Carnibas News Central
Headlines and short Excerpts

  • Nox Castor vel-Carnibas chosen as new Corporate Viceroyalty Officer of Carnibas
    • Nox Castor vel-Carnibas of Carnival Financial has been chosen as the presiding official of Carnibas Foundation. Nox hails from corporate line of prestigious vel-Carnibas Family who is well known as being the founder of Carnival Financial, the largest Corporate Investment Bank in Carnibas. The new CVO promised to restore the relationship with Goryeo Empire as well as other economic powerhouses to promote global trade and enhance multilateral and regional trade.
  • Kerables Produce again spared from world-spread corruption in the agriculture sector
    • With so much of our food producers again and again found with corruption and sanitation issues, Kerables Produce again were found to be highest ranked in sanitary multinational producer in the world. Studies by grassroot organization “Food Saviors” published their report measuring foodstuff providers of large multinational corporations in the areas of food sanitation, treatment of animals and labor, respecting subsidiary providers, and general corruption. In this report, Food Saviors found that Kerables Produce had the highest numbers in all areas, whereas the Western Multinational Corporations were found to have some of the most atrocious conditions in all aspects. Kerables responded that the well-being of children in Korea and Carnibas was their primary concern, and that all parents with concerns should always visit its corporate website to see that the premiums in Kerables products does not go to corporate margin, but to make a better, safer goods for everyone.
  • South African border reopened after 10-day blockade by Foundation Navy
    • After 10 days of blockade, South Africa has signed the treaty to open the trade to Foundation. The African region was long accusing the Foundation for siphoning the natural resources from the area using corporate influence. The final straw was drawn when a Rhombiom-owned mine collapsed last month causing over 200 deaths. As soon as the miners were rescued with collective Foundation efforts, South Africa seized all corporate assets from the Rhombiom Corporation. What followed was Foundation-led naval blockade, reducing the country into starvation for 10 days. With international pressure to life the blockade, the Foundation had decided to lift the blockade should the South African authorities return corporate assets from the Rhombiom Corporation and meet to discuss the allegations in an open discussion. South Africa agreed to the terms later today, and the blockade was immediately lifted. Taking responsibility for this action, the Rhombiom Corporation is spearheading the relief efforts alongside the Foundation.

Office of Viceroyalty
Carnibas, Singapore Island

Carnibas corporate officials did not wear traditional “suit and ties” that western corporations preferred. Despite the complaints by the employees that the sleeves sometimes got in the way of officework, members of the Foundation were “encouraged” to keep the dress code to [look oriental]. The tradition goes back to the days when envious merchants left Goryeo proper for this speck of island in Indochina in the first place, and the desire to look noble while counting gold has never dulled for the “aristocrats” in Carnibas.

Nox was one such man whose pride in his noble profession of businessman exceeded that of his desire to make profit at all costs. Perhaps that was their method of success: in an effort to put noblesse olidge into business, the brand image of all Foundation members made their businesses afford to take premiums for their services while maintaining growing consumption rate. This method of trust was something that capitalists in Foundation exploited: determined to create transparency and be opened to all processes, the Foundation gave image of “noble Asian firms” to the consumers in the orient, who preferred Foundation goods over others.

The new CVO peered down from his marble office, through the thick blinds to the busy population below. Nox still could not fathom the new responsibility, and he still believed that he was too young to take on the office which oversaw nearly hundred million employees. However, here Nox was, somewhat against his will, to rule governance as old as capitalism itself. And now in the crucial turn of the century, the Foundation was in need to accumulate political power to give the final push towards complete liberalization and globalization of world economy for the greater profit of the capitalist markets.

For this end, Nox already had his Act 1 prepared: old ties between the merchants and their crown must be reestablished. For too long have the Foundation and its imperial authorities in Goryeo left each other in benign neglect. In order for liberalization of the market to continue unhindered, the Foundation needed legitimacy to participate fully and completely in the global negotiation table. For that, Goryeo’s acceptance was vital.

Nox sat down on his desk and flicked on the screen embedded into his desk. The table responded to his touch and opened up to a video conference between the Executive Board members of every member company in the Foundation. The daily concession was ready to begin, and the massive conglomeration of some of the most powerful and influential capitalists in the globe awaited Nox’s fiscal decisions. Nox steeled himself as he switched the camera on, and faced upfront towards the frontal camera and the screen showing every Boards of Directors. He smiled brightly and innocently as possible before beginning, allowing the political mask of his to cover the anxiety within him.

Political Message

TO. Imperial Authority of Goryeo Empire
FROM. Office of Viceroyalty, Carnibas Foundation
SUBJECT. Greetings and Meeting Schedules

To Most Esteemed Imperial Authorities of Goryeo Empire,

The Carnibas Foundation would like to inform you that the selection process of choosing our next Corporate Viceroyalty Officer has been completed, and that CVO Nox Castor vel-Carnibas has been nominated to rule over the Viceroyalty of Carnibas Island and all her claims as legitimized by the grace of Her Imperial Highness, the most Gracious Empress Seok I of the Empire of High Goryeo.

Understanding that there exists a ceremonial visit of respect and allegiance from the High Merchant of ChukJae-Do to Her Imperial Highness, the CVO vel-Carnibas wishes to request that such tradition be revived as a good faith and renewed friendship to the Imperial Authority of Goryeo. In addition, the CVO would like to address issues between Carnibas and Goryeo that has been left unanswered due to neutral attitude between our two nations. In particular, CVO would like to discuss the matters of immigration policy between the two nations, as over 30 million of Carnibians are living in the state of cumbersome business-visas within the Imperial Territories.

The CVO would like to again ask for the blessing form Her Imperial Highness, and would like to visit her in person to notify Her Imperial Highness of the new position. The attached files indicate the appropriate dates from the Viceroyalty Office, although flexibility is admitted due to the importance of this event. If there are any questions or comments about the selection of our new CVO or the details of the meeting, please let us know through Viceroyalty Office’s email at viceroyalsecretary@carnibasfoundation.co.kr.

With the election results in, the National Unity Party, [officially known as Parti d'unité Nationale*], looks to be making ground from the previous election in 2010, while the Populist Party, [officially known as Partido Popular*], will be losing seats. Their loss has been attributed to the massive corruptions scandals plaguing the party in recent years. People have been celebrating the downfall of the Populist Party in the Spanish and Moroccan states, while some in the Portuguese state, which houses the capital of Lisbon, are mourning the loss of their once dominant leadership over the country. Many analysts are saying the new ruling coalition, made up of primarily center and center-left leaning political parties from across Iberia, will quiet the calls of secession in some parts of the country, specifically in southern Morocco.

UPDATE 1- The National Unity Party [PN] has declared they will form a coalition government with the Socialist Party of Iberia, [officially known as Partido Socialista de Iberia*], and the Portuguese Unity Movement, [officially known as Movimento de Unidade Português*], with the leader of the PN, Lilou Monette, being sworn in as premier of the country.

OOC: I apologize for any translation problems, I used Google translate so I could do this quickly due to my very limited time. I also apologize for the tiny post and will have a larger one my next post, I just wanted to get something up.
