That night, Sarah slept like a rock. Her day had been full of action after all, and after spending so much energy, first on the bank robbery and then on the battle against the wizard, she had been left exhausted. The prize that they had been able to seize after all their effort was of course more than worth it, and the feast they had made for themselves at the small roadside restaurant was but a taste, pardon the pun, of the things that were to come now that they were swimming in the money they had stolen from the First Bank of Starling City, but even then, the pale girl was exhausted, and so, after Samantha had driven them to a hotel on the outskirts of Gotham City, Sarah Grimm walked to her room and was soundly asleep before her head hit the pillow.

She awoke early the next morning, some time before her sisters. Her deep scarlet eyes fluttered open as her consciousness returned from the land of dreams, and she let out a huge yawn as she sat up, giggling to herself in her room as she realized her first thoughts were of how she preferred to wake up in the arms of someone else, though of course, she would never do something that would disturb her sisters, and they were sleeping in the same suite.

Standing up, the blood charmer walked straight to the shower to start her day, spending inside far longer than what was actually necessary to rid herself of any uncleanliness, simply enjoying the sensation of the warm water streaming down and running through her soft skin. She was wasting water most assuredly, but who was going to complain about it? Certainly not the hotel that had been paid a hefty sum by the sisters for the use of the suite.

However, she knew very well that she couldn't just stay in the shower forever, nor did she have any desire to do so. Turning off the shower and stepping out of the restroom, the pale woman dressed herself in fairly simple clothes: a pair of black shorts and a white sweater with a hoodie. As always, she had no intention of donning provocative clothing to make herself more noticeable or alluring; she had neither the necessity nor the desire to do so, her natural, or should we say, supernatural beauty itself making her stand out in the crowd far more than any dress or accessory could.

Walking into the living room, Sarah plopped down on a sofa and turned on the suite's television, which was currently set to the news channel. In there, she could see the chaos that Gotham was going through at the moment, with the Batman missing from the city and the gangs running amok through the streets. At the sight of such a bleak situation, Sarah could only shake her head repeatedly and chuckle softly, remembering the words her younger sister had used the previos day. "What was it she said?" The eldest Grimm asked herself out loud as she continued to watch the news. "'The sooner we get to Gotham the better off we'll be' or something like that? Right." She shook her head some more, before switching to cartoons.

Hadrimmelis would have shaken her head, were she still in human form. As it was, the black and crimson dragon merely pulled herself to her feet telekinetically, not relying on her sister's claw for support. The gesture was perfectly fine for humans, but it was probably not so anatomically convenient for dragons, anyway. After getting back on her wings, Hadrimmelis looked at the Time Demon, and then back at Yamirakkelis.

"I had assumed that he would be weak enough for us to take him on. I did not expect him to retain so much of his power. This will be a very difficult battle." She said before flying high and sending forth a rain of thunder and fire and light from her breath, headed straight towards Ku.

"DRAGON, THE ARMIES OF YOUR UNIVERSE COULD NOT TOUCH ME, YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS COULD NOT KILL ME, YOUR CHAINS AND PRISONS COULD NOT HOLD ME. WHY, THEN, DID YOU BELIEVE FOR ONE MOMENT THAT YOU COULD POSSIBLY WIN THIS BATTLE?" The Time Demon asked mockingly even has his body was obliterated time and time again by the starslaying attacks from the Rantu and the divine rays from the Returned Vokornian, simply rewinding all the damage that was caused without seeming to lose any energy from doing so. In fact, he seemed to regenerate even faster than the others could cause it damage, simply returning to his previous untouched state after the damage was caused, not wasting a single instant on such a process. He did not laugh, but it was clear that he would do so if he was capable of it. For now, he merely stood still, soaking up the damage they caused, as if to mock them.

"YOUR STRUGGLES ARE FUTILE, DRAGONS, HUNTER, SORCERESS. MY POWER MAY NOT BE AT ITS HEIGHT, BUT I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED HERE. THIS IS THE CLOSEST POINT TO MY DOMAIN. HERE, YOUR RULES DO NOT APPLY. NOW WITNESS THE POWER OF WHAT YOU HAVE CALLED THE TIME DEMON." Ku spoke, extending his arms to the sides in a gesture of dominance. Suddenly, any attacks that were headed towards him were dramatically slowed halfway through, disappearing before they touched him, fading into an ethereal mist that floated back towards him. Hadrimmelis' stream of fire and thunder and light was picked apart, as were Aru'va's constant hails of destruction and Ashyandra's rays of dusk and of divinity. Then, with a wave of the Time Demon's hand, the mist seemed to reform in different places, and with different orientations, in essence sending the attacks back to their senders, keeping them busy.

At that moment, the Time Demon took a step forward and suddenly, he was in front of Hadrimmelis once again. The World-Dragon knew enough about the workings of this place by now to know to expect something like that, and so, instead of allowing herself to be struck once again, she used her psionic powers to fire what was the telekinetic equivalent of a railgun round into Ku's body, distracting him from what he had planned to do, if only for a moment. She then opened her massive, gaping jaws, the fire and light of genesis and the beating heart of creation perceivable within. This was so for only a moment, however, as the very next instant, her jaws snapped shut with such force that it would undoubtedly crush all but the strongest of metals, the teeth of a creature so durable it could resist star busting forces tearing through the... was it even flesh? of the Time Demon with ease.

However, by the time she looked again, the Time Demon had already reformed. Angry, Hadrimmelis swiped at Ku with her claws, rending once again Ku's form, but this time, the demon remained undeterred, slamming his fist into the World-Dragon's head despite at times appearing to be so much smaller, sending her flying back with such a simple attack, though it caused no noticeable damage to the scales covering her. Yet, the Time Demon did not let up, and leapt after her, latching onto the scarlet dragon's back, one hand pounding at it to keep her on the ground while the other was kept on her scales, as if he were trying to drain her, to sap her strength.

Idly taking off the stern, demonic-looking cursed mask now that she believed the danger had passed, Garnet looked towards Akari in surprise, her eyes growing wide as she heard the Nekomata introduce herself. The same last name? That could only mean one thing. The blonde woman scratched her head. Was everyone related there or something? She'd thought that was Iceland, not Japan. Though it probably had something to do with them being Youkai.

"Kazumo? Then you must be Masami's sister." The sole human in the field reasoned. They looked about the same age after all, though then again, she figured that she didn't really have much of an idea of how Youkai aged. They both could be far older than her for all she knew, though of course, she hadn't bothered to ask Masami about her age. She knew better than that. It would be rude, to say the least, and she wasn't sure she cared enough anyway.

Afterwards, hearing Azami speak about the deal, Garnet listened quietly. Noticing Masami looking at her, however, she sighed.

"What the hell are you looking at, fox lady?" The blonde woman said somewhat aggressively, frowning. "I have no reason to bother weighing in on this. You're the one who would be interested in the deal, not me. I have my own goals and they have nothing to do with Japan, or Youkai, or your family." She stated bluntly.

"I will follow you because I owe you, not because I care about any of these things. So choose already."

Etla put some resistance as Ihra tried to pull away from her, not wanting to break up the hug and quite frankly caring little about the other girl's preferences. Her elder sister had always been uneasy with physical contact, even among other Rainborn, but Etla didn't really pay that fact much attention, she would hug her as much as she damn pleased. But then, it was true that she hadn't seen her sister in a long time, so she figured that letting her go early just this once wouldn't hurt anyone, so, a bit reluctantly, she released her sister from the hug and backed off a bit, listening to her.

However, listening to Ihra speak all terrified, Etla couldn't help it and started giggling at the redhead's words. Judging from the description, she had seen a car and come across some thugs. All those things that were so mundane in this world had confused her to no end at first, too, but whereas Ihra had reacted with terror, she had been fascinated. They were mostly harmless things, anyway! Normal humans were no match to a Rainborn even without a powerful Core available, so Ihra really didn't have any reason to be afraid, but Etla supposed that her reaction wasn't all that strange considering her personality. Either way, she found the tale, as well as the way in which it was told, very humorous, and took a moment to calm down before replying.

"Oh, Ihra, I can understand the rest, more or less, but I don't see why you'd be scared to see me sparring with someone. It's no different from all the times that we..." She spoke, but as she trailed off, her smile died down, and she paused for a moment. "...All the times that we sparred in the Skyworld."

Craig's arrival served to cheer her up a bit, though. "Craig's very smart and he's shown me a lot of things." She said with a happy grin on her face.

Meanwhile, Taras had just found the portal created joining the dead planet and Ku's dimension. Days, perhaps even weeks ago, Hadrimmelis had come to Tarasekannú's world with a chip on her shoulder. She told him this wild tale about Time Demons and an ancient war, something he wasn't quite interested in while fighting a tiger with his bare hands. He heard his sister, but wasn't really listening.

Fast-forward to now, and Taras had felt the disturbance in the Dragon Force when Ku was freed. Recalling the things Hadri had told him back then, he created an avatar to fly to his sister's aid. It took him a short while to reach the portal, flying at top dragon speed, and by that time the fight had already begun. Taras entered the portal, human-sized, to see Hadrimmelis being beaten by what he had to assume was the Time Demon, Ku.

Wasting no more time, Tarasekannú morphed into his volcanic dragon form and charged the demon. Taras crashed into the dark form, cloaked in flames, trying to drive the demon from his sister. "Sister, this is the Time Demon, I assume?" Taras spoke in a deep voice befitting his appearance, as flames spilled from his maw. "It looked like you needed some help there. I hope you don't mind."

Samantha Grimm
Samantha woke up later than her older sister older sister and stumbled out of her room wearing a black t-shirt and shorts that she slept in. Her eyes were barely open as she walked sluggishly into the bathroom to shower. Samantha was not a fan of the morning time, mainly because the sun was shining so damn brightly. Samantha didn't even seem to notice Sarah sitting on the couch as she headed into the bathroom.

Once inside the bathroom Sarah undressed and stepped inside the shower, the warm water feeling very refreshing against her cold skin. She spent a decent amount of time in the shower before turning off the water and drying herself off. Once she was completely dry she began to dress herself with the clothes she had brought from her room. She wore a black skirt top that was laced with silver across the seems, and dark blue jeans beneath it. She wore golden earrings in the shape of small broomsticks. They were gifts from her sisters that were poking fun at Samantha's witch like personally. Despite this Samantha had become quite taken with them and wore then often.

She came into the living room where she saw Sarah watching TV and Samantha sat down next to her. "Good morning sis, seems you've gotten comfortable here already." She saod as she sat down, resting her head on the soft cushion of the couch. "We probably won't stay long. We're just here to lay low for a little while, then we can move on to somewhere safer and more desirable. Maybe New York, or something." Samantha said to her older sister. Samantha had always been the plan maker of the group of sisters. She liked to make sure she knew exactly what her next move was. "I'm sure there are some fun things we can do her in the meantime though. There seems to be trouble on the streets, but we've never had problems taking care of ourselves."

John Morgan
the Flame Guard had patrolled the streets into the late night, taking out large numbers of gang members, destroying huge loads of weapons and leaving the thugs tied up and incapacitated. There was still more work to be done, but things had started to calm on the streets a bit as the gangs were retreating to try to reorganize. When he returned to his penthouse late at night he was exhausted, but didn't go to sleep just yet. He showered and caught up on the news across the country. Apparently there was a huge bank robbery in Starling, in which millions of dollars were stolen. He read that the perpetrators were said to be three women, one who had almost fur like ears and the other who witnesses said was a vampire. Morgan scoffed, the witness reports seemed laughable so he decided to head off to bed.

He woke up late the next morning, some small bruises on his forearms were the only signs of his escapades the night before. The Flame Guard didn't do patrols during the day, so Morgan decided he'd take a walk around the wealthy part of Gotham where his penthouse was, and see how things were on the streets.

As Okarot slowly came to, sat up on the ground, rubbing the side of his head due to the pain he felt throughout it. He had known that there would be quite the hangover afterwards, but this All the damage he had sustained during combat really hit him now, and he could feel it throughout his body. It became clear that Super Saiyan 3 was not a perfect transformation, but instead, was an incomplete form. It had to be, as neither Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2 caused this much damage upon initial transformation. This was the Super Saiyan tree of transformations pushed to it's maximum, as his body now struggled to keep up with the power. And, that meant that to improve, he not only needed to ascend, he needed to progress to a whole new tree of transformations.

As he dwelled on this subject, he suddenly looked up to observe his surroundings, and upon seeing the female android standing over him, he quickly jumped to his feet, assuming a combat stance, but quickly calming himself as he sensed her power level, and relaxed demeanor. He spoke in a somewhat confused tone, unaware how this android got into the time chamber, "How did you get in here?", he asked, looking around for any kind of entrance door, "I was under the impression that this dimension had no entrance built. Did you open a portal?"

Suikan felt a pain on his chest, seeing the destruction the aliens had caused. They were merciless, murdering men, women, children without distinguishing. His power level stayed down, in order for them not to sense him. He wandered the streets of the city, seeing familiar faces staring at the vastness of it all. He could feel rage, an incredible rage that grew inside of him. A rage that extended since his mother had died. A rage for his destroyed pride. His hands had taken the shape of a fist. He could feel he was stronger since he had emerged from near death. Remembering his father, it was a trait of Saiyans.

He did have any time. He could feel his wounds healing, and, when he felt that he was completely out of any danger, he powered up, realizing the extent of his powers having grown. He wanted for them to come, to attack. Because he could feel he could defeat them, even all together.

While in the middle of a plain, nearby the city, he sensed a power level. It was coming closer to him. He waited but, suddenly, an old woman appeared, holding a basket.
"Excuse me, gentleman, I have some fruits and vegetables to sell. Would you want some?" the old woman asked, looking at him.
"No, I am fine. Where are you going ma'am?" Suikan asked, noticing the absurd power level.
"Well, here and there, son. Here and there."
Suikan transformed to a Super Saiyan, noticing the rise of his power level.
"You don't trick me, killer." He extended his hand and fired upon the old woman an energy blast. She flew up in the air, before stopping mid-way.
"Smart. Not so smart thinking you can take us all on." The woman laughed a twisted laugh, before her skin becoming pale, her hair blue, as well as her lips. Behind the transforming alien, five more figures appeared, with high power levels. One of them was Era, who was upset to see again Suikan.
"You had told us he was dead, Takon." The man who talked was the oldest of the aliens, his blue hair accompanied by a dark blue beard and a missing eye. He seemed powerful as well.
"We shouldn't fight with each others, Ravi, everyone." The one who had talked was a woman, similar to the other woman. She wore the uniform all of them were wearing, a black vest with a yellow symbol in the chest. It was a symbol that reminded Suikan of a crow.
"Suikan, you should know the names of your killers, don't you think?" The ine who had talked was the third one on that fateful night, a man with long blue hair, as well as with spikes on his back and his hands, the only member of the group which had them.
"My name is Dera. You have met Takon, Era and Lav." He pointed at the man that had seemed so powerful and the woman that could transform. As well as Era.
"Here is Ravi, the oldest of our group and Vir." He then pointed to the woman that had instructed the men not to fight.
"I hope you have a wonderful death." Dera bowed.

"You killed the people of the town for no reason. You wanted me, you should had focused on me. Now, I have arrived and there is nothing standing between you and death." Suikan felt rage for everyone present there and he could feel he was stronger, much stronger than before. This time he didn't wait for them to attack first. He jumped forward, his first punch landing on Era. Era flew backwards and before anyone could react, Suikan kicked the transforming woman, Lav, in the stomach. She coughed from the pain before flying to the ground. Dera focused his energy at his hand, firing an energy blast which Suikan avoided, before Takon grabbed him from behind.
"Remember me?" He laughed. Suikan saw Vir heading his way, with an intent to kill. He kicked her in the jaw, before powering up to push Takon away. He punched him on the stomach, blood pouring from his mouth. He attempted to strike Suikan but he dodged the punch, grabbing Takon's fist and responding with an elbow hit. Takon coughed more blood and, before he could fire an energy blast, Suikan had kicked him on the stomach. He was thrown away.

Suikan heard clapping from nearby. The old man, Ravi, was standing directly in front of him, looking directly at Suikan.
"You are much more powerful than before." He looked at those that were thrown around.
"Weaklings." He attacked Suikan. He was extremely fast, hitting Suikan on the stomach. He then kicked Suikan on the face and, attempted to punch him on the chest, before Suikan grabbed his punch and kicked him away. Ravi laughed, a purple ball of energy forming in his hand.
"You are a powerful opponent, Suikan. Those weaklings can't hope to reach you. However, I can." He fired the ball of energy towards Suikan, Suikan avoiding it. The sphere was heading towards Era, who couldn't stand up. He muttered "No, pleas-" before being blasted away.

"This attack was never meant to hit me, right monster?"
"It was but a mere fragment of my power and an example of what I can do."
Suikan saw around him the other, encircling him. Vir, threw fragments of her energy towards Suikan, purple covering the atmosphere. Suikan dodged them, swiftly moving behind Vir and punching her on the back, while kicking Dera. Vir flew towards the ground, while Dera retained his position. He attacked, accompanied by Lav and a weak Takon, while Ravi stood away, laughing. They attacked simultaneously, Suikan dodging the hits, before firing an energy blast towards the direction of Dera. He dodged it, not able to dodge, however, the ensuing kick on his head. Suikan turned towards Lav, then, who continued to attack, now with fury and not thinking about her attacks. He grabbed both of her hands, starting a barrage of kicks at her face. Takon came from behind him, a desperate attack. Suikan pushed Lav away before avoiding the punches of Takon, only to unleash an energy blast on his stomach. He flew backwards, to a nearby hilltop. Lav attempted to strike again, but an energy blast at her face casted her unable to do anything else. Only Dera, Ravi and Vir were able to fight. Vir attempted to attack, a last ditch attempt but she was stopped by Suikan who concentrated his energy in his left hand and unleashed a blast towards her. She couldn't avoid it and fell unconscious.

Ravi laughed, the cruelest laugh Suikan had ever heard.
"What did I say? Weaklings." As he said that, he pierced the torso of Dera, who exclaimed in pain. Ravi removed his hand, covered in blood only to obliterate Dera through an energy blast. Laughing, he unleashed three other energy blasts at the way of the unconscious fighters, all being killed by someone they considered an ally.
"Now, I believe the real fight can begin."

Daniel Carter/NightBlade-38 Yrs-Gotham City

The emergence of Batman seemed to solve one of my problems, but in this case, it also presented one. The caped crusader was now verified to be alive, but now he must be subdued in order to ensure his safety. As predicted, he has no intentions of letting me end the Mad Clown's life. "This battle is over." He tried in vain to convince me. But I could hear the weakness in his voice. I broke my fist loose from his and took a couple steps back. Moving myself into a combat position. "The two of us should be allies Batman. But you simply wont allow that, will you?" The Dark Knight pulled no punches, going straight in for several strong jabs, as he was now noticeably without his utility belt, and I was not going to use any weapons against him, so this was purely a hand to hand contest. I was not in prime condition myself, but in far better shape than him. So I deftly blocked the jabs as he delivered his retort.

"I dont ally with murderers." Then, as I grasped his wrist I verbally countered.

"Good, I have not killed anyone...yet."

As he broke away and threw a spinning kick, which knocked me back several feet despite blocking it. He quickly followed up.

"Then it's not too late, Daniel." I actually left myself open as he caught me off guard knowing my name.

"So, you know who I am?" He answered with a firm fist to the nose, spilling blood down my face as he hit me.

"Daniel Carter AKA Sentinel. Formerly wanted on charges for the murder of Deathstroke, charges dropped after Slade was confirmed alive. Former Batman of your own world, If the Bruce of that world was anything like myself, then he saw something in you. Why didn't you kill Slade when you found him alive? Why after already serving prison time did you not end him?" I then gave a answer of my own, throwing a side kick into his knee, dropping him on a single leg and then delivering a strike to his cheek.

"Because I had something to lose if I did. I had a family, a full family I wanted to see outside of a cage." I then towered over the fallen and weary hero. Whose fist then cut sharply into my chin with a devastating uppercut, sending my entire body flailing backward onto the pavement.

As I slammed down on the hard pavement, he picked himself up and walked over to me.

"You still, have much to lose if you go through with this Daniel. I learned about you, just days before I was captured." The blood began to rush to my head, as I forced myself up, and threw myself into a full tackle of the dark knight. Plowing into him, and sending blow after blow to his rib cage.

"That's too easy for you to say! You lost both of your parents! What do you have to lose?! A butler! A estranged son! His even more distanced mother!" The Batman's strength was failing him, what little he had left was just not enough, and as I lost my own cool, I hit him. Then I hit him again. And again. Before finally he slumped down in front of me, and I realized what I had done, as he spat blood in front of me. I then looked over to the crippled Joker, who was all too amused by this.

I then backed away from the Batman. Exhaling deeply.

"How much are you willing to sacrifice to save him?" I questioned. As his eyes looked weakly up. I felt my heart drop as he answered.

"Not to save him. Not tonight....to save you. From breaking her heart." At first I had no clue what he was saying, but as I heard a silent whimper. My eyes scanned behind me.

Mayla, who had just found me. Had both hands cupped over her mouth. Tears welling in her eyes. Her figure, shaking ever so slightly, as she choked, trying to keep the emotion in. Trying to grasp what she was seeing. Why her husband, who she had defended when the world cursed. Who she had stood beside when he was given the metaphorical sign of 'murderer' to wear.

To see me now, in my midnight black uniform, decorated in blood. With weapons obviously meant to take life. Eyes filled with a anger, but quickly shifting to regret. She could not say anything, but she never needed to. The hurt on her face was evident. To go through all of the pain, not just the recent troubles of the trial, imprisonment and losing our son. But our entire marriage, had been a strained one. She carried everyday, while I missed valuable time at all the birthdays, class meetings, re unions and game nights because of my work, or being out on patrol.

It was then that I heard the voice of a certain clown near me.

"Hey...you, NightFluke...weren't you going to kill me?" I then faced the mad clown, and stepped ever closer to him, bending down to pick up my sword once more. Mayla closed her eyes, unable to watch what I was about to do. The person I was about to become.

Now standing over him, as a executioner. I held the sword out, and as a smile crept across his face. I flipped the blade around, as I slammed the hilt of the weapon into his temple. Knocking him out immediately.

"It's over." I said, as I backed away from the knocked out, but alive body of the Joker. "NightBlade...is done." Batman did not smile, but I could tell he was relieved. As I walked back over to him, I knew he could not finish the fight in Gotham in his condition. Someone would need to do so in his place until he could recover.

"It is over, I wont be able to trust myself on patrol, knowing how far I am willing to go. But one more night for the Sentinel. One more battle, to bring one more city back up from the ruins. After this, I will find a new way for Sentinel to help this world." As Mayla opened her eyes, she slowly began to walk closer to me. Still staying silent, but her speed picking up until it was a run when I caught her in my arms.

She now saw that her sacrifices for me, were not in vain. That I was still the man she married, rather than a corrupted copy. As the two of us helped Batman back up, I passed one more look at Batman, as I now fully understood why he never brought himself to kill the Joker.

For one, it would be just too damn easy. To kill anyone he believed of harming his city. Too easy to fall ever further down a self destructive path. But more than that. As far gone as the Joker is, as much pain as he has brought.

He is still a part of Gotham. Just like Poison Ivy. Two-Face and Mr. Freeze. Batman does not just fight to save some of Gotham.

But he fights to save, all of it.

And now soon I will need to find a new way to do the same thing.

For the world.

Tir-Nnolgeth, The Empty King.

Hunger.

Hunger was what drove him to it, Nnolgeth reasoned. Hunger, for energy, yes. But also an incredible, unimaginable hunger for vengeance. Vengeance against the Source, for banishing him. Vengeance against the Starkindlers, for filling his Void with their accursed Light. In due time, the Leth'hao would stop hiding, and wreak havoc upon all Creation.

The Empty King and his Court were hovering around a star, a massive red giant. When they'd arrived, it had been a medium yellow thing, sustaining a system of roughly eight planets. In a matter of hours, its vital gasses and energy had been drained, and it had turned crimson. The Leth'hao had plunged their bodies into it, ignoring the searing pain in their mad lust for sustenance.

The King watched in satisfaction as the star began to collapse, and in its final moments released a great rush of heat and light. The Voidlords soaked the energy into their bodies, as the nearby planets collapsed and burnt. Then, extending his will, Nnolgeth slammed that force upon itself, compacting the star's mass into a large black hole that devoured the remnants of the star system.

If his face worked like that, Nnolgeth would have smiled. Instead, he just basked in the glory of his coming vengeance, when ancient wrongs would be righted, and the stars themselves would be erased.

Revenge.

Ku attempted to drain Hadrimmelis of her strength, but he had failed to remember, after his aeon-spanning imprisonment, that the life of World-Dragons did not end chronologically, that if time was the only force acting upon it, a World-Dragon could go on and on and continue living indefinitely. Furthermore, he had forgotten that World-Dragons became stronger with the passage of time. Indeed, though he insisted on underestimating her, Hadrimmelis was far, far stronger than she had been during the first Time Demon War; if the difference was not noticeable, it was because the dragon currently facing Ku was not Hadrimmelis herself, but an avatar charged with what ammount of the power of the Dragon Force she could muster while slumbering underneath the hard-working creatures that lived on her surface, the fiery Hadrians. Even then, the power she currently wielded was not far below the strength she had possessed in her awakened form during the first Time Demon War; back then, even one of her younger siblings in their current forms would have been able to fight against her, most likely. She was a First Generation World-Dragon, technically, but she had been born so far after Kazayannú, and she was not the second, either. She was among the youngest, though many of the others were slain by Ku's hand.

And now that she was being supposedly drained, all Ku was doing was make this avatar stronger. The pounding continued, but Hadrimmelis slowly began to rise up despite it. However, she was not yet quite strong enough to shake him off, and he had by now realized his mistake, stopping the time drain.

It was fortunate, then, that at that moment one of Hadrimmelis' younger brothers, the World-Dragon Tarasekannú, arrived, coated in flames and charging straight towards the Time Demon. Ku noticed the dragon's presence, but was unable to react quickly enough and so, he was sent flying away from the two World-Dragons by the power of the slam, though the flames that now surrounded him were quickly turned into mist that was then absorbed by the Time Demon himself, who came to a stop not too far from the rest of the combatants, though then again, space mattered little in such a conceptually unstable zone as the one where they stood now, that battlefield on the very border of existence. The Time Demon absorbed the stream of flames that Taras blasted towards him from his open maws, and then reconstituted it in the opposite direction, sending it back towards them.

"ANOTHER DRAGON? IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW MANY MORE OF YOU COME TO FIGHT ME. THE END RESULT IS THE SAME." Ku bellowed.

Hadrimmelis, ignoring the Time Demon for the time being, simply snuffed out the flames without too much effort. Fire was one of her elements after all, and even if her power over it wasn't quite as great as Tarasekannú's, on account of mastering far more elements than he did, it was still one of her strong points. For now, she glanced at her siblings, and would have frowned if she was in human form still. She wondered who would be angrier at her: Yamirakkelis, for not telling her about Addraku when she had told Taras about him, or Kazayannú for having talked about it at all before the actual resurrection of the Time Demon. Either way, pondering such things would be of no use now. There was a fight she had to focus on at the moment.

"Yes, that is indeed the Time Demon. Thank you for helping me, Taras. Please stay and fight with us. We have to stop him here." The World-Dragon proclaimed.

"HAVE YOU NOT LEARNED THAT YOU CANNOT STOP ME, DRAGON?" The Time Demon roared, and then unleashed a decrepifying wave of mist that threatened to rot flesh and rust armor, even if it could not break scales. Hadrimmelis, angry, flew straight through the wave and high into the air, before slamming down on top of Ku. The Time Demon screamed in agony, but reformed next to her and seized her tail, swinging her around and then hurling her like she was Bowser, causing her to slam into Yamira, before walking, or rather, appearing in front of Taras, punching him in the eye and then leaping into his back to attempt to rip out his wings.

Sarah idly pressed the button on the TV remote, not too entertained by what programs were on television at this hour. What she wanted to do at the moment was go out onto the streets, see if they could find anything fun to do. Sure, the hotel was luxurious and she loved being able to stay in it, but her idea of fun wasn't exactly staying at the hotel suite all day long. They had so much money now, after all, so she didn't see why they shouldn't go out and spend it. However, as much as she wanted to take some cash and go out exploring, she couldn't bring herself to do it without her sisters. They were a very close group and tended to do everything together, so just abandoning them for the day without even saying a word to them didn't really sit well with her; thus, she opted to stay put while they woke up. She wasn't too worried about the crime on the streets, anyway. She doubted those thugs out there would willingly bring harm to her, and if worst came to worst she could always use her powers to protect herself and her sisters.

The pale lady smiled faintly when she heard the shower turn on, and noticed how not too long afterwards, Samantha emerged from the restroom, realizing with some amusement and some pleasure that she seemed to be wearing the broomstick earrings she and Hanah gave her for one of her birthdays.

"There's my cute little witch." The eldest Grimm giggled as she put an arm around Samantha. "I hope you slept well." She commented afterwards, a warm smile on her face. "Now all we need is for the little wolf girl to wake up. I'm dying to find some fun in this city." She said, her voice soft as always.

Samantha Grimm
Sam couldn't help but give a sleepy grin at her older sister's words as she snuggled into Sarah's embrace, resting her head on the older girl's shoulder. Samantha never had real parents in her life, but Sarah had always been her parental figure. Sarah had raised both her and Hannah, and Samantha had always felt that Sarah was her mother, older sister, and best friend wrapped up into one person.

"I slept well sis, I was exhausted last night. I still can't believe we got away with all that money. I'll have to cast a spell to see how much it is." She said to her, before yawning against Sarah's shoulder. She then heard her speak about Hannah and going out on the town. "I'd like to explore the city too, there's sure to be plenty of interesting stuff. We should let Hannah sleep though. Her wolf form always tires her out, and we don't want her to be cranky." Samantha said to her older sister with a smile. She was only half joking as Hannah was not a pleasent person without her sleep.

"With pleasure!" Taras rumbled back. Hadri had already stopped Ku's redirected fire attack, but dove straight through his noxious mist to attack. Taras spewed more fire from his maw, incinerating the mist before it caused any harm to the smaller beings helping in the fight.

But before he could ready another attack, Taras was sucker punched by Ku's shapeless form. Then Ku mounted his back in an attempt to tear Taras's wings off. "No you... don't!" Suddenly, earthen spikes shot out from Taras's back, impaling Ku unless he let go. To make matters worse for the Time Demon, lava also shot from Taras's back in an attempt to remove him. Taras roared in pain, the tearing causing pain whether Ku was still behind him or not.

Akari cocked her head. Confused at Garnets confusion. "Yes. I am actually." She remarked, then her eyes widened. "Oh right." She remarked, remembering the obvious racial differences between her and the Kitsune. She shrugged. "It's... a long story. I'll let Masami explain." She remarked.

Meanwhile the Kitsune nodded to Oni, and then smirked at Garnet's response. "I knew all that. It's simply considerate to ask a friend their opinion at times like these. Don't you agree?" She asked, then shrugged, her face becoming more serious. "Glad to know you're on board though. Your companionship and support has been immeasurably invaluable to me."

Azami spoke then, after yawning. "This would be cute if you weren't wasting my time." She remarked. "Do we have a deal or not fox?"

Masami turned back to Azami, nodding.

"Good. Akari. I assume you're going to be accompanying them?"

Akari nodded too. "Yes Aunt Azami. I will be." She had a look of determination.

"Very well. Your target is a group in Tokyo known as the Red Fang. We're not yet sure of their purpose. But they have been kidnapping many humans and innocent Yokai. Between the four of you, this shouldn't be too difficult. Considering Masami's tracking skills, finding them shouldn't be too hard."

"Any questions?"

Ihra looked very embarrassed when she was laughed at by her own sister, shame at the things that had scared her seemed to be laughed off by her sister. What was I thinking? How could I help Etla? She's doing fine and the first thing I do when I get to a new world is panic. I should have just stayed home... She awkwardly shuffled, looking down in shame.

"Well... I... I was just scared alright. I don't know. Humans seem very different from us... they..." She struggled. "Don't laugh at me... please..."

She sighed in relief when the topic of conversation was changed. She looked to Craig. "He..." She paused, staring at the human for a bit. "He seems nice." She remarked. She remembered back to when the humans had attacked her. So much anger. It wasn't like sparring. Suddenly she frowned at Craig. "Be nice to my sister. Alright?" She said bluntly. There was an edge to her words that wasn't there before.

The android looked upon the Saiyan as he overreacted to her presence. She tensed slightly. But then relaxed when he did. She looked upon him for a little longer, observing him for a little while. She had never seen a Saiyan this close up, though her curiosity lessened when she realized how similar to human he was in looks. She mentally shrugged and then came back to his question. Not realizing she had left a somewhat awkward pause. '

"I can travel between dimensions." She replied. "I was just coming back from an alternate universe recently. I wanted to go to my home dimension, but it seems this one seems to have been... in my way." She explained. Trying to convey the intricacies of traveling between dimensions as she did would be hard enough, but she was also an android, who found communication difficult at the best of times. "I came in time to see both of you fighting..." She remarked. "Are you injured? Why were you fighting that other Saiyan? Why was your hair glowing golden?" She asked in quick succession.

World War III
The Watchtower
Home of the Justice League

While it may be up for debate on who is Earth's mightiest heroes between the JLA and the Avengers, the League seems to have a better public relations team and widespread appeal while every other crackpot senator clamors for the shutdown of the Avengers Initiative. Floating carelessly above their pale blue marble, the Justice League watches the events of the world with a cautious, non-interfering eye unless it enters the realm of superhumans. Though, one must wonder why they've turned a blind eye to Sierra Leone, which starting from three hours ago, has gone entirely quiet on the electrical grid of Africa and the internet. "Cyborg, what's it look like on the ground?" Batman asked, the machine-man giving a display for the gathered team members.

"It's...It's not a pretty sight." Victor Stone said, zooming in on the surface of a major village in the African nation - which itself was burned to an absolute crisp, and all of it's inhabitants terribly slaughtered even prior to the fires that burned them. "It's like this across the country side and in all major cities. Something is sweeping through and laying waste to every single thing in it's path." Cyborg further said, flashing more real-time images and video feeds. The League seemed rather shocked to say the least, Superman rising and putting his hands on the Leagues' round table.

"Who's responsible? AIM?" Kal-El demanded, grinding his teeth. "I won't stand by and watch these civilians slaughtered, Vic!"

"Shazam is en-route." Batman said nonchalantly, "Vic and I tracked the path of destruction, and whatever it is, it's reaching an apex."

Superman ground his teeth furiously at Batman and Cyborg, "How long have you two known about this?"

"Forty minutes." Batman replied, Cyborg nodding in agreement.

"How many have already died?"

"We're looking at a death toll in the five to six million range." Cyborg interjected, growing grim, "Almost total loss for the country." Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Superman sat there dumbfounded at the impossibly large number - the staggering loss of life almost too great to comprehend at this point. They all looked at one another for support in what to do, all eyes eventually reaching Superman for guidance.

"I want to know when these things happen." Superman demanded, "Tell Shazam I'll be planet side in a few minutes - form a statement and some humanitarian plan for Sierra Leone to recover from this tragedy. This crime will not stand, I will make sure of it." Superman said, turning and walking away from the table and leaving the League to their own devices as Kal-El's deep seeded anger began to manifest. "We're supposed to prevent these types of things, damnit!" He yelled out, punching a wall in frustration, and leaving the room on that note.

The Ashes of Sierra Leone
The Day of Rage

The capital of the African country was in absolute and total ruins, Freetown nothing but a blistering orange streak against the sky at this point, a single figure standing atop a literal mountain of bodies piled in the cities' center. It was clear to any observer that it was the Mad King of Ur, Maxwell Morningstar, standing on that mound and clutching the neck of a random man, if any observer were alive to witness such an atrocity. Max looked uncaringly into the man's dead eyes, his neck snapped and hanging limply backwards. "Didn't have much to say as the last of your nation, huh?" He asked, tossing the corpse off the mountain of thousands and letting him join the rotting mass towards the bottom. Max turned his head at the appearance of one last defender of Sierra Leone - in truth, feeling his energy long before he even arrived.

"Your reign of terror stops here." The barrel-chested, lightning-emblem'd superhero declared - a magical aura surrounding him and allowing Max to easily identify who he was. "You're a monster, and you'll pay for what you've done to these people." Shazam said, rushing forward and throwing a straight punch at Mad Max as he stood on his trophy pile, the Mad King moving at the last second and remaining close to Shazam's forearm. Shazam looked confused at the slight dodge, but realized his mistake as Max slammed the arch of his foot deep against Shazam's ribs, sending the man flying into a nearby building.

"You're outclassed, Shazam. Not only that, but you're late as well. I have no use for this pitiful nation - I've gotten what I came for." Max said to Shazam, hopping down from the pile of bodies and walking closer to where the man had been flung. "It only took the deaths of everyone to accomplish, though." He informed Shazam politely, the magical superhuman shooting out of the building like a lightning bolt and slamming fist-first into Max's chest - the Mad King remaining perfectly still after the immense blow.

"What...what are you?!" Shazam pleaded, throwing more blows into Max's body, each one hitting with the strength of a freight train and then some, the loud clacks not even phasing Morningstar as he handled the abuse without concern. "Are you..." Shazam asked, rearing back and putting everything he had into one straight punch, "Even human!?" He yelled, throwing his fist forward - the Mad King catching it almost effortlessly in the palm of his hand, the force and air disruption blowing away buildings behind the duo.

"Human, you ask?" Max said, tightening down on Shazam's hand, several cracks being heard as the knuckles broke like twigs, "Yes, I'm only a human. Shocking, isn't it? That one man could do so much to his fellow man? Tell me, Shazam, how do you think I felt when I saw my kingdom wiped away by the politicking of but a few men? Seeing that those men could not only take my nation, but my bride to be and my unborn son." Shazam slammed down on one knee as Max bore down the pressure on his hand, "You don't know loss like I know loss...Billy."

Shazam's eyes widened as he realized that Max knew his real name, but knew exactly what to do in order to free his hand. He'd serve as a conductor and zap Max with enough lightning to fry him, so Billy Batson thought, smirking wildly at the plan, and shouting "SHAZAM!" at the top of his lungs, a powerful bolt of magical lightning slamming into him and going through his arm into Max - who tightened his muscles to brace for the surge of energy. Now a child, Billy prepared to transform right back, but a large hand caught his entire face.

"Say good bye, Billy." Max said softly, "The League watched your entire fight and never came to your rescue. In fact, they watched me tear through Sierra Leone and send you to your death. Thank Cyborg and Batman for planning your death, I was but their instrument." Max lifted Billy Batson high in the air, the young boy struggling and throwing his legs out and trying to pry Max's hand off on his face and mouth. "Not only that, but look." He said, grabbing a small black device from Billy's clothes. "A camera, how neat." He turned to put himself and Billy in the shot, "Now, your friends can watch you die." Max said, tightening his grip quickly, the child's head exploding like a watermelon and spraying blood and gray matter everywhere from the pressure.

Max dropped the crushed skull at his feet, Billy's lifeless body crumbling on the floor as he did so. "I will destroy this world and rebuild it in my image, Justice League. You stood idly by as I extracted revenge on the conspirators to sabotage Ur's secret weapon's arsenal. They thought they were safe from me by fleeing America and hiding in some desolate shit hole in Africa. Now, I know who exactly is on my side." Max said plainly, "Only myself." The small body camera dropped the ground, giving the League a final view of Mad Max as he rose into the sky, and in a short flash, completely disappeared.

"Morning guys." Spoke Hannah as she walked in. Much more chipper and upbeat than usual. In her arms, though she didn't really realize it at the moment, was her teddy. Very well taken care of, though it's age was somewhat obvious. She held it to her body as she walked in. Her hair was somewhat disheveled and her ears were somewhat floppy. She looked well rested however, better rested than she had been since... well... maybe forever.

"Being rich is sweet... don't you guys think?" She spoke, sighing as she sat next to her sisters, her arm around the teddy bear. "I don't think I've ever slept that good before. Like... ever!"

Afterwards, hearing the door of Hanah's room open, the eldest Grimm smiled once again, looking at her little sister as she walked out of the room, clutching her teddy bear. Sarah thought it was truly heartwarming how Hanah seemed to take such great care with her favorite toy, even if she had no idea where it had come from. Noticing how the teenage girl sat down next to her, the pale woman produced a hairbrush from the shadows of the room and began using it to gently brush Hanah's hair with her free hand, as her other arm was still cuddling Samantha.

"Being rich is rather enjoyable, my little puppy." Sarah said with her soft voice. "Say, we were planning to go outside. Do you want to come?" She asked, hoping the girl would say yes. She didn't think she could bring herself to leave her alone in the suite after all; it was not only dangerous to her, it was dangerous to other people. But then her smile turned mischievous as she figured out what to say in order to convince her. Really, her little sister was predictable.

Mia Aveline – Joker’s Funhouse

Since the GCD Officers had been less than helpful, Mia had found herself frantically searching the Funhouse for any indication of where CeeCee or Daniel may have been. Her injuries from the battle before caused a sharp stab of pain to shoot through her legs with every step, but Mia ignored the sensation – it was nothing compared to the prospect of arriving too late. She had become increasingly desperate as every room and every floor seemed to contain the same dilapidated furnishings, appearing to have been abandoned since the warehouse initially shut down. The sheer size of the mammoth factory didn’t help with the task, and Mia was rapidly imagining more and more situations in which she had to explain her failure to the two heroes. If it hadn’t been for thundering retort of gunfire from a distant battle, Mia may never have been able to find Sentinel in the Funhouse’s labyrinthine corridors.

The loud pounding of automatic weapons fire brought a hopeful grin to the girl’s face as she raced through the structure, trying to narrow down the source of the sound. If a fight was going on, then it meant that CeeCee and Sentinel were still ok, and Mia had no doubt that they’d be able to defeat anything that the Joker could throw at them. Still, she refused to slow her pace – her eyes glinting gleefully at the prospect of seeing the Nightblade take down the Joker for good. Suddenly, she rounded a corner to emerge on a balcony looking over a cavernous hall, perhaps once having been filled to the brim with assembly line machinery. A red-clothed figure on the floor below immediately caught her eye and Mia wasted no time in leaping over the barrister, using a Thread to lower herself safely to the ground below.

“Nightblade!” She landed with a slight stumble, wincing as she was reminded of her injured leg. However, her wide smile recovered almost immediately. “I did it, just like you said. The Jester and Harley Quinn won’t be terrorising the innocent citizens of Gotham City anymore!” Mia giggled slightly, a feeling of elation sweeping over her along with the sense of accomplishment; she could really get used to this hero business. The young woman was covered in blood and dust, her once pristine dress now in a far more sorry state, but none of this seemed to be enough to deter her enthusiasm. However, Mia paused as she seemed to notice the presence of the others in the hall for the first time – her tunnel vision slowly dissipating. “Oh.” A look of confusion past over her face as she saw the unconscious body of the Joker and the badly beaten figure of the Batman. She figured it may be better not to ask, confident that Daniel would have it all perfectly under control. Instead, Mia directed her attention towards the woman entangling herself in Daniel’s embrace, offering a friendly smile in introduction. “You must be Mayla, I’ve heard so much about you!” She extended a hand towards the Nightblade’s wife. “I’m the Marrionette – I’m your husband’s new partner.”

Hannah's belly growled in response to that. Interrupting her contented smile as she was having her hair brushed. She thought for a moment, then made a cute little yawning growl as she got up. "Sure. I could use some food. We might have some fun or something too..." She remarked. She then stretched her limbs slightly. "Let me just pack the backpack." Hannah reffered to her pack as "The Backpack" as it had many things that benefited the group as a whole. Of course she packed teddy in there always. Carefully so he wouldn't get hurt. She then placed the medical kit and several other things they might need. After all you never know what you might need on the road.

Yami frowned, then pointed a scaled hand at Ku, who happened to be slamming her sister into the floor. Her dragon eyes turned yellow as she access her Manipura aura, the Aura which dealt with self Energy and willpower, a yellow energy eveloping her. Empowering her magical attack as she sent it forth from her clawed arm, the attack designed to force Ku to drop her sister.

"His regeneration is troublesome..." She muttered. "If I had full knowledge of my auras, i might be able to do something about it..."

Ashy and Aru managed to dodge their own attacks, Aru with contemptible ease. Computer systems in her suit helped her navigate her own attacks. Her drones weren't so lucky however, and had been annhilated in the blast. Ash too didn't have to worry about her own attacks either.

Aru turned to the time demon. With considerable speed she went towards him. With a thought she got out two of her warp grenade launcher and her bubble gun and aimed at her target. The bubble itself might hold for a while perhaps, and the warp nades might actually do some damage, considering their physics warping nature. But really she wasn't sure. But there was no time for doubt as she bombarded her target with precise accuracy.

Ling Sian - Metropolis

"Ow!"

Ling yelled when he landed. When he landed, of course, he tried to stood up, and then he looked around. It all strange to him. Brick walls? Pavement? Western people in front of him? Where is he? He reminding himself with the same words and words over and over. It all seem strange for him. All he remembered was he fought valiantly against his former friends, his father ran away, and then FLASH......and he stranded here.

He walked forward, and to his shock, he found high buildings. High, so many high buildings. Many Western people, all looking funnily at him, and even one threw some coins to him, which he picked up.

"Where am I?"

He approached one of the Westerners, a young lady, and yet she ran away when he approached her. It seems no one knows what happened. So he walked. He walked to finds a place.

As the android explained her story, Okarot realized that her means of travelling across dimensions was very different from his own. Okarot simply used his Ki to search out the dimension he wanted, and tear a hole to it. For this stranger however, it was clear that the dimensions were not only the destination, but also the road. Such a way a travelling could be dangerous, as there was no telling what a dimension could hold in terms of danger. Many were uninhabitable by even the strongest of beings, and would not only exert physical extremities upon you, but change the very fabric of who you were.

Suddenly, as Okarot was bombarded by a wave of questions, his hand began to glow. Lowering it to his wound, he began explaining, "I can heal myself, so my injuries will be okay." he said, rather calmly, his power hangover making him tired, "My hair was golden because I went Super Saiyan. What you saw was Super Saiyan 3, the highest form I've accomplished, though I'm sure I can go further. Super Saiyan 3 multiples a Saiyan's original power by just over 400 times, while a Super Saiyan 2 transformation multiplies it by 100 times. A normal Super Saiyan transformation multiplies it by 50 times. As for why I was fighting... basically, that cyborg over there attacked me after I released him from the pod he was contained in. But, I'm not complaining, he was a good test for the Super Saiyan 3 state."

Lazarus Hope | Gotham

Lazarus immediately crashed onto the bed in the apartment he rented. While the clutches of sleep have grasped him, it didn’t really give him as much rest as he hoped it would. As soon as he was knocked out, the visions began to haunt him once more. The visions were both divine and godless in origin. They were vivid. As he saw paradise, he felt elated; Once he saw hell, he felt the fires of Hades. He learnt more about the entity within him, and the ability it granted him. The “Word of God” as it was called. The visions were tough to bear, though; and his sleep amounted to a measly 3 hours because of it. Better have some than none, Lazarus thought to himself. It was enough, anyway: the Talon serum upped his endurance immensely. He got up and got ready for the day, noticing that the Venom’s negative effects have been gone for good. He wasn’t going to use anymore, though – it wasn’t necessary. He left the apartment, looking to buy some new weapons. He began walking to the Knightstone Corporation’s HQ in Gotham; after all, it would be a chance to set things straight with Ms. Delacroix and the Ironheart.

Sonja Delacroix

Amanda Waller poured herself another glass of Scotch.

Dear God, Sonja thought. What is that woman's liver made from, iron?

The two women had been sitting in Sonja's office for a good hour, talking about their families (neither of them had any), their jobs (which was just awkward, since they both spied on each other), and the Gotham City Bats horrendous season. But since this was Amanda's eighth glass of Scotch, Sonja figured that the talk would turn to business soon.

And indeed it did. As soon as Waller sat down and drained her Scotch, she hiccuped and said "Well, Sonja, let's discuss business. More specifically, what business you had killing Kyle Vannis. What, did you think cutting the chickens head off would stop it from running around?"

Sonja had been prepared to respond to this question. Mainly because it gave her the chance for some exposition, and no sociopathic crime queen can resist that.

"I had very good reason, Amanda. Money. Killing Vannis has set his goons loose on Gotham. The GCPD will need all the help they can get, and I'll be happy to oblige…for a fee. Then, when this mess is cleaned up, there will be some reconstruction needed. Again, some help. For money. It all comes back to money."

Amanda sat back in her chair, arms crossed. She'd expected this line of thinking from Sonja, but the owner of Knightstone seemed to have forgotten something. "What about the Bat?"

Sonja grinned. "Well, Ironheart can help keep the streets safe until he returns, I think. I'm sure Bruce wouldn't object."

And with that, Sonja stood, crossing to her elevator door. Waller took the hint and went with her, and the two women went down to the lobby in the elevator, escorted by Aaron.

Lazarus was inquiring at front desk about the weapons Knightstone produced, particularly the melee ones. He was reading about the corporation on a little booklet of sorts he found on the desk. Suddenly, he heard the elevator open and he saw Aaron and Delacroix; accompanying another woman who seemed to be a business partner. After they escorted the other woman outside and reentered the establishment, Lazarus walked up to the duo and introduced himself; outstretching a hand and smiling politely.

"Hello, I'm Lazarus Hope. I'd like to know more about your wares and possibly make a few purchases, if possible." Lazarus asked Sonja, trying to be as discreet as possible. Last time he saw this woman and the Ironheart, he tried to attack them.

She lifted an eyebrow at Roy's display of his powers, frowning when he looked away. "Roy," she said, grabbing his chin and turning it towards her, "powers are nothing to be ashamed of. Just because your powers seem 'dark' and 'evil', doesn't mean that they are, or that you are. It's what you do with those powers, that defines you." she said.

"Welcome, brother." she said in greeting. "It is always good to see you," said the third of the Starkindlers, smiling at him. Tarmithéil had been the one who had been right about the universe all along. They should have started exploring the moment they were born, instead of thousands of years later. "As you undoubtedly know, a Starfall has come." She sighed, weary of the fact that her stars were not immortal like her. It had always been a hard thing for her, the Starfalls, but they were unavoidable. But a new star would be born in it's place, and so the cycle of death and rebirth would continue.

As she was about to speak to Tarmithéil once more, she sensed something. Rushing over to her map of the universe, she traced a finger over it, stopping at where the great star Gatheniel was. Rather, where it was supposed to be. "No." she whispered, closing her eyes. The star was gone, and with it all the life on that planet. She looked up, eyes fearful, to her brother. "Gatheniel is gone." she whispered. "How can this be?!"

Rushing through a door to where her star's Stargate was, she entered the symbols, stepping aside to avoid the vaporization cloud. Entering it, and exiting in a matter of seconds, she stepped out, to see destruction. Something, or someone had destroyed the star. She flew to each of the planets, only to find scorched earth and bones. The death of the star had released a wave of heat to hot for any living thing to survive. But Gatheniel should not have died so soon, it's Starfall date was to be 346 years in the future. Frowning, tears slowly running down her cheeks, she was about to turn back to the Stargate to call a meeting of her brothers and sisters, but there was something else. She turned back to where the star should have been. She should have felt the energy of the star, or seen some remnants of it. But there was nothing. She sniffed the air, still nothing. The star had been destroyed. Lifting a glowing hand, she searched the space with her light. And then she sensed it, and felt its pull.

A black hole. The one thing that they feared. And in that moment, she looked into the depths of nothingness, and she was afraid. There was only one race she knew of that had the power and desire to destroy a star, and leave a black hole in it's wake. "It cannot be," she said. "The Source sent them far, far away, millions of years ago. They could not have returned!" she whispered to herself. But they had, and at the moment, she was the only one who knew. She had to warn the others. She attempted to turn around and fly back to the Stargate, but she could not. She had been ensnared by the black hole. Blasting it with light, she attempted to propel herself away, but she only succeeded in feeding it. She could not fall here. For if the Voidlords had returned, she had to warn her brothers and sisters. "Tarmithéil!" she cried out in his mind. "A black hole surrounds the Gatheniel system, and I have been trapped by it. I need you, and hurry brother, for I fear that they have returned."

Tir-Nnolgeth had been lying in wait, his form and followers hidden within the event horizon of the black hole. Most creatures would be destroyed by the gravity, but the Leth'hao were not only alive, they were revitalized. Now, the Empty King swam in lazy circles about the Starkindler, only the purple light of his eyes visible.

"It is right to be afraid, Light-Bringer. But this is not the time for fear. That comes later.", Nnolgeth chuckled, the sound like that of planets hurtling through space. He hadn't expected the Enemy to come join his Court for lunch, but now that she was here…

Come, children. Help me entertain our guest…", he commanded, and the Leth'hao rushed forth, claws drawn, Void swirling between their fingers. They would not torture her, but instead simply dance around, acting as though they were deciding how to best harm her.

Meanwhile, Nnolgeth spread his mind, finding the fragments of this star system and drawing them in, feeding the black hole their energy and mass, preparing a surprise for any other Starkindlers that would arrive.

Samantha
Samantha smiled when she saw Hannah come into the room, as Sarah had stared to brush the youngest Grimm's hair. She continued to sit snuggled in her sister's embrace and giggled when Hannah's stomach growled quite loudly. They all seemed to be in very good moods. "Well, I'm ready to leave whenever you two are. I'll just go get some of the cash for us to use." She said to them, Heading over to the large walk in closet they had where the money was being stored. Of course, it wasn't just any closet, Samantha had enchanted it so only her or her sisters could open it, and only the three of them would be able to actually see the money inside. Everyone else would just see an empty closet, but wouldn't even be able to open the door to it in the first place. She grabbed one of the stacks of bills and divided it into three piles before returning to her sisters, handing each of them share of the money to bring around town.

Roy
Roy was quite surprised at Valancy's words. No one had really ever reassured or comforted him before. He had expected her to calm him a killer or a criminal, but she didn't seem to judge him at all. Roy reluctantly looked at Valancy when she forced his chin forward. Once again her words shocked him. No one had ever accepted his powers or what he was, except Floyd who had tried to turn him into a killing machine.

He gave her a very grateful look, and nodded against her hand that still head his chin. "I understand, and thank you Valancy, no one has ever said anything like that to me." He said to her softly. He felt terrible now about the situation that he had put her in. He was determined now to protect her at all costs, Floyd would not harm her. It was time for him to finally put his powers to good use.

"I want to come with you. When you fight him next I want to help. He's here for me, and I should help you stop him." He told her. He didn't know if she'd agree, but he was determined to go after Floyd one way or another.
