Corinna Erastos-2,187 Yrs-Somewhere in Ur

New Neros wrote:The Mad King looked around his own technology room, one of many more around the complex, but this particular one more like a workshop than anything. However, his eyes trailed over the Spartan woman. Seeing her in this sort of light was rather...strange though. Something was tugging at Mad Max's physical and mental well-being, something primal and instinctive as well. He looked down. almost ashamed of himself - he was attracted to Corinna. Something about her admiration and appreciation of his inventions and devices, his nation, and even himself. He was conflicted, though, as this feeling was much the same he had for Valerie. However, he brushed them aside completely, and piped up as Corrina spoke to him.

"Ah, yes." He said, "Right around the corner." He said, gesturing for Corinna to follow as he left the room. True to his word, Mad Max rounded a corner and walked directly to a door - it sliding out of the way as he approached in a glorious fashion. Within the door was yet another series of doors, but these seemed more intricate and filled with technological buttons, lights, and such. The entire room was just those two doors, and he turned back to Corinna. "My Meditation Chamber. In here, I can simulate the effects of days passing by in mere minutes, even seconds if needed, as well increase and decrease gravity. It contains stores of my own energy reserves as well, meaning I can visualize past opponents and even conjure ones up for physical exercise."

Maxwell moved over the wall and placed his hand on it firmly, a control screen flipping around as he did so. "Three days, correct? We can be provided with all we need, or absolutely nothing should we choose." He further declared, pressing some more buttons briefly. "There we go. All set up and ready." He approached the twin doors and they too slid open, a bright white light and some fog emerging from within. "After you, my teacher."

I paced around the room as I finally entered the area in which we would be training. The large and rather clear room was empty of decorations or distractions. I gave a slight smirk as I took in the sight. Finally arming myself with a spear and shield in hand. I have never actually trained anyone in the ways of Spartan combat. As they say, there is a first for everything. As I prepared my weapons, I turned to him, wanting to give a final warning before we started. "This training will not be soft or kind, such is not the way of a Spartan. Injury is not a possibility, but a certainty." I stated as a matter of fact. "Spartan training was not known to be kind, and a focus on the regimen was to ignore pain." I continued to explain as I moved on to the topic. "Regardless, the fighting style of the traditional Spartan soldier, may be obsolete today, but it has its uses. I doubt you will be carrying a shield and spear into battle, and so you will instead be learning principles of Spartan fighting, rather than a strict teaching of Spartan Styles. Even my own combat style is altered heavily combing my abilities granted by the God's along with fighting techniques. Your's will be much the same. To focus you raw talents and teach you a fighting style that is raw power and brutal technique personified." I then raised my spear in his direction. "Well, then, arm yourself if you are prepared, King." I ordered, anxious to begin the first lesson.

But, I had caught a familiar glint in his eye, one that over the time I had become far too familiar with. The type of look in which one soul connects with another, and most would call such a look one of affection. But I know such a thing cannot exist between us, in fact, this is part of my curse in being immortal. Love, cannot exist for one such as I. Doomed as I am to see my friends, allies and lovers wither and waste away. "I do trust you know that it is best if we keep this, professional, as they say. I dont need to remind one such as you of the fool's quest of falling for one doomed to eternity." I then gave a sarcastic smile and shifted my hips ever slightly, in a unusually feminine body movement for myself. "Of course, eternity may may be very long if you are unable to provide a purpose worthy of a warrior as old as I." I giggled. But when the moment for a laugh passed, I returned to my stance.

"So, let us begin." I announced, as I immediately lounged forward and into the attack, thrusting the spear at what would seem like an effort to mortally wound my opponent.

Rebecca Phillips/The Jester-20 Yrs-Gotham City

I grinned sharply. "It is settled then, a PLAN! EXPLOSIONS! SCREAMS! CHAOS! LAUGHS!" I then rolled my head back as I howled with laughter as I gripped the cane in my hands. Then turned sharply to Queen. "Well, let us not delay, excitement awaits!" I tempted as I dashed off into the distance. Leaving the carnival behind, I could not help but notice how people began to actively avoid me on the sidewalks. I made a couple fake outs at a few people, where they would jump back on reflex and I would respond with wild laughter. "Every time I tell ya." I was making my way, with queen behind me rather oddly through the city, no real sense of direction, as I took odd turns which seemed to be random. But I knew exactly where we were going.

I passed by a few of the homeless of Gotham in a alley way huddled around a fire trying to stay warm at night. Taking a peek over in their direction I quipped off to Queen. "Do you see what I mean? The people of this city go along with their comfortable lives as if all is well. But the Bat does little to help these problems. All of this, everything that they believe their rules uphold, their precious laws..." I then placed my face in my hands. "Its all a monstrous gag, a demented joke. These people see through the illusion, but why are they not laughing? This city's people would not know a good joke if it bit them in the funny bone." I claimed. As I continued on down the path. Until passing a establishment in which caught my eye.

An animal shelter. The place was closed but, that has not stopped me recently. "Lets take a look at what is in here." I mentioned, as I smashed a window before allowing myself in. My steps sounded quite loud in the rather quiet building, but things soon livened up as the screeching and barking of various animals sounded, warning any security guard unlucky enough to be working this shift to my presence. But, as my eyes centered on one cage, I payed no mind to any of it.

"Oh Oh Oh, I have to have him!" I piped up as I skipped over to the cage, with a very depressed monkey inside. While every other animal barked away, the monkey remained rather silent, that is until I opened his cage, and he jumped at me, or I thought he did. Instead he targeted a security guard behind me with whom he assaulted mercilessly. I turned to look at the monkey with glee. But before the beast could harm the man fatally I moved over to him and shoved him in a large cage, in which he seemed to believe I had saved him.

But, the truth soon dawned on him as he heard the snarls of the lions behind him and the clank of me locking the cage. I then turned and shot a wink at Queen while the screams of the man being ripped apart by captured zoo animals behind me painted a great musical score. The now freed monkey rapidly climbing upon my shoulder as I showed him off.

"So, Queen, what do you say? Can I keep em?" I asked with a spark in my eye.

Hector Gage/Dragoon-28 Yrs-New York City

New York, I had not been here in a long time. It actually reminds me of Metropolis somewhat. In fact, I am surprised to be here at all. I walked the streets by myself, but I was not alone in the city. Michael and Melody were here as well, as I could not leave them alone in my home and I still need to speak to both of them. Walking down the sidewalk, I heard sounds of fighting in the distance. Having just left the twins at a tour guide before dismissing myself, I began to dash down the street as I moved myself closer to the sounds of the struggle. Embracing my Morphing Stone, my armor encased me as I flew off into the air, easily tracking down the source of the battle, seeing a group of three, two woman and a man take on a demon. Hovering nearby, I shot off two energy blasts at the demon or alien, whatever it was. Enough to make my presence known, but I withheld on actually saying anything for now. Needing to wrap this up so I can get back to the twins.

The Rebel Alliances wrote:-Corinna

A smile found it's way to Maxwell as he realized that Corinna understood the look he had given her and more or less, his feelings for her suddenly, and she was rather correct that it would best to be professional in this endeavor. Besides, what would Val think. He cursed himself for even having the thought, but oh, the minds of powerful men are too much the same. He nodded as she explained her combat style and manner of teaching, though, noticing that she was not very, well, good at being a teacher, yet anyways.

"Eternity means nothing if you find something you enjoy." He said quickly, before realizing all too late that the training had indeed begun, and his flight or fight response kicked in as a spear was thrust toward him. He ducked and stepped back, materializing a short-sword in his right hand and dropping his Absorption Shield completely - how else would he learn without the true pain associated with Spartan combat. However, it was not enough to dodge out of the spear's attack completely, but instead of a fatal wound, Mad Max was dealt a burning, stinging stab right below his shoulder, feeling the sharp point sink in just below his clavicle and dig in to his deep pectoral muscles. Still, with the momentum he had, the jab was brief but painful.

As he gained just a small amount of distance, the Mad King glanced slightly at his short sword and at his opponent, his mind working quickly and thinking of things within fractions of seconds. He now understood that a sword was useless with reach like a spear, even if Maxwell was built like a mountain and could slice trees in half with a single swing. It was pointless if he couldn't even reach the damn tree in the first place. Instantly, he flung his sword to the white ground and thought of a new weapon, which quickly materialized in his hand due to their training room. A spear, much like a boar spear but more similar to a Zulu Assegai, for some reason, perhaps for it's ability to be used in close combat as well as range. He raised it defensively before Corinna, though.

"I may not carry a shield into battle, but I might not forget a spear next time." He said with a smile, hiding the painful grimace of the spear wound in his shoulder as it began to drip with blood. It was his turn, or more likely, he took his opening and charged forward, moving at fairly decent speed for a man of his size and caliber, swinging and slashing his weapon as he came upon Corinna, driving it forward in one mighty step though, intent on death, just as she had promised.

"Alright then. If you're still here, I assume that you want to help." Alex said and the ship whirred to life. "Last chance. No one will think less of you. There's a good chance that we might not come back. After this point I am not responsible for your lives." He said firmly and the ship's warp drive blasted them off to Nightmare's last known location. Having been attending least a week since the last encounter, it was likely that he moved on. Or so was the theory. A few minutes later and the ship came to a halt over looking the now 6 planets rather than just one. However, there seemed to be an outstretched tendril trying to reach a seventh planet.

"Holy shit... He's been busy." Alex said in half awe half terror. The planets that Nightmare had taken were pretty much all black, minus the continent wide tendril holding it in place. He looked at the planet that Nightmare seemed to be having difficulty with. There were powerful people there. One was even far stronger than he was with several more capable of challenging him. Which actually gave him some hope. "Looks like we're not alone! Some people down there are giving Nightmare a hard time! Let's see if we can't help them out!" He said with actual confidence in his voice. Alex steered the ship a mile or so away from the battle. Not risking their way home. "Alright! Um... We need a battle cry. Someone work on that!" He said and charged when he hit the open air leaving a bright golden streak across the sky.

When he got to the battle. There were many people he recognized, and only one that he actually knew. Ronan the Accuser was helping Gladiator, Silver Surfer, Adam Warlock, and a few others all against what looked like faceless drones made of Darkness. Alex smiled flying into the ground and separated the drones from the group. "Hey Ronan. I'm back. And this time I brought a lots more friends! And information! Let's get this party started!"

Peter had quietly been on the ship since this whole thing started, taking a nap. As he slept, an odd dream came to him.

Peter was in what appeared to be an ancient temple, a dragon staring at him. Peter looked up in fear and awe, amazement and pure shock. He watched as the dragon looked him over.

"Peter Bennett." Shimian said simply, "You have come to me. You are an interesting one. I know why you are here."
"Wh-who are you, and how do kn-know my name?" Peter asked, shocked.
"I am Shimian, the Sleep Eater." Shimian replied, "I know your name because I am inside your dream, your mind. I can read your memories from here."
"My memories?" Peter asked, his eyes widening with realization.
"Yes. I know four years worth are blocked to you." Shimian continued, "And now is the time when you need them the most. So, now I shall open them for you."

Peter was back to his birthday, the last thing he remembered before losing four years. He hadn't blacked out, he had been escorted to a black van by government agents. They took him to a hidden facility, where he walked by... ALEX! It was there that he learned he was a mutant, whose malleable DNA allowed him to do something their other power replicator couldn't, replicate the abilities of the creations. He remembered the pain of the first ability he replicated after they split a gene into his DNA. He remembered it easy after his second, then being barely a tingle when he replicated the telekinesis.

He remembered them saying he was finally ready to replicate their prize creation, the Golden Guardian. They explained to him how his new ability worked, and what he would be able to do. The next part of the dream saw Alex escaping before he could get the DNA sample. The dream ended with him shaking hands with Alex in New Attilan, his hand glowing.

Peter awoke, his eyes glowing gold. He woke up just in time for the landing party, quickly flying down to the planet to help any way possible.

Seeing the bullets hit Spice and yet leave him seemingly unscathed, Garnet frowned, even more so than she had before. Surely the creature should at least have felt the massive spiritual damage, but alas, it seemed to be practically unaffected by her bullets, even though they had struck him down so easily the last time. She didn't let it get to her, though. If this volley hadn't put him down, then surely the next would, and if not, then the one after that. She did not intend to give up, and she did not intend to die while fighting these miserable creatures. They had much to pay for, and she would ensure that they would pay for it.

With this in mind, the blonde woman quickly formulated a plan. Seeing Spice charge towards Claudia, she decided to take this opportunity to make the demon pay for ignoring her. "Agony!" She shouted, instinctively calling the weapon's name, and quickly, in a flash of red light, the arcane gauntlet manifested on her left hand, granting her its power. With all of the speed that her mortal body allowed her, Garnet ran towards Claudia and Spice as the latter was about to attack her, preparing to intercept him, the gauntlet beginning to glow with a blood red aura. Taking advantage of Spice's proximity, she threw a fist at the demon, the gauntlet having charged up enough power to deliver a strike capable of leveling the whole building they were standing on, a strike that would be heralded by a burst of red light and hopefully cause some damage to the demon, if it hit.

After that, she noticed two blasts of energy be fired off towards a nearby demon, causing her to look back and notice a man standing there, clad in a strange armor. She didn't question it, not minding the fact that she seemed to have one more ally than she suspected, and so, she simply turned her attention back to the fight.

However, what she saw left her speechless. She wasn't quite sure what the hell had happened, but what she did know, was that everything had become much darker than it was, and that, in what moments earlier had been naught but empty space, there was now an enormous eastern dragon who spoke to the leader of the demons in a booming and ominous voice, offering to grant the demon two wishes. Her eyes went wider still when she understood that having a demon be granted his wishes was definitely not a good thing.

"Wha-what the hell is that thing?" She asked in a voice significantly quieter than usual, taking several steps back, away from the dragon.

As the ship started up, Jamal lowered himself down to face level of Lockjaw. "You should get back home to Attilan. Looks like I'll have to cash in that favor later." Lockjaw let out a disappointed whine and Jamal rubbed his head. "It's alright, I'll call you soon. We won't die." He stood up as the tuning fork on Lockjaw's head became surrounded by blue energy and the dog teleported away.

"Hm." Ruby grunted.

Jamal rose back up and turned to her. "What?"

"Nothing. It's just, you shouldn't make promises like that."

Jamal was about to ask what she meant by that when a line of six converging planets came into view. Given the pitch blackness enveloping the surface of the planets and the large tendrils pulling a seventh into the collection, Jamal figured that they had reached their destination. He immediately felt the energies of a group of powerful beings who were apparently already trying to stop this threat. One of the energy signatures was very familiar.

Jamal flew out of the ship after Alex, with D'Vorah flying behind and carrying Ruby in a sphere of energy. Upon reaching the surface, he saw plenty of well known faces, Silver Surfer, Ronan, Gladiator, and one that he has had personally met, Nova Prime (most commonly known simply as Nova). Jamal landed next to Nova and saw a grin form on his face.

"Jamal!" He called out, easily blasting through a drone like being without even looking. "It's been a while. Thought you were on vacation, or 'taking a break' rather." Nova raised his arms and trapped a couple of drones in gravity fields.

"Trust me when I say that it isn't something that was originally planned. Not that I'm complaining honestly, I was getting kind of anxious to see some real action again." Jamal clapped his hands together and the enemies captured in the gravity fields collapsed into one another. The fields merged and the enemies were swiftly crushed under the immense gravity contained within the field.

"Who's that?" Nova asked motioning at Ruby and D'Vorah, who were also engaging some of the drones. "What, you got yourself a harem?" He joked.

Jamal chuckled. "Seriously bro? You're one to talk."

Augustin Gediminid/White Prince

No theme because nobody cares

Augustin's personal jet did not take that long to travel across the entirety of Europe and, surprisingly, land safely in Sochi, near the Caucasus mountains. It's surprising because the Republic has been heavily militarizing lately and constantly searching for any possible threats against them, likely even going at war with the European Union soon (It's ironic when you think about it - the EU supported the republican rebels in order to take down a long enemy of theirs). An unknown jet flying through their territory would be pretty suspicious, obviously, but luckily, nothing happened. The plane landed in a small airfield right near the Black Sea coast, already swarmed with dozens of armed supporters waiting for the Prince to arrive.

He was probably their only hope this time. They needed a cunning and brave leader to take down the oppressive regime that they themselves have created. And it's not going to be as easy as last time. A significant portion of the populace still sides with the republicans, especially after the land grab from the confiscated and given away royal and noble lands to the serfs and farmers. The army is as strong as ever. The regime has instituted a service by requirement law, and the armed forces, now taking up over 15 percent of the nation's GDP, has been increased and updated massively. Even with a leader, they'll need support, people and luck just to win.

It's almost as bad as with the Communist rebels in China, and that went... great for them. So there is hope.

The jet's main door slowly opened and was immediately surrounded by an organized group of armed soldiers. They stood in a line, creating a path for the person, and they did. Augustin firmly walked out of the plane and took a large breath of air. That's his homeland all right. Well, his actual birthplace was a few thousand kilometers away, but back then, he loved this place. It's a nice summer resort. Much like today, the sun usually shines brightly and warmly, and the sea is great for swimming.

"Welcome home, Prince Augustin." A small, elderly man in a trenchcoat, standing at the end of the line, spoke in Lithuanian, rather nicely and with no accent. "All these years, we hoped that you'll return, and we see that our wish is granted." The Prince remembered this person. It was one of his father's most trusted generals and military advisors, Boyar Vytautas Kerbedis. He no longer has the title due to the recent developments in the country, but still keeps his name and is proud of his heritage. It seems that the events and the revolutions did not change his stance towards the monarchy in any way - he's still the self-centered and conservative pedant he always was. But still a fine man and a great military leader, even at his old age of 61.

"Yes, I just had to wait for the right opportunity." Augustin responded calmly. Vytautas simply nodded and replied:

"You are still the bright and clever mind you've been when you left, Augustin. I know that you've already put your skills to good use."

"Is going to alien planets and creating a massive fortune good enough for you, sir?" Augustin smiled.

"Of course, young lad. We have a lot to do right now, though. The people are waiting for you as we speak."

Gotham
Len El

Len El was surprised. The people in front of him were quick to escaped from his vicinity. He looked to his behind and to down below, where police have mostly been there and aiming their guns at him. On the other hand, in front of him sounds of steps were heard. He has to decides what to do. After much contemplations, he turned his back to the front of him, now with facing to the sky. He stepped few steps, and running forward, eventually flew from the place.

Whew, so much for being a hero. Like Superman. He needs to looks for a place to stay, yesterday he crashed at some kind of bed store, but that place probably in construction. So he landed at a dark alley, and then walked around the corner, arrived at an animal shelter. The place was closed. He did had adapted to the culture of Earth so he knew few things. He contemplates whether or not to enter the place, you know, to stay there. A shelter must has security officers, so maybe they have a bed or something, and a food and drink.

What he just realized is that the window was smashed.

"What the...? Someone inside?"

Claudia was about to be hit when she was suddenly saved by Garnet. She nodded in thanks to the woman for saving her before she was kicked by the demon. Then concentrated on the demon once more. Regardless if he was hurt very much by the attack, Claudia began to gather her energies into a very large ball of fire. She then hurled it at the demon, it's bright flames burning with heat and intensity. She smiled at her handiwork for a moment, not able to see the results of her attack, but then she was distracted with the giant dragon.

"I have no idea... It looks like a giant... dragon." She spoke. She paused, panting as her giant fireball had drained quite a hit of her reserves."Wait... wish granting... crap... that's not good."

Garlic Junior:

"You who have awakened the Dragon, will be granted two wishes. Choose whatever you desire."

Finally finding his voice, a grin appearing across his face, Garlic raised his hands in excitement once more.

"Great Dragon! I wish to be the most powerful being in the universe!"

The beast coiled back slightly, his huge red eyes glowing, before it made a small, growling sound.

"That wish is beyond my power," it rumbled back.

Immediately Garlic's eyes widened in horror. The Dragon had a limitation on what it could grant? But it'd made him immortal before! That was impossible! His heart was rushing still, though now his lungs were desperately searching for air as he tried to keep himself from panic. He could sense Hiroshi. At most he only had minutes to spare before the Saiyan arrived. If he got there now, without what he needed, Garlic would be doomed.

He needed to think. He needed time.

"Mustard! Take fifteen warriors and go obstruct, Hiroshi!" Garlic barked, his eyes widened still with panic.

"But Lord Garlic-"

"NOW!"

It was simple. Either Mustard would die by Hiroshis hands, or his. The Monarch would do his duty, and he would have time to sort out how to deal with the Dragon.

Immediately turning about, Garlic looked up at the Dragon.

"Shenron! I demand that you increase my power to its fullest extent! Multiply it as far as you possibly can!"

With its eyes once more glowing, Shenron rumbled in the air before beginning to unleash his wish upon him, and the world. A dark red aura brimmed around the tiny blue demon as he felt his body infused with new power. Then the pain of such growth, so rapidly, fell upon him. Within a few of his rapid heartbeats, Garlic roared into the air, reborn for the second time in his existence with the help of the Eternal Dragon. Looking down at his hands he felt the power course through his veins, but the cold truth was still not hidden from him. It still wasn't enough.

It wasn't enough. Even if he threw all of his power at Hiroshi as he was, it would only halt the Saiyan for a moment before he was overwhelmed. The Dragon had stretched itself to the limits of his power to even give him this increase, it would not be able to give him anymore. Immortality could only be so useful, and it would be completely without use in the wake of the Saiyans rage, beyond prolonging his own suffering to an undetermined length.

Looking nervously in the sky, flashes of light, and the booms of combat echoed. Vegeta would land here, and vanquish him and his allies.

"If you are done wishing, you could just wish for me to go away and be done with it!"

Shenron looked impatient, and irritable, and the demon wanted nothing more for the beast to cease complaining and help him figure out what to wish for. He couldn't let everything unravel now, not when he was so close to victory. All he needed to do was find out what to wish for. Make Hiroshi weaker? That could be an excellent idea, except he could already feel Claudia and that other women across the planet making their way there as well. The Dragon was unlikely to make all three of them pathetic, just for him. That would need three wishes, and he only had one.

"Lord Garlic, I think-" Vinegar tried to cut into his thoughts, and for his trouble Garlic cast him a hateful glance.

"Quiet! I need to think!"

"Think faster," Shenron complained. "Make up your mind."

"None of this would be happening if that cursed Saiyan hadn't blown up the Makyo Star!" Garlic seethed.

If he had the Makyo Star, his power would multiple to the point where he could crush them , and anyone else-

The Makyo Star. He could wish it back! That would give him all the power he needed! Then with that-... Hiroshi had destroyed the Makyo Star before, and would obviously do so again if he discovered the nature of his power. But then how could he resolve all of this? The key was somehow multiplying his power, without asking the Dragon to just make him more powerful.

There was another boom in the sky, and Garlic turned his head, only to watch Spice hit the ground in front of him, quivering and burnt. Looking up, Garlic only saw a flash of energy before the last of the minions he'd sent to stall the Halfling disappeared. Twisting his head towards the Dragon, Garlic knew what to wish for.

"Dragon! Grant me-"

Hiroshi:

Golden flames snapped violently in the air as he rocketed towards the dragon. The minion shad been rather disappointing in stature, the Golden warrior having craved through them, yet they'd continued to come at them, like sheep to the slaughter, until he'd ripped off ones arm and preceded to strangle him with it. Now they looked on in quaking fear as he blasted by them.

Glancing below at the gathered demons, he could see Garlic, the pathetically small demon quaking with fear before him. The Super Saiyan grinned wickedly at him, golden flames ablaze around his form.

Backing away, Garlic hardly blinked before Hiroshi was before him. Bloody fingers gripping his throat with deadly strength.

"Tell me, Demon. Are you afraid?"

Looking frightfully back at him, the tiny monster looked up at the dragon a second later, as if waiting for something.

"It shall be done!"

Narrowing his eyes, the Saiyan saw the grin immediately appear on the immortal's face, before he looked back at him. Even with his fingers around his throat, the blue tinted demon seemed to not care in the slightest.

Something changed in the air. Where his aura had been overwhelming dominant a second earlier, suddenly there was power pushing against it. A red energy briefly seemed to be circling around Garlic as well, before humming around his frame. When it ceased, there was still a strange sense of energy in the air.

"No, Hiroshi, I'm not afraid at all," he shot back at him. "But you should be."

Hiroshi almost had to cover his ears. Blood curdling screams echoing out across the barren landscape. Demons of every size, shape and color writhed in the dirt, hues of blood red, black and Violet, surrounding their thrashing bodies.

"Ha! Your rather cocky for a weakling. And you don't have your minions this time either, even they seem terrified of me. As you should be you waste of time."

Hiroshi sneered, pulling back a hand, azure energy swirling in it like water, growling he prepared to unleash it. But then he felt the dams burst. Auras flourished all around them, red, black, and purple all seemed to catch fire in the air around them as the screams of the demons became overwhelming. The world began to become a spinning swirl of color, and he felt almost overwhelmed.

"You see Hiroshi," Garlic said, his voice deepening as every word came out. "The energy from our home star, increases our power the closer are to it."

His fingers found the neck he once grabbed, impossible to hold as it thickened, before finally the power broke not only in front of him, but all around him. An immense power blasted him back , sending his feet sliding against the stone of the castle. The castle itself was shaking to pieces, as it felt like the whole Earth was.

Stumbling back surprised, Hiroshi cursed, unleashing a torrent of power to clear the dust away and keep the sneering demons gathering around him at bay. Turning back to Garlic, he began to stride forward, flaring energy to flex his muscle at the gathered plebeians.

And then Garlic's frame exploded into a hulking monster, his power expanding along with it. Minutes ago, Garlic couldn't have dreamed to harm him. Seconds ago, Garlic could have annoyed him. Now? Garlic's power rivaled his own. Garlic's minions power were maddening as well, spiking higher and higher themselves. It took all he had not to quake before the combined power before him.

"I asked the Dragon to let my body emit the same energy the Makyo Star once did. And given the proximity, my subjects and I are receiving more power than the Star could ever provide for us."

Rising all around him almost in a wave, the Halfling saw bulging demons, all of them vastly improved. None of them were a match for him individually, but they were an ocean of power together, and with the giant blue brute at their fore, Hiroshi felt himself step back in awe at what he was seeing. The lieutenant he'd burnt half to death even rose, his own body huge and imposing, and his energy and body restored.

"I told you Saiyan," Ginger breathed. "I would have a hand in your death."

Before he could make another move, Garlic thrust his now massive, dark blue hand out, and so did his army.

"Go to Hell, Hiroshi ."

The light that appeared a second later was overwhelming. It was like the world had disappeared around him, and had only been replaced by light and noise. The fabric of his Gi caught fire as he stood in the ray of light. He felt the forcewave of the energy roll over him, pushing his skin back as it burned. Bits of skin flicked off of his face before burning away in the energy surrounding him. He was utterly lost, unable to know if he was standing, or if he was moving. The edge of his hair caught fire as well as he felt his muscles almost beginning to disintegrate in the wave. Raising his arms in a desperate bid, he threw all of his power forward, attempting to funnel the energy around him, then the shockwave hit.

In the light, sliding helplessly back, direction less, tumbling helplessly without any sense, Hiroshi could only feel one thing, and it wasn't even pain.

It was Failure

Hybridia
Vladivostok, Russian Federation

It is a snowy night, Naya is sitting in a cafe, ordering for some drink. This was a quiet night, a very quiet night, only a few people walking down the streets. Something is not right.

Suddenly, the question answered, 1 block away some one eyed monster are wrecking havok to the city. Naya know these monsters, her father told her that when her mother was killed, these monster are the one that defeat her father. She remember the boss of this creatures, something with the name Dor Ma Mu, if not false.

However there is only 3 Monsters in this attack, and Dormammu presence are nowhere to be found. But they are enough to cause a lot of panic.

A hero need to stop them, and Naya are the only hero there, Hybridia armor are flying from the sky, and wrapping Naya's body, showing what we know as the hero Hybridia.

Hybridia charges to one monster, the monster was caught off guard and was brought down by a close range plasma beam, another one suddenly shot laser eye to Hybridia. Hybridia use her gravity power to deflect the monster attack, reversing it into the third monster, knocking it down.

It's now one on one, Hybridia use her plasma beam on the monster but deflected by its laser ray. She then use her gravity power to restrain the monster, it was successful but the monster also land a laser on Hybridia, Hybridia was knocked down for some second but she eventually stand back andand knocked out that monster by drop a great rock on it.

Mindless One, that was the name of the monsters, but something was still strange. Mindless One was a mindless creature, and they must be controlled by someone to came to the earth, but no one was seen on this place, there is no dormammu nor mephisto around.

Some people came to Hybridia and cheer her name. Even before this Hybridia is already famous in this place, she have stopped a lot of villains in this place, from HYDRA, Atlanteans, and even Vampires. But Mindless One in this place is a new thing. Hybridia have fight Mindless Ones before, in USA, England, and France, but never Russia.

Well it is a later problem, Hybridia then fly away from the location and get back to her base. Other part if the city are actually calm, no thug around. Night is going darker and Naya already in her tower preparing to rest.

Gladiator paused for a moment watching as the human champions threw themselves at the drones of Nightmare. "Ronan, these are the people you spoke so highly of?"

"Despite the history between the Humans and the Kree, he was more than willing to go in alone to try to take the threat on himself. He failed, but promised he would come back with more champions and he would be more powerful than ever." He said keeping his balances as the thuds from Alex's blows shook the ground. "It appears that he wasn't bluffing."

"I don't bluff. That much!" Alex shouted and blasted a beam that incinerated a group of the drones. "Man, the last time I fought these guys, they gave me a hard time. But I get things done, and holy crap is that THE Silver Surfer?! Like the actual Ex-Herald of Galactus?" Alex asked and flew right in front of him. "I'm a huge fan. I mean, how often does Galactus let his heralds go and KEEP their power?"

"I do not have the time to explain why you are wrong. When we are finished, we can talk. You spoke of information about this creature. What is it and how do we destroy it?"

"It's a cosmic weapon slash god killer created on Earth-" To which Alex was cut off by the Surfer having an Of course it's from Earth look on his face. "-That went rogue and... Yeah. I'm pretty sure you can fill in the rest with your imagination." Alex explained.

"Out of the MYRIAD of things wrong with your world, how and why would they create something like this? We have been fighting for days." Surfer asked ever so slightly annoyed that Earth was involved. Again. "How could they a, no offense, primitive race, create such a being like this? I cannot even begin to fathom that this isn't true."

"I know the people who created it. Most are either dead, hiding, or completely indifferent to the situation. As for how we destroy it... Um. Blow it up? I really don't know. They never gave me a straight answer."

Outworlder surveyed the situation, quickly calculating the best course of action. He dashed toward the drones and slammed into them, using his body like a wrecking ball of distruction. His body roiled and morphed into a thousand different shapes, whipping tentacles and shooting spikes of bone in every direction. A giant blob of green and gore waded through the conflict with terrifying efficiency. These were not living beings after all. There was no need to hold back. He rose higher with a sickening roar. Pods began sprouting from its skin, and after a few seconds burst with a squelch. From these pods came a hoarde of alien creatures , each designed to rip the shrouds of darkness to shreds. These would be his pawns. As he continued to expand his army, he added more heavy infantry into the mix to support the front lines. He always loved to use his creativity when making these creatures, for he always felt so alive when he could do something only he and his master knew how to do.

A wave of fresh soldiers of darkness collided with his underlings, and the savage beasts began devouring them one by one. He could see a slight give in the line on his right flank. Outworlder glowed with energy, and gestured his tendrils toward the area, and with a screech grabbed a hundred of them on that side. They levitated upward in confusion, then came slamming back down to the ground with hundreds of tons of force, causing them to disintegrate into bits of dark sandlike material. With a strike to the ground Outworlder sent a line of ginormous thorn like spines across the ground as it cracked the ground.

He floated up towards the group of people Alex had spoken to, quickly assuming a more definitive form. "I hope that is of a bit of assistance. I did not take as much time as I should have in the designing stage."

To say Mason was enjoying himself would be an understatement. He was not simply enjoying himself, he was having the time of his life. His mind was already processing the Silver Surfer's powers, but at a slower rate than most, as it was more difficult for his mind to replicate more advanced powers. Either way, it didn't really matter. He was slamming through drone after drone with ruthless efficiency, as each one of them held power on a level far below his.

Three approached him from the front, each of which fired dark beams with red specks of energy surrounding them. Mason disappeared, moving several times faster than light, appeared directly behind the drones and throwing a side sweeping kick which demolished all three. Now, a group of five descended on his position, throwing incredibly fast punches at Mason in perfect unison. However, they were easy to dodge, and as they all began to throw a punch at the same spot, Mason leapt into the air, allowing them all to hit each other, before carpet bombing the ground with a barrage of blasts.

As he noticed Alex talking with their "allies", Mason flew over, fighting off some drones on the way, "How many of these drones have to die before Nightmare shows up? I mean, I'm all for slaughtering minions, but it's gonna get old soon.", he said, firing a blast at a group of drones before speaking to the rest of the group around Alex, "By the way, my name is Mason, made by the same people as Alex. However, unlike him, I don't have a famous reputation for killing space tyrants. Yet."

Peter had been experimenting with his new powers, fighting through the drones. He looked around at all the supers, knowing he'd need a DNA sample of all of them. That's when he noticed Mason and the others. Quickly, he flew over to converse with them and hopefully make a plan. His eyes were still glowing, hunger engulfing him. He had to learn some new abilities, but he also knew that this wasn't as important as the matter at hand.

"Good news, I finally got my memory back." he said to Alex and Mason as he landed, then to the others, "The name's Peter."

He looked over at the drones, then at the others here.

"Pardon me Alex. But I do believe there are minions of Nightmare to be destroyed." Thane said switch to Scorn and unleashing a massive wave of bright purple flame which incinerated the drones. "When we have finished, perhaps then would be a better time to converse." Thane was right. It annoyed Alex because of how often he was.

"Good point." Alex replied and after what seemed like a minute of the drones being slaughtered, they actually seemed to stop coming. "That was easy. Come on Nightmare! Is that the best you got?! We can do this for as long as we have to." A phrase which Alex would quickly regret as a massive cloud of darkness filled the sky and a rather frail looking man about average size for a human descended. His only noticeable features being his unblinking red eyes.

What do we have here? Ah, the prodigal son returns. With Friends. Nightmare spoke Telepathically to the group. How many people are you going to get killed trying to stop me? He asked. You think destroying those drones means something? No. They are simply constructs. But since you wish for something far more difficult? By all means I will oblige. He said and raised a hand. Darkness swirled on the ground in front of the heroes, about 2 feet in diameter each. Out of the ground rose perfect recreations of every one of the heroes that had arrived to fight. Make no mistake, they are every bit as powerful as you all are. Have fun!

Peter flew next to Alex as the things appeared.

"They are as powerful as us, but they can't be as intelligent as us." he said, "Maybe they share our weaknesses, and if they do, then we can exploit them."

Elias

Elias was on the eighth Energem, having recovered the others. He was currently near the jungles of Africa, where the Pachycephalosaurus Energy Gem was calling from. He was nearing, and he could feel it.

"Agreed." Outworlder mused. He eyed the dark copy of himself with an almost self-rightious indignation. How dare he create something so abominable? How dare he corrupt the sacred form that Waiyäv had created as sacred? "Does anyone happen to have any major exploitable weaknesses? Don't be shy, or we might all die." He chuckled softly. "Hey! I rhymed."

"Wanna bet?" Alex's duplicate asked with a sadistic grin. Both Alex and the fraud flew at eachother and upon slamming into eachother, were thrown back. Alex's duplicate was back on it's feet a second or so before it. "Not half bad." And almost perfectly in sync with each other they fired their heat vision which met halfway in a beam struggle. Both increased the intensity. Alex was thinking about how to beat him. Then it hit him, the idea that is. His heat vision is his stored solar energy. The duplicate, having just being made, would not have as much stored. In theory at the very least. Alex weakened his slowly. "Running out of gas already?" His doppelganger asked. "I've still got plenty left!"

Alex stopped his own heat vision and shot into the sky. "Come on. You can't hit me with heat vision." Alex taunted. This aggravated the Doppelganger and he unleashed a huge wave of heat at max power. Alex put up a shield to withstand the blast. Come on you bastard... Burn it all off. He muttered and noticed that the power was weakening. He then broke free of the shield, and flew directly at his doppelganger and smashed him into the crust of the planet sending them deep into the planet so he couldn't recharge. "He was right. You're not as smart as the original." Alex smirked and punched the man into an underground cave.

Intrigued by the battle between Alex and his doppelgänger, Lúxvälik-Taerr barely noticed his own before it came up on top of him. He barely dodged the first physical blow, then was sent reeling as the second one connected. It seemed that this Nightmare was not bluffing when he said it would be just a strong as them. Outworlder saw the copy of himself come hurtling towards him in a swirling mass of destruction. He released a telekinetic pulse that slammed into his doppelgänger and sent it flying away. The two collided with a boom that shook the ground. As they held each other in place, he felt the others mind reach into his, seeking to wrest his sanity from him. For once someone could attack his mind without going insane. He sparred psychically with it for a few moments, then sprouted a spine from his midsection, stabbing his clone and breaking their stand still. As he flung it away once more, Outworlder began to think. "Hmmm... I do wonder..." Outworlder said aloud.

He sensed a static feild nearby, possibly created by the vast amounts of energy being displaced by the conflict. He was about to act when he felt an unseen hand grab hold of him, and he felt crushing forces exploding on his form, which struggled under the weight. He had done this trick hundreds of times before, and now he wondered at the irony of it being used on him now. Pain courses through every fiber of his being, but to Lúxvälik-Taerr, it was simply another sensation on the skin, one to aid in addressing his damages. He agains saw the field as the hand clamped tighter. Reaching out with his mind, he jostled the energies around once more. Out of the spot came an arch of lightning, which he guided towards his foe with a calculated precision. The rival being shuddered as its nervous system was stunned. Now he had his chance

He attacked with swiftness and might, combining hand to hand fighting techniques from hundreds of different worlds and hindreds of body types, which he morphed between like a flicker of movement and change. He was more of a blur than an object, and slowly his superior intellect allowed him to overwhelm his inferior. As it began to buckle beneath his blows, he went in for the final attack, he drove the knife of his mind deep into his foe, who in weakness flailed his mind frantically. It tried to do more damage to him, but he quickly reached the central part of his thoughts, and with one clean stroke destroyed one concept in its brain: the thought that it was alive. It suddenly stopped, motionless. It's body began to deteriorate as it believed in all truth that it was dead. The Outworlder scoffed at the pathetic vegetable of a creature. "Blasphemous Atrocity. You deserve a worse Fate than this."

Claudia's voice could be heard as she knelt down with one knee to the ground next to the shaken Hiroshi. "Hey. You awake there?" She asked. Her eyes widened, checking his pulse. "You're not dead at least..." She muttered and then sighed in relief. She tried lifting him, though he was pretty heavy considering his muscle mass. She grunted as she did so, trying not to drop him. She dearly hoped that Garlic and his demon warriors or whatever didn't come back. She knew she couldn't stand against them. It was a possibility one of them would though, which she was concerned about.

Mad Max Morningstar
What Lies Below

The battle rages onward as the war comes to not exactly a climax, but a turning point. The Mad King has deployed his ever-loyal legions and his robotic forces into deep chasms below Ur as the realm of science and magic slowly become blurred. Subterranea is a land like no other on the surface, and down here, only the strong survive and flourish, while the weak are oppressed and made to do the strong's bidding. However, none are aiding the weak as the Mole King and the Mad King come to blows in a chess game with the lives of innocents as pieces. Perhaps Maxwell could claim a higher moral ground by using robot soldiers, but they are unthinking and without purpose other than destruction. War machines, nothing more. Still, Maxwell has established several forward operating bases below Ur as he prepares to press for more underground territory against the Mole King.

"Grace, they are collapsing tunnels in an effort to divert our forces down singular paths - most likely traps or ambushes." An officer would report, his crude map full of marks, circles, lines and the like to denote what was what.

"Collapse the tunnels they plan on us going down, dig out the ones they collapsed. Make new excavations here, here and here." Maxwell said with distinction, marking the areas he wanted new tunnels in. "They will be able to hear the construction, but our speed will be our advantage. They cannot mobilize enough materials and men in time to counter our advance." He further declared, the combat-ready officer nodding in agreement, swiftly moving off to execute the orders of the sovereign of Ur and continue the war effort. However, the actual advancement in the war came through in the form of a telepathic response from an agent deep in the caverns.

"Master Morningstar, I have located Mr. Elder's throne room of sorts." A distant echo within the mind of the Maxbot stated in a raspy voice. The true heroes of the Subterranean War - spies, scouts, and undercover operatives. Like in any war, it was the secrets, the lies, the espionage and underhanded tactics that took home victories. The time of honor, valor, and the like was far dead by centuries even, and Mad Max was no fool. Plus, he'd jump at the opportunity to quickly and effectively end this war by taking out it's progenitor - Mole Man.

"Send me the visual and the coordinates for it." Maxwell replied, "I'll send a team down. Then..."

"...Then I'll go in on my own."

Finally finding his voice, a grin appearing across his face, Garlic raised his hands in excitement once more.

"Great Dragon! I wish to be the most powerful being in the universe!"

The beast coiled back slightly, his huge red eyes glowing, before it made a small, growling sound.

Everything hurt.

He didn't need to give his body a once over to realize the extent of the damage that had been done. He'd felt everything just catch fire. His muscles almost disintegrated beneath the ungodly assault. Garlic had left, chuckling and challenging him to come fight him once more. If that little blue shit wanted a fight, that's what he'd get, and then some. Immortality was just some trinket from the dragon, Hiroshi'd put that to the test when he fought this fucker again, and Garlic better hope this Zenkai wasn't as big as Hiroshi hoped it would.

Claudia, that hit girl form earlier landed next to him, inspecting the injured Saiyan. Turning his head slowly, he almost cringed at the bolts of pain that ripped through him.

"Does my hair look bad?" He managed to croak out, a half smile struggling to form on his injured features.
What don't you understand? I CAN'T DIE!
As if that gives you an excuse to live.
