BELGRADE, SERBIA

It had been a quiet week, so Vucic was actually rather pleased when the British message arrived. However, this pleasure was gradually removed as the letter was read. He hastily put together an indignant reply:
To: Britain
From: Serbia
Encryption: High
Greetings,
I received your message and am glad that you are so ready to support our accession to the EU. However, your terms are completely unacceptable. The government of Serbia will not, cannot, recognise the independence of Kosovo. To ask this of us is very ignorant and quite insulting, as I am happy to explain.
In fact, I would like to explain the history of the region to you face-to-face. I would very much like for you to come to Belgrade on Saturday, so that we may discuss several things, including relations between our two countries, trade deals, the EU, and of course the Kosovo issue. This would enable us to reach a good agreement over Kosovo and hopefully speed up our EU accession process.
I hope to hear from and see you soon,
Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear communist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a humanist.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible realistic egalitarian with several strong convictions.

North Waziristan, Northwest Pakistan

North Waziristan was one of the last places, in the Northwest regions of Pakistan, the Pakistani Taliban could hide. The goal for the military was clear, eliminate all Taliban Forces and pacify the area to end the Taliban threat. This tactic has been proven successful numerous times in the past as the Taliban hasn't risen up in South Waziristan or other areas where the Taliban used to hide. Being next to Afghanistan was its own problem, as the Taliban could easily retreat into the war torn nation and continue their attacks. This was something that the military wouldn't allow to happen. Ever since the NATO Coalition began to leave Afghanistan in 2014, the Taliban began to increase their attacks.

Two Squadrons of 4 JF-17 Block 1 jets flew over North Waziristan in order to weaken up the Taliban, before Pakistani ground forces arrived in the area. When they reached the area, the fighters broke off into groups of two, to expand their coverage of the area. The Taliban was good at hiding, but were horrible when it came to transporting weapons and soldiers. As the fighters searched, one group found a Taliban convey moving towards the west. Moving into attack formation, both fighters fired their missiles at both the lead and rear vehicles, effectively stopping the convoy from moving. The fighters circled back around and continued their assault, eliminating the convoy, before regrouping with the other fighters, who were also able to eliminate some Taliban Forces in the area.

Two hours after the airstrikes on the Taliban, the forces of the XI Corps began to move in. At first, there seemed to be no resistance due to the earlier bombings. After 30 minutes of no fighting, the Taliban began to ambush parts of the 7th Infantry Division. The 323rd Infantry Brigade were ambushed as the Taliban used hit and run tactics to slow down the Army. The brigade was able to eliminate the Taliban forces attacking them, but took casualties doing so. Airstrikes and artillery were both called in to be used against Taliban positions in the area, as the Army didn't want the Taliban to hold out any longer. After the bombardments were over, the Army once again began to push forward, but with a new plan. Both the 7th ad 9th Infantry Divisions would encircle the Taliban while, brigades from both divisions draw the Taliban out of hiding, and into a larger area, where they could be encircled and crushed.
Uh, they're called green hearts.

You racist.

Juba, South Sudanese Republic

A young aide-de-camp, a lieutenant by the look of his epaulettes entered the presidential study without knocking and obviously keen on announcing something to the President of the Republic, Salva Kiir Mayardit. "Sir, Poland and Egypt have sent us letters concerning the famine; we'll be able to feed the people, sir!"
"Lieutenant, while obviously very good news I ask you not to read the government's diplomatic mail from now on."
"Forgive me sir."
"You are forgiven lieutenant but don't let it happen again."
"Yes, your excellency."
"Now, pass the letters over!"
"Of course, sir."
With that the lieutenant passed over the two diplomatic letters (one from Poland and the other from Egypt.
To: South Sudan
From: The Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Ewa Kopacz
Encryption: High
Dear Sir/Madam,
The people of Poland are afraid of your people starving, and that cannot happen. We, the government of the Republic of Poland will send €200,000,000 in aid for the poor people of your country, for food and water. All the money must be used on humanitarian aid or we'll ask for the money back. We hope that we will save many people from dying.
Your Dear Friend,
Yours Faithfully
Ewa Kopacz,
Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland

After rapidly reading the letter, the President opened Google Docs on his computer (Microsoft Office wasn't free any more) and wrote a letter to the Republic of Poland's Prime Minister which he later printed and sent by diplomatic mail.
To: The Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Ewa Kopacz
From: The President of the South Sudanese Republic, Salva Kiir Mayardit

Madam, the South Sudanese people are eternally grateful and permanently indebted the Polish people and State for their selfless generosity in these grave times for our country. We promise some day when South Sudan is prosperous and our people are not hungry we will return the favour and forge a strong alliance with the Republic of Poland and its people. For now, I hope you accept a simple 'thank you' and a promise to use the funds for the intended purpose.

After that, the President read a note from the Egyptian government.
To South Sudan

Egypt will send 4 Lockheed C-130 Hercules this week to Juba, and 2 every week for the next 4 months. The planes will be loaded with food, water and medical supplies, we hope this will help your country

President Sisi

As with the previous letter, he wrote a response on his computer and sent it by diplomatic mail (which is much faster and efficient than the practically non-existent South Sudanese postal service).
To: The Egyptian Government
From: The South Sudanese Government

Honourable men, we are eternally grateful for your assistance and generosity in these time of poverty and despair for South Sudan. I assure you one day when South Sudan is great and prosperous and feeding our people is not a problem that we will return the great favour of your people and your government.

Government Offices, Kabul
Abdullah Abdullah, acting president of Afghanistan, sat in his office chair, head in his hands as he listened to some of his military advisers talk about the fight against the Taliban, pointing towards a map. "So, we retook this area in the past few days," one of the men said, motioning around a region of the map. "The Taliban attacked us here, here and here in that time. We repelled these two attacks, but the third defense fell, and that Taliban contingent is moving north." Abdullah watched and listened carefully. He was no strategist but he wanted to be involved in the process of defending his nation. "So they're all moving towards the city." Abdullah noted, as he stared at the map. All the reported motions of Taliban forces were pointed roughly at the same target on the map.

"Yes, sir." The man replied hesitantly. "What are we doing, defense-wise?" Abdullah asked, simply. "Well, we're moving a large force of troops into Qandahar to dig in, and supporting them with what artillery and tanks that can be spared. There was a proposal to station a contingent of the Commandos in the city, but it was decided they were more useful on the battlefield." Abdullah nodded, seemingly satisfied. "What's happening with the Air Force?" One of the other men, likely one from the Air Force, in fact, stepped slightly closer. "Sir, the Air Force is supporting defensive operations to keep the insurgency contained in Kandahar, as well as running reconnaissance missions and runs on identified targets. There's a small group of Aircraft that are ferrying wounded troops out of the area and bringing in reinforcements, which are keeping our troops mostly fresh."

Abdullah nodded again. "Alright. Get several Commando Battalions deployed in southern and eastern Kandahar, near the Pakistani border. Secure the border with Pakistan, and when the job is done, have them push north-west, and enclose the Taliban force so they can't escape. Reinforce defenses in Qandahar City, get some of the ZSU-23-4's in there, they'll be useful if it comes to a battle. The remainder of troops should close the circle around the Taliban from the north and west, and start advancing, under Air Force support. Deploy the Grad's to take out their strongholds, it's one of the best weapons we have against them." Abdullah looked around the room, and the men all showed their approval for the plan, before filing out of the room. Abdullah then moved on to some economic paperwork he'd been avoiding for several hours.

Somewhere in Southwest Kandahar Province
Abdul Mahdi and his contingent had linked up with several other groups in a similar situation, and re-established contact with HQ. They were currently part of the mission to trap the Taliban force in an ever-shrinking circle. Their main issue, the heavily fortified group of hills ahead of them. The Taliban garrison had yet to notice their force, thankfully, which gave them time to prepare. Abdul watched the Taliban guards patrol the area through the scope of his gun, but turned around when he heard the noise of trucks driving closer. Abdul smiled. He was looking at a group of three BM-21's, commonly known as 'Grads'. They were Ex-Soviet Multiple Rocket Launchers mounted on the back of all-terrain, armored trucks. While not quite as accurate as regular artillery, they were a fearsome weapon.

The rocket batteries on the backs of the Grads' raised above their cabs, and there was a short silence, before the first volley of rockets were fired, from one truck, then the next, and then the last one. The rockets flew high overhead, and came down on the Taliban fortifications lethally. Abdul watched as the rockets tore apart the primitive but effective fortifications, and decimated the Taliban force. After several minutes of fire, the trucks stopped. Abdul, along with the rest of the infantry, advanced and secured the hills, taking several prisoners and killing any remnants that tried to resist the attack.

Southeast Kandahar Province, near Pakistani border
The large group of Mil Mi-35 and Mi-17 helicopters flew high, to avoid gunfire from the ground. They soon reached their destination, a region of the province infested with Taliban forces. The Mi-35s kept in the air as the 17's descended, and quickly deployed a large number of Afghan commandos. The 17's then began to return in the direction they came from, however the 35s flew East, on a planned run against an identified Taliban fortress. The Commandos proceeded to advance in the direction of a town under Taliban rule, intent on liberation. Drop-offs like this one were occurring all over the region, and Headquarters estimated it would be less than a week before this area was completely secure. The Taliban, it seemed, had overestimated their abilities, and underestimated those of the new Afghan nation.

Parliament,
Juba, South Sudanese Republic

Salva Kiir Mayardit called for an emergency meeting of both houses of the South Sudanese Parliament to announce the Egyptian and Polish generosity. All the members of parliament answered their summons and were at the national legislature debating-chamber fifteen minutes before the President was due to arrive. When the President arrived the MPs stood up and sang as the national anthem was played. Immediately after that, the President starting addressing all the legislators.
Honourable legislators and plenipotentiary representatives of the South Sudanese people, as you know our nation is currently facing a very uncertain future while our people are hungry, homeless and naked. In short, our country is extraordinarily-poor. I wish to announce on this day that the government of Poland and Egypt have promised to aid us in our struggle against misery, poverty and malnutrition. On the other hand, I ask this joint chamber of legislators to vest upon me extraordinary powers so that I can lead this country out of this crisis without having to bother with consulting you. Let it be known however, that our nation would continue to have democratic principles; I am simply asking for emergency powers due to the present situation.

Immediately, the chamber started voting and within fifteen minutes the following act had been passed with all in favour except two abstentions.
ACT VESTING EXTRAORDINARY POWERS ON THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC
In view of the current economic and humanitarian situation in the South Sudanese Republic both houses of the democratically-elected legislature of all the South Sudanese people and citizens finds it appropriate to vest upon the President of the Republic, Mr Salva Kiir Mayardit, extraordinary and absolute power in the rule of the South Sudanese Republic for a period not exceeding one year. The President of the Republic is liable for impeachment in the event that he does not summon Parliament within a week of that year having passed. Finally, the South Sudanese Parliament is legally-able to extend the duration of the state-of-emergency and therefore the period of time the President of the Republic retains absolute power.

Presidential Palace,
Juba, South Sudan

Salva Kiir Mayardit was very excited; the next day all flag submissions would be handed-over to him by the newspapers and South Sudanese diplomatic missions all around the world. However, South Sudan had many other important matters to deal with and day-dreaming all day would not help the President of the Republic at all. Since the aid from Egypt and Poland was yet to arrive there was nothing he could do about the humanitarian crisis for the day so instead he decided to write an application letter to the Commonwealth. He wasn't applying to the Commonwealth for sentimental reasons; the ability to close embassies in unnecessary places and instead redirect all South Sudanese citizens to the nearest Commonwealth diplomatic missions along with the benefits provided by the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan made him want to join the organization.

He sent the following letter to Marlborough House (the Commonwealth's head-office) in London.
Dear Secretary-General,

The South Sudanese Republic wishes to notify The Commonwealth of Nations of its intent to join the organisation and engage in all Commonwealth events. We have decided to join this organisation to commemorate our common history and somewhat entwined culture in addition to our common language as the sons and daughters of the British Empire. We hope that our application will be received and accepted hastily by the Commonwealth's Secretariat and we wish to participate in Commonwealth events and summits as soon as possible.

Sincerely,
Salva Kiir Mayardit
President of the Republic of South Sudan

In response to the Republic of South Sudan
To the South Sudanese Government,
We are elated to hear of your interests in joining the Commonwealth and I'm sure the nations in the Commonwealth will be more than happy to send aid and possible assistance in political matters. We must, however, tell you that if you are accepted into the organisation you will give up your position as head of state of South Sudan and become head of thee government instead. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and her house will forever be the head of state over South Sudan. We also advise you to not worry about this head of state change as Her Majesty will only offer advisers and her power will be limited within South Sudan. We will contact you with further announcements to tell you if you have been accepted or not.
Yours sincerely,
Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations

In response to the Republic of Serbia
To the Serbian Government,
We will send a delegate to Belgrade to discuss further negotiations. Expect him in Belgrade within 3 hours
Yours sincerely,
Minister for European Affairs

Within minutes the delegate boarded a private jet and set off for Belgrade for the talks.

UK debt slowly decreasing
Last year the total UK debt was £1.4 Trillion. Now estimators say that it is £1.35 Trillion, although this is a very small amount compared to the rest of the debt is shows clear signs that the UK is getting out of it's recession and getting back on track.

A diplomatic cable came in from Marlborough House, London in response to the South Sudan's application to join the Commonwealth of Nations.

The President wasn't particularly bothered with being titled Prime Minister (or perhaps Premier or Chancellor) instead of President; in fact he preferred that title. Furthermore, he could be knighted or ennobled which was sufficient to accept the Queen as the head-of-state. A response was sent to London.
Dear Secretary-General

We accept the terms that have been presented by the organization you lead in order to accept us. South Sudan shall become a Commonwealth realm on the day it is accepted into the Commonwealth and Elizabeth II shall receive the following treatment in South Sudan: Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second By Grace of God and the Constitution of the State Queen of the South Sudanese.

MINISTER ASSASSINATED IN GANG RELATED ATTACK!

Outspoken minister against the violence, corruption, and illicit trade, Rev. Oliver Osbourne, was killed late last night by several masked gunmen. The men arrived at the minister's home near 12 am and entered his household brandishing illegal automatic weapons. They took the minister and his entire family out of their beds and lined them against a wall and executed each member of his family. The household main saw the incident from her quarters and called local authorities. The reverend and his family were pronounced dead upon the arrival of emergency medical personnel.

The Celebration of Life ceremony will be held next Sunday at the Bethel Baptist Church.

There was outrage throughout the country and riots in the capital. A great man of the people was killed in what was perhaps the most brazen posse kill in recent memory. The minister had preached against the posses and had begun work to undermine the posses' local support by offering similar community services in and around the capital, Kingston. The country was waking up and turning against the seedy underworld that had plagued it for so long. Still, the battle had only begun. Senior Superintendent of the Island Special Constabulary Force, Reneto James, addressed the crowd about the issue. "Rest assured that such brazen acts of terror will not go unpunished on the island of Jamaica. We shall use the full force and power of the Constabulary Force to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice. May God have mercy on them because we will not."

India

Foreign:

The current government sends a message to the "war mongering barbarians" in China.
Mr. Xi Jinping,

My government wishes to point out to the PRC that our nation didn't invade Bhutan. The Indian people have always wanted friendship with the said nation and we have maintained a mutual relationship since British occupation. For instance, Bhutan became a protectorate of British India after signing a treaty in 1910 allowing the British to "guide" its foreign affairs and defence. Bhutan was one of the first to recognise India's independence in 1947 and both nations fostered close relations, their importance augmented by the annexation of Tibet in 1950 by the People's Republic of China and its border disputes with both Bhutan and India. India shares a 605 kilometres (376 mi) border with Bhutan and is its largest trading partner, accounting for 98 percent of its exports and 90 percent of its imports. Bhutan for decades has been protected by the Indian military and for centuries more it shall as it is one of our greatest allies and friends. I will not allow you to interfere in said relation Mr. Xi, China has always had its eyes on Bhutan, as well as Nepal, Indian Kashmir and Bengal but I promise you that China will not have their people subjugated like the Uighurs, Tibetans, Non-Capitalists and all the people of China! I understand that our military personnel attacked a Buddhist Temple and I am sorry it happened but I cannot do anything about it as it was done without my consent or notification. I hope your government understood that which public news networks did: The attack was done by rogue soldiers.

On the matter of your nation's soldiers amassing on our borders, it WILL NOT STAND! Our nation has the right to protect itself and if the communist government of China has the will to create a war in Asia between the two single largest nations on earth, both of whom possess nuclear weapons, and cause the entire region to erupt in war, then we will join this tea party. I will warn you again to get it into your thick heads: India doesn't want conflict but if our homeland of centuries is attacked, mark my words, we will defend it to the last man onwards!

~ Indian Prime Ministry
For defensive purposes 7,000 Military personnel will be moved to Kashmir to both aid the soldiers and police suppressing uprising and to defend against the Chinese who threaten the free Indian people. 7,000 more troops will be sent to Indian Bengal to build up defenses there.
To Mr. David Cameron,

Our nation refuses to give in to your attacks on our people! India will not backdown because of a few sanctions, our people simply do not wish to have relations with your petty excuse for a nation. We base this choice on constant British interference in our policy, on British Imperialism and the fascist state that has come into power there. We do not wish to side with the racist police state of Great Britain and will not so long as the Indian people are free.
Dear Mr. Vladimir Putin,
My nation wishes to ask you for aid. We will allow Russian troops to create a military bases in our nation if you send to us Russian weaponry and aircraft. India wishes to have bright and friendly with Russia and will gladly expand them if your nation agrees to negotiate on our offer.

- Indian Prime Ministry
Internal:
To combat crime the government has order a curfew of 9:00 PM in major cities of Punjab. The punishment for disobeying this new act is 7 months in prison and/or a $1,500 fine depending on the situation.

Due to protests, riots and clashes with protestors the government has reached out its hands to the protestors by agreeing to hold a session of parliament on the issue in the coming two months.

After violent clashes with soldiers and police with protestors, rioters, and militant groups the Parliament has declared a state of emergency. The military, police force and government has been searched relentlessly for "rebel sympathizers". This operation is being headed by radical members of the INLP who are secretly arresting also any Muslims, Sikhs, Political Opponents, and Buddhists and any one who sympathizes with them. With fighting continuing mainly in Punjab and Kashmir, the military has been able to easily contain the conflict and to stop it from spreading to other regions dominated by minority religious and ethnic groups. In Kashmir and Punjab posters have started to dot the windows of buildings and walls of shops. The goal is obviously to incite violence against the government and the military. Some posters in Punjab show pictures of Kashmiri and Punjabi people standing together against Indian soldiers who are shown as evil creatures. Large writing on the top of said posters state: "Sikha nū gurū karaza'ī dē tahita ēka kara! Hidū ati'ācāra laṛō" or in English: "Sikhs unite under Guru Karzai! Rise against the Hindu oppressors!"
This is alarming to government officials as it shows a possible union between the Sikhs and the Kashmiri rebels. "Guru" Karzai has been declared an enemy to the state and a $150,000 for his capture or death.

In Mysore the communists have not had a lot of support. After the first weeks of fighting about 1,340 were captured and 1,800 were killed.

BELGRADE AIRPORT, SERBIA
Vucic was waiting rather impatiently for the British representative to arrive. He was meant to be here half an hour ago, and yet there was still no sign of the plane. He leant in to one of his welcome party and said,
"Well I guess this is the price you pay when you take an Air Serbia flight!" The other man sniggered at this, and then went to make a cup of coffee.
Eventually the distinctive blue and white plane of Air Serbia landed. 20 minutes later, and the British representative had worked his way through passport control and shook hands with the Prime Minister.
"It's very nice to have you here Sir!" Vucic said. "We haven't had a Briton here for about 2 years."
The two men entered Vucic's car and were showfered to the house of government. There they found a conference room and got straight to work.
"There is no time to waste," said Vucic. "Our economy is recovering but still in a poor state. So, what conditions do you have for Serbia acceeding to the EU?"

Juba, South Sudan

Before going to sleep since the next day would be quite an important one (due to the flag contest and the possible response from the Commonwealth of Nation in London) President Salva Kiir Mayardit signed what could perhaps be his last decree as head-of-state and not head-of-government.
DECREE #1 UNDER STATE-OF-EMERGENCY
The Presidency of the South Sudanese Republic hereby approves of the establishment of citizenship-by-investment and residency-by-investment programmes in the South Sudan due to the poor state of the national economy that would be greatly benefited by an influx of foreign investment.

Investors of all nations will be able to acquire South Sudanese residency for $17,500 ($20,000 if they wish to naturalise in two years instead of the regular five) in addition to all required administration and bureaucratic fees and those interested in acquiring citizenship will be able to do for $30,000 in addition to all required administration and bureaucratic fees.

Signed,
Salva Kiir Mayardit
President of the South Sudanese Republic

The signing of the decree into law was followed by emails sent to major news outlets in order to advertise the programme (although they would probably criticise it as an attempt of the South Sudanese government to help European and North American tax-evaders).

Conference Room with Serbian Delegate
"Me and my government in London wishes for the people of Kosovo to become recognised within the Balkans. In order for EU membership the country needs to be at full peace and not at risk of possible terrorism or internal strife. There is also the matter of Russia, although you are perfectly free to engage in relations with Russia, in fact we support it, Russia might see joining the EU as a sign of aggression. Knowing Serbia's close relation to Russia, we don't want you to become the new Ukraine." The delegate sat back with his hands firmly on the table, waiting for an answer.

In Response to South Sudan
To South Sudanese Government,

UK begins talks with Serbia over EU acceptance
It was said early this morning that a British delegate has been sent to Belgrade to begin talks with Serbia. These talks will entail Serbia being sponsored by the UK for acceptance into the EU and possible negotiations over the Kosovo dispute. Soon we will find out what the talks have some to, many say that they will be disastrous for the UK as Serbia is not willing to give up Kosovo.

UK to send more army medics to West Africa
The Ebola crisis is growing and the UK has pledged some 300 more medics to help contain and combat the disease, with experts saying it will hit Western Europe in late 2015, people are becoming more supportive of action. The UK has also urged other developed countries to send aid in the form of medics. The current vaccine made by Canadian scientists and stored in Switzerland should be sent out to West Africa soon.

Juba, South Sudan
A diplomatic cable from the Commonwealth of Nation's Secretariat at Marlborough House in London arrived at the Presidential Palace in Juba. An aide-de-camp handed the letter over to the President who was visibly excited at the prospect of declaring South Sudan a monarchy and possibly being rewarded with a knighthood or even a peerage.
To South Sudanese Government,
We would like to congratulate you on your acceptance into the Commonwealth of Nations. All of the needed requirements have been met and a royal representative for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be in Juba this time tomorrow. A final congratulations to you and your nation.
Sincerely,
Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations

"Lieutenant, please call the Vice-President."
"Of course, sir."
Thirty minutes later...
The Vice-President, James Wani Igga, arrived at the President's study and manifested his interest in seeing the letter with his own eyes. After giving him roughly fifteen seconds to read the letter, the President told him, "Prepare for the proclamation of the monarchy at the same place independence was declared in 2011. Make sure to throw around Union Jacks, the current South Sudanese flags and the three best proposals [the proposals had arrived but the President hadn't had time to choose the one that would be the country's flag]."
"I will arrange it all, Mr President; do not worry."

Belgrade Conference Room
"Well, I think it would be easier to discuss your second point first. I don't really think that there is a risk of Russia getting too annoyed if we join the EU. Ukraine, yes, that was a problem, because it is right on the Russian border and wants to be a part of the West. Us, on the other hand... We were once part of Yugoslavia, which had little affiliation with Russia. We've always been friendly towards them, and are allied with them now, but I don't think history ties us together as much as it did Ukraine.
As for your point about Kosovo, I said I would explain the situation and here it is." Vucic thought for a moment, to gather his argument.
"You see, Kosovo has, until recently, been inhabited almost exclusively by Serbian people. There was an Albanian minority, yes, but it was a fairly small minority and not very influential. In recent times, however, they have become frequently more militant. Serbian Kosovans are being forced out of their homes, and being replaced by ever more Albanian people. It is hard for our government to put a stop to this, but we hope to sort it out diplomatically. But Kosovo cannot become independent, it would be unfair to the Serbs who live there, and those Serbs who have been forced out, and hope to return someday." Vucic sighed. It was going to be hard to convince the British, and the other European powers, of Serbia's legitimacy in holding Kosovo, but it had to be done.

Belgrade Conference
The delegate began to speak. "I'm afraid Kosovo will be a very delicate subject for your acceptance into the EU. I'm sure the German ambassador will have something to say about it as well. But I know where my government stands, they want Kosovo to be a place of peace and liberty. The only way that is achievable in the long run would be self governing. Yes the Albanians there have become militant but we have to ask they question why. They had to have a reason, I urge you one more time. You and your government must see Kosovo as an independent nation." The delegate was trying his best to come to a diplomatic solution and not make these talks a failure like so many people back home predicted

"The Albanians are militant because they are greedy for more lands!" Vucic began, then stopped and sighed. This would be no easy victory. He asked one of the attendants for a map of Kosovo, showing the regions that divided it.
"Okay, here is the offer I am prepared to make to you. Serbia joins the EU. We allow to Kosovo to become an independent country. But, and this is important, Serbia gets to keep these 5 municipalities of Kosovo. Look here," Vucic showed the map to the British representative, that he had coloured in.

"These areas are places where there is either a Serbian majority or an extremely large minority. It doesn't take much land of Kosovo, and allows many Serbian people to remain in their motherland. Surely this is a good solution, no?"

The British delegate looked at the map. "This is an excellent compromise but there is one thing. For an easy transition, I propose British and/or NATO troops to station themselves in the Serbian controlled regions baring the UN flag. Just for peacekeeping purposes until things are settled down. We don't want another Cyprus on our hands. I also say that you should discuss this with the local councils and governments of the region so they know what is going on. I will be on my way to Kosovo to tell them of the news and I will send a message to the UK ambassador to the EU to tell him to sponsor your admission." The British delegate was delighted. UK would be known for bringing peace to Kosovo and stability to the Balkans. The delegate stood up.
"You know, it would be wise if you made this official by declaring it to the media and television. May our nations prosper. Is there any questions before I leave for Pristina?"

Barcelona, Spain

Ahead of April’s election, Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy was campaigning in Catalonia, and delivered a speech on its proposed independence to People’s Party supporters there.

“There are people in Catalonia who believe that you can either be Spanish or Catalan, but not both. This is not true. There are people in Catalonia who claim to speak for all of Catalonia in demanding independence. This is not true. There are people in Catalonia who claim that it would be better apart from Spain. This is not true. The illegal farce of a referendum, which the majority of Catalonians valued so little they didn’t even bother turning up, demonstrates that the government here do not have the real interests of the people at heart. The government here are putting all their efforts into attempting to divide Spain instead of governing Catalonia in a way in which the majority of people want – as a part of Spain.”

A short while after the speech, Rajoy was informed of the talks between Serbia and the UK regarding the former’s potential admission to the EU. While he didn’t view Serbian recognition of Kosovo as being likely in the immediate future, Rajoy was wary of it happening. Spain was one of only 5 EU countries yet to recognise Kosovo, and by far the largest of those 5, in large part due to fears of what its independence would mean for the status of Catalonia. Spain’s position remained that no region could unilaterally declare itself independent, and it would not recognise Kosovo until Serbia did.

Vucic was overjoyed that the British had agreed. He spoke once more:
"I'm very happy you've agreed with our proposal, and I hope to see you in the EU Parliament sometime soon. If I'm honest, though, I'd rather just British troops were put in these regions. Another Cyprus would probably erupt if the Serbs found out we were letting UN and NATO troops onto our soil. I would recommend you bring about 5,000 under your flag. I'll get the media to drum up some pro-Britain propaganda and all will be well"
With that, Vucic invited the British representative to leave the building and continue to Pristina. Meetings were arranged with Kosovar leaders, and messages sent to the other major European powers.

Greetings to you all,
I have recently been in a meeting with David Cameron the Prime Minister of Britain. In this meeting, we came up with some terms for the accession of Serbia to the EU. You seven countries are all other major players in the EU, so I would like for each of you to come to Belgrade on a different day this week, to look over and ratify the agreement that myself and a British representative have drawn up. I would like you to arrive on the following days:
Denmark- Monday
France- Tuesday
Germany- Wednesday
Italy- Thursday
Poland- Friday
Spain- Saturday
Sweden- Sunday
Once you have ratified the terms (which I'm sure you will), you can use your regional power to encourage other nations to vote for our accession as well. It would mean a lot to me if you followed this plan.
Thank you very much,
Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia

TASK FORCE ARRESTS SEVERAL CONSTABULARY MEMBERS FOR CORRUPTION!

In the wake of the recent surge of assassinations and gang related violence and the paucity of subsequent arrests, a task force investigating the members of the Constabulary Force has made a number of arrests across the spectrum, from low level officers, to several commissioners. The task force says it has only just begun but has many obstacles standing in its way.

Following the intense and exhaustive investigation into the murder of Rev. Osbourne and his family, police believed they had located the suspects. Upon arrival, however, the suspects had cleared out of the location leaving behind an almost record number of seized armaments. It is believed that the suspects had aid from inside the Constabulary Force in order to evade arrest.

Space

Luna-25
Roskosmos officially announced today that modifications were being made to create a new design to the Soyuz-TMA, called the Soyuz-Luna. It would change several aspects from the Soyuz-TMA and turn it into a craft capable of orbiting the moon. Also, it would have to use a skip-reentry technique as pioneered in the Zond mission as to lower the reentry speed. Also, it will need improved communication capabilities given the nature of its intended use. It will conduct a unmanned LEO test of the Earth in February of 2016 and if successful a test flight around the moon and back. If that also is successful it would conduct its first manned mission probably in early 2017. A manned landing on the surface wont take place until the Early 2020's however, given that there exist no current plans to build a lander.

Military
A sucsesfull FSB Operation prevented what could of been a disaster. Two Chechen separatists were found in the Dagestani village of Arralikkutan near Machkalla Airport. The house they were staying in contained four AK's, an RPK, an RPG with 3 warheads, and most frightening of all a spread sheet with landing and take off times in the past month for Military supply planes going to Dezful Airport. Police belive the Terrorists were planning to down a plane that would of been carrying jet fuel and air-surface missiles and bombs..

Berlin
Chancellor Angela Merkel got the invitation from the Serbians and booked a flight to Serbia. She was determined to make an impact in the Kosovo situation as it would further consolidate her position as a member of the EU and NATO, something that would allow Germany to expand its influence to member nations of both organizations, she wrote in response:

To Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Government
I would like to request a meeting tomorrow as I have some time available to look over the plan myself. The Federal Republic of Germany would gladly support a peaceful division and thus a peaceful resolution to the situation in Kosovo, however, we will be looking in the best interests of the Kosovar people, thus we will take a subjective view that is not in favor nor against your plan until we fully see your plan. In addition I would like to request that a battalion of German soldiers from our Army oversee the transition of territory and installment of a new government in the region. In the past the Serbians have had a less than acceptable attempt at annexing former territories which led to the Bosnian incident. Thank you for inviting me to help with progress in the region. Perhaps we may even allow your nation EU access if all goes well.

Sincerely,

Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany

With that Chancellor Merkel got on a secure military jet and made way for Belgrade to discuss the Kosovo situation.

Benghazi

The attack began with 60 F-16s launching an airstrikes all at once on the outer lines of the IS defenses in Benghazi. The strike was followed shortly by a massed artillery bombardment of the city and tactical Apache strikes. Soon all major IS defenses such as bunkers and dug in tanks had been flattened. The majority of IS fighters had been forced in to cellars and underground store rooms. The artillery then changed from firing live ammunition to tear gas and gas designed to knock people out for up to 4 hours and the elite Egyptian units (wearing gas masks) advanced in to the city in APC supported by a large number of tanks and IFV's. In the northern part of the city, Libyan government forces launched an offensive at the same time so IS were having to fight off two enemies.

The spear heads quickly made deep penetrations in to the IS lines and were followed by the regular infantry who mopped up any IS fighters who survived the initial assault. The aim was to meet the Libyan lines as soon as possible before IS had time to put up any serious resistance. In the bay the Egyptian navy shelled coastal IS positions and a small force of marines landed in the south of the city. The IS fighters now had to face three simultaneous attacks and if they tried to move from front to front they would be spotted by the Egyptian Air Force and taken out. Seeing they could not win, the IS fighters withdrew to the central area of the city where they hoped to make a last ditch stand. This last stand only lasted an hour and lead to the death of hundreds of IS fighters. By the end of the day Benghazi was in Egyptian/Libyan hands. With the second city of Libya under government control, it was only a matter of time before IS in Africa where wiped out for good.
