Lavan Tiri wrote:"Fear. Tell me, Starkindler, are you afraid?"
Tir-Nnolgeth had been lying in wait, his form and followers hidden within the event horizon of the black hole. Most creatures would be destroyed by the gravity, but the Leth'hao were not only alive, they were revitalized. Now, the Empty King swam in lazy circles about the Starkindler, only the purple light of his eyes visible.
"It is right to be afraid, Light-Bringer. But this is not the time for fear. That comes later.", Nnolgeth chuckled, the sound like that of planets hurtling through space. He hadn't expected the Enemy to come join his Court for lunch, but now that she was here…
Come, children. Help me entertain our guest…", he commanded, and the Leth'hao rushed forth, claws drawn, Void swirling between their fingers. They would not torture her, but instead simply dance around, acting as though they were deciding how to best harm her.
Meanwhile, Nnolgeth spread his mind, finding the fragments of this star system and drawing them in, feeding the black hole their energy and mass, preparing a surprise for any other Starkindlers that would arrive.
She looked around, standing tall, seeing them. They truly had returned. "Yes. I am afraid. The only thing we have in common, the two of our races, is fear. We Starkindlers fear you and your black holes. And what do the Voidlords fear?" she asked, not expecting an answer, turning to see the other Voidlords circling around her. "Light. And I have plenty of it." she said, all of a sudden flaring her light. Her body shined with the light of the stars, too bright for their eyes, and she blasted it at them, pausing for a moment, uttering, "Fear the light." before continuing the onslaught.
She did not know if she could escape, and so, the others had to be warned. She searched for their minds, locating the seven and speaking in their minds. "They have returned," she said, not having to explain who 'they' were. "I will attempt to hold them until Tarmithéil arrives, but prepare yourselves, brothers and sisters, and put a guard on your stars."
