So, I have the Saxon...

The Saxon is an ancient being, something of a mystical connection between the Gods of Old and the modern world. He carries the Two Ravens of Woden with him. He is something of a parasitic being, something that inhabits a person, or persons. The last person the Saxon inhabited was Sir Francis Drake. Shortly before he died he ordered the drum to be taken to Buckland Abbey, where it still is today, and vowed that if England was ever in danger someone was to beat the drum and he would return to defend the country.

A lowly Brownie, a house-spirit, has guarded the drum for centuries, ringing it in time of need. The Brownie saw the planet appear, and began beating a special tune on Drake's Drum, this one summoning the Saxon. The Saxon knew that he would have to take more than just a single body to help with this, so he called forth some of the most powerful beings he could find:
Elias, Rinshi, Owlman, Shimian (maybe Vision X as well).

Giving them the choice to remain separate or to join together as the Saxon, he was pleased when they all agreed to combine into his new host. Now, the Saxon is ready to fight, channeling the powers of the ancient gods of the Anglo-Saxon peoples.

Most of the "bragging" is exactly fanboy-like statements that are meant to be taken at face value. "Mad Max solos" and "Doom stomps with prep" are about the same in a general discussion/argument - little to nothing of actual information or worth. You don't think I understand that peeps can vs my character? That he is not infallible? That we can't have fun-time wanks with Alex, Rabbit Girl, Mad Max, and all of our cast? You insult me, and belittle me as if I am a know-nothing or inept at what I create and what I do. Let's go ahead of dig into what me and Atria have been discussing with our little Mad King:

A lot of Max's history is not really known or public knowledge. Why? Because he's secretive. Why? Because he has a problem. A legitimate problem and requires psychiatric help to remedy and prevents him from living a normal life. In the simplest terms, Max is Ephebophile, which defined even further, is a pedophile attracted to mainly the age group of 14-18 years old. This is not exclusive to females or males, he has no preference, but he contains himself through his iron-clad willpower alone. He doesn't want people to see into his mind because of his perversion, he doesn't want people to know his past because of his handicap (among other things like father issues), and helps explain why he has Val as a companion against his better judgement.

So no, Maxwell isn't some almighty character-god who can solo anyone he feels like because I said so. He's a person with problems that he handles on his own, and for the most part, next to no one knows of his deviancy until it gets revealed in a future arc with Atria. His powers can be drained if he uses them too much and can't absorb more, like in say, space, for instance. You trying to blow this shit out of proportions, chill, nothing is wrong, you're just thinking that we're all dead serious about our characters 24/7.

I've been told I have a dry sense of humor so I probably am. I tend to look at everything from way to many angles and perspectives, and I could see how you could take someone like Max and easily turn him that way if someone happened to get a crazy need to do so. His power set just gives him room to become this universe sucking God so you know. Plus if taken as a factual statement some could be crazy and I couldn't tell if you were serious or not. Not trying to troll or whatnot, just getting a good impression of what's going on. I feel like I'm that guy everyone hates for not getting a joke.

And what the actual fudge nuggets this guys personality is like a living soap opera

Another spoiler: Mad Max becomes a not only a universe sucking God, but a multiverse and even omniverse sucking God during the Ragnarok War Saga. At its conclusion, he gets nerfed. Hard. So, I guess you can say I lied - Mad Max does end up soloing everyone, and winning, but in his short moment of victory, the one thing that led him down that path is rectified and the entire saga becomes non-canon. The timeline goes back to how it should be prior to the Ragnarok War, Max gets stripped of his endless drainage potential, and his mind is supposed to forget the entire war (that is the only thing that he manages to keep).

You guys think he's a Gary Stu, well fuck that, he's getting mentally buttfucked until he's nothing more than a emotional gimp. There's an achilles heel for ya, dangle a tight young teen body in front of him and watch the iron-willed giant squirm. That far enough from Gary Stu material for you all?

Ah, Daud, my first successful character. He had the power to adapt to any damage he received or when faced with a survival pressure - one that can easily be broken much the same way Max's Energy Absorption is. Daud was...complicated as a hero. He wanted to be the best and help as much as he could, but caught up in the wrong hands, did the wrong things, got framed for enacting a genocide on the Kryptonian race. He was the epitome of an anti-hero and served as the stark contrast to Daniel Carter - the man Daud could never be.

Rebel, dude who played Daniel, said it best in the IC at one point when he had Danny compare himself to Daud. Daniel saw that Daud didn't turn himself into a hero, but a soldier for justice instead. It really spoke to me so much that someone else connected with Daud enough to get a feel for exactly what I was trying to portray him as - a well-intentioned extremist. He was Gary Stu for a while...until the thoughts of his dead friends and parents started to creep up on him, massacring a race (again, unintentionally) including several of his friends and allies, and started to break him. He eventually married one of the Kryptonians who perished after he and Daniel rescued her from Hell itself in the best team-up ever witnessed.

It's ok if you do a personal arc like that or something; there is really no reason why we can say that's bad. There have been way to many recons and non canon time warp insanities going on in comics to say so. It's just when in the actual inter-character relations and arcs that such behavior is bad. If I wanted to temporarily make Outworlder omnipotent I could do that so long as it was temporary and did not effect the other arcs. Btw, dont take it so personally. Its been a long day, I've had to deal with so many stupid people it's ridiculous, I've been standing up doing work for hours and it's like 1:00 right now where I am. I'm gonna rant.

Oh no, it was more along the lines of Daud having built this cannon that would seed Earth with microscopic particles of Kryptonite - enough to depower the invaders and slowly erode over time once we figure out what to do with these normal Kryptonians. Excellent idea, nonlethal and very awesome for all. Loki teamed up with Lex Luthor and switched out the Kryptonite to be used for the seeding at the last minute with a far more powerful dosage, with Loki enchanting it to absurd levels because Kryptonians ain't got shit against magic. Daud fires this cannon thinking it would depower the Kryptonians...only to see them all begin to choke to death. The purpose of doing this was because prior to this, Infinite Justice split into two factions: IJ Remnants and the Ultra Corps with a single difference in mind: The Ultra Corps was authorized to kill villains if they felt the need, so their motivation was to drive IJ and UC into a massive war. They succeeded extremely well and played Daud like a violin.

Alright man, but don't talk down to me. That's the quickest way to get my jimmies rustled and to throw me into a flame war. I take it personal as fuck when you decide to belittle me.
