He asked his Father, later, to recruit him into the Illuminati. His father agreed, embarrassed that his own son was able to successfully spy on him. But this wasn't the end to James plans. Due to a combination of performing well and assassinating Superiors, he ended up at his current position of Arm, just a Month ago. Not much else to say.

The main difference with that last one is that John can slow down time as much as he wants for as long as he wants; although he does get a headache when he uses it (the length and severity depends on how long he's used it for and how much time has slowed) which could leave him open.

Cool, although I should point out that I wrote my post as you were writing yours. So it's pretty much a total coincidence. But yeah, I'm down with that.
