The English won against the French but, what if the French won would there ever be a United States? In this reactment please choose one of the following countries and make alliances with other nations. Many of the alliances were based on religion, but you are free to ally with any nation. The year is 1752, two years before the war.

Well technically it was controlled by Britain, not England, and even then they reserved a certain level of autonomy that other parts of the British Empire didn't.

England is a former kingdom, which united with Scotland and Ireland to form the Kingdom of Great Britain and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland respectively. It is now considered a country inside the political union between the English, Scottish, and Northern Irelanders.

Britain is a colloquial term used to describe Great Britain in general, or can be used by those lax in academia to represent the British Isles.

It didn't unite with Ireland to form the Kingdom of Great Britain, just Scotland; see Acts of Union 1707, "Ireland, the third of the "sister kingdoms", was not included in the union. It remained a separate kingdom and indeed was legally subordinate to Great Britain until 1784."

2nd Corollary: Technically Wales has been governed by the English Monarchs since the Statute of Rhuddlan and the Prince of Wales is an honorary title in memory of the no longer existent Principality of Wales but...meh.
