Would it be safe to write the Silent Hill group returning to the Building without being attacked on the way or anything?

Well, it's been the longest Easter of my life because of the 7-hour flight across the Atlantic. The KLM flight attendants passed out little chocolate eggs and stuff as we were flying over Greenland. It looks like a desert, but with snow.

Welcome back. It's a fresh day in the IC and all your characters are asleep (parked in bed).

To make things easy:

PICK YOUR CHARACTER'S INTEREST
These stories will be the backdrop for character activities. They won't be active all the time. For example, we don't currently have any wounded but we could use magical characters input for setting things up to work for them at the Observatory. Some things will overlap, naturally: covert ops would tie in to the Underground. Please give your character some purpose so they're not just sitting around spamming up the IC with "what do you want to do today?" stuff.

• Public Works: Septimus (Agy) (Also running unopposed for Market District Rep) HQ is Bran's shop.
• Festivals: Minerva (me); Katys's heavily involved as well (they'll also use Bran's shop).
• Healers/Caregivers: Adrastus and the Observatory (Cer)
• Underground: The Brisbys (me)
• Outreach Mission: Adrisal (TNEL) - this group is mixed with the Brisbys to brainstorm
• Covert Ops: Klaus (Cer)

RECAP

• The NMJM and the USiPo are the same organization
• The USiPo is a branch of law enforcement that deals with everything that ordinary police forces can not tackle. They protect the community from supernatural harm, assist supernatural beings that are injured, and keep a close watch on supernatural activity in the city and nation of Bielefeld
• The USiPo have a few traitors in their midst. These traitors are working to draw agents to their side. Their motive isn't clear yet, but they seem to A) spirit people away for no reason, and B) use supernaturals as a means to fuel public fears
• There are citizen vigilante groups that roam the city looking for supernaturals to prey upon
• Discrimination against "abhumans" is becoming a problem. Abhumans are being targeted. Many are trying to flee the city. The Underground is assisting them. Entire families are displaced due to discrimination and persecution by their mundane neighbors
• There are some people and groups looking out for everyone's well-being. This includes the Conservators, the Guild, Klaus, Minerva and her Lads, and a few others
• The Building is a sanctuary and it's best not to bring outside elements in.
• The cultists in the USiPo are potent beings capable of wild magic.

OOC RECAP

• PLEASE do not start up a story without alerting Cer or a CoOP first. Your story might be affected by the current situation
• Non-violence is key. Keep that in mind when posting your character's activities (unless they're on a mission)
• If your character is NOT at the meeting, they can still participate by picking something that interests them. Have that character visit with the person in charge of that group.
• Players can still free form however: please give characters something to do. Character development happens best when characters are involved in action rather than just sitting around. John wants to grow closer to his family. He achieves that by working beside them on a similar purpose. Mary and Gary are hoping to form a romantic relationship. They'll fall into one if they're given some challenges that require them to trust each other, to help each other, or even to quarrel with each other. Conflict always builds character

A little more detail for Swith:

Players have expressed an interest in exploring. Coordinate with Slo and Tilt if you want to be part of their group. Otherwise, form up your own group. I'll be the one describing what they encounter, so please try to keep your characters grouped together so I'm not overworked.

Sandy is interested in doing these things while exploring:

• Looking for magical/alchemical supplies and knowledge. He's going to visit Fushigi's, and I'm going to handwave that he got a few other contacts from an NPC I made up at Chaos (because it worked IC, and it seemed Chaos should have such a person anyway).
• Looking for ley lines, like Adrastus mentioned.
• Trying to make contact with other sorcerers, which I've decided is done by looking for and leaving magical grafitti. (Swith, I have examples in mind of what Sandy's looking for.)

I wasn't planning on sending Amanda exploring, but I will if given a suitable IC reason she'd go.

What do other folks want to do while exploring?

In addition to Sandy, Adri, Katya, and Cherry are going:

Adri would be interested in scouting out places to construct her mission whilst Elka would be looking for landmarks that could be used as inspiration for art.

Katya perked up a little. "It'll be fun to go in a group. While we're out, I could buy some violin strings, too. It'll be a good day.", She said. "I should really get out more, too. It's terrible to stay inside all day, and I don't have any other plans besides maybe drinking tonight. Let's get going!"

@Min, what will Cherry want to do?

I rolled Ye Old Dee-10, and got two other places for Sandy to look for magical/alchemical stuff. Based on Cer's previous suggestion, I'll put one of them Downtown and the other waaay out in the industrial area, but I'll leave the details up to Swith.

Since Adri is looking for a building, I expect we'll be on foot a lot around each of the three stores Sandy will visit. This also works well with Sandy looking for ley lines and interesting messages left by other sorcerers.

We can either take public transit or Sandy and Amanda's jeep between those three areas. It doesn't matter to me. The jeep is safer from prying eyes, but public transit will likely give us more ... RPing opportunities (interactions with Bielefielders), assuming we want them. Swith mentions (via IRC) that Main Street and the two streets nearest the beach are closed to private vehicles, so we'll miss some stuff along them if we drive. We can also walk, which gives us more exploring and more interactions.

Edit: We're going to explore the Market District, because my making up an NPC shouldn't have happened. Oops.
