Until then I recommend characters become acclimatized to their powers, start working together to make something to eat, all that good stuff.

I'm gonna guess..... they have to do with what you can create. I've stayed F/C, and not created anything. Jarn, however, created two different things and his letters changed twice

Physical Description:

Pale of skin and long of limbs, with spidery fingers and eyes as dark as the night sky, Radu makes for a most peculiar sight. Clearly underweight beneath his plain clothing, he is of average height by human standards. His dark hair seems perpetually disheveled, and he has dark bags under his eyes.

Personality: Dullness and ignorance are Radu's foremost fears, the twin cores from which the deep, broad construct of his mind has grown over the years. He is a curious and creative person, eager to see all that his eyes can perceive and produce awe-inspiring sights that will keep the monotony of existence at bay. Somewhere, in a not too distant corner, there is also a fear of restraints, mostly of the abstract sort. He has a need to bend and break all rules, and to see and play with what awaits beyond them. To him, the Power is a tool to conjure up a gorgeously chaotic and dynamic new existence, one that can build and rule itself, devoid of the forceful imposition of divine will upon it.

Radu seems to possess both an artist's spirit, as his obsession with memorising singular moments of beauty suggests. He believes such moments would otherwise be gone forever, forgotten by the Universe at large. This attitude of his extends towards living creatures, but is specially reserved for the vastness of the Cosmos. Towards other people, he is often distant, far too preoccupied with staring at the Universe, listening to its symphony, and thinking of ways to make the stars even more astounding a sight. He often spends his time meditating in the darkness, the constellations reflected in his eyes. At times, he thinks he can hear whispers coming from the endless void, spoken in a tongue he cannot comprehend.

It explains why there were only four starting pairs - I 'think' both letters in each pair describe corresponding elements, hence why people were only ever F/C, for example, instead of anything else/C or F/anything else, and the correspondence is from a popular archaic theory of sorts.
