I think I'm going to do some sort of cryptozoologist/cryptobiologist.

And be the mad scientist of the crew. Because engineer-class mad scientists are so mainstream.

Cryptobiology is probably a skill we need. So far we only know how to kill things from Tiberius, and that only to a certain extent.

I was planning on going for an anthropologist/historian-type character. I don't really know what the Society could use a psychologist or sociologist for, really. I think I could get the character to work, as long as personality-wise they're distinct enough from Anna and Robert, of course.

Personality: Easygoing and carefree, though he can be serious when necessary. Leo is a person who doesn't enjoy too much being tied down somewhere, preferring to stay on the move. New experiences are the very purpose of life, as far as he is concerned, so he doesn't tend to pass up opportunities when they pop up. He's very extroverted and has an ease with words, and can lie without batting an eyelid, though he will often avoid doing this unless he has a reason to do so. Insults and critiques tend to just slide off of him. He rather enjoys the company of women, as well.
Strengths/Special Skills: Leo is more or less resourceful and has a fair bit of knowledge on mythology, which may just come in handy given his line of work. He can find his way around a city with relative ease and can throw a good kick or two. He's also fairly athletic and can cook pretty well if given the opportunity. However, without a doubt his biggest asset, as well as the one that caught the attention of the Kadmon Society, is his guile. If necessary, Leo can be a great many things: Trickster, Liar, persuader, deceiver, ambusher, actor, diplomat or what have you. He has a gift with words, can act pretty well, has some notion of what tact is and is able to lie through his teeth without giving it away, managing to bullshit some fairly convincing things on the fly even with minimal information. Another valuable ability would be Leo's adaptability, as he is capable of adjusting pretty well to most environments, having traveled quite a bit during his life.
Weaknesses: For one, though he's athletic and has some experience with fighting, he's also not very tough, meaning someone specializing in combat will likely knock him flat on the ground. He has very little idea of how to properly use a firearm, as well, and tends to rely a wee bit too much on his cunning, which means that if his cunning fails he is left with very little else to give. His repertoire of academic knowledge is less than stellar, as well, and what he knows about creatures and monsters comes primarily from oral tradition, myths and stories.
Biography: Leo was born to a rich Mexican couple of Spanish ancestry, who gave him the best education they could afford, having him learn another language and other practical stuff. On went the years and the clever Leo showed much promise, impressing both his educators and his parents. But alas, one day he just dropped out and disappeared, all because of a girl. Leo's parents were understandably enraged, and did everything in their power to find the young man and ruin his little romance. In the end the girl decided that it just wasn't worth it and left him, but even then Leo had no intention of going back and so, he continued to be on his own, traveling the republic, using naught but his cleverness to get by as he couldn't count on his parents' money. This went on for another four years during which he had plenty of romances which never lasted very long at all. Eventually, however, he heard that his parents had been in a car accident. His mother was dead, killed instantly in the incident, but his father was still alive, although in a bad condition. Finding out about this, Leo moved earth and sky to make his way back home, managing to reunite with his father on the man's deathbed, making peace with him. The man revealed that, even though they had been sorely disappointed by his actions, they had no one else to give their fortune to, and so, all of it went to Leo. After the funeral, he decided that he'd had enough of his motherland for a while and decided to travel the world, which he did for the next five years. Recently, he had an unsavory encounter with a vampire in Paris, but through sheer guile Leo managed to convince him that, due to a variety of intrincate factors, his blood was toxic for vampire consumption, stalling the creature long enough for a member of Kadmon to arrive and take care of the rest. Impressed by his bullshitting, they decided to give him a chance, and knowing that he was in for a hell of a ride, Leo took this chance.

Personality: Felina is eccentric and a bit absent-minded, with a number of quirks. Tends to be overly verbose, or uses excessively long words, which she has to dumb down. Somewhat short-tempered, as she does not have much patience for those that think slower than her. Tends to see ethics laws as mere hindrances, but will comply with them if forced/threatened to. Unfortunately that's just about everyone. Occasionally gets involved with criminal enterprises, but this is only to get equipment/materials/specimens for herself. Either she doesn't realize the consequences of this, or she doesn't care. Firmly believes in the value of science. Atheist.
Strengths/Special Skills: You want strengths? How does an IQ of 197 strike you? Highly knowledgeable of the inner workings of life forms, as it was her field of study before joining the Kadmon Society. Education from Caltech with a doctorate in zoology, as well as a minor in mythology. Fluent in German, Latin, French, Spanish, Italian, Romanian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Arabic. A skilled artist, though she only uses this for diagrams - the thought has never struck her to go professional.
Weaknesses: Has never seen Breaking Bad, despite being from New Mexico. May actually be insane, and the thought terrifies her.
Biography: Felina was born to a biology and linguistics professor in the city of Albuquerque, the two of whom instilled in her just about as much knowledge and curiosity as they could. She was a masterful student of the sciences, and equally skilled at languages - she was speaking Spanish as well as English from an early age, and was at an equal level in German by ten. Soon, she was off to Stanford and a biology doctorate. During her stay there, she roomed with a cryptology major who may or may not have done what could only be described as 'Osbourneian' amounts of drugs. It was them that convinced her to take a minor in mythology, as she didn't want to sully her potential reputation with an actual cryptology major. But, the field began to interest her anyway, and she was soon drawn into it, even as she was working as a research assistant. Here is where her later troubles started up - she would often seem to 'forget' about certain ethics laws, if she discovered something interesting that further analysis would require breaking the aforementioned ethics law. But this was simply chalked up to her absent-mindedness and left alone. It wasn't until well after her graduation that anything came of that - she broke a few minor laws regarding animal cruelty while testing the immune system and healing abilities of crocodiles, so what? However, it was enough to get her in trouble, and instead of bothering with lawyers or trying to keep her practice, she quit and decided to look for work somewhere where she wouldn't be bothered with lawyers.

The Kadmon Society had had interest in her for some while, and offered to be that somewhere. Naturally she accepted.

Personality: An extrovert man, he is an eccentric, an oddball, but also the very exciting one, and he also has his own bad side, after all he's just a human. He is aware of the surroundings and sometimes try to adapting to situation, which usually ends. Badly. His interest in parkour also reflecting to his "full of excitement" personality.
Strengths/Special Skills: He is a skilled practitioner of free-running and has a good stamina, and also able to lock-picking on locked doors. Usually he mixed his parkour with his skills to open doors and/or chests, to find anything valuables. He's not good with combat, whether it's close combat or with firearms, so he usually escaped from combat conflicts with his skills. If he can't escaped, he will utilizes his surroundings and his parkour to defeat/kill. He is able to open locked doors whether it's electronic or traditional doors, but he prefers traditional, as it's easier. Street-smart with years of experience within the underworld makes him resourceful and charming enough, to him.
Weaknesses: While he learned academy subjects, he never really good at academic abilities. Although he's spent years with criminals, he never like the prospect of fighting close combat or with firearms, thus he has little skills in combat and no firearms skills.
Biography:

He was born in Seoul, but from parents of Chinese and North Korean immigrants, but given a Chinese name to be able to blend easily. He spent his childhood with his parents who worked at a restaurant, while his mother, who was a teacher in North Korea, home-schooled him in their run-down house every days, but never revealed her past.

He has friends, one of which was older than him and took him under his wing. He taught him about how to use free-running effectively in order to utilize it during their teenage years, which involved worked for criminals to stole things. As he grew older, his parents escaped to China as they had a debt, and since he also need to repaid the debt, but they arrived on China with fabricated identity as moving Korean family. His criminal connection was severed when his bosses back at Korea was arrested. He went into school, junior high school, eventually graduated from senior high with average grades. After his graduation, however, he was invited again into the same dark world that corrupted his heart years ago, and became a member of another crime family, and learned many, many new things, but excelled on opening locked doors and locked things, as well as free-running.

His latest botched gig was during his trip to Paris, accompanying his friends of criminals on a meeting with Parisian criminal boss, however, the trip was botched early when he and his friends were trapped with a dark witch they met on their way. Barely escaping alone, he arrived on the place where a team of Kadmon Society were and they able to helped him took care of the witch. Impressed with his free-running skills, and noting that he has a shade of scholar, but more of a shade of warrior, they decided to gave him a chance in Kadmon, and Lei, knowing that returning after this would be more dangerous, decided to took the chance.

Personality: Nana Willa, as a brave few have dared to call her, is certainly a complicated woman. Generally speaking, she is cynical, sardonic and a bit cruel, particularly towards those she considers 'oafish' or 'excessively French'. She does not care for empty courtesies, and seldom holds her tongue. She's also violently German.

However, at times one can glimpse glimmers of melancholy and compassion through her hard looks and sharp tongue. To this day, the woman still mourns her husband's death, even as she derides him for being a 'puffed up fathead', and can be fiercely protective of the few fellow members of the Kadmon Society that she views favourably.

She is surprisingly liberal in many aspects, albeit not in an idealistic way, but she is not fond of modern science, preferring the methods and philosophy of ancient and medieval alchemists and scholars. In her eyes, to label herself a mere 'biochemist' would be a disservice to her labour, and she feels the same way about all other disciplines. Because of this, she does not let anyone call her 'Dr Kaulitz', even though she has several doctorates.

Strengths/Special Skills: As a biochemist who insists on being referred to as an alchemist, Nana Willa's centuries of experience and extensive education make her one of the world's best poison and medicine makers. Chemical warfare is something she has few qualms about, and although it has been a long time since she last produced a Philosopher's Stone, there are not many ailments she cannot cure.

Since she has served the Kadmon Society for so long, Wilhelmina knows more about the supernatural than most, specially when it comes to German and Norse folklore. She has personally met countless magical creatures, and knows how best to deal with hostile ones and help the friendly ones using her own homemade concoctions. Furthermore, she is the owner of the only known surviving copy of the legendary Schwarzwald Grimoire, which contains hundreds of unique alchemical recipes and thorough descriptions of local creatures not featured in other books.

She is also fairly good with ranged weapons, although far from the Society's best shooter.

Weaknesses: The centuries have made Wilhelmina wise, but they have also made her frail. Although she once was more than capable of wielding weapons and moving quickly, nowadays she would be helpless if she were forced to fight in close quarters. A powerful blow could easily break her bones, and chances are she would not survive deep wounds, even with the help of her own medicines.

Biography: The Black Forest was a frightful place many centuries ago, filled with monstruous growls and the whispering of leaves, where little girls with red hoods entered, never to return. Even the local nobility, with their brave knights and disregard for folk tales, avoided it when possible.

Wilhelmina knew all this when she first entered, but she was beyond caring. Her noble father had raised a spoiled daughter, a girl fully aware of her family's status, and thus too arrogant to make any concessions. So, she went into the woods, her father's copy of the Schwarzwald Grimoire in hand, with a leather bag filled with flasks, ready for alchemical mischief. At the age of twelve, she had already learned much about the transformation of metals, herbs and spices from her family's smiths and physicians, and know she wanted one thing and one thing alone: the ingredients necessary to make a philosopher's stone.

No news of the noble maiden escaped from between the branches and vines for many days. When she did finally emerge from the dark woods, she was covered in mud, grass and dried blood, with her bag full with ingredients.

Thus began Wilhelmina's life as an alchemist and apothecary, her activities an open secret among noble and common folk alike, even as her father did what he could to turn her into a proper lady and find her a suitor that would prevent any further escapades. However, his daughter soon outmaneuvered him as she seduced the knight Leuthar Kaulitz and coaxed him into marrying her.

Leuthar proved to be a doting and very permissive husband, who let her continue her work while he devoted himself to falconry. Although she was often harshly critical of him, sometimes to the point of overt cruelty, she cared for him a great deal, and the two remained faithful to one another even after it became clear that they could not produce offspring.

Wilhelmina's breakthrough in her lifelong search finally came as the two were nearing the end of their youth, after years of failures and accidental groundbreaking discoveries. At long last, she had produced a philosopher's stone, capable of turning lead into gold and giving the two of them a few more decades of youth. Keeping it secret, the two used it to increase their wealth and live longer, while making a name for themselves in their region through less grand endeavours, like her miraculous medicines and his outstanding performances in tourneys.

Then came the Thirty Years' War.

Neither Leuthar nor Wilhelmina had every been very faithful, but they nevertheless took a liking to the Reformation. Thus, when war came to the Black Forest, the ever gallant knight rode to battle in the blink of an eye, barely listening to his alchemist wife's sardonic scolding.

Two years later, Wilhelmina's beloved 'oaf of a knight' lied dead near the Rhine, his chivalry proven to be no match for gunpowder. Now the world's oldest widow, Wilhelmina spent many years in solitude, locked within her husband's estate, her work now her only reason to live.

Wilhelmina eventually ended her isolation as the seventeenth century neared its end, and her notoriety began to grow among the alchemists and apothecaries of Europe. Hundreds of letters from her peers flocked to her estate, along with those few nobles and peasants who knew of her work and needed her medicines. Even some of the creatures who dwelt in the Black Forest began to visit her in the dark of the night, and so it was that the Kadmon Society discovered her.

It took a lot of effort on the Society's part to convince Wilhelmina to join them, but once she did, she soon became one of its most valuable assets. Throughout the centuries, she provided the Society with many unique alloys, poisons and cures to use in the fight against the dangers that lurk in the darkness. As humanity's understanding of the chemical and biological sciences improved, Wilhelmina reluctantly followed, studying in several universities under pseudonyms, working in the field with some of the world's leading scientists, and applying what she learned to her own art.

Now, after decades going back and forth between Germany and Scandinavia, the Kadmon Society has bribed Wilhelmina into moving to Paris, leaving behind her beloved laboratory and the small handful of apprentices she found worthy of her instruction.

Suffice to say, she is far from ecstatic.
