I would like drop ships better just because it would allow conversation before the operation begins and it limits infrastructure damage. (Im guessing these pods are exceeding Mach 5 while there in the atmosphere so that would put more than a Pot hole into the ground.

Well, when we go with pods, we can either have Halo ODST-style pods, or CoD:AW-style pods.

You know what claustrophobia is, right? I don't think my character would even be eligible for the job if he had a panic attack every time he was sent on a mission while being inserted. Or practicing being inserted.

I don't think he would like seeing the big Flames out side the windows from re-entry (If there are windows) either.
