Red said, tossing Mabel the Pokeball with Raichu in it, "A little extra defense, and he seems to like you."

Red, Mewtwo and Lucario ran to join the battle. Red, while unarmed himself, gave commands to his Pokemon as he sent Charizard, Jolteon and Growlithe out to join in the fray. He surveyed everything and gave the commands.

"Mewtwo, use Aura Sphere!" he called, "Lucario, Force Palm! Charizard, use Fire Fang! Growlithe, Will-o-Wisp! Jolteon, Attack with Thunder!"

Mewtwo stood back, using his psychic power to form a ball of pure aura energy. After a few seconds, he sent it flying at some of the Grunts, taking them out with ease. Lucario jumped from Grunt-to-Grunt, taking them out with the power of Force Palm, and paralyzing the ones that didn't faint. Charizard's teeth became fire as he bit the Grunts stupid enough to come near him, burning them as his teeth cut through their skin. Growlithe, meanwhile, sent powerful flames of a strange, blue hue at the Grunts as Jolteon simply fired bolts of electricity at his foes.

Installation 00, Desert
With the Grunts being devastated by the heroes, the rest of the Covenant forces joined the fight. Jackals opened fire with beam rifles from high places, Skirmishers engaged with Needlers and Plasma Pistols, and the leading Brutes thundered in with Plasma Rifles, Plasma Launchers, and Gravity Hammers. Dozens more Grunts also entered, these ones riding Ghosts, manning Shade Turrets, or firing Plasma Launchers indiscriminately.
With this surge of new combatants, the trolls reorganized into one of the battle plans developed during their extended session. Aradia and Sollux broke off from their attacking and instead focused on deflecting plasma bolts away from Nepeta and Equius, their two best melee fighters. Nepeta and Equius forced their way deep into enemy lines, clawing Skirmishers into pieces and punching Brutes quite literally into orbit. The rest of the close-range fighters continued to make their way up the ramp, and Eridan worked on picking off the snipers with Ahab's Crosshairs.

Installation 00, Ice Canyon
Bivtris followed Shockwave up the many ramps to the large doors leading into the facility. As she started trying to open them, a pair of Sentinels popped up from some columns on the floor. The Sentinels began firing their laser beams at the villains, but Bivtris was quicker. She fired two lime green beams from her palms and the robots were obliterated.
"They may not look like much now, but in large numbers their beams can be devastating. And there are quite a few of them packed away in this installation. Oh, there's the door."
The doors opened, and Bivtris stepped inside.

Two of the Needler needles hit Ulrik's shoulder armor and got lodged there "Ha! That did absolutely noth-" the needles then blew up right in his face and tossed him to the ground, Brelyna went and helped him up "Are you ok?" Ulrik chuckled and said "Well....... I still have an arm." he stood and quickly reentered the battle, joining Equius and Nepeta in charging the center of the enemies. Ford put away his pistol and pulled out a plasma rifle and began shooting the grunts on the Ghosts while Dave and John charged the Shade Turret manning ones. "Where did these freaks even come from?!"

Installation 00, Ice Canyon
Shockwave entered the room, his head banging against the upper part of the doorway. He looked through the control room and said "Now, let us begin the operation. We shall hack into the terminals and logically locate the location of the enemy, then we will send the Sentinel's after them in a logical fashion."

Tadayoshi split off, focusing on some of the new arrivals, until a Skirmisher took aim at Marguerite. Tadayoshi rushed over into the path just as the skirmisher fired, taking the needles in the gut. There was a small explosion, splattering some parts of Tadayoshi's guts across the room. Tadayoshi collapsed for a short moment, but eventually got back up, guts in tact due to his healing ability.
"That's still gross, Dan." Marguerite teased.
"You're welcome."
Tadayoshi and Marguerite went back to fighting alongside each other.

00, Desert:

Michael emptied his revolver rapidly and killed an alien on each shot. As soon as his gun emptied he pulled a sword from seemingly nowhere and began to hack his way through the enemies, dodging plasma and needles as he went. Meanwhile the two jedi were near the front as well, blocking enemy fire and discouraging enemy charges. "Well, this is exciting," Obi-Wan quipped. Qui-Gon simply shook his head in between shots.

00, Ice Canyon:

Wily hefted a broken piece of a sentinel. "Facinating. If I could, I'd take a couple of these for study. I could learn so much from this place!"

Mitakihara City was gone.

The shining beacon of technological advancement and postmodernist architecture was turned to nothing but rubble along with...

Along with...

She couldn't...

It hurt to even think about. The words...

The words wouldn't even form in her head.

The never-ending torrent of rain, its droplets propelled to insane speeds by unnatural gale winds, could not break the blue haired girl from her stupor. Her eyes, pupils shaking wildly about, could not take their attention away from the thing that hovered multitudes of feet above the air.

Walpurgisnacht.

The mere thought of the Grand Witch's name brought the girl to her knees. The pieces of debris from the ruined city and shrapnel from modern ordinance that lodged themselves on her legs didn't even register in the girl's mind as her sword, a cutlass that would have made the smiths of old weep in jealousy, fell from her hand with a clang drowned out by thunder and the Witch's crazed, haunting laugh.

The sound, oh god the sound. It reverberated in her ears in loud, unceasing echoes that simply wouldn't, couldn't, and shouldn't ever leave her consciousness. It was a searing hot brand on her memories, a constant and painful reminder of this day.

The girl screamed, primal and tortured notes exiting her throat, as lightning illuminated her surroundings and the skyscraper she was on was uprooted from the ground by a invisible force.

Concrete groaned and metal heaved as glass shattered into millions of pieces at the spectacle. As far as the eyes could see, the phenomena repeated itself as the cause of all this destruction, this suffering, turned to look at the last germ that stood in its path.

No.

It did not look at the germ for why would a God examine something so small? Why would the Stage Witch notice a insignificant prop like her?

The beast known as Walpurgisnacht looked beyond that.

It looked at the Storm Shelter kilometers away from the city.

It looked at her family. At what remained of her circle of friends. At INNOCENTS.

The Knight's hands balled into fists as her entire body shook in anger at the thought. Her will BURNED and her magic YEARNED to be used. Her screams of pathetic despair turned to shouts of anger and fury that bore witness to her determination.

The world witnessed Sayaka Miki's stubbornness. The Grand Witch bore witness to a insignificant germ's ideals.

Whatever determination she was able to muster quickly disappeared as her blood froze and fear took hold of her mind.

Walpurgisnacht was looking at her.

The Witch's face, a enormous white mannequin-like parody of a human's without eyes, ears or a nose, was mere inches away from her. It no longer laughed yet its lips, coated in the finest red lipstick, was still fixed in a wide infectious grin.

Sayaka could not scream, she could not talk, she could not move but she dearly wished she could.

The stand-off was given a quick end as the Witch let out a deafening series of girlish giggles that soon evolved into fits of mad laughter. The girl was so close to the source of the harsh laugh that the last thing she heard were two loud pops as her ears bled into uselessness

It was at that moment that the Grand Witch did her a favor.

It unfroze her blood and drove her back into consciousness.

The girl flailed around wildly and screamed as multicolored flames suddenly consumed her entire body. Her eyes, boiled into non-existence, failed her and she fell from the skyscraper. Whilst in mid-air, her skin and clothes turned into charcoal as bits and pieces of it simply flaked off. She wasn't even half-way through falling but her hoarse screams of pain were already growing increasingly faint until her throat simply evaporated into smoke, finally silencing her.

She never got to reach the ground for the thing that called itself Sayaka Miki simply ceased to be.

Aebrenata

Bed sheets went flying into the air as Sayaka jolted upwards from her bed in as she screamed in a manner that would have woken up her overworked mother and their neighbors.

Finally awake I see.

A syrupy sweet voice sure to make any child swoon, spoke in Sayaka's mind. The bleunette turned to look at her desk and there sat a familiar face.

Red eyes, a cat's closed smile and white fur all combined to make the most huggable creature in the universe. That extremely fluffy tail and second set of floppy ears protruding from cat ears did not help dissuade many a child from thinking otherwise.

"Kyubey?" She asked, still half-asleep as she rubbed her eyes, walked off her bed and drew open her bedroom's thick pink curtains. A cascade of sunlight assaulted her eyes as the sound of Mitakihara waking up followed the initial attack by charging her ears.

She welcomed them gladly. After that nightmare, which was quickly fading from memory, a little reassurance from the real world went a long way.

Frankly, she didn't care that Kyubey no longer replied and just walked around her admittedly spacious bed room. She had better things to do, like her daily morning ritual.

A few quick stretches and lots of grooming later, she went downstairs and had breakfast. Mom wasn't home yet, probably because of another late-night shift, but that was fine by both of them. Mom had work to do after all and Sayaka could take care of herself.

She had to.

It took her a moment but she quickly realized that Kyubey wasn't her only companion at the dinner table.

Strange aren't they?

The furry white alien said as he climbed up and settled on Sayaka's shoulder.

Zarall and Xeltos, two beings waaay older than her, were currently sitting in what she perceived as her home. "I'm just gonna go call the police." The bleunette said as she stood up from her chair and dialed the nearest police station's number.

They may be two powerful beings that could crush her like a bug but to the ignorant Sayaka, they were just two weird old strangers.

Worse yet, they were two foreign weird old strangers inside her apartment. If that didn't ring her 'stranger danger' senses then she didn't know what will.

Installation 00, Desert
Before long, the heroes had dispatched all Covenant forces guarding the entrance to the complex. Dead aliens, destroyed vehicles, discarded weapons, and plenty of blood lay scattered across the ramps. Now that the initial assault was over, Feferi was using her powers to heal plasma burns and Clay was briefing the others on the next step to the Cartographer.
"Ok, good work everyone. Nobody died, so that means we're in one of the more favorable timelines. Of course, there's still plenty of opportunities for death coming up but hey, gotta stay optimistic. Anyway, this next part is gonna be a lot of close-quarters stuff as we move through some hallways and small rooms filled to the brim with assorted aliens who want us dead. Watch each others backs, and keep an eye out for wild grenades. Any questions?"

"Take whatever you like," Bivtris said. "Anything you can learn from these drones and then apply to your own robots would give us a great advantage. Now, I am going to work on unlocking the more advanced controls to the Installation. Shockwave, you get the Sentinels on our side. The rest of you... help Doctor Wily gather up parts for him to study, set up defenses, or look around for information terminals so we can find those who would destroy this place."

Aebrenata
"Don't bother calling the police, Sayaka Miki. It wouldn't do you any good." Zarall said, and he immediately clamped his hand over his mouth. "My goodness, that sounded sinister. I sincerely apologize for that. Let me start over- I am Zarall, the Lord of Good. This is my lieutenant, Xeltos. We have summoned you to our realm outside of your universe to request your assistance in a very grave manner. You see, all of reality is threatened."

Ugh-Zhan huffed and snapped his fingers. Immediately, a dozen major biomechanoids appeared, along with four dozen cloned riflemen.

Megatron nodded. "I suppose that's one way to do it." he said, sizing up the 30 foot tall Biomechanoids.

Ulrik wiped some sweat from his face and said "There are no questions, comments, or concerns. Let's move, I'll take point with you, because I have a spell that allows me to see a path to whatever I'm looking for."

Shockwave went up to the computers and went to work putting the Sentinels under their control, having to lean over to do so. He feverishly typed at the computer for a few minutes before saying "There, the Sentinels are under our direct control. Now, from this base we should logically have the ability to locate our enemies and eliminate them."

They aren't lying Sayaka.

The bleunette shot Kyubey a confused look as she closed her flip phone and placed it back into her pocket.

The whole situation came straight out of a bad movie. It was ridiculous, yet Kyubey told her that they weren't lying and she could always trust Kyubey. Mami trusted him after all, and she did well until...

Until...

A small headache tore Sayaka away from that train of thought.

"I'll bite." The Blueberry told them as she absentmindedly rubbed the silver ring on her finger. "What do I need to do?"

Installation 00, Desert
Although he already knew exactly where to go thanks to future-vision, Clay let Ulrik take point with him partly because he saw it occurring in the future, and partly because it just seemed easier that way. He readied his sword and opened the doors, and the heroes flooded into the facility. After going through a series of locked doors (which were quickly opened thanks to Sollux's psionic blasts), they came across the first of several rooms filled with enemies. One brief staredown between Clay and a Brute later (which ended when Terezi jumped ahead and bisected a Grunt), and the battle was back in full swing.

Installation 00, Ice Canyon
"I am already on that." Bivtris said, furiously typing away on a nearby terminal. Suddenly, a holographic map of the Ark popped up in the middle of the room. "There- that map has major locations and any ongoing disturbances labeled. Find the heroes while I get the weather and Halo Array controls online."

"You need to agree to help us. But first, let me explain a little further. You are not in your home right now- you are in Aebrenata, a realm that manifests as each viewer's personal heaven. Personally, I think it's rather nice that your heaven is your home. Anyway, the threat to reality I mentioned is my brother, Asteraoth. He has escaped four hundred trillion years of imprisonment, and is hell-bent on destroying every universe and every being save for himself, his followers, and Aebrenata, which he intends to claim as his new home. I need you to help several fellow heroes travel the multiverse, destroying the relics that bestow Asteraoth his power. Once he's been weakened enough, it will be possible to destroy him, saving countless lives. What do you say to that?"

Worry.

Worry was the first thing that surfaced from her mind. It gnawed at her thoughts like thousands of annoying gnats.

If this wasn't her home then where was everyone else? Where was mom? Madoka? Hitomi? Kyosuke?

She could feel her headache grow as she tried to recall what happened yesterday.

Training.

What for?

Sayaka gazed at the floor for a few seconds, mind trashing about as she tried to recall yesterday's events.

A flash of insight.

Walpur-

"I'm in then." She suddenly voiced, tone coated in a thin film of uncertainty that soon disappeared as the headache subsided. "A Ally of Justice protects the people, right?" Steel surged to the forefront of her expression as she looked forwards, eyes flashing with determination.

That's right. She wasn't like that Transfer Student or that redhead orphan.

She was different.

Ulrik flew into action, lighting shooting everywhere while his blade eviscerated enemies that got too close, Brelyna covering his back with fireballs and ward spells. Dave and Dirk jumped in and joined the battle, using their awesome as shit swords to cut the aliens to pieces. Ford began shooting up the new enemies "When this is over, I'm going to need some blood and skin samples from these aliens, as well as a few weapons for research purposes."

Installation 00, Ice Canyon
Shockwave pointed at a part of the Holo-Map "There, near the map room, a large disturbance is going on at that location, logically that must be the heroes." Shockwave went up to the Holo-Map and flipped out a panel on his wrist, a few seconds later he closed the panel and said "I have uploaded the station's map into my database. Now we move."

Michael chuckled. "Want me to store some for you? I can do that." He snapped his fingers and a number of the weapons and the bodies disappeared with a flash. He also dispelled his revolver, replacing it with a P90. He began to fire at the enemies ahead of him, shredding them to pieces.

"Let's try to keep a low profile," suggested Wily. "There is likely more than one of these map rooms on this construct, and if we could find them easy enough, they could find us too."

Installation 00, Desert
The attack by the heroes was overwhelming. Over a period of half an hour of continuous battle, all Covenant forces between the doors and the Cartographer room were completely destroyed. Now, the heroes mulled about the large room, trying to figure out both a plan and how to turn on the map.
"Well, thanks for the suggestion Eridan, but I really doubt that would work. Plus, I don't even know where we'd get that many seahorses," Clay said.
"From the ocean, stupid." Eridan mumbled in response, and he crossed his arms.
"Well, we're still open to ideas. Sollux, how's that map coming?"
"It'd be going a lot fa2ter if you 2topped talking to me and let me fucking type," Sollux replied, not looking away from what he was doing.
"Um, will do."
"I have an idea! Why don't we destroy that?" Aradia said, pointing out the window. Clay and the others looked out, then looked back and forth between Aradia and what she was pointing at to make sure that's what she was pointing at.
"What, the fucking sun?!" Karkat yelled incredulously.
"Yeah! I've been looking at the sky, and it's pretty clear that we're very far from whatever galaxy that is, so we're probably not actually orbiting a real star. The very fact that we can see that galaxy means that. So, it's probably an artificial star. And if it's an artificial star, there's probably controls for it somewhere on the station! We find the controls, overload it, and let it explode, taking the Ark with it."
"Huh. That... that might actually work."
"Map'2 up!"
"Oh, cool."
Clay walked over to the holographic map of the Installation, while Sollux switched on some icons showing where important stuff was. After a little staring, he managed to find where they were, and where the main controls were.
"Ok, so there's good news and bad news. The good news is that the sun is artificial and controlled by the station's computer. Also part of the good news is that the main controls are very clearly labeled here, so we know where that is. Some kind of frozen-over canyon. The bad news is that we're on the very end of one of these arms, and the main controls are at the center of the station- about thirty-two thousand miles away. Anybody know how to teleport a bunch of people? Unless you'd all rather walk for a year."

Installation 00, Ice Canyon
"There will be fuckers to fork soon enough, your majesty," Bivtris said. "Our enemies have found the Cartographer- the map room of this installation. As long as they aren't total morons, they will logically come here to execute whatever plan they have come up with. If we make suitable preparations soon, we can ambush them here, driving them away and defending the Ark. Then, after they have retreated or all been killed, Doctor Wily or Emperor Palpatine can activate the station as per Lord Asteraoth's orders. They are quite a distance away at this point, so we should have plenty of time to lay the trap."

Aebrenata
Zarall smiled. "That she does. Now, my other volunteers are currently on their first mission, destroying an artifact with the power to obliterate all thinking life in the local galaxy, but should be back soon enough. You can stay here and wait, probing me for further information on the subject, or if you'd like I can send you to join them. It's really your call, Sayaka."
