Walter was surprised when Ella suddenly hugged him but he hugged her back tightly, blushing a little. "I missed you too Ella. I thought about you all summer." He told her sincerely. He shook his head when she apologized, "Dont worry about it, I understand. You needed some space is all. We're still best friends. That hasnt changed." He assured her. When she pulled away he noticed some of her books on the ground that she quickly piled back into her bag. He noticed that he didn't recognize some of them. He had no idea what they were. Still, he didn't think much of it. Ella was very intelligent and was usually reading complicated books about magic that were beyond his knowledge. "So, you wanna go find a compartment? I'm sure everyone else from last year is excited to see you."

Kevin sorta just had a passive opinion about everything. He departed his parents, walked into the station, and headed onto the train without much thought on the whole thing. He just wanted to get to the school and begin the year, not thinking about silly, pointless things like how awesome the train station supposedly was or the train itself. They were just things. They didn't matter. What mattered was getting to the school and seeing what house he would end up in. That was all that he cared about. He slipped into a random compartment, not caring either way if it was empty or not, and sat down.

Soon someone came to the door and approached them. It was a pretty blonde girl around their age, with a big smile on her face. "Hey guys, I missed you all summer!" She said to them, sitting across from them. Jacob smiled brightly, "Lucy, it's great to see you!" He told his friend. A small blonde cat soon followed Lucy and hopped up on Pandora's lap and rested contently. "It seems like Lilly missed you too." Lucy smiled at Pandora.
As Damian was sitting with his friends he glanced at Isobelle and thought she seemed lonely even though she was with her siblings. He decided to get up and introduce himself. "Hi, my name's Damian." He said when he reached her. "It's nice to meet you. What's your name." He asked her with a smile.

Sam, better known as "Horntail" by his peers, passed through platform Nine and Three Quarters without incident holding the hand of his little sister, Phoebe.
The tall, arrogant fifth year was known for his foul-mouth and his abusive behavior, but he swore to himself that he would mend his ways. Or at least, try to. Naturally, he had developed a knack of being argumentative and rude, and it was absolutely hilarious, to him. But as he looked down at his wide-eyed, energetic and enthusiastic sister, brimming with energy and passion, he knew that what he was doing simply had to stop. He couldn't afford to let her see him at his worst. So, if anything, he'd have to be cautious when it came to bashing on others.
"Phoebs," he breathed to his sister, as they approached the Hogwarts Express. "I think we should...er, split up now."
"Why?" Phoebe asked, anxiously, "I want to sit with you, Sammy."
"Yeah...well..." Sam scratched the back of his head anxiously. "I don't know if that's a good idea. It'll be important for you to make friends on the train, and all. And all of my friends are too old for you. Just...just trust me. Kay?"
Phoebe looked as though she might argue for a moment, but then, deciding to trust her brother's judgement, nodded and was taken up in a deep and intimate hug.
"I love you Phoebe," Sam squeezed his little sister, "Take care of yourself. I'll see you at Hogwarts."
"Ow, ow ow!" Phoebe complained. "Sammy, you're hurting me! Stop!"
Sam Lyons
Sam put his little sister down, and ran onto the Hogwarts Express without hesitation. Sam was rather dismayed to find that his friends were nowhere to be seen. Little did he know that most had been pulled out of the school following the recent Hogsmeade attacks. Colton, Blair and Timotheus were either studying abroad, or being homeschooled. They had neglected to inform him, or rather, couldn't; not with the hyped up security between borders.
Sam trooped into a random apartment, the apartment that Lilya and Mark now occupied, and didn't say a word before shutting the down behind himself. They seemed to be having a developed conversation. He couldn't really tell. All the same, he smiled with his prize-winning, infectious smile, and took a seat. He didn't recognize the girl, but she looked about their age.
A transfer? Sam wondered.
He recognized Mark well enough, though, and greeted him warmly.
"Hey Mark. " Sam respected and quite liked the guy; a fellow Hufflepuff fourth year, as well as a fellow smart-mouth. Very good combination.
Sam then turned to Lilya, and waved. "I don't recognize you," he began. "You must be new here? I'm Sam."
Phoebe Lyons
Phoebe was left idling on the platform, without any inkling of an idea what to do, how to do it, or why. She was a rather shy first year girl, and was left all alone on the platform.
Well, she thought, I should probably...get on the train.
She was navigating the train, when she bumped into Cyrus, dropping all of her books.
"Oh no!" she whispered, "I'm sorry about that," she nervously gathered her books. She had several; she was a well read and intelligent girl. "I didn't mean to do that. I'm sorry...."

Its beautiful tan scaly skin, striped with gold, contrasted with the bright yellow underbelly, its hood expanded, its black beady eyes looked pointedly ahead; the Indian Cobra was staring with what felt like interest at the sooty girl from before.
The girl bore some kind of ungraceful lump on her chest under her dirty robes. It twitched and tried to move, making the dark cloth flow over it, then seemed to decide against drawing more attention to itself and stayed still. Cyrus suspected it was her pet, a kind of edible pet that Rani would like to get to know better.
If not for the presence of Caleb, Cyrus would have carried on his search for a compartment to share with his potential friend - whose name he noted to ask for later.
“Hello Caleb, Rani,” he greeted and smiled at the other two girls, one of whom he did not recognise, who looked like she was distancing herself from Sooty Girl. “I’m glad I found you here, I was lost on this train.”

Phoebe stared at Rebecca silently for several moments, noting the antique gaming device in her fingers. Phoebe, herself, had owned a few Nintendo game systems at home, which now probably lay collecting dust. She had never really been one for video games, to be sure, but she heard the all-too familiar beep and buzz of a gaming device.
"I-is that a game-boy?" she piped up, suddenly. "I have one of those, too. Though I was told by my brother, Sammy, that they don't work under large concentrations of magical energy. Electronics don't, in general. That's what I was told, at least." Phoebe suddenly blushed.
Samu "Horntail" Lyons
"Hey Mark," Sam replied in kind. Noting that Lilya wasn't really in the mood to respond, he awkwardly stepped out of the compartment. "I'll see you at school, perhaps, Mark. Have fun with your new...uh, girlfriend," he teased, before backing out.
He passed through the corridor where fellow students greeted him. "Hey Horntail," they would wave. A few of his common victims, small, spineless Slyhterins sneered as he passed, and he responded in kind, lunging at them, laughing as they loomed against the walls. He adored having that kind of impact on others.
Finally, in abandon, he flung open the nearest door, not really giving a damn who was sitting or not, and plopped down across from Agatha.
I know her, I think. Sam thought. Maggie, I think? Aggie? Agatha? Something like that. Eh, it doesn't matter. My friends don't seem to be here anymore, so I might as well as make the best of a pretty crummy situation.
"Hey Agatha," he said, simply in an inviting tone. "You're a Gryffindor, right?"
