I'm not sure how much you've been told about our biggest dispute -- the fate of the Ottomans --, but could you tell me what your initial feelings are about my proposal for a compromise on it are?

This is my proposal for a compromised partition; if there are any things wrong, let me know. If something isn't on the map, it is because I ran out of colors. Lighter colors = spheres of influence. To try to ensure that the Ottomans are roleplayed more realistically, I will claim them in the aftermath of the war (a period in which there will be a civil war).

Well lets see, historically we had an Ottoman revolt in Egypt that killed a Mameluke Sultan, there's the last year of the latest Russo-Turkish War (1768 - 1774), If you want to go off-kilter there's the Annexation of Crimea (the first one) that the Ottomans historically didn't stop Yekaterina Alexeevna from doing back in 1762 (lasting until 1796 so there's wiggle room here actually).

Mind you Imperium Ottomania was rather militarily weak in this period, though it was by no means the Sickly Man it would be referred to in 1913 yet.

Let me stare at this map you've got though... Honestly at the moment it seems fairly well off, the loss of Greece is moreso a boon than a problem, the Greeks always caused little more than a thorn in the Ottoman side, better off without them bogging down the empire with rebellions, they still stretch up into Europa so it works out.

In theory if the Ottomans strengthen their army and bureaucracy (which Mustafa III was trying to do historically) they could easily go back to being the Terror of Europa.

As to destroying them in one single war? Not at this point in history is it possible.

Thank you, that's what I wanted to know. Have to say I'm pretty surprised that the Ottomans would possibly become stronger; although, with my plans for an Ottoman civil war, that could be negated.

Alright, so, behind the scenes we've come to an agreement; when the war ends, I will not be playing the Ottomans; we will probably incorporate some of my ideas into it (up to discretion and provided no one else comes in to claim it). To clear up any possible distrust (regarding Quendi's post earlier), I was not pressured to give them up; I offered it because I was more interested in another nation (the app for which will be posted for shortly). As this was our biggest dispute, I presume we can get things rolling again. Cheers!
