He'd have to fake his death and go completely off all surveillance systems afterwards to stop Control hunting him, since until Control has verified DNA proof someone's dead, they're presumed alive. Well, do that or commandeer Control from the mainframe interface.

Soul-sensitivity. He can sense the presence of anything with a soul that is nearby. This ability can be countered or negated by an individual highly trained in the Shinobi arts, as they can extinguish their existence.

Equipment:
Senbonchishisakura - Thousand deadly cherry-blossoms - a blade that manifests as a thousand cherry-blossoms. Each acting like a plasma torch, cutting through nearly anything.

Power Origin:
A genetic and spiritual trait of his clan. Sharpened through training and dependant on his emotional state. His immortality was given to him by Bishamonten.

Weaknesses:
Shojiro is only able to activate his Senbonchishisakura's Blossom Form (when it manifests as the cherry-blossoms) for 1 minute before becoming completely exhausted. Beyond that he is entirely human.

Personality:
Shojiro is a kind person. He is very caring of those he has let into his heart, though those are few and far inbetween. He absolutely dispises war, and intends to create a world without it, no matter the methods he needs to use, nor what he has to sacrifice to do it. In order to achieve this he has shut most everyone out. He has become cold and calculating, shunning all emotion and morality that would stand in his way. He does not mind resorting to abhorrent methods and villainous ways in order to reach his goal. To him, the ends justify the means.

Background: Shojiro was raised in the village of Sannai. He was part of the Chishi Sakura clan - the Fatal Cherry-Blossoms. He was born in the midst of the Sengoku Jidai. As such he watched most of his family and friends die in the wars. He came to hate it, and on his seventeenth birthday was blesse by Bishamonten with immortality (not the kind that means you can't die, just the kind that means you don't age). He has since spent his years working to overthrow the current system in the world. He has committed every crime imaginable in his quest to end war. He was the behind the scenes orchestrator of both the First and Second World Wars.

Maybe Iroquois shot the hero, then released a ton of prisoners from prison or something as a distraction.
