Artimus shook his head. "Looks like you're the real deal, Zafkiel. Janson, long story short- He's a God. And I've got another God with me, as well as a Vampire. I am NOT doing the paperwork for this."

"Oh my god" Janson said, as stupid as the term was. "Make sure to keep things under contol, let me know if you need help."

"Don't worry guys, I'll speak with the boss.", said Zafkiel, who heard the entire conversation."There is no need for any paperwork."
At least, finally, the recognized him as someone from the Division. He was on a vacation, yes, but had so much time passed? He wasn't exactly sure if he left a few weeks or a few years ago. Strange.
"Then, shall we go to the HQ? I would like to stop at a store on our way there. They really have no alcoholic drinks in Syria."

"I think I might be beginning to like this guy, Janson. He just said we wouldn't need paperwork. Zafkiel, if you want, I can show you where Janson hides his beer at HQ." Artimus chuckled. He frowned again. "Er... Is that no paperwork for the Dragon and the Vamp, too?"

With that Merlin looked to Loki, "Listen here Loki. I know about Division Six, that is true, but I don't work for them. Never have, and I don't see myself working for them in the future. So, whom ever told you that little bit of information, is wrong. If you want to get involved with them, go to their HQ. Not here." Merlin was not very happy, "So if that's all, how about you remove yourself from my home, before I let the demon have some fun."

Please... Yes, please... let me at him. Void said in glee, Only if he doesn't remove himself peacefully, Merlin said back. But... But..., No buts., Hah, made you say buts Void said. You are such a child.

"Ah-ah-ah I would hide those missy, no telling if some feather brains will show up." he place the glass on the counter "Oh crap, well should have told you that earlier. Because..." Just then there was a knock on the door. Immediately Loki crouched down with just his eyes above the counter. "I was never here." Again the knock was repeated. "You should probably answer that. If I were you I not make any sudden movements." Again peeking above the counter.

"What makes you think I can hide them? They're wings, Loki, wings! They're not that easy to hide!" Then she stared at the door. "Who's out there? Loki, what have you done?"

Putting the cigarette out on the floor John walked into Merlin's penthouse. Slowly walking up into the kitchen finding the girl and no one else. "There no one in here besides her." Nephilim I know that. "He must have left when you weren't looking. You there, did you see where he went." He knelt down staring at her, "Did he jumped out the window, did he shapeshift? Teleported." John... Right.. As he stood up giving the girl some space. "Well?"

Footsteps, coming towards her. Go past me. Don't find me. But of course, they paused in front of her, and when she opened her eyes, there was an unfamiliar man staring at her. She screamed and instinctively lashed out before pushing past him and backing against the wall, bracing herself. I'm going to die, aren't I? Of course you're going to die. What did I tell you? You're so helpful.

Mer. Let me take a closer look at this guy, Void asked in a strange tone, Very well, Merlin replied. With that one of Merlin's eyes changed from blue to purple. The eye turned back to it's normal colour, Mer, let's be careful here, he looks to be possessed, By what? An angel, rouge I would assume. It looks like he is in the same situation we where in a while back. They still aren't one being fully. Void said. Ok, we have to be careful. If that angel see's you, we are both in for a fight.

It was then that Merlin watched Charlotte lash out on the man from Division Six. With in a heart beat, Merlin was standing between the two. "Charlotte, calm down, I do not believe this man wants to hurt you." Then Merlin looked to the man, "It appears as if Loki seemed to have fled. Feel free to look around, but I believe you won't find him here."

Archangel

Oh, shut up! The last syllable echoed in Charlotte's ear as everything seemed to slow. An oppressive and heavy feeling lay upon the room and all within it. Time had thickened. The Division Six operative seemed to have frozen in a tableau of impatient arrogance. Merlin stood between him and Charlotte, concern writ large on his ageless features. The Void could perceive something amiss, but little else. The others in the room would notice a ringing in their minds afterward, like a sudden tinnitus. Only Charlotte could see and hear.

And smell: a sharp scent of ozone seasoned the air and thin tendrils of blue-white lightning arced in silent, eye-tearing jags. Charlotte's view faded into the narrow focus of a dream, her entire periphery a dark and sleepy grey. Her mind could not contain the new presence - she could only grasp a light, radiant and warm, and one ocean-blue eye set in the palest of features.

Image

A voice spoke her name. Soft as a secret but with immeasurable depth and magnitude, this voice knew her intimately, caressed her soul: every word she had ever uttered, every thought in her mind and feeling in her heart, her past and lineage, her entire unwritten future - her every molecule - was known and profoundly understood.

Charlotte. You are loved. And you have a purpose.

The eye blossomed into blinding light, then faded. After an imperceptibly brief span of time, everything resumed.

The operative quirked an eyebrow and Merlin squinted in discernment. Charlotte released a breath she didn't know she was holding, her mind numb and her heart hammering in contrast. She didn't yet know it, but her wings had become lost to all perception. They were still there, she could feel them the way one could feel any appendage - but they could no longer be seen or felt or heard.

Hannah was a curious one, and one day, that might just kill her. She couldn't help it though--the boy was so mysterious! It excited her!

Saber hesitated for a moment, before deciding to follow her. It would the best way to get what he was looking for, anyway. Saber put the map back into his pocket - he wouldn't need it anymore, or at least he hoped so.

Hannah walked with a little bounce in her step, her pink hair swaying to her step. She walked with purpose, but was obviously enjoying the walk. She'd love to become Wolfie and run, though; it would've been a much quicker trip. She didn't care to look if the boy was following her, as she assumed he was since he'd asked for directions. After a bit of walking silently, Hannah asked "So, what's your name?" casting a glance back in his direction.

She'd love to become Wolfie and run, though; it would've been a much quicker trip. She didn't care to look if the boy was following her, as she assumed he was since he'd asked for directions. After a bit of walking silently, Hannah asked "So, what's your name?" casting a glance back in his direction.

"My name is Saber - it's a weird name, I know." Saber replied, continuing to follow her. Could he really trust her? Even if he doubted she was an enemy, she seemed a little too...energetic, for someone who was just showing him the directions to the place he was looking for. Nevertheless, he remained a calm, straight face, as to not betray what he was thinking.

"Nonsense! One of the coolest names I've ever heard." Hannah said with a smile, sticking her petite hands into her jacket pockets. "My names Hannah, by the way." As they continued to walk, the trees got a little more sparse, but that was only noticeable if you'd been around the forest a lot. Hannah, however, came to a halt as the sound of voices drifted to her ears. "Someone's here." She said rather quietly. She backed up behind a thick tree to be out of view from whomever was coming closer. It must've been rather odd for Saber to see her doing such a thing, to be so alert all of the sudden.
Like she was hiding something that she'd rather not share.

Hearing the sound of voices, Saber frowned. He looked at Hannah a bit weirdly, but said nothing, and soon followed in her suit, crouching behind a nearby tree and some particularly thick brush, which would be able to conceal him from view, but allow him to see the person - or people. The voices got louder, and it wouldn't be long before they passed them. Tensing up, he got ready to transform, should push come to shove and the people passing by became hostile, for whatever reason.

Samuel Ashworth
Somewhere within New York City

Samuel had ignored the odd man's phone call due to the fact that he viewed it as impolite and that he hardly heard the voice on the other end of the call. So in an attempt to kill time the vampire thought to himself. It seems that one idiotic act followed another this day. Not only did I almost get myself killed by god but I also said I would enter the base of a faction that I only heard rumors about. I should keep my guard up. Since any act of idiocy when I am in their base will likely be the death of me. When the vampire's thought ended he decided to examine his surroundings. Yet in truth the area that surrounded him seemed of no real significance. Then when Samuel heard what sounded like the man closing his phone the vampire turned his head towards the odd man and listened to his question. Once the man finished talking the vampire answered with his usual arrogant grin across his face. "She was a Nephilim named Charlotte and the man with her claimed to be Merlin himself. Yes, I mean from the legends and not just a simple name given to him from some who enjoyed of it. But in truth I do not know if anyone else shall show themselves..yet in all honesty I highly suggest that we depart before they do. Since they may be hostile and that is a chance I rather not take." Samuel then awaited the man's response as he looked at the beings along with him warily. Since the vampire was still not thoroughly convinced that they would not attempt to kill him like many before them already had.

Home...strange how that could mean so many things to different people. For some it was the place they settled down with a family, others it was merely wherever they laid their head at night, but for Jonathan...home wasn't a place but rather a state of mind. For instance, he may have been in his rather expensive and luxurious penthouse right now sipping on a whisky on the rocks while looking out to his rooftop pool and the city beyond it, but that did not mean he was home...no rather home for him was on the hunt. The feeling he got when he looked down the scope at a contract target, the feeling he got when he finished a target off with two to the head, it was a feeling of purpose...of belonging. And for Jonathan Bain the only way to live was to have purpose, and the only way to have purpose was to do what he had been trained to do since his birth...kill those he is hired to kill.

At the moment though there was no contract for him to complete, no hunt for him to partake in, life had lost purpose and now Jonathan waited for the call that would bring back his purpose. Just as he finished his whiskey the house phone went off...the one only those looking to hire him used.

Picking up the receiver and seeing that the number was blocked Jonathan answered the phone and stated in his monotone yet formal voice "Bain speaking."

"I have a...unique job that requires your assistance Mr. Bain. You see, a Nephilim by the name of Charlotte Noble is being hunted by one of your rivals...I want you to protect her." The voice on the other end was clearly synthetically altered though it sounded male.

"Sir, I am not in the protection business-" Jonathan moved to explain before the person on the other line interjected.

"Mr. Bain, who better to protect a woman from an assassin than by someone with the mind of an assassin. Know this, the man trying to kill her is on a one month time frame, all I need of you at most is a month of your time...likely less depending when he strikes. All you have to do is keep her alive and kill the assassin after him. If you accept this contract then 15 Million US Dollars are yours...I can wire the funds into your account this very minute." The synthesized voice stated.

"Who's the target?" Jonathan asked after a few seconds of thought, finding this to be an acceptable contract.

"Your father...will that be an issue Mr. Bain?" The Employer asked in reply.

"No, wire the funds and tell me where I can find Miss Noble." Came Jonathan's easy response.

"An encrypted email has been sent to you, and the funds are being wired now...good luck Mr. Bain." And with that the Employer hung up.

Placing the receiver back in the home phone system Jonathan said nothing as he stood up and got ready for his new assignment. He knew that just like all the others he would not stop until he had got his target.

Hunter looked at the man and shrugged at the mention of paperwork, he didn't know what it meant nor did he intend to find out. If it has the word paper and work, it can't be anything pleasant, especially if the man is complaining about it. When the vampire spoke up Hunter gave an approving nod. "I agree with this vampire, no matter how much I dislike them. We should get a move on. Now shall we?" Hunter was really getting impatient, being constrained in a human form was tiring and not to say the least depreciating of a dragon. Hunter looked at the vampire again and thought he should at least ask him some questions while he waited to leave.

"So vampire, I missed your name earlier. What might it be? Also how old are you? And lastly, are you part of the seven houses?"

Samuel Ashworth
Somewhere within New York City

Samuel was surprised when the odd being who claimed to be a god spoke up. Then once the being finished the vampire responded with his usual arrogant grin. "Well I am certainly not called simply the vampire if you were curious. I am also pleased that you agree with me..yet your senseless disapproval of my species as a whole is not my concern. Yet I find the fact that you said such a thing in my presence rather rude." The vampire's eyes widened for a moment before he responded. "Oh, I forgot to answer your question. How rude of me. Well my name is Samuel Ashworth and I am two-hundred and sixty-five years old. Yes I have been keeping track..I have had quite a bit of spare time lately and I found that keeping track of my birthday to be a rather interesting pass time. Now before I forget I am not a member of any of the seven houses. So do you have any more questions that you wish to ask?" The vampire then patiently awaited the being's response as he still kept on some level of alert while also patiently awaiting for the time that they would finally start moving. Since an alleyway tends to be rather dull when it comes to sight seeing.
