The Zantix have just recently developed their secondary head within 300,000 years because of a mutation that was able to develop a more complex muscle and nervous system that it split their personality and mind to grow a second head. Their secondary head is a completely different from their head they were born with, usually the opposite of the original personality that the Zantix is born with. The muscle structure that is advance that they can be able to react faster, control pain sensory, and even use their muscles to adapt their movement and skeletal structure( like using them to pop back joints into place or to move bipedal or quadruped).
The muscle development and second head comes in for every Zantix at the time of 10 as they start to learn how to acknowledge their other side as it starts to begin its own personality and then their comes the puppetry which they start to develop faster with their maturity and muscles that they do not know which one of their heads( or in this case, minds) is the real one until they either go insane or learn to agree that they are both the same one. When they have become full adults( 16 for males, 20 for females) they have been able to develop and grow over 320 bones, mostly are overlays of general bones and mostly are in the spinal, leg, and arm areas in order to have the ability to quickly move and switch between running/walking on all fours or more humanoid and they are more resistant to piercing or general trauma. They generally walk apelike but they have the similarities of hyenas( even the laugh that they do) but their coats come in grey, blood red, brown, and orange while the rare ones are the jet black and albinos, these are considered revered and are in positions of leadership and spirituality.
Their muscles are quite defined and have more strength in their arms and legs that are much far stronger then horses( for when they full on sprint on all fours, they can move faster then horses, and when they are fighting, they are able to far outmatch any Human in strength, but numbers are of a different matter, so is training) this comes with the problem with their bones, they are slower to repair then normal because of so many bones that have to heal including the core ones. Their senses are equivalent to a canine, however, their heads see in different sights, one can see in heat vision, the other night. The digestive system and breathing are similar to that of a hybrid of a carnie and Humanoid and their lungs are larger which can give them a more benefit of stamina but they need to catch their breath more. They have claws, which are strong enough to make marks on stone and it's teeth can easily break bone so they do not joke on it when eating their prey.

Their species is disorganized, always fighting for one reason or another. Their government is that of herds, bands of tribal packs that are lead by Herdmaster, a jet black Zantix that is the military leader of the Herd, and the Son/Daughter of the Haztik, which are the spiritual and domestic leader. They both are to represent the two heads that each Zantix has and to know that it takes two to lead them. This is how they have been working for some time.
They mostly walk on their all fours but it is apelike unless they are holding tools or running. Though they can also stand up right and can walk like that, but it is for a limited time.

Appearance: As stated before, the Dark Wolves are large canines. They stand around 20 feet on average, with females standing just below that. They have coarse black fur and equally-dark eyes. They are also very muscular and are bipeds, although they can use their arms as a second pair of legs if needed. I'll get a picture up when I get home
Anything Else? Although they might seem a little OP at the moment, I'm planning on them being isolationist and xenophobic, so they won't really expand outside of where they are now. Plus, they will be behind when it comes to tech, so it's essentially a trade off. While they are strong, they won't be anywhere else but this region and they won't be advanced.

Usually dark grays to very rare whites in color with coarse outer fur and fuzzy inner fur. Pups usually only have their inner fur grown and are born blind for a week and with sound but smell out for a month. Pups weigh around 5 pounds (newborn) to 20 pounds (month) then begin to climb quickly.
Species Info
Hierarchies usually go: Pack leader male, pack leader female, older wolves,pups, younger wolves, elders. The pack leaders take charge of the hunts with the older wolves guarding the den, pups being pups, younger wolves joining hunts, and elder wolves (last 5 years) usually guard too but just have less authority due to them being less useful.
Mating I won't go to much into detail. Basically males try and impress females by taking on solo hunts on various animals with predators like bears being the highest worth but the female ultimately chooses. Also another tactic is building an impressive, safe, den for possible pups and is better for the smarter wolves.
Genetic differences usually go with 1% of the population having limp tails but superior climbing abilities and 20% having glowing eyes. However most genetic defects are killed off due to the harsh society and nature itself.
Color on map: Black or purple.
Anything Else? Tails can be used to hold things or moved around freely. Can do most of human speech. Can walk on 2 legs for short periods of time. Paws can be switched to hand like movement but it takes a while. Can climb trees pretty well by digging their claws in after launching themselves up with their back legs using them to push off the ground then the tree onto a branch.
