I would like to mention that the Scholae Palatinae are an elite military unit of the Empire I forgot to add in my app. They aren't the guards of the Emperor anymore, and instead they protect Roman and foreign officials.
I'm a Romanian, a vampire, an anime enthusiast and a roleplayer.
Hello there! I am Tracian Empire! You can call me Tracian, Thrace, Thracian, Thracr, Thracc or whatever you want. Really.

Eurasian Hegemony wrote:Full Nation Name :Union of the Holy Papal States and The Kingdom of Christendom.
Majority/Official Culture : Unspecified but most Governing is Italian even though the only distinction the government makes is between Christian and non Christian
Territorial Core : Italy, Switzerland, Malta, Western Crete, Christen East Africa (Divided into Ethiopia, Aksum, Allodai, and Soma)
Territorial Claim : Egypt, Sudan, Israel, North African coast, Sicily
Capital City : Two capitals, The side of the Papal states is Rome, and the capital of Christendom is Valletta in Malta
Population :36.5 million

Government Type : Dual Theocratic Monarchy
Government Ideology/Policies : Expansionist
Government Focus : Technically one of the oldest nations in Europe, At least in a national spirit sense, It has vast culture and expansive trade networks but its real strength is its military arm the backbone of which are the Templar Knights
Head of State : Blessed Pope Pius IX
Head of Government : King Giuseppe Angeoli VIII
Government Description :While technically the papal states and the Kingdom of Christendom, Rome has lost power long ago and the Catholic church itself is now no more then a part of the Kingdom.

Majority/State Religion : Roman Catholic
Religious Description : The Roman Catholic Religion has evolved to be mostly centered around conversion, and returning the world to the Coptic idea of All the known world having a Christian church

Economic Ideologies : While there is little restriction on who you trade with the Kingdom controls all facets of the economy
Major Production :Wine, Food, Textiles, Machined parts, metal
Economic Description : Strong but held back due to the Kingdom's restrictions on trade, The Kingdom attempts to protect it's economy but in doing so it holds it back from risking anything therefore only small gains are made at a time.

Army Strength :Very well organized and centuries of tradition giving plenty of morale, experts at adapting, some have been warriors in training since they were born
Army Weakness :Relatively poorly armed, extreme focus on infantry leading to weakened cavalry and artillery, some are poorly if not almost untrained
Naval Strength :Extremely Durable "can take the beaten but keep from sinkin"
Naval Weakness :slow and poorly armed at mid range
Further Military Description :
Organization:
Army=10,000=two Brigades
Brigade=5,000 man=five Legions
Legion=1,000 men=two Regiments
Regiment=500 men=five companies

Section=10 men

Rank System:Lowest to Highest
Recruit, Private, Corporal, Sargent, Section Sargent, Staff Sargent, Sargent Major, Lieutenant, Captain, Errant, Knight, Major, Colonel, Lord Commander, Knight Commander, General, King of Christendom

A very unique Military combining old ways with new, With knights no longer men in shining armor, they have a new purpose and new technology. Knights have lost their old ways and become almost solely a military rank and now act as high ranking front line officers. They continue to pledge fealty directly to either a lord commander or the King. The military is very well organized and large enough in number, However their weapons are slowly becoming outdated.

National Goals :Build a Christian Paradise by converting the muslims and reclaiming the Whole of the Holy land
National Issues : The Kingdom need to realize the times abit better or be left behind
National Figures of Interest : [[OPTIONAL]] [[Are there any Mother Teresas or Moses that we need to know about?]] well aside from moses and mother Mary there is the Pope and King Adolfo Angelio I and King Giuseppe Angelio I
National Ambition/Aspirations : become a world power and revolutionize culture

Could you expand on the monarchy part in your history then? The length of your history makes it difficult for me to tell the point of divergence. As long as you do that, nothing else for me to fuss over. I'll approve of your app as soon as your history is expanded at that part.

The attrition from the travel to the Pacific would be abysmal... Now, Chinese treasure ship, assuming you have them, should be able to cross that if you can load them up with supplies. But... why bother? It isn't like you can hold onto Brazilian provinces anyways. It will be too far away for you to govern, much less defend properly.

Bit different since Alexander was able to bring one of the more powerful empires at the time to it's knees. That being said the only reason they didn't make it farther into India than they did is the fact they died.

Errr... same way that Napoleon got his empire destroyed because of Russian winter, and same reason that Hitler massacred the Jews and that costed him the war.

There are more cases where recklessness destroys empires than keeping them. Alexander the Great is not "the Great" without a reason.

I will probably have some troops cross the Danube soon.

Anyway, I was thinking that maybe one of the first things in my colonization attempt would be a naval battle, in which I would use some Greek fire. I will try to do it, but since I don't have much experience in RPing a naval battle, any help would be appreciated. :)
