Rail gun = artillery on a railway carriage.
Railgun = weapon that uses magnets and electricity to propel a metal slug. Same thing as a coilgun but those have their magnets wrap around the barrel like a coil. Also known as a Gauss gun.

The idea sort of reminds me of an idea I once had, about some sort of EU taskforce (because no standard 'Murican Mah-reens that way) investigating paranormal shit.

Kinda when the only difference is a space and your mostly thinking of the Railgun when this is a Sci-Fi idea.

You could always call it a Coilgun or a Gauss gun.

I was thinking of a mix of both.

You will have a list depending on something, and then you can pick your weapon.

With all the RPing I've done with Nek, I've come to realize that the best way to get the most out of his RPing is by letting him go wherever his imagination takes him. Thus far, I've always been satisfied with the results (not to mention nearly dying of laughter every single fucking time). He sent his ideas for the char over to me, and holy hell is it going to be hilarious.
