The people of the Republic are very diverse in social rank and class rank. Since the aggressive industrial reforms from 1885 a huge wealth gap was created. The workers class grew tremendously, the middle class dwindled slowly, and the elite remained small but very influential. Factory workers were the largest labor force in the country, 2nd the farmers, and 3rd the unemployed. The workers toiled and labored for very lax minimum wage which was under the discretion of the employer. Most worker with substantial wage others below the minimum wage line. There is resent conjuring up in the worker of the Republic and many want radical change of the old system and intend to institute a new system for the people. Pubs are hotspots of Revolutionary talk.

After the heavy industrialization of the nation in the 1880's the Republic expanded all of its infrastructure tremendously. It currently devotes more than 40% of its budget to Industry and Infrastructure. Railroads dawn the nation and manufacturing dominates city life. Large cranes overlook massive cities in every corner as an urbanized society is emerging, the Andean State highway was fininshed in 1913 and the Pacific Rail Line running from the tip of La Plata all the way to the Peruvian border was finished and 90% of all Andean ports are commercialized setting aside the military ports.

The Andean army uses mainly American weaponry from the USC, importing land mines, rifles, MG's, armored cars, a few tanks, and many artillery pieces. It also imports from Germany, mostly small arms but a few logistical equipment. However, the Republics main arms dealer is the USC which has better quality weapons and cheaper shipping capacity and distance. The Republican Guard is the most elite unit of the Republics army in which it has never lost a fight and receives the best pay, military quarters, and medical care. The main army prides itself on the conventional tactics and mobile warfare. The army insists on mobile rather than trench since the fare horribly when momentum is lost.

History:
The Revolutions that riddled across South America against colonial rule began in 1810.Years of bloody wars of independence finally birthed new nations, amongst this was the Andean Republic. The new Republic hailed Simón Bolivar as the liberator of the continent. The Republic of Andean created a national holiday for him. After independence was secured on July 14th, 1814 the Republic began the long recovery process. The first few decades were ripe with strife, the new nation struggles to stay financially afloat and threatened to separate into multiple tinier republics. The massive nation to the north Bolivia kept funding rebels in northern Andean. A rag tag force of 12,000 volunteers and 23,000 professional soldiers were sent to the North to quell and police the new region. From 1818 to 1823 a non-stop insurgency hindered plans for economic stability as 80% of the budget flowed to the army.
In 1825 the insurgency was finally quashed. President Armadero used his executive powers to override Congress to rebalance the budget. Infrastructure and education became the highest priorities of the Armadero administration. New roads, financial institutions, universities and bridges were constructed to accommodate the growing economy and population. The University of Santiago saw the greatest influx of student attendee's and increased national literacy rates 1.5% annually. In 1828, however, the University closed down due to a massive education scandal with the Minister of Academics embezzling millions of pesos.
In 1830 the new Nationalist party won majority seats in the Senate and President Juan Bastillo won with a landslide victory over the Conservative party. The military received greater funding under Bastillo over 20% devoted too it. This gradually increased the army size and quality of the army. It stood at 75,000 soldiers from 1834 to 1860. Bastillo continued Armaderos reforms and continued to build roads and finally began constructing a railroad that would stretch from La Plata all the way north of Chile. This new project nearly bankrupted the country.
In 1838 a coup d' etat was staged and ousted Bastillo from his second term. Gen. Mariscos lead the country until 1840 when elections were held.
Mariscos won with his nationalist party winning majority seats in both houses of Congress. Mariscos began a naval revitilzation program in 1844 where he purchased many frigates and gun boats. This massive campaign bankrupted the country and lead it into a 2 decade period of debt. Mariscos began massacring native villages and established a Secret Police named the Securitas which tortured and killed thousands of people. The Urbanized cities swallowed in filth as basic sanitation services halted, the railroad project stopped and the public transportation came to a halt. Golden and marble statues of Marisco were erected throughout the country and the army of 125,000 ran rampant pillaging and raping the country. Commercial docks closed down and a shortage of food starved 125,000 people to death. In 1846 a revolution broke out and a brief period of civil war ensued.
For 6 months the people fought and waged war against Marisco and his army. Finally at the battle of Rio de la Cerda the People's Army fought the encamped Government forces and defeats them in a 20 minute engagement. This battle obliterated an army of 4,000 protecting Santiago. The road to Santiago was opened and the People's Army fought the last battle of Santiago which saw the city burning and the collapse of the Presidential Palace. Marisco was captured 2 days later with a guard of 400 men who surrendered without a fight and handed over Marisco.
On January 7th, 1847 Marisco was tried and convicted of mass murder, war crimes, human rights, embezzlement, voters fraud, and child molestation. He was hung on January 9th in the Square Romata in front of millions of people. From 1847 to 1850 a people's committee took over and lead the recovery. Infrastructure was top priority, roads were rebuilt, factories and bridges repaired. Miraculously the Commercial docks were unaffected by the fighting and were reopened, the people's Committee reduced the army down to 25,000 and at militia status to prevent the army from taking power by force again. The Congress was rid of Marisco sympathizers and Protégés and the Nationalist Party suspended temporarily.
In 1850 elections resumed and the Liberal Party formed. Liberal candidate Jose Cisneros was elected however the Congress was dominated by the Conservative Party. This was the first scene of political gridlock. The Liberal Party and Conservative Party went into heated debates and established a relationship of resentment that would remain precedent until modern day. President Cisneros, however, began an economic program in 1843 that subsidized manufacturers and farmers to begin to produce goods for the world market. In 1844 this program allowed foreign investment, the first countries to invest were Britain for the minerals and the US for agriculture. The French then began competing for Government land transfers through bribes. This saw the downfall of Cisneros. In 1845 President Rodriguez of the Conservative Party was elected with virtually no opposition.
President Rodriguez during his two terms from 1845 to 1855 developed the nation economically wise and infrastructure. A telegraph office was constructed and the Ministry of communications was established in 1848, the railroad project resumed in 1852, and a healthcare system was established in 1854. More docks were constructed and the economy for the first time in decades saw growth. Rodriguez managed to reduce the deficit greatly.
From 1860 to 1875 more growth continued and saw a major influx of immigrants substantially growing the labor force. Hospitals and factories were erected and the army reached 65,000 standing size. Dams were constructed and the first private communication company was established in 1869. Minimum wage laws were passed by Congress along with workers safety laws. The mining and manufacturing sectors dominated the economy. Textiles and metals became profitable exports, it wasn't until 1873 that the steel industry came to be. This lead to a rise in an urbanized society and unfortunately resulted in a class and wealth division. The Railroad project came to an end in 1874 and officially opened to the public in 1876.
However, first signs of class warfare came to head when strikers blocked the National Bank which had a reputation of only holding the elites and foreign investors money. The storming of the National Bank caused the deaths of 459 people, 23 elitist investors, and the loss of 12 million pesos and decreased the annual per capita rate by 1.56% in just an hour. A state of emergency was declared and multiple measures were passed by Congress and then Conservative President Garcia who stopped the flow of pensions and paychecks of strikers and cut medical benefits until the Status Quo was returned. The Strike ended but a series of protests began from 1878- 1880 when elections were held. The protesters accused Garcia of protecting the interests of the wealthy. Garcia won a 2nd term but people rioted once more claimed voter fraud. Garcia was convicted of stuffing the ballot box and Liberal President Veranza won by proxy.
Veranza rebuilt Santiago and the Presidential Palace during his time on office and lifted the suspension of the Nationalist Party. Veranza increased wages and began a student loan program. He expanded more economic options and subsidized more farmers than manufacturers. He was the very first liberal president to make bombastic speeches and smoothly ended gridlock with Congress throw moderate policies. He increased the army from 65,000 to 90,000 and began a program of hospital expansions. Veranza won a 2nd term in 1885 and continued multiple railroad constructions. Rail Cars lined the cities and tall skyscrapers dawned the skies of major cities. The largely coastal nation prided itself on constructing the most commercial docks than any other Latin American country. Under President Veranza and his administration the Andean Stock Exchange was established. Sadly Veranza died of a stroke on 1888 and a national day of mourning was declared.
In 1890 Nationalist President Marquez was elected and he increased the army from 90,000 to 110,00 and immediately purchased 4 IronClads. Tensions with Bolivia and Peru arose over northern region, this setting the premise for the Pacific War. 65,000 troops were sent north along with the advanced Andean Navy and war was declared by Congress on March 2nd, 1890. The Military established early naval dominance and the army pierced deep into Bolivian territory. Andean forces soon became bogged down as Peru's mighty army halted the advance right before their borders. An alliance with Brazil was established which opened up a 2nd front for the Peruvians. An arms five with Bolivia was concluded and ceded the coastal provinces to Andean. The Combined forces of Andean and Brazil along with the Blockade set the stage for Peru's demise. Andean and Brazilian forces occupied Lima, and a forced peace treaty was signed. 3 provinces of Peru were ceded to Andean on 1904.
In 1908 Then Republic scrapped outdated ships and bought new modern warships with an extra surplus of cash. The Great War looming, the Republic of Andean continued to grow domestically. In 1911 the army increased to 120,000 and automobiles started polluting city streets. In 1914 when the Great War commenced The Republic of Andean kept neutral relations with both parties and continued to sell and buy from those countries. The Republic adopted the style of Trench Warfare and began construction of the Fire Line with Peru in 1915. The Fire Line is a system of trenches, concrete bunkers, minefields, MG nests, artillery sites, and Sniper dens. The Republic of Andean has a total of 35,000 troops stationed on this heavily militarized border with Peru and extra 15,000 waiting to reinforce the lines and place possible offense options. The Fire Line wasn't completed until 1918. That's where we see the Republic today priding itself on their new prized fortress with Peru.

Brief description of your Foreign Policy: The foreign policy of Canada, largely follows whatever Britain is doing, but the twist to what Canada wants is economic contracts with whatever Britain does. For this very reason, Canada has set up a corporation known as the Royal Imperial Development Corporation also known as RIDC, based in Halifax that sets up factories & a labor force around British Colonies, to allow Canada to develop state resources to not be largely dependent on Canada. Of course this takes up a lot of the GDP which is approximately 40% for the corporation, but the benefits are well worth it.
Protectorates/Dominions/Satellites: None. Although, the RIDC is active in Australian Mines, as well as Egyptian Mines, Indian Mines and Cloth, and South African minerals. The company has been allowed to operate with a Director appointed by the Governor General, but it doesn't really hold sway over that countries political systems or society.
Alliance/Alignments: We support Britain as we are a dominion of them, but feel a little awkward do to what the United States did to Mexico.

The commander of 1 Canadian Air Division and Canadian NORAD Region, based in Winnipeg, is responsible for the operational command and control of Air Force activities throughout Canada and worldwide. 1 Canadian Air Division operations are carried out through eleven wings located across Canada. The commander of 2 Canadian Air Division is responsible for training and support functions. 2 Canadian Air Division operations are carried out at two wings. Wings represent the grouping of various squadrons, both operational and support, under a single tactical commander reporting to the operational commander and vary in size from several hundred personnel to several thousand. Brief description of your Foreign Policy: The foreign policy of Canada, largely follows whatever Britain is doing, but the twist to what Canada wants is economic contracts with whatever Britain does. For this very reason, Canada has set up a corporation known as the Royal Imperial Development Corporation also known as RIDC, based in Halifax that sets up factories & a labor force around British Colonies, to allow Canada to develop state resources to not be largely dependent on Canada. Of course this takes up a lot of the GDP which is approximately 40% for the corporation, but the benefits are well worth it.
Protectorates/Dominions/Satellites: None. Although, the RIDC is active in Australian Mines, as well as Egyptian Mines, Indian Mines and Cloth, and South African minerals. The company has been allowed to operate with a Director appointed by the Governor General, but it doesn't really hold sway over that countries political systems or society.
Alliance/Alignments: We support Britain, but feel a little awkward do to what the United States did to Mexico.

Goals: Bring the United States into a Joint American-Canadian rule of the America's. Expand Canada's economic might, and establish Canada as a global power. (All discreet like and stuff)
