"It seems a fitting punishment, for denying me the pleasure of reaping their souls from a proper battle and instead settling their disputes in this...other realm."

"I can agree to this." Teras said, extending his hand, which now held a deck of Monsters based on Gaeyn's own dominion, "Notice, however, that this is more than a game. It is another weapon for the mortals to use, another tool of war. Also, you now have 42 unique Monster Cards. I'm sure once the mortals learn of these, they'll come seeking for them as well as the Shadow Card. Have we come to an agreement?"

Teras' hand was still extended, a deck of forty-two Monsters based on different aspects of Gaeyn, his spheres of influence, his realm and his race of reapers.

"Oh, by the way," he added, "When I said I gave every race two decks of cards? That included your race."

"I would hope that these...cards do not interfere with their work. I feel as though due to the nature of their never ended task that they will have little time for much else, but I do appreciate the gesture, friend." Gaeyn smiled, taking the Myth Maker's hand and its contents. "Let them come for your card. It saves me the trouble of bringing them back myself."

As Voluptate did not respond, Valerius pondered. "Did she perhaps not hear me?" He hovered closer to her. "My lady, greetings, I have a favor to ask of you." He cleared his throat. "i've created my very own temple, and i'm assembling some of the finest magic users this world currently has to offer, and so, I was thinking that maybe it would be possible for me to loan two or more of your Daerhir, for a while?" Valerius attempted a puppy-eye look, but considering his appearance did not quite succeed.

Nashoba stood there, waiting in the realm of Shiara. However, he soon saw something, something regarding the Ethariel. He had made them multiply at first, so there would be twenty of them now, however some were missing. The original two were intact, thankfully, Aheor and Liharil however some of their children had been taken.
Observing the area, he noticed Pyros, the God of Flame and Valerius, the God of Magic. He searched for Pyros, finding him combining the two elven races. He understood the position of Voluptate and he did the same.
"Children, Ethariel, You are thinking why some of you are missing. You have been used and I say to you this. When the time comes, when your wisdom shall be impenetrable and your fury un changeable, you will grant war upon the race of Pyros, for he stole ypur brothers and sisters, to create another race, essentially corrupting them." The Ethariel heard the God, understanding what he had said.

Then Nashoba traveled to see Valerius, in the realm of Voluptate.
"Lord Valerius, I see you have come to request permission from the Mistress for taking some of her children. I ask thee, why not request mine, as well?"

Yamah was not fully aware of all the affairs of the other gods, as she had been busy elsewhere for quite some time. She had been meditating, not sure how long, perhaps eons, when the Onran came to her and asked her to help them build a temple in her honour. Flattered, and proud over the spirit of greatness within her people, she had gladly accepted. But not only that, together with the Onran she had decided that this castle of worship would be the biggest, greatest, and most magnificent temple of all, and outdo all other churches that had been, was, and would come. A palace truely worthy a godess and her believers.

Day and night they had worked, in shifts, which was necessary since the construction was of the kind that not even a powerful being such as herself had been able to do it by herself. She took the hardest labour of course, she had no desire to break the backs of her own worshippors, because while she was a natural predator, she was not an evil god.

During the breaks she got to know them better, and they her. She decided to take a more active role as their protector, and answer their prayers as well as she could. Many Onrans had questions of the afterlife, and even their own ideas as for what should await in the realm of the dead. Yamah would have to remember to consult Death about those matters. He would ask for a price of course, but if that's what it had to come to, then so be it.

Finally, one day, the temple stood finished. It was a time for celebretion, joy, and feast. Wine, beer, food - and of course the favourite drug, catnip - flowed in abundance. Many children would be fathered this night, and even more of the builders, the priests, and others, would wake up with thunderous headaches the next morning, including Yamah. But it was all worth it.

"Yes, that's why I didn't ask because I knew you wouldn't mind balance, exactly." He hovered back a bit.

Vandrel climbed up into a nearby tree and called to his ibon: "Go to all of the gods and ask for their blessing: As your creator, I can see what you see.
Go, and get the blessings of the gods who have forgotten you" He then jumped down to the ground and headed to the Apex, the center of the continent. It was there that he would build the Aerie, a huge city-temple towering into the sky. It would take a long time, but when finished,It shall be the most glorious structure in the land. He would need to create a few things first. The Aerie would require large quantitys of heavy materials, something he could not carry on his own, even in Large-Form but he did not want his worshippers to suffer, so he decided he would create a bird, an extremeley large one that would be able, in teams to lift large quantitys of materials. he began to craft them out of the simple crow, making them larger and more muscular. Two of them could Easily carry an Ibon. And a large team of them could carry a large stone brick, or a large vat of mortar.

The Mistress turned to face the Lord of Magic and contemplated his offer. Magic would certainly benefit her people--Valerius had already bestowed this gift, but having powerful wizards amongst the Daerdir would increase their chance of winning wars. She nodded.

"Pick any two of our Creations, O Lord, for selection into your Academy. May you treat them well, and return them to us in better condition than which ye found them."

Turning back to Voluptate. "Excellent!" He exclaimed. "Then i'll be taking that one." Pointing his finger at a male Daerhir, opening a portal thay he instantly fell through. "And this one." He said as he did the same with female Daerhir. "I thank you for your cooperation, my lady." Hovering away from Nashoba and Voluptate. "Well, now that i've explained myself." He looked at Nashoba. "And gotten what I came for." He looked at Voluptate. "I bid you all, adieu." Disappearing into a portal while making a theatrical bow.

Once on the other side he woke up all the mortals he had gathered and explained to them, that they were some of the most powerful magic users currently on the planet, and he had brought them to his temple so that they could further develop their talents. After informing one of his sprites to give the mortals a tour of the temple complex, Valerius decided to set up a quick magic test to see whom the strongest magic user amongst the mortals he had brought here was.

Noticing the goddess who had arrived at his temple. "Any help you can give these aspiring magic users to aid their knowledge of magic." He paused. "Would be very appreciated." Seemingly remembering something important, Valerius quickly hovered back into his temple, disappearing out of sight.

Finally waking from his rest, Ba'al rose from the throne and looked around at the area surrounding him. There were various animals and plants, but none to truly worship him in all his glory. Having spent a considerable amount of time blessing the creations of the mortal races by the other divines, Ba'al realized that he was among the few to still have not tried his hand at establishing sentience.

"This shall not do," he whispered, looking at everything at hand. But what to bring to life? This bothered the Lord of Plenty, who had without effort created a multitude of beings without a second thought. But now he was stumped. Stroking his beard, he thought hard about what he would bring to the world now.

Hours passed, yet no idea came up. The Lord of Plenty became frustrated, anger visible on his face. Finally, after a long period of silence, Ba'al spoke

"No idea has come to me, mayhaps I shall postpone the creation for another day." Sitting back down in his throne, Ba'al decided that in order to acquire inspiration, he should build something in the meantime. Many of the Lords have built temples, he thought, a temple would do much to improve the appearance of my sanctuary. Taking inspiration from the temple of Valerius, Ba'al got to work.

Scouring the planet, he collected all the materials he would need for the construction of the temple. By the temple of Valerius, he found a deposit of marble, taking a few slabs he assumed wouldn't be missed. Near the Great Lake, he found sturdy trees which would be used for the skeleton of the temple. Deep inside a mountain, Ba'al found a large deposit of gold, silver, and jade, all of which would decorate the interior. A large granite deposit, located in the far south, did he excavate, its tough stone to be used for the floors. And finally, near the home of Folium, large amounts of clay did he find. With all these materials, he returned to the sanctuary to commence the build.

Using his strength, powers, and sheer size, Ba'al assembled the temple carefully, taking everything into account. He tried to ensure everything was used and that nothing was wasted, meaning previously unplanned segments were added to the design. After a good hour of labour, the structure was completed. But he wasn't satisfied.

"It looks awfully bland," he remarked, observing the temple from afar. Though majestic, the plain stone with precious metals engraved into it looked dead and dull, the exact opposite of what he wanted to emulate in its construction. Thinking yet again, he pondered for a bit on how he would liven the appearance of the temple.

"Plants!," he exclaimed," they would certainly bring life to the cold feeling of this structure." Rising from the throne, Ba'al looked around the forest for the finest specimens to decorate his mighty temple. Gathering together some 50 examples, he returned to the temple and finished up. Standing back from it, Ba'al admired the creation.

"As Lord of Plenty, I christen thee as the first house of worship to my name." Kissing the bottom step, he blessed the building.
"Tenderness and kindness are not signs of weakness and despair, but manifestations of strength and resolutions."

Nashoba inspected the Gods creating temples. Yamah, Valerius, Ba'al. As he approached the Ethariel, who were beginning to make small settlements, Aheor, Liharil and many of their children, approached him. Aheor stood first, accompanied by Liharil and talked.
"Lord of Balance, Creator of Us, Moon and Sun, we wish to create a temple for thee. A grand temple, which would be a combination of two temples, representing balance, the Sun and the Moon, light and darkness and between them, a tower, meant to be blessed from the Sun and the Moon earlier than other places. And, in the center of it all, a statue of you, Lord Nashoba, in both your forms." They were all bowing to him.
"Aheor, First of the Ethariel, I grant thee permission and I will accompany thee on this endeavor." Seeing as the Moon had appeared, he tapped the ground and darkness began to cover the area. The Ethariel, despite losing some of their talented maepges, had more and they began working on this project, a huge temple, accompanied by a greater tower and a grand statue. Nashoba helped, mostly on the tower, and soon half of the temple was finished. They continued the next day and the following day. After some nights and days had passed, and while some of the Ethariel, made bows and settlements, those responsible for the temple exclaimed relief.
For the High Temple of Nashoba, Father of the Ethariel had been finished, accompanied by great works of sculpture inside of it and painting. Nashoba blessed the temple, the statue and the tower and soon, inside of it, regarding whether the moon or the sun was present, there were festivals of music, painting, sculpture, philosophical debates, as they were the place the Ethariel made decisions, and very soon, atories, myths from before. Nashoba always has the sun and the moon touch the tower first before the rest of the land. The High Temple of the Ethariel was, after many days and nights also finished, a place where the dead Ethariel from disease or battle, seeing as they had the gift of immortality after the Daerhir, were sent to the afterworld and burnt.

The cat godess felt tired and hungover, but she still meant to fulfill her promise to her people. So even though the journey made her dizzy, and for a moment even feel a little ill, she still had every intention to present her case to Gaeyn. In order to increase her chances, she decided to take a bleak appearance which she hoped would please the Lord of Death (although at the same time it was a rather honest manifestation of her present mood).

Yamah moved silently as usual, and saw how Gaeyn and Teras made some form of deal between them. While they were occupied with each other, she climbed up a nearby tree as gracefully as she could in her state, preparing for a grand entrance and waiting for the perfect moment. And she waited. And waited. "How bloody long is this going to take?" she tought. "My stomach is in uproar. As if I were to throw up a hairball."

Tired of waiting with nothing else to do but listen to a boring chat about card games, Yamah lost her patience. She jumped down from the bransch where she had been sitting, landed on her feet, and curtsied for the Guide of Souls. "O, Gaeyn-Avalga, Rider of the In-Between, I have come to you with a suggestion, a business proposal if you so wish..." she said respectfully and bowed.

"I ask that every Onran may be able to be reborn nine times before you can ultimately and finally collect their souls. I'm aware that I hardly can expect you to do me such a favour for free out of utter kindness, so name your price. Although I have some suggestions for that too... You see, last night my people blessed me." She snickered. "As far as I know, your wife hasn't been involved in any way with Onran, but that doesn't mean they lack vices. It seems to come naturally for them." She shrugged, and continued in the same serious tone as earlier. "Anyway, you know what powerful beings that come when mortals and gods lay together and mix. Perhaps, when they are born, these halfgods can be of some use for you. With my approval, of course, and only if you do me and a whole race this one favour."

With his work on the Orcs done, L'Koth took off once again. This time, he flew over to an area of wilderness, somewhere near a site where Y'ha scouts and gatherers would come to land. He had grown a bit bored with the creatures of this world. He wanted something... Different. However, he wouldn't let this get in the way of his agenda for power. So, he decided that he'd make at least one of the species he planned be able to serve him, but not be able to question him.

So he began the creation of a new creature. A creature which matched the title of its creator: Unfathomable. He blobbed together a mass of strange organic material. He gave it organs, and a pulse. It was alive. However, it was useless. He gave it a pair of frontal legs, while the back end was simply on the ground. He gave it a mouth and sensory organs, so it could survive on its own. He also gave it several strong, tentacle-like appendages on its back, both for serving L'Koth and defending itself. He then gave it a certain level of intelligence- It could "understand" his language, and therefore his orders. It could even replicate speech, but its ability to do so was very limited. They could not organize among themselves and/or build societies; However, they could reproduce. He observed his new creation. He decided to call it: "Za-Roth". He created a few copies, then scattered them about the area.

He then travelled away, to a dark forest. There, he decided to create another creature, however, it would be very different. He created a humanoid body to start with. He made its skin completely black and rubbery. He gave it wings similar to his own, and a barbed tail. He made the area where its face would be blank, and made it hard and bony. He then gave it two inward-pointing horns on its head. He made a hole on its neck that would act as a mouth, through which it could eat. It did not have any eyes, but he gave it the ability to sense its surroundings and make sense of them regardless of the lack of eyes. He gave it claws on its hands and feet, and its feet were able to grab things. He stretched its arms out, so it would have a longer reach, and perch stably. He made it muscular, yet skinny, particularly thin around the waist. He then gave it a certain level of intelligence overall lower than that of the Za-Roth, but more focused in its hunting ability. He gave it the intelligence to stalk prey, to measure risk and reward, and even set very simple traps, as well as coordinate its flight to snatch unsuspecting prey, or fully aware and fleeing prey for that matter. He regarded his new creation with a bit of pride. This was surely the most efficient hunter to walk the planet. At least, the most effective mortal hunter. They would be relatively few in number, but nevertheless successful creatures.

He decided not to name his second creation, as he was interested to see what others would call them. He was especially interested in the myths and legends mortal cultures would surely make about the creatures.

As L'Koth finished gifting the Orokarags, Pyros went to work himself. The Fire God began to shape the landscape near Vulcanis to become more habitable and defensible, using his lava, which cooled quickly to form rock, to create large monoliths which would inspire fear in those attacking the Orcs. As he work came to a close, he woke the two Orokarags from their slumber deep in the volcano's pit and placed them among the grass near Vulcanis.

He appeared to his children as a phoenix, beaming with light and descended before them.

"Hello, my children. I am Pyros, God of Fire. I am your father and creator, and as such, I require you to worship me as your primary god. There also exists another that aided me in your creation, L'Koth, the God of Vengeance and Rage. He will need to be worshiped in years to come with a temple to construct in the future, but for now, I require that you survive. I do not wish to watch over you so directly and I expect you to look after yourselves. I have gifted you all you will need to live in this land."

"I have one request: Every year on a child's birth, you must bathe the child in flames. Every year this must be done. This is so that you may grow a resistance to the flames beyond that which I can gift you and perhaps some among you may be able to wade in the warm depths of Vucanis, the most holy of shrine to Pyros, Spirit of the Flames."

With that, he burned away, leaving ash in his wake and leaving to the realm of the gods to sleep, having used much of his energy recently.

But the two Orcs were wide awake and ready to thrive. They began to build huts, hunt, and multiply, but as they reproduced through the years, mutations began to develop from inbreeding. A few children began to have strange, pointy ears or perhaps their skin would begin to be red-brown. Some would be born with one eye or even three. The Orcs continued their descent into becoming the pariah of the races.

For a moment, Erdan was so lost in his ideas that he did not even notice the start of the feud between elves and orcs and their creator gods. He spent a countless amount of time experimenting in the glade where his shrine sat upon, trying to find the best form to comfort the new lifeform. He shaped and reshaped skin, flesh and bones, trying to experiment new features, but finally, he decided he would stick to a more basic humanoid form, looking much like the form he adopted himself. Instead, he planned for this race to greatly vary according to their environment.

Actually, he decided this would be one of the greatest gifts given to this race: they should be malleable, especially for his intentions. They would be his targets for testing new ideas of social organization and comparing the results. The other gods' creations, since now, had all of their mentalities set similarly, and always leaning towards their creator's domain. For this reason, he could not use them, because this gave them a set objective: favouring their creator's domain. If their objective was always the same, how would they organize in many different forms like he wished them to? To this race, however, he would grant greater freedom of thought. They would be able to choose. It would be a race of innovators and pioneers.

What better way was there to make sure they would be a malleable race than to grant them a blessing from every single deity, making sure they would touch every domain? Exactly, none. He would be the first, gifting the race with the ability to bond with one another, forming families and societies of all sizes and degrees of complexity, and to make almost any place in the world their home, adapting to it but also shaping it towards their needs, building their own houses. Next, Erdan sent forth a message to the mind of the others: "I have aided you with your own particular creations, and now I ask that you repay the favour. It shall not be much of a concession to me, however, as I propose that this race I have created may be influenced by any god or goddess. All of you, grant it access to your sphere of power in an equal amount to the others, so that they may be apt to worship any of us equally. There shall be enough individuals for all of us." Thus he stood beside the first pair of the race that he would later call humans, waiting for the others to come.

So even though the journey made her dizzy, and for a moment even feel a little ill, she still had every intention to present her case to Gaeyn.

Gaeyn was intrigued with the cat goddess' proposal, and first her appearance. From what he understood she was typically bubbly and more friendly, and the way she presented herself didn't appear to match up quite right with her personality. Still, it was a pleasant surprise. "Nine lives is a very, very long delay in my acquisition of their souls, my dear. What keeps the world in balance more than death? Yet you request that your felines be given so long to live...and I in exchange receive but the right to champion these half gods. I'm afraid I must ask for...more, if you have anything more to give." he smiled - he did love negotiations, and when they involved the dead, he was more than willing to bargain all day.

Nashoba was observing the Ethariel advance, build settlements and villages and progress, when the Lord of Society, Erdan contact everyone. Seeing as this could turn out to be a very interesting project he approached Erdan, leaving the Ethariel for the time being.
"Lord Erdan, you have blessed the Ethariel, children of mine. I shall bless the race you cite."
He stood before the people, touching them and tapping his staff in the ground. Light and darkness flood the atmosphere, while his eyes emitted different colors.
"Balance shall exist in your race, as well as morality which shall define most your actions .Good and evil shall coexist in you, some favoring more one or the other. Some will be just while others not. You shall be able to exist both under light and darkness, under the moon and the sun."
Nashoba removed his hands and tapped the staff once more.
"This is what I shall give. Morality and balance. I believe those attributes are going to be valued, Lord Erdan."

Yamah smiled. She had had time to think up several alternatives, and she was sure at least one of them could do the trick. "Balance would still be upheld, because since the Onran would live over and over again, an endless stream of new souls can not come. The Onran won't be able to father as many children as their wild animal cousins, but that is a prize they are aware of and ready to pay. One to three children per life ought to be enough, but the exact details is something we can agree on later... besides, I believe the second part of what I have to say might really interest you..."

She smiled and graced around Gaeyn, twirled and swirled around him with excitement in her wild feline eyes. "All felines are very strict about their territory, and so are all civilizations. As if that combination wasn't enough, then imagine a war... a bloody, savage war... where the soldiers can rise up after their deaths to keep slaughtering their foes! If you give my people life, they will in return grant you more death than you can imagine! This isn't a sacrifice I crave of you, it's a gift I deliver." She wrapped her arms around him and whispered seductively in his ear.

"The Onran are natural killers... why waste that with a single life, when they can bring you countless souls?"

After L'Koth had created two nightmare creatures, he heard the call of Erdan. Leaving his new creatures, which some may call 'monsters' (which he knew was another god's domain, but that wouldn't keep him from making creatures that would probably earn the title of 'monster'), he was almost excited to see what would come of all these creations across the world.

He strode toward Erdan, his footsteps echoing throughout the environment. After a moment, he reached Erdan. L'Koth observed the new beings with interest. "This is a very interesting project, Erdan." he said, looking at the humans. "With the blessing of all the gods, and their own natural diversity, it will be most interesting to see what comes of this race. I will give them my own blessing, while I am here."

With that, L'Koth held his hand out with his palm facing the humans. A greenish beam of energy projected forth, manifesting itself within the humans. "They shall now have the will to strike down those who wrong them." L'Koth said.

They will contain water, and they will need water to sustain their life. The oceans will call to them, and they will want to explore them, sail upon them, and yet they will not be able to survive underwater. If they stay too long under, they will drown. Not to mention my creatures, which could kill or injure them at any time. My domain will be like a siren, calling them irresistibly, and then... destroying them."

Seemingly appearing out of nowhere next to the creatures Erdan was creating. "These creatures you are making certainly have a lot of possible entertainment value." Pondering for a moment. "Very well, I shall grant these beings my gift, however, as all my gifts come with a twist so to shall this one, while they shall have the most powerful magic users of all the creatures I have blessed, they shall also have the fewest." Valerius then closed his hand and it began glowing blue, after opening it again, it was revealed that he had created a small blue orb, he then threw the orb in the direction of the creature where it was absorbed into it's skin. "It is done." He said with a smile. "I do wonder how these creatures shall amuse me." Now looking at Erdan. "I do hope you don't mind if a take a few of them to my temple after they've multiplied for a while?" He asked Erdan with an expectant look while hovering horizontally as if laying down in the air.
