Usually, I'd suggest using google translate for a bunch of random words. But maybe you should check for inspiration from other sources, such as little examples (nicknames like the one from rp), Marvel or DC (yes, I do write a lot.)

I would assume that the police force has lost all jurisdiction in Milton. And that any suspects showing any "interesting ability" should be tranquilized and sent off to an unknown facility for probing and testing to if and why the meteorite had changed them.

And that they have our names.

I don't know who the killer should be, but I was thinking maybe something like traces of silver from the blade and other possible tools. And since silver is mainly used for medical purposes (because bacteria and other life forms can't grow on it), we can infer that some samples of DNA (containing her powers) were taken for experimenting. That's just a few random ideas, though. If anyone else wants to say something, go crazy.
