She focused pn the thought for a moment before bringing herself back into studying the girl."Touching your eye while making a toxin probably isn't the best idea", Shinada pointed out."Mind, neither is making medicine and poisons at the same time. "I went blind in this eye a long time ago so I'm safe. Plus. I've built up a decent tolerance for these poisons." She laughed happily as Shinada questioned her medical knowledge. "Normally you'd be completely right. But the medicine I'm making is the antidote for the poison and I need the poison as the base." Rena was happy to have someone to talk poisons with. It wasn't often that she got the chance to do so. "By the way, I'm Yunamaki Rena. Pleasure to meet you."

Konoha was always strange to Tomoko every time she visited. Being only the third time she's visited the village and it still felt weird. Seeing too many trees in one place made Tomoko uneasy, she was way more accustomed to the rocks in Iwagakure. Nevertheless, Tomoko enjoyed Konoha mainly because they have good sake. Tomoko had gained a reputation over the years as someone who enjoys their sake. Despite her constant drinking habits, Tomoko was still a very skilled Jonin and a member of the Explosion Corps. Even more so, her skills at combining Explosion Release and Kenjutsu are unsurpassable.

Tomoko had reached the edge of the Forest of Death, the staging area for the Chunin exams. The Tsuchikage didn't give her a team, mostly because of her drinking habits, but she was sent as extra security. Her job was to make sure the genin are safe during the chunin exams, which she was fully capable of doing. She was wearing her usual Iwagakure flak jacket, headband, and undershirt with one sleeve missing. On her back was her unique katana, which had no edge on it. Added to her uniform, was a sake gourd tied to her waist. She loved to travel with her favorite sake from Iwagakure.

As she walked to the staging area, Tomoko noticed two Konoha shinobi talking. She decided to join in the conversation, seeing nothing else to occupy her time. " How's it going?" Tomoko said before taking a swig from her sake gourd. " Nice day, isn't it?" She continued as she wiped the sake from her lips.

Abandoned Shack

Maris had been working for hours on his puppet armor. After studying the reports about Sasori and learning everything he could about the puppet master, he noted out specific things. At the time only the puppet armor seemed achievable. The only problem Maris saw with the Hiruko model is that it wasn't optimized for close combat. While it had a variety of ranged weapon, those would eventually run out and while the tail was fast, it could be overpowered. Maris designed his puppet armor to cancel out that weakness.

During the attack, Maris had left the village and fled to an abandoned shack on the outskirts that would serve as his workshop and base of operations. Luckily he didn't need to go out to harvest material because he stockpiled a lot, which he stored in a scroll that was stored in his storage puppet. He drew up the design to have an upper half similar to a gorilla for strength, while the lower half was cat-like for agility and speed. He also took a note from Sasori and added in an iron tail based off the same design as Hiruko. Inside the ape-like fist were retractable spike to give a point to its punches. The back of the arms and hands were padded with iron to give a solid defense. Overall the puppet armor was to be seven feet tall and weigh around two hundred and sixty pounds.

As for weapons, Maris had a few ideas in mind. Never having an talent for ninjutsu, he put in a fire release scroll for a flamethrower-type weapon. For some long-ranged attacks he equipped the armor with a missile launcher that could hold up to five missile, just enough to be dangerous to anyone unaware. All of that was on the right hand, in the left Maris put in a rapid senbon launcher, with the sendom being coated in a special posion Maris had created in some of his spare time. The thing about being a puppet master is that all they have to work with is tricks and traps, most of the time those don't deal lethal damage so it's good to have back-up plans. Like in the case the Maris' puppet was overpowered, he added a smokescreen emitter inside the mouth for an easy get away.

After hours of working the armor was complete. Maris managed to cover up the puppet body with a black backless shirt, a trenchcoat, some pants and gloves. To hide the face he put on a mask that went up to its' nose and a black kasa. Those are going to be a pain to replace whenever this thing goes into battle. Maris thought to himself as he entered the puppet armor through the panel on the back. He sealed the hatch and put the trench coat on to cover the back.

"Time to show the world the new me." Maris said through the puppet.

Looking at plenty of the teams, he got the impression that many were taking their team. At the very least, he expected that there would not be too high a possibility of an ambush. The idea was to move quickly and reach the river so as to have definite direction about which way the tower was. He was excited to finally leave the entrance as they entered the forest, finally moving along the very large branches of the trees in the shadowy forest. Without a word, veins around Shinobu's eyes protruded as security to avoid falling into ambushes and try to find a good spot to hunker down to try the questions.
"Halt!" Shinobu shouted in surprise, stopping on one of the many thick branches that the dark forest provided. She pricked skin to her grinning discontent. Soon enough, a ninja hound appeared. The dog was a scent hound with a droopy face, long ears, chocolate brown hair, and baggy skin. The dog wore the traditional blue jacket and a forehead protector as a collar. "I need your eyes and nose. Do you smell something, Tanaka?"
"Commander Uzumaki, I smell a strong scent of centipede. Either there are a ridiculous amount of centipedes in this area, or there is a centipede of unusual size in the area, Commander Uzumaki. Neither suggest anything good." the dog said in a hoarse, low voice. From a distance came a sharp crack. "Chitin. Something around here is able to snap a thick exoskeleton. We need to get moving, preferably in not that direction, Commander Uzumaki," the dog said, pointing reminiscently of setters.
"Thank you. I shall be keeping your services at the ready for the forseeable future. Tell us if you hear running water." Shinobu explained as the dog nodded as Shinobu petted the Ninja Hound's neck.
"Well, now is a good time for a role-call. Who is here beside me and Shinobu?" Haruka said, checking to see if he made a mistake and charged into the forest of death with no-one else.
"Come-on, we haven't even gone half a kilometer. I'm not dead yet," Kaho uttered, making her presence known as she leaned back against the large tree's trunk.

I had followed my cousin's team with my own in tow, never had the Procter stated that separate entrances be used. So that's why I managed to tail my cousin so effectively. Now I was looking at the scroll containing the questions.. including a few of the same questions from the written portion of the exam threee years ago. I called out from a branch above my cousin, "They re-used a few questions from a prior exam, I'm wiling to bet most of these are from previous exams. As for those Centipedes, there are a fair amount of decent sized ones within the forest, however a giant one isn't outside the realm of possibility. Either way don't get bit, the small ones spit acid."

"If you don't have the confidence, then we may as well back off from this exam. One lesson I learned is that if you're not confident enough you will get your ass kicked even before the real thing begins."

Saizou began to pop his shoulders, feeling it became stiff after standing up for a while. "Besides, if it's not you, who will be the Tank in our team?"

Bachi greened widely at Saizou's comment. "Let's go!" The goliath stomped off the ground, leaving a small indention in the soil as he propelled himself into the Forest of Death, immediately giving a large tree a focused punch square in the trunk, bending the trunk at least thirty degrees away from the force of the blow before it eased back into position.

Bachi looked sullen for a moment before he realized the tear one third of the way through the trunk; In a year or perhaps a couple more, this tree would not stand a chance. A wide grin showed on his face as he motioned for the rest of his team to follow, "I want us to pass this exam."

Other teams began to move into the arena, each one disappearing into the darkness between the trees.

A soft, almost silent burrowing sound was heard on the ground of the Forest of Death, as if a mole - or more likely, a pair of moles - burrowing their way out. A soft 'bump' was heard when the 'mole' bumped a tree. "Hey, watch where you're going!", one of the 'moles' whispered furiously. "Sorry bro", the other 'mole' replied with a whisper. "Let's see the surface and check up stuff.", the first 'mole' suggested.

Moments later, two human heads were poking halfway out of the ground, so only from their nose and up is visible. The forehead protector they used showed their allegiance: the Hidden Gold Village. One of the head looked up, seeing a team of ninjas passing right above them by jumping from tree to tree. In surprise, they almost burrowed themselves back to the ground, but when they passed, the continued their observation.

"Okay, stuff's clear.", claimed Head #1 in a whisper. "Now let's go look for a team to defeat.", suggested Head #2, also in a whisper. "Wait,how are going to defeat them? We lost in numbers. Our third member had passed out and was taken to the hospital by Jafar-sensei.", Head #1 asked.

"Brother, why do you doubt our teamwork? With the both of us, we can do anything!", Head #2 claimed furiously - albeit in a whisper.

"Yeah, you're right, brother. Sorry for doubting you."

"No problem. Now let's go!"

And so, they continued to burrow their way, to find a team to fight.

"Hey guys," she said, "always make sure I'm the one who's holding the test. If someone else is holding it, they're fake."

Regardless, she pulled a small scroll from her pocket, unfolded it, and uttered "Release." Calculators, charts, lists of formulae, spare paper, guidebooks, writing utensils, and a secure suitcase all appeared. She activated her byakugan, and proceeded to unlock the metal box, first solving a twenty-character mechanical lock that she did not understand and hence needed the Byakugan to solve, before using a pen to tap on an area of the box missing a screw. "Well, so much for my idea that there are a few exam proctors running about disguised as genin," Shinobu sighed, discontented with the outcome as thunder struck in the distance from an incoming lightningstorm. "Well, do you recognize how to do the others at least?" Shinobu explained as she tried to shrug-off bracing for an explosion that never came, much to her annoyance.
"Now is not the time for that. Get that briefcase going again, for I can hear a large centipede headed this way. It is your move whether you want fight or flight," Tanaka barked, Haruka already on the way back to reseal. The sound of the centipede was not immediately noticeable to the humans over a thunderclap of a approaching thunderstorm.
"Tanaka, you take the lead; ensure that we get away from that centipede and that explosion. Shinobu and Kei, ensure that we do not run into an ambush. Let's fly!" Haruka commanded of the group, hoping to outrun the fight on the basis of the centipede's sheer weight making it slow. The thunder struck again, forcing Haruka's attention. He could not see if there where the stormfront was through the thick mass of leaves and branches. "Well, wherever that is, it ought to be a nice incentive for teams to get moving and find places to hunker-down in case this turns-out to be a thunderstorm," Haruka thought to himself, keeping an ear out not for ambushes but more for the weather.

Konoha was always strange to Tomoko every time she visited. Being only the third time she's visited the village and it still felt weird. Seeing too many trees in one place made Tomoko uneasy, she was way more accustomed to the rocks in Iwagakure. Nevertheless, Tomoko enjoyed Konoha mainly because they have good sake. Tomoko had gained a reputation over the years as someone who enjoys their sake. Despite her constant drinking habits, Tomoko was still a very skilled Jonin and a member of the Explosion Corps. Even more so, her skills at combining Explosion Release and Kenjutsu are unsurpassable.

Tomoko had reached the edge of the Forest of Death, the staging area for the Chunin exams. The Tsuchikage didn't give her a team, mostly because of her drinking habits, but she was sent as extra security. Her job was to make sure the genin are safe during the chunin exams, which she was fully capable of doing. She was wearing her usual Iwagakure flak jacket, headband, and undershirt with one sleeve missing. On her back was her unique katana, which had no edge on it. Added to her uniform, was a sake gourd tied to her waist. She loved to travel with her favorite sake from Iwagakure.

As she walked to the staging area, Tomoko noticed two Konoha shinobi talking. She decided to join in the conversation, seeing nothing else to occupy her time. " How's it going?" Tomoko said before taking a swig from her sake gourd. " Nice day, isn't it?" She continued as she wiped the sake from her lips.

With those words, he disappeared again, reappearing instantaneously on the edge of the Hokage's building, directly facing the Leaf ninja on the other side. The masked man glanced over at Kyuubi, sighing as he did, "The Sealing Chains of the Uzumaki Clan?", asked, with annoyance, before turning back to the group of ninja in front of him, he closed his eyes, "I will deal with you, and then reclaim my Tailed Beast. Now, prepare to see why you can't beat me. I'm on a whole different level."

When this masked man opened his eyes, all suddenly became apparent. He was not a normal Shinobi. They were fighting a god. The invader simply uttered two words, his hands pointed at the Leaf Shinobi in front of him.

He was insulted by the fact that the rouge ninja possessed such eyes that were meant to spread peace. "You..... YOU FUCKER! WHY DO YOU POSSESS THAT EYES?! YOU DARE TO USE THAT VERY EYES THAT ALLOWED YOU TO BE ABLE TO USE NINJUTSU IN THE FIRST PLACE FOR KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE & CAUSE DESTRUCTION?! He instantly reacted, "Wind Release: Multi-Layered Gale~" he said as he performs the seal as fast as he could. After the first was done, he commenced another jutsu & performed more seals. "~ and Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Wall Eighth Formation!" he said as he finished his seals. A barrier made from his Wind jutsu surrounds him, the Hokage & the rest of the shinobis that made it to the Tower. Then, crystals began to surround the rouge ninja, thus trapping him inside the crystal. Yushao could only hope that this could delay that horrifying jutsu before it activated. After he was done, he immediately used his radio. "THIS IS YUSHAO KUROKAMI! TO ALL SHINOBI IN KONOHA, PLEASE EVACUATE THE VILLAGE AS FAST AS YOU CAN! THE PERPETRATOR IS TRYING TO USE A POWERFUL JUTSU THAT WILL WIPE OUT THE VILLAGE! YOU SHOULD KNOW, BECAUSE THIS JUTSU WAS USED BY PAIN OF AKATSUKI BEFORE THE 4TH SHINOBI WORLD WAR!" he said as fast as he could. We need to evacuate you to outside of the village!" he said to the Hokage. "The rest of you, help with the evacuation! Carry the people if you have to!
