Wins ton nodded "It appears we have reached an agreement then, I may also ask that an Irish Volunteer regiment be incorporated into the British Army and we will require men to serve in the Irish Guards as well." Churchill said, frowning slightly "It's a shame it took deaths of this to happen though. I do believe this is a new beginning then, I ask you to join something new I have formulated of what I call 'The Commonwealth of Nations'' for nations who speak English and share a common history to join"

From: Prime Minister of Burma and Chairman of the
Burma Socialist Programme Party General Ne Win

Honorable Marquess of Linlithgow. we wish for peace between our nations. I've decided to write you this letter as simply a recommendation, we here in the Burma Socialist Programme Party would like you to lessen your control over India, Pakistan, Ceylon, Bangladesh and the Assam and Nagaland states. Your government has had done some horrific atrocities in the past so it would seem necessary to grant the independence they so greatly desired.

Sincerely, Prime Minister of Burma and Chairman of the

I do not intend nor does the Britsh Empire intend to lessen its control over the nations of India and Pakistan, we will not be lectured or told what to do by a Socialist State that views themselves of importance enough to challenge the British of their control of British Raj!

Speech before Buenos Aires

Postby Augusticinia » Sun Mar 15, 2015 7:19 pm

Buenos Aires

Roberto Maria Ortiz looked down upon a sea of Argentinians. He said,"We have arranged a meeting with the British in Montevideo. I assure you we will get what is rightfully ours." An eruption of cheers came from the crowd of Argentinians. Then Ortiz said," We will also leave the Infamous Decade and go into an age of economic prosperity." The crowd erupted again even louder than before. Ortiz soon silenced them. "Though we must remain neutral in this conflict that is coming about this Earth. We will continue ties with Germany, but we must not support the Fascist and Nazi views of Germany in our country. Though we will begin to slowly mobilize as necessary if this becomes a global crisis." Ortiz ended his speech by saying," Argentina, En union y Libertad!"

FOREIGN MINISTRY FOR THE GLORIOUS EMPIRE OF JAPAN, ALSO REPRESENTING THE REGENCY STATE OF KOREA AND THE TAIWAN FREE STATE

ADDRESSED TO THE HONOURABLE PRIME MINISTER OF THAILAND

Sir,

A trade agreement would be without a doubt valuable for both of our nations. We require, as ever, markets for our industrial products, and you require trade for your agriculture. Together, then, we can usher in prosperity for our peoples. The Empire will institute a no-tariff policy with Thailand.

However, we must also discuss equally serious matters.

During times like these with the Australian imperialists gathering their forces and Russia preparing to fight further wars of expansion, we of Asia must band together in the name of common history and shared ideals. We therefore pledge our immediate and permanent support to the Kingdom of Thailand. Should the Australians invade the East Indies as they plan to do, Japan fully expects to create a counter-attack which will bring back the glories of our old war against the Russians in 1905. Our full armed military might is with you, and we hereby pledge to defend Asia.

We may also be able to make an offer which may be of interest to you. Our country initially planned to lay down a series of powerful new battleships, and several were partially constructed. However, the Naval Ministry has since then changed its priorities to construction of new aircraft and industrial areas. As a result, the funds required to complete the project have disappeared. Thailand, however, may well be in need of heavier naval vessels. Would the Thai Navy be interested in procuring several extremely high-grade battleships which are likely to be completed within the year?

With thanks,

Foreign Minister Yosuke Matsuoka

Thailand's reply:

OFFICIAL TELEGRAM FROM THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND

To: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Empire of Japan
Subject: Reply to Sent Telegram

Greetings,
We greatly appreciate your acceptance of our trade offers, and we will also implement a no-tariff policy with the Empire of Japan. We are certainly sure the prosperity of our people will be guaranteed because of this.

The Kingdom of Thailand has long-eyed Australia's intentions of invading all of Southeast Asia, and we are once again grateful of your commitments to protect this region from their tyrannical influence. With Japan and Thailand guarding Asia along with our European friends; the British and French, Australia would not stand a chance to invade.

As for your offers of high-grade battleships, we are certainly interested in such heavier military vessels. Once the construction of the battleships are completed, we will send our Royal Navy representatives to inspect and choose what ships that could benefit Thailand in the long-run. Again, we are grateful of your offers and we hope to do more business in the future. Thank you.

Kind Regards,

December 14, 1939 (Occ: I'm just going to say that this is the date)

With the war in Finland predicted to end by the years end Army Group D is order out of St.Petersburg at heads northeast towards the Karelian State border. Mean while to the south Army Group J, a mostly "green" army group, readies itself in the Cascades.

Finland
Army group C pushes its way towards Helsinki, Finland's capital with the aim to end this war with its capture. Just after taking the small town of Kotka with next to no causalities thanks to a Gangut class battleship which laid down heavy fire on to the town, the Russian army is aloud to rest.

In light of this disturbing news of mass starvation in the socialist Slovakian republic, I would like to diplomatically annex socialist Slovakian republic, If this cannot be done, the kingdom of Hungary shall save the starving Slovakian people by force to regain status as a global power, and to save lives. If the Slovakians care for their people they will surrender their land and their responsibility to their people. If I must declare war... I will request the aid of Russia and my other alliance members. Please help my kingdom save lives!

Finland
A message was sent ahead of AG-C to Helsinki
Treaty of Vyborg
We have both lost men in this war and for want? At first I was angered by this unprovoked invasion of Russian soil, but now I can see that the blood of young men, women, and even children are on our hands. Now I wish to change our natural hostilities towards each to a more fruitful friendship. So please consider and accept the following terms.
Finland takes blame for the war
Finland pays for the damage it has caused- thorough credit or resources
Finland and Russia sign a non-aggression pact
Russia and Finland return to original borders- so no land gained or lost on each side
Russia and Finland will not go to war with each others allies- unless impossible to avoid

We would also like if you accepted an alliance with Russia. If there is any complaints or needed changes to the treaty please let me know.

Bulgaria
On the night of December 24th, 1939 at 22:45 the Bulgarian 1st battalion (which contains 30,000 infantry and a large number of Russian T-27’s and T-28’s) launches a sudden and swift blitz into their norther neighbor, Romanian. This plan has been in the planing for the past month waiting for a time to strike and to reclaim their lost homelands, and it was set off for Christmas eve when a major part of the Romania army will be at home with their families. Thanks to almost all of Romania’s army being at home, the 1st gotten across the border without being spotted. Within only 15 miles of Bucharest where they spotted by civilians (which of course more or less freaked out) but it was to late at 01:11 the 1st rushed into Bucharest and occupied it with little to no resistance. Meanwhile the small Bulgarian Navy attacked and destroyed a large number of the Romanian navy at Constanta, thanks to the surprise attack and most men not even being at station.

Now that his war with Turkey was over, the Hatay state properly annexed, and the Turkish bureaucracy under Syrian's total control; Al-Zaim had to start to plan for the 5th Pan-Arabic Congress.
The place were it'll be held was supposed to be choose randomly between all of the Pan-Arabic's member capital but, like most of the thing concerning the Pan-Arabic Confederation, it was in fact only a Syrian decision.
Since the 15 last year he had made a lot to renovate the whole Syria and especially Damas where he destroyed half the city in order to make bigger avenue, destroy the slum and created cadastres of the City but it was now time for the whole world to see the magnificence of the oldest town in the world and to be sure that the 10 Year Anniversary of the creation of the Pan-Arabic Confederation went as smoothly as possible.
Al-Zaim had already prepared the course of the discussion for the congress and the subjects to avoid, and he expected it to be a perfect puppet show which'll show once again to the world the Syrian's power and serve his desires; but the major problem he encountered with the congress was it's lack of recognization in the Western world, and he was still thinking about what he can do to remedy to that when he eventually tought of a solution.
He quickly went to his desk and wrote a letter.

To: Winston Churchill
From: Housni Al-Zaim
I present to you my deeply respect and I humbly ask if you desire join us as the english delegate in the Pan-Arabic Congress.
This request may seem a little odd considering your country was a former oppressor of the Arabs people, but you're now view by us as no less than one of our brothers and the ties between us are as strong as blood's one; your presence here, in Damas, will show it to the whole world.
And, even if you'll not be the only western country present during this event, your help to the Pan-Arabic cause'll give you the right and honor to be represented and be part of the discuss as any of the Arabic contry can and not only a simple auditor of the debate.
I hope you'll response favourably; your faithfully, Al-Zaim.

I would be honoured to attend your conference, putting Britain back on the world stage after the Irish Troubles will show that little can stand in our way or against us and it will teach our enemies that the British people and her dependencies can march through even the worst of things thrown at her.

Signed
Winston Churchill

House of Commons

Churchill stood before the seated MPs, holding an Act in his hands. He took his customary puff of cigar before speaking:

"Respective MPs, I return to you a changed man! The leader of the 'IRA' was no more than a sheep in wolf's clothing, he is barely out of childhood and yet he shows strength of character to stand up to an overwhelming force and still remain standing! I bring before you the culmination of the Mann Conference, it details the withdrawal of British troops from the South of Ireland and their repositioning in the county of Ulster which, due to its Protestant and British heritage, shall remain part of the British Empire and guarded against the Irish Army. Yes, I said Irish Army as they, following the passing of this Act, will become a nation independent of Britain although the North shall remain in British control! I wish you to know the repositioning of British troops has already begun over the past two weeks of my journey back" he said, followed by a standing ovation from the MPs.

Dublin, Ireland

The day was cold but there was a cheerful atmosphere all around the new freestate but there was almost certainly to be future troubles if the north wasn't reclaimed and fast, the IRA had officially become the army of the freestate. The government was drawing up plans for an invasion of the north in secret of course. Charlie Kerrins had been elected the fist president of Ireland and he was preparing to deliver a speech
"People of Ireland, North and South I thank you for your support all throughout these tremulous years of fighting and revolution but I am here to congratulate you all on the successful defeat of the British hierarchy in Ireland it is due to the peoples stead fast courage and the British lack of will to fight in a conflict against better men." The crowd began shouting and clapping.

To: Argentinian Government
From: The Irish Republic
Greeting, We in the government of the newly established freestate know as the republic of Ireland wish you the best of luck in your endeavor's to reclaim what is yours we give you this advice in you quest, Sometimes its best if a government armory or two are raided by masked radicals whom wish to eliminate the British squatters on your land. To Montevideo

Postby Augusticinia » Tue Mar 17, 2015 3:56 pm

Argentinian-Uruguayan Border

President Ortiz sat in a lavish train in deep thought. He thought about meeting with Churchill in Montivideo. He was nervous that he would let down the Argentinian people if they conldn't get the Falkland Islands back. He gazed outside looking at the rolling countryside when an idea came to him. He walked over to one of his advisors. He said,"Silvio, send a highly encrypted telegram to Berlin and London when we get to Montevideo." Ortiz walked back to a large table wondering whether neutrality in this war could last. After all war could be used as leverage to create ties with other nations. Ortiz soon wrote out what he wanted to be sent in the telegrams. He felt the evertightening force of the allies and axis closing on him. Then he realized he had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Britain to conduct.

Message to London: Highly Encripted
From: Montevideo, Roberto Maria Ortiz (President of Argentina)
To: London, Winston Churchill

I wish to meet in the city square of Montevideo to discuss matters over the Falkland Islands. I would also like to discuss Argentina's possible joining of the allies. If we can work out a succesful agreement we can help in the Pacific and Atlantic. I hope we can meet in Montevideo

Message to Berlin: Highly Encripted
From: Montevideo, Roberto Maria Ortiz (President of Argentina)
To: Berlin, Adolf Hitler

We are currently meeting with the British. If negotiations to not go as planned we may join the axis. Though we will not support Nazi views. If we can create an economic agreement we will join and help in the Pacific and Atlantic. Please contact back if you wish us to join the Axis.

Churchill sat on the steam ship travelling to Montevideo to discuss matters over the ownership of the Falkland Islands, a nation with a population that would much rather be British than Argentinian yet Churchill had to attend this meeting in the name of diplomacy. That didn't mean he came unprepared. Traveling. Alongside him were two ships with a total of 5,000 men ready to defend the Falklands should the talks break down and Argentina attempt to forcefully take the Islands. With the troops were a number of cruisers, battleships, destroyers, submarines and an aircraft carrier all of which were prepared to fight. Churchill himself hoped that an agreement could be reached so this pointless bickering could come to an end and then he could focus on more important things.

Treaty of Montevideo

Postby Augusticinia » Tue Mar 17, 2015 4:24 pm

Montevideo

Ortiz sat in the city square of Montevideo waiting for Churchill. He slowly composed a possible agreement that would benefit both nations. In his first draft it stated:
Treaty of Montevideo

1. The Falkland Islands would be given to Argentina

2. Trade would begin between Britain and Argentina

3. Argentina would join the Allies in the Pacific and help guard the Atlantic Ocean with its Navy

As the Steamship neared Montevideo, the Falklands Defence Force peeled away from the small ship and headed towards the Falkland Islands and was ordered to set up defensive positions immediatly. Churchill stood at the prow, smoking a cigar and knowing full well that the Argentines would more than likely demand the Falkland Islands from Britain and the Argentians probably more than knew the answer.

Congress of the Soviets
Kropotkin Maa, Karelian Free State

Niilo Wälläri stepped into the small cylindrical hall and was immediately greeted by applause. Ever since his election a few months earlier, he had no longer seen the point in such frivolous customs. He worried constantly; about the syndicalists refusing to switch their factories to arms manufacture; the Marxists refusing to join the International that he'd called; and above all, the threat of Russian invasion. "These people know little of the danger we live in. They're mewling infants too sheltered to realize how precarious of a situation the revolution faces." He observed.

He clambered up onto the dingy podium and waved his hand for silence. "As you all know, revolution entails counter-revolution." Some of the delegates nodded agreement. "We're facing the reaction now. The Russians seek to destroy us; to reinstate the exploitation that we struggled to be free from." There was an uneasy silence. "I've tried to avoid this issue, hoping that it would resolve itself. This is no longer possible. We must take direct-action! Our armed forces are a shamble, industry is degenerating, and he peasants toil all day and evening for naught but bread! Democracy is vital, this we know; however, desperate times call for desperate measures! I propose negotiations with the powers of Europe in order to guarantee the survival of the result of what we shed blood for. We need allies; the Russians are barking at the door. Revolutions are not born in rosewater! All who stand with me, say aye!"

There was a resounding reply of shouts of "Aye!", and later on, roars of "Long live the Revolution! Long live the deathless ideal!". Almost without order, the diplomatic office began drafting up a telegram to the Kingdom of Sweden.

Peoples' Telegrams
To: Kingdom of Sweden
From: Karelian Free State

Salutations, brethren. As you know well enough, our new commonwealth is being pressured by the Russians and they seemingly want to destroy what we've created. We have long had enmity, but we must unite in the face of adversity! The Russians seek to extend their reign over the entire Baltic, including your grand nation. We call on you, our brothers in arms, to help defend against these horrid conquerors.

A secret response is sent in turn:

"It would take nothing save the surrender of a thing which you have never had and which we cherish. It is an intangible thing, but can shake mountains. It is a thing which cannot always easily be seen, and when it is seen many do no recognize it. This thing which we speak of is foreign to some, but quite at home here. It is elusive, illusive, and the only thing that is truly worth having in this world when all else will some day disappear.

We refer, of course, to honour, colonialist scum."

In light of this declaration of aggression against an innocent Asian nation which has never offended any other country, the Imperial Japanese Army is placed on combat alert and a fleet is prepared to eventually sail against the Australians and wreck their efforts should an offensive actually take place.

Romania
What was left of the shambled Romania army regrouped out side their capital which was currently held by Bulgarian Forces. Most of the Romania soldiers didn't even have their uniforms let alone their weapons, most had old family hunting rifles and such. With out any any armor support or air support and still startled from being awoken in the middle of the night they committed a last ditch charge towards their own capital...most never made.

After that reply, Australia decided it would be better to wait and see if war broke out between China and Japan before making any moves. If China went to war with Japan, the Japanese would be stretched thin and wouldn't be able to defend Indonesia.

The hopes of an Australian empire weren't dead though... The backup plan was to invade Madagascar as soon as the French went to war and then start kicking French forces out of a loosely defended Africa and taking the colonies for themselves.

In response to Australian aggression, the British Empire has formerly announced the creation of the British Pacific Fleet where it will be used to secure British colonies and interests in the region while preventing conflict. Its vessels are four battleships, two aircraft carriers, fifteen smaller aircraft carriers, eleven cruisers, and numerous smaller warships, submarines, and support vessels. Its first assignment is to deter the Fascist Australian Navy from launching attacks against the Dutch East Indies (OOC: Indonesia) and British troops have been mobilised to defend it if necessary.
