Walter
Walter was surprised when Ella suddenly hugged him but he hugged her back tightly, blushing a little. "I missed you too Ella. I thought about you all summer." He told her sincerely. He shook his head when she apologized, "Dont worry about it, I understand. You needed some space is all. We're still best friends. That hasnt changed." He assured her. When she pulled away he noticed some of her books on the ground that she quickly piled back into her bag. He noticed that he didn't recognize some of them. He had no idea what they were. Still, he didn't think much of it. Ella was very intelligent and was usually reading complicated books about magic that were beyond his knowledge. "So, you wanna go find a compartment? I'm sure everyone else from last year is excited to see you."

Steve decided that he was probably better off finding someone else to talk to and decided to get on the train and find a compartment before all the window seats were taken.

Pandora was getting bored and couldn't wait for the dessert trolley to come around. Well until then she brought some emergency sweets and so she pulled out her burlap bag and popped a particularly squirmy Chocolate Frog into her mouth and laid back. Meanwhile Isobelle took out a sandwich that her mother had packed for her and started chewing thoughtfully.

Jacob couldn't help but laugh as he watched Pandora wrestle with a chocolate frog she unwrapped. He was well away that his girlfriend loved sweets. Soon someone came to the door and approached them. It was a pretty blonde girl around their age, with a big smile on her face. "Hey guys, I missed you all summer!" She said to them, sitting across from them. Jacob smiled brightly, "Lucy, it's great to see you!" He told his friend. A small blonde cat soon followed Lucy and hopped up on Pandora's lap and rested contently. "It seems like Lilly missed you too." Lucy smiled at Pandora.
As Damian was sitting with his friends he glanced at Isobelle and thought she seemed lonely even though she was with her siblings. He decided to get up and introduce himself. "Hi, my name's Damian." He said when he reached her. "It's nice to meet you. What's your name." He asked her with a smile.

Kevin sorta just had a passive opinion about everything. He departed his parents, walked into the station, and headed onto the train without much thought on the whole thing. He just wanted to get to the school and begin the year, not thinking about silly, pointless things like how awesome the train station supposedly was or the train itself. They were just things. They didn't matter. What mattered was getting to the school and seeing what house he would end up in. That was all that he cared about. He slipped into a random compartment, not caring either way if it was empty or not, and sat down.

Steven McGanigan
Steve walked past Kevin's compartment and, seeing an empty seat, poked his head in. "Umm..hey. Do you mind if I come in?" He then walked in and sat down without waiting for a response. "My name's Steve. What's yours? Are you a first year? Which House do you want?" He cut himself off suddenly. "I'm sorry. Sometimes I ramble a bit. I don't mean to, I just sort of don't stop talking. THere's just so much to say, you know? Everything just running around my head. Oh, I'm doing it again. Sorry!" He stopped talking for a moment, giving Kevin a chance to respond.

Edvard de Vaux-Grieg

Edvard de Vaux-Grieg slipped into one compartment after another due to the fact that most were already full. On one occasion he even considered inflicting an unforgivable curse upon someone occupying a seat he wanted but in the end. Nevertheless, he finally found an empty seat to sit and waved goodbye to his parents from the window. At first he took out a Muggle book but he reasoned that would not attract any females so instead he pulled out a very large and old book titled The Dark Arts & the Defence Against Them: Limited Edition; Hogwarts was not particularly keen on teaching the Dark Arts and instead focused solely on the defence against them but Edvard had previously attended Durmstrang Institute and things were very...different there.

In between Theodore and Margaret, Isobelle was reading her book until she saw the boy from earlier walk over to her and her face turned bright red when he asked her her name. She was quiet for a long time, struggling for it until she spoke. "Isobelle..R...Isobell Ravenscroft, that's my name." she said quietly, clutching onto her cat.

Lucy smiled at Pandora, "I missed you a lot this summer. England is super boring with out you." She grinned at her friend. Lilly purred contently in Pandora's lap as she was pet. "You two seems happy to see each other too." Lucy grinned playfully at Jacob and Pandora.
Damian was a little confused at Isobelle's silence, wondering if he said something to offend her. He waited patiently though until she finally spoke, in a very quite tone. He realized how shy she really was. He flashed her a smile again, "Well its nice to meet you Isobelle. That's a pretty name. You know I have a few friends with me in my compartment, would you like to join us?" He asked kindly.

Sam and Phoebe Lyons

Sam, better known as "Horntail" by his peers, passed through platform Nine and Three Quarters without incident holding the hand of his little sister, Phoebe.

The tall, arrogant fifth year was known for his foul-mouth and his abusive behavior, but he swore to himself that he would mend his ways. Or at least, try to. Naturally, he had developed a knack of being argumentative and rude, and it was absolutely hilarious, to him. But as he looked down at his wide-eyed, energetic and enthusiastic sister, brimming with energy and passion, he knew that what he was doing simply had to stop. He couldn't afford to let her see him at his worst. So, if anything, he'd have to be cautious when it came to bashing on others.

"Phoebs," he breathed to his sister, as they approached the Hogwarts Express. "I think we should...er, split up now."

"Why?" Phoebe asked, anxiously, "I want to sit with you, Sammy."

"Yeah...well..." Sam scratched the back of his head anxiously. "I don't know if that's a good idea. It'll be important for you to make friends on the train, and all. And all of my friends are too old for you. Just...just trust me. Kay?"

Phoebe looked as though she might argue for a moment, but then, deciding to trust her brother's judgement, nodded and was taken up in a deep and intimate hug.

"I love you Phoebe," Sam squeezed his little sister, "Take care of yourself. I'll see you at Hogwarts."

"Ow, ow ow!" Phoebe complained. "Sammy, you're hurting me! Stop!"

Sam Lyons

Sam put his little sister down, and ran onto the Hogwarts Express without hesitation. Sam was rather dismayed to find that his friends were nowhere to be seen. Little did he know that most had been pulled out of the school following the recent Hogsmeade attacks. Colton, Blair and Timotheus were either studying abroad, or being homeschooled. They had neglected to inform him, or rather, couldn't; not with the hyped up security between borders.

Sam trooped into a random apartment, the apartment that Lilya and Mark now occupied, and didn't say a word before shutting the down behind himself. They seemed to be having a developed conversation. He couldn't really tell. All the same, he smiled with his prize-winning, infectious smile, and took a seat. He didn't recognize the girl, but she looked about their age.

A transfer? Sam wondered.

He recognized Mark well enough, though, and greeted him warmly.

"Hey Mark. " Sam respected and quite liked the guy; a fellow Hufflepuff fourth year, as well as a fellow smart-mouth. Very good combination.

Sam then turned to Lilya, and waved. "I don't recognize you," he began. "You must be new here? I'm Sam."

Phoebe Lyons

Phoebe was left idling on the platform, without any inkling of an idea what to do, how to do it, or why. She was a rather shy first year girl, and was left all alone on the platform.

Well, she thought, I should probably...get on the train.

She was navigating the train, when she bumped into Cyrus, dropping all of her books.

"Oh no!" she whispered, "I'm sorry about that," she nervously gathered her books. She had several; she was a well read and intelligent girl. "I didn't mean to do that. I'm sorry...."

Mark Smith
Mark looked over and saw Sam enter the compartment. He was a fellow Hufflepuff and Quidditch player. He was a fifth year and an excellent keeper, Mark respected guys who were good at quidditch, even if Sam was nowhere near as strong as he was. "Hey Sam ", he said, copying the other boys greeting. Sam, he didn't much care for his nickname, was clearly interested in Lilya. Not that Mark could blame him really. She, unlike many witches, was in excellent physical shape. He petted Brass, who had started to get up when Sam entered the compartment.

Andros Anvar

Andros cast one last gaze at his mother who had finally managed to get all pair of twins onto the train before moving down the platform, his brow slightly furrowed in concentration, that voice, he contemplated as he strode further along the platform, I’m sure that was Ella and Walter, I’ve got to find them. He had had something of a growth spurt during the summer having grown somewhat taller and if anything even leaner, his hair the darkest shade of brown passed the nape of his neck and clung messily to his head while his jade eyes cast around the platform looking for his friends.

After a short amount of time and some attentive hearing as the amount of people on the platform began to slowly dwindle he finally found them, Ella was in the process of filing what looked like half a library back into a bag and Walter looking somewhat anxious. Smiling he picked up a bit more speed and called out to them, “Ella! Walter! There you are! It’s been too long sorry I never got back to you guys during the summer, we were planning on meeting up but last year, well you know and then my dad decided to take me on a trip and started going on about it being time or something,” here he paused smiling as the pair separated from their embrace. Well you know what he’s like,” he finished smiling blandly a slight knowing gleam in his eye.

Near the entrance to the platform the guard levered himself up and began walking down the platform loudly hollering that the train would soon be departing and that everyone should board promptly, several parents began hurrying their farewells and conversations and a small frenzy set out at the rear with people literally sending trunks flying at the porters at the end in their haste.

In General

Scant minutes later the guard eyed up the porters as they bustled up to the entrance of the platform before snapping his wand through the air and murmuring quietly, the train was ready to leave and it started to do so with a slight shudder a great billowing cloud of steam erupted from the chimney at the front. Slowly but steadily the train began to move picking up speed the slight shudder before smoothing out as the regular chugging of the engine and the cars following it accelerated and the platform began to vanish from site leaving behind several groups of parents still waving farewell to the students looking out the windows as the train passed round the curve and onwards to Hogwarts, onwards to a new year!

Alexius and Alexios Anvar

Alexius and Alexios were in the end somewhat glad to be free of their mother, while hardly leading an oppressed or hard life they yearned for greater freedom, they had been afforded some luxury to experiment with magic and the like but the fear was there, the Anvar bloodline had a noted history of the sight in it. That it had manifested most profoundly in their father hadn’t made anything easy, even without his talents he always knew when they had done something or that they were up to something, however at Hogwarts with the multitudes hopefully they would be able to avoid his attentions if nothing else due to the sheer amount of goings on. They had begun making their way up the corridor looking for a compartment passing a girl who looked like she had spent a great deal of time in a coal mine, the whites of her eyes shining eerily in stark contrast had caused the identical pair to shudder slightly.

The pair had messy tousled mops of brown so dark it was almost black, hair and eyes like emeralds they had long pointed faces and were extremely lean taking after both mother and father, the Anvars were well respected having ultimately descended from Rowena Ravenclaw herself. They finally found a somewhat empty compartment with another first year in with a blackened robe peering in the pair asked in eerie unison, “Are these seats taken?”

Alexis and Alexia Anvar

Alexis and Alexia hurried away from the compartment they had thought to try there’d been this great fifth year who appeared to more like a gorilla brandishing some sort of weird creature, it hadn’t been something they’d wanted to see. However they didn’t wanted to try and find any of the others and so started wandering down the compartments passing by a boy and girl fumbling over books before finally finding a quitter compartment with another pair of girls in, they peered in round the door and asked quietly, “Could we join you? The other compartments are full.”

Crystal Leod grabbed herthings as if in a hurry and began to board. At the platform her father Nicholas Leod stood proud and took a deep breath in, ignoring her it seemed as he looked into the distance rather than at Crystal. Rolling her eyes Crystal said, "Tell your wife thanks for showing." she said getting on the train, another year at Hogwarts was fine since she had to be here anyhow due to her father's insistence and her own reluctance to fight it in anyway. Once on the train she tried her hardest not to look out the window to see if her dad was looking for her or already gone, she sat towards the back of the train car she wa on and looked for familiar house faces. Sitting down she looked out the window while chewing gum a bit loudly and popping it loud enough for others to hear her.
In a whisper she said, "Maybe I'll find a 1st year friend to carry things.." she mused to herself and leaned against the window.

Cyrus stumbled from the bump and in regaining his footing on the moving train, accidentally stepped onto one of the fallen books. “Oh no! Pardon me,” he said and picked it up. The thick cover read, in fantastic font, 1000 Magical Creatures You’ve Never Heard of Before. He had tracked down a few of the creatures described in it during family vacations for fun and veracity; he would search the globe for all of them. Cyrus took stock of the girl: she was a pretty redhead with shy, stunning green eyes, and after a glance through the titles of the books she was carrying, Cyrus liked the thirst for knowledge she had and the breadth and depth of intelligence she shared too at their young age. He smiled and handed it back to her. “It’s quite all right. This is one of my favourite books. My name is Cyrus and I don’t know where I’m going. I'd hate to bother you but would you like to sit with me if you'd like?"

He heard a distinctive hiss - a snake was near them, in a compartment just ahead. He was curious about the rare kind of pet, although guessing it would most likely belong to Caleb, and he would be glad to meet both him and Rani on his first day.

Phoebe Lyons

"It's okay," Phoebe muttered, "I barely know where I'm going, either." She smiled a bit, and gracefully took her books back. She smiled at Cyrus who she assumed would be her first friend.

So, it's not so hard, after all. She thought. I can make friends.

"I would love to come sit with you," she affirmed, following Cyrus to the compartment.

Phoebe stopped for a few moments; she was momentarily petrified by the hissing of the snake, but closed her eyes, and nodded to herself.

Well, here goes nothing.

It was Rani, which had raised itself to a height in the cage as Caleb stroked its diamond head. Its beautiful tan scaly skin, striped with gold, contrasted with the bright yellow underbelly, its hood expanded, its black beady eyes looked pointedly ahead; the Indian Cobra was staring with what felt like interest at the sooty girl from before.

The girl bore some kind of ungraceful lump on her chest under her dirty robes. It twitched and tried to move, making the dark cloth flow over it, then seemed to decide against drawing more attention to itself and stayed still. Cyrus suspected it was her pet, a kind of edible pet that Rani would like to get to know better.

If not for the presence of Caleb, Cyrus would have carried on his search for a compartment to share with his potential friend - whose name he noted to ask for later.

“Hello Caleb, Rani,” he greeted and smiled at the other two girls, one of whom he did not recognise, who looked like she was distancing herself from Sooty Girl. “I’m glad I found you here, I was lost on this train.”

Persephone Lyons

Persephone smiled meekly, and waved her hand weakly, in a mere caricature of Cyrus' apparent confidence. Compared to him, she paled somewhat in confidence, and had to force herself to squeak out an introduction, a hello, an anything, really.

"Hi everybody," she waved at the group. Apparently, Cyrus knew those assembled, despite his age. She regretted her own non-wizarding background.

I wish I had friends before coming onto this train....she thought wistfully. I wonder what it's like to have a wizarding family...

Her knowledge of the magical world was completely based off what Sam had told her, and as a result, she didn't exactly have the clearest picture. She would soon develop one.

The professor of Potions strolled through the narrow corridor, making sure that everyone was settled nicely into the compartments. He was also trying to find a place to sit, but he wasn't going to say that. He poked his head into the fifth-year compartment.

"So how was boring old England for you guys?" Pandora joked and then remembered a thing. "I have some presents for you and Jacob, but I'll give them out later." the Italian girl said, leaning back into her chair. Isobelle looked up at Damian with a look of pure shock on her face, how could this happen? He was asking her to sit with him, it was unheard of in her existence. Large gray eyes looked up into his blue ones before speaking. "I guess so." she said in surprising confidence as she got up to walk with the Slytherin boy to his part of the train.

Jacob gave a grin at Pandora's words. "Hey, it's not that bad!" He said playfully to his girlfriend. "My break was fun, I went with my parents on a trip to Canada. It was pretty cool. I saw a few Quidditch matches too." Lucy spoke up, "I visited my cousins for a while. That was pretty fun. They're all really nice, some of them even graduated from Hogwarts, even though most of my family are muggles." Jacob smiled at Pandora's mention of presents. "Sweetie, you didn't need to get us anything, but that was very nice of you, thank you." He told her, kissing her cheek in thanks.
Damian noticed the shock on Isobelle's face at his offer. It was clear she didn't get many like it often. He felt a little bad for her, sure she seemed a little strange, but she also seemed nice. Damian smile again when she agreed to come. "Brilliant, let's go then." He said as he led her back to his compartment. It wasn't very far and they soon came upon a group of four students that were all sitting together and joking. "Everyone, this is Isobelle. I met her today on the way to the train." Everyone waved to Isobelle in a friendly way, but a few seemed confused. Isobelle had always seemed very shy to them, they were surprised Damian would invite her to their cabin. Two of the boys both had dirty blond hair and were clearly brothers by their looks. "That's Jeremy and Charlie, their brothers they are. Jeremy's a third year, and Charlie's in ours." He then pointed to another boy with dark hair and tanned skin. "That's Jordan, he's in our year too. He's in Ravenclaw." He then pointed to a young girl around their age with brunette hair and green eyes, she had pretty features and a nice smile. "This is Amanda, she's in Gryffindor." Damian told Isobelle. "It's nice to meet you Isobelle. " Amanda said with a nice smile.

The snake still made me uncomfortable. But I managed to keep some distance, sliding to the window of the compartment. The train began to move, and I had hoped we would arrive quickly. As I was too anxious to get started. However, to distract myself from the snake, I responded to the boy. "Well, nice to meet you. I am Becca, as I think I mentioned. So, what house do you want to be in? I dont really care so much. As I am sure I will have fun in any of them." I said calmly, then in further efforts to pass the time and distract myself from the trip, I revealed a non magical past time. An old game boy. Pulling it out of my robes and switching it on, I began to play my now very old, but favorite game for it. Pokemon: Live Green Version, a Pokemon game about 12 years old now. My family is not able to afford newer stuff, but it never bothered me. I turned the volume down low as to not bother anyone. Not even realizing that this ancient portable game was likely something never even seen by a pure blood witch or wizard.

Lina

Lina managed a weak smile and a small wave when the boy walked into the compartment. But in reality, she wasn't pleased at all. She returned to reading her book, well, sort of. She couldn't really concentrate with all of the chatter in the compartment, but mainly because she kept glancing at Caleb over the top of her book.

He was kind of cute. But she would never, could never tell him, or any boy for that matter, something like that. She continued to glance at him occasionally over the top of her book while she waged an internal war. You should say something to him, he's barely looked at you since he walked in, one side of her brain would say. While the other would retort, what if he brushes you off? What if he ignores you? What if he makes fun of you?

Eventually, Lina made up her mind. She steeled herself, silently cleared her throat, dropped her book to her lap, and said, "So, Caleb, d-do you, um, play quidditch, or, any other s-sports?" She blushed as red as her hair, embarrased by both her accent and her stutter.

Phoebe Lyons

Phoebe stared at Rebecca silently for several moments, noting the antique gaming device in her fingers. Phoebe, herself, had owned a few Nintendo game systems at home, which now probably lay collecting dust. She had never really been one for video games, to be sure, but she heard the all-too familiar beep and buzz of a gaming device.

"I-is that a game-boy?" she piped up, suddenly. "I have one of those, too. Though I was told by my brother, Sammy, that they don't work under large concentrations of magical energy. Electronics don't, in general. That's what I was told, at least." Phoebe suddenly blushed.

Samu "Horntail" Lyons

"Hey Mark," Sam replied in kind. Noting that Lilya wasn't really in the mood to respond, he awkwardly stepped out of the compartment. "I'll see you at school, perhaps, Mark. Have fun with your new...uh, girlfriend," he teased, before backing out.

He passed through the corridor where fellow students greeted him. "Hey Horntail," they would wave. A few of his common victims, small, spineless Slyhterins sneered as he passed, and he responded in kind, lunging at them, laughing as they loomed against the walls. He adored having that kind of impact on others.

Finally, in abandon, he flung open the nearest door, not really giving a damn who was sitting or not, and plopped down across from Agatha.

I know her, I think. Sam thought. Maggie, I think? Aggie? Agatha? Something like that. Eh, it doesn't matter. My friends don't seem to be here anymore, so I might as well as make the best of a pretty crummy situation.

"Hey Agatha," he said, simply in an inviting tone. "You're a Gryffindor, right?"

Agatha
When the boy that had made quite a name for himself came barging into her compartment, she had been chewing on her nails again while staring out of the train that was now moving away from the station and heading out towards Hogwarts. But when he came barging in, she stopped quickly, not because she was trying to hide it or anything really like that, but because that's just what she did. She liked it when the compartments were empty and she could ride on the train, left alone to herself and her constant bombarding thoughts, but she knew it wasn't logical that the compartment she was in would stay empty forever. To what he said, she figured she might as well respond and act like she cared to talk, even though she didn't. But she wasn't completely rude to just completely ignore people altogether.

"Yeah, that would be right" Agatha responded to him, and for a moment paused without continuing their discussion further when she decided to ask "why?"

Kevin
"No, I don't mind" Kevin said, but found out quickly enough that responding was pointless because by the time his words were finished, the other boy was already sitting down and bombarding him away with a whole bunch of silly questions. He wasn't really a boy that minded all that much to be honest, though. It was a bit annoying but he wasn't going to throw some fit about it.

"Jesus, slow down" Kevin responded, shaking his head lightly. "My name is Kevin, and yes, I'm a first year. And I think I want to be a Slytherin. I don't really care, though" He said, shrugging his shoulders. He shook his head again when the boy continued to ramble on. "Honestly? Not really. Only on occasion do I feel like I can't stop talking, so I can't really relate" He said. He didn't really respond either way in response to his apology.

Adair and Mist
Adair and Mist had a good start to their year already, quickly making friends with each other. Adair, in her normal, overly cheery, perky self, immediately cheerfully greeted Mist when she came in, and Mist responded in a friendly manner. That set them off on some chatter, but it didn't seem to be about anything specific. Adair could immediately tell that Mist was a bit of an odd one, but she didn't consider that to be a bad thing, as long as it was the right kind of odd. And Mist immediately found Adair to be an "intriguing individual". And quickly they became friends.

Not terribly long later after the train had begun to move, twins popped their heads in and asked if they could sit in with them, and Adair gave a glance to Mist, who nodded in understanding of what she was asking without any words, which led to Adair speaking up. "Of course! The more the merrier!" She exclaimed cheerfully. Mist smiled and nodded her head to the two girls in acknowledgement.

Sal grumbled to himself. Thefifth year compartment was full. He went over to the fourth years, thinking they might be more friendly. He popped his head in.
"Any room in here?"

"Hey Agatha," he said, simply in an inviting tone. "You're a Gryffindor, right?"

He shook his head blushing. The Horntail, though, a fellow Hufflepuff who got into fights with Slytherins, was going to get a bludger to the face in practice. One hit, one Sam with a bloody nose. Even though he knew he wouldn't do that it was satisfying to think about. Of course... He would have said something similar. He turned to Lilya, "Sorry bout him, he's the keeper on the Hufflepuff team. Fifth year." He stretched his legs and brass walked around quickly before jumping back on the chair beside Mark.

Mark heard a teacher say hi as he was getting resettled into his chair. He leaned outside the compartment, and saw a professor he'd never seen before. "Hellooo!" He said exaggerating the word. Not in a rude way, more in a joking way, he realized a tad late that the teacher may not have a sense of humor. Oh well... He turned to Lilya "Hey, new teacher, wonder what he teaches... Hope he's good."
