Fort Constantine, Fairfax, Virginia-

Protector Casdin stood at the end of a long table, arms spread out. There were a few other Outcasts, sitting helmet-less around the table in their distinct black and red power armor, waiting for their leader to speak, though none were curious about what he was going to say, for it was already known. Protector Casdin cleared his throat and stood straight, arms behind his back, and looked out at his consul. "Brothers, I don't need to tell you we are at War... we all already know this. Reports of our slaughtered soldiers have undoubtedly crossed your desk at some point over the last few weeks. We are fighting a defensive War against likely the most powerful faction in the Wasteland, our bitter enemy for decades: the Enclave. They have more numbers, superior technology, some of the best military minds the wastes have ever seen...". The Outcast Commanders hung their heads with frustration, knowing the enemy is much more powerful than they are. "It's tough to accept, I know, but remember, they're still people- flesh and bone, and you can break bones and shred flesh... never forget that. With hard work and determination, I know we can turn the tides and claim victory over those Enclave bastards". Casdin shuffled some papers in front of him. "Following this meeting, I will be dispatching a small team to Downtown D.C. They will infiltrate the Capitol Building from Seward Square. The Outcasts will enter the Presidential Metro, travel to Adams Air Force Base, and from wait. We will amass a force outside the base, and when we attack, our inside forces will siege control of the Vertibird bays, then push on the the Command Center. If all goes according to plan, we can avoid major losses and gain control of the Enclave's vertibirds. It's risky, and the chances of victory are... low, but I have faith. You, men, will be commanding the forces that will launch the full-scale assault on Adams Air Force Base. Details will be filled in later. I also have good news". Casdin paused. "Last night, some of our Scribes came in contact with the Western Chapter from Lost Hills. They say that the NCR is fractured and collapsing, and that the Brotherhood is carrying out a full-scale invasion". The room erupted with cheers and applause. "So fight hard here, and maybe you'll see home again"

Taking advantage of the instability within the NCR, the Brotherhood of Steel allied with many different rebel groups when the Civil War broke out. Brotherhood and allied forces soon began to strike out at the NCR, opening a new front deep in New California. Contending with the FRoM, the Brotherhood is quickly advancing on the Boneyard, and pushing north as well, trying to gather as much land and resources as possible.

Battle for Vasalia-
Once a small, unimportant settlement in New California, Vasalia has become vital in the NCR's War Effort. Here, NCR General Gerald Madison commands the 5th Veteran Ranger Division, as well as the entirety of the NCR's forces in central California. When Brotherhood forces first started bombarding the key location, the NCR responded with multiple counter-offensives on Brotherhood positions, all resulting in failure and the further degeneration of their military strength. Currently, NCR holds onto the settlement, but it's grip loosens day by day as the steel fist of the Brotherhood comes down...

Assault on Mammoth Lakes-

NCR General Gerald Madison organized a force of more than 700 to launch a full-scale assault on the recently-captured Mammoth Lakes due to increased pressure put onto his forces by the FRoM command post located there. Concentrated in the north, 350 Troopers and Militiamen, supported by hastily activated robots, punched through FRoM lines, while Rangers advanced relatively unnoticed from the south...

3 days past as castor and his flight crew marched east to Chicago. 3 days of travelling through light forest and mud took a toll as they marched 10 km a day. After 3 days of hiking and defending against the wilds and merciless wastes, sweat poured down the brows of castor and his flight crew. Castor had gotten his once pristine old world suit dirty, mud covered, and ripped. A thick full beard had attached itself onto castors previously clean shaven face, almost completely changing his general facial appearence to be almost not recognizable of the president that he was. He made the journey with a stick he picked up in the woods as his walking stick.

On the fourth day they made it to Chicago. Tall walls surrounded some parts of the city while other parts were left exposed oddly. A guard was posed at the gates to the enclave stronghold. The flight crew surrounded castor and walked up to the guard. As they approached, the guard got more tense. "State your business" declared the soldier. An uneasy silence followed. "We're here to acquire aerial transportation to go west to get the president to his meeting." The soldier looked unconvinced. He stood their looking at what could very well amount to a bunch of vagrants. "Can you confirm what you say?" Asked the soldier with much suspicion. While his flight crew discussed castor walked forward and gave the guard his emclave ID card which confirmed it. Immediately the soldier saluted until castor told him to stop and let them in. Castor and his flight crew were given a fresh suit, a fresh shave, and a good nights sleep before being led to a captured and repaired, airship from the conflict with the brotherhood. It was beauty to lay eyes upon and even more beautiful to fly no doubt, but he'd leave that to his flight crew.

Castor and his flight crew took off inside the majestic airship bound for the west.

THE OUTCASTS
"A Brotherhood in Exile"

Second Battle for Adams Air Force Base

The first major battle of the Outcast-Enclave War would leave the Capital Wasteland in disbelief. Like a sledgehammer on an egg, the Brotherhood Outcasts crushed the Enclave with overwhelming force, capturing Adams Air Force Base and taking more than one hundred prisoners, and the majority of the Enclave's Vertibirds in the East. While a victory, it was no easy feat for the Brotherhood Outcasts. Under the cover of night, a team of Outcast Soldiers under the Command of Protector Daniel Benning infiltrated the base via the Presidential Metro. The unit would, upon arriving at the Enclave base, use stealth and wits to maneuver from the entrance to the hangers, their top priority.

At 2am, the first official shots of the battle were fired when Benning's forces took position on the broadcast tower, just across the way from the vertibirds. It was then that the Outcasts' main force would launch the assault on the main entrance, as well as the southern walls of the base. Approximately 75 Outcasts conducted the assault, outnumbered 3-1, outgunned, and fighting an "uphill battle". While the Enclave's reaction to the attack was swift, it would also leave the heart of the base exposed. Protector Benning and his men pushed to the Enclave Vertibirds with little resistance, then split into three separate forces. Two of the three units would move in to pancake the Enclave defending the walls between two forces of Outcasts, while Benning led the rest deeper into Adams Air Force Base, towards the control tower. The fighting was brutal, but the unprepared Enclave Forces had little time to establish a defensive line around the control tower. At 2:19, Benning and the Outcasts breached the Enclave's control tower, thus capturing key military personnel and cutting off communication between Adams Air Force Base and the rest of the Enclave.

At 2:35am, the remaining 126 of 350 Enclave Soldiers at Adams Air Force Base surrendered, and the airfield came under control of the Brotherhood Outcasts, who they themselves suffered 42 casualties, 56% of their attack force. Tired and beaten, the Outcasts executed most of the 126 Soldiers, taking non-commissioned officers and commissioned officers in for interrogation.

While the Outcasts lost a large chunk of their forces, they gained assets that could very well secure their victory in the war. Only 3 Enclave Vertibirds were deployed when the rest were captured, leaving the Outcasts with almost the entire arsenal of Vertibirds. In addition, the Brotherhood Outcasts gained a key location for the war against the Enclave, and more weapons, ammo, and armor than they know what to do with. Despite all the material benefits, the loss of more than half of their men has left the Outcasts in a position where they will not be able to continue to launch assaults on the Enclave for some time, and has also raised debate among the most senior members on whether or not to begin recruiting locals to fight for them. While recruitment one of many reasons the Outcasts left Lyon's Brotherhood in the first place, many believe that it may be the only way to win against the Enclave. As a Western Scribe once said, "What good are suits of power armor when you don't have bodies to fill them?"

Audiolog of Private Thomas Baker- NCR Army in New Reno

Every day things get worse and worse... we're just about out of water, nobody has had a shower in weeks, and I haven't had a full meal since I left home... the FRoM has us surrounded, their troops attack every day... our CO's have started ordering suicide charges to waste their ammo. Only thing is, it's women and children charging their lines... not us. Occasionally we'll get some new transfers, but I don't even bother learning their names anymore... they never make it more than a few hours. Some of the guys in our platoon are coming down with radiation sickness, others are so dehydrated they just lay on the ground and die. Our army in New Reno started with more than 500 men... we have less than 50, but our commanders still won't let us surrender. Some of us just walk towards the enemy lines, hands raised. Some make it, others... well, are shot, but our own guys. "Traitors" they call 'em, hell I just call 'em smart. At least they know when they've lost, unlike Brass. Well... I should probably cut this log short... never know when the browns are comin'... this is Private Thomas Baker, from Vault City. If anyone finds this, tell my daughter I love her.

Audiolog of Defender Ben Allen- Brotherhood Outcast at Bailly's Crossroads

This morning, we got word that our attack on Adams Air Force Base was a success, and we couldn't be happier. We took shifts coming down to the break room and having a beer together, listening to the radio. Afterwards we stuck Enclave helmets on pikes right in front of the outpost just in case those black devil-armored bastards wanna come mess with us. Protector McGraw said that we might be the host of a second offensive against the Enclave. According to him, Casdin wants to push the Enclave out of Virginia altogether. Honestly, I hope we go through with it. I'm sick of waiting for the enemy to pick us off, and I'm sick of fighting mutants. Let's go kick the Enclave's ass for a change. It was a fun morning, but around noon we got hit with a Super Mutant attack. They hit us pretty hard, their attack was larger than usual, and we lost a man, my good friend Rick. We uhh... we entered the building together, were gonna clear it while the rest of our boys suppressed the windows the mutants were firin' from. He took an unlucky bullet in the neck, died instantly... When the area was clear of Mutants were stripped him of his armor and weapons and buried him with the others. I never actually counted how many people we've lost here since we started keeping track: 28. 16 of 'em died during my deployment here. We've had a rough time, but we'er Outcasts, we can do it. Allen, out

Cockpit

_________

During the first few days of the flight west, castor made a point of never visiting the cockpit. It wasn't intentional though. He would have gone there, after all it'd be exciting, but he didn't wish to disturb the men. Instead he stuck to the cabins. 40 people called the zepplin home. 6 were vertibird flight crew, 1 was him, 33 were new and taken on in Chicago. 12 of the newly taken on people were power armour equipped and the rest were crew that cared for the engine and the ship in general.

Donald sat at a table in the dining room. A man in power armour stared at him from each corner of the room. A plain plate was laid in front of him with a mound of mashed potatoes and a Brahmin steak laid on it. He hesitated to eat it, but eventually caved. He was concerned that the food was irradiated. Carefully he cut the Brahmin steak into small pieces and put them into his mouth to chew. In a way, he missed new vegas. Because here he couldn't really talk with anyone. When he finished he put his hand up and a waiter came around and, after some maneuvering around other tables, picked up castors meal from the white table cloth covered table he sat at.

Don stood up from his meal and walked to the window. Dense cloud cover covered the earth below like a sea of cotton amidst the moon lit shadows . A smile stretched across his face as he allowed the cool air to strike him as he leaned out the window. The railing felt cold on his hands. He could see his breath flow out of his mouth as he exhaled and decided to go to bed. After closing the window he turned around and walked to his cabin.
The walk took him down a long white corridor of cabins. His was probably the largest. It was a 3 room suite consisting of a den, bathroom, and bedroom.

The 60 year old man took his shoes off as he entered his room and looked around. He flicked the light on and walked to the den. He flicked on the light and looked around. The room had a table with a ham radio, and bookshelves filled with books. He sat down on a rugged looking leather chair with a footrest. He turned on the radio. Static poured out of the device, but their co-ordinates were stated by the captain. Castor booted up the terminal.

I had a Brahmin steak and mashed potatoes on a plain plate today. The silvers in the wash. The soldiers have continued to keep an eye on me. At dinner 4 stared at me. It's very safe on board this airship, at least for me. To have 4 guards on me when I'm the only non crew tells me that it's probably safer then the speech I gave in Washington. In fact it probably is because I haven't been shot at today. Although these soldiers aren't as tested as Winters so there is that.

Today we crossed the border into Kansas, or what would be Kansas before the Great War. This flight has taken 3 days to get here from Chicago and I miss the excitement of diplomacy. Unfortunately this is the dangerous part of the trip. Reports from the enclaves exodus east have stated that these tribals are very militant. Things are looking up though, I'm only 3 days flight from getting to decide if my selected VP Is good for the VP position.

- Donald J Castor
- President of the United States of the United States of America and the Enclave

The Good Commander

Postby The NAR » Sun Nov 15, 2015 9:49 am

Shepard stuffed the backpack full with everything from food, to chems, to weapons and ammunition. Dressed in his Armored Vault 101 Jumpsuit, he felt a euphoria that brought him back to the days before the Brotherhood and the Enclave went to War... When he emerged from Vault 101 as the Lone Wanderer, and set out after his father. He sighed as tucked the framed picture of him and his father in the jacket pocket... The Picture of his 10th birthday, down in the Vault. Man, how things have changed.

An older man in black combat armor walked into the room and raised an eyebrow the pack. "Are yoy going on a raid or somethin?" he Asked, crossing his arms in the doorway.

"No" answered Shepard, gathering other small items from aroune room.

"Where are you going then?" asked the man, who Shepard recognized as Snake, one of the commanding officers of the Sindicate.

"Home" Shepard answered.

"To the Capital Wasteland? That place is a fucking warzone!"

"Its always been a warzone, Snake, but theres a war up there and I belongside the Brotherhood of Steel"

"What? Didnt you fight to destroy them?

"The tyrants, yes, but the Outcasts will establish order, if the right person is in charge"

"This is rediculous, we need you in THIS war, Shepard. You cant act in two plays at the salme time". Shepard slung the backpack over his shoulder and chuckled.

"Didnt plan on it".

With Snake still arguing, Shepard proceeded to depart from Point Lookout and return to his homeland...

Confused, Blackhall approached Shepard and spoke uiety to him.

BROTHERHOOD OUTCASTS

In the weeks since the Second Battle of Adams, the Brotherhood Outcasts have been hit with both soaring morale, and bitter internal disagreement as the original Outcasts find Lyon's Remnants attempting to force their ideas into the Military Doctrine. While, as Protector Casdin outlines, it violates the Codex, the staggering casualty rates of the Outcast-Enclave War is only proving the point of outspoken Lyonists like Rothchild, Defender Cross, and other former-Brothers of Steel. While the Outcasts have managed victories in strategic places like Adams Air Force Base, the toll from Enclave attacks have only now presented themselves in this time of virtual cease-fire. Only when given the chance to reorganize their forces and gather their strength did the Outcasts realize how little they had left. In the two months the war had been raging, almost a third of the Brotherhood Outcasts were either dead or unable to participate and combat.

Thus, this has pushed Outcast Command to breaking point, forcing Protector Casdin to initiate the Traitor Act. Much to the displeasure of many of the Outcasts more senior members, the Traitor Act will bring forth the recruitment of locals, though it isn't as open as the Enclave... not by a long shot. Under the acts, new Initiates will undergo one month of grueling physical and mental training where hazing laws are non-existed (unlike in the Enclave, where Hazing is illegal). When granted Combat-status, the Initiate will be sent to live combat zones without power armor (as a means to preserve the suits available), but with red and black combat armor and the most basic weapons. Because of these standards, only 40% of recruits are poised to survive to reach Defender-status and get their suit of Power Armor.

Though, it is better than nothing. In the weeks since it was put into effect, the Outcast's ranks have bolstered nearly 60%- the surge of Initiates relieving undermanned positions and providing the men with a real chance against the feared Enclave Death Teams who have slaughtered entire outposts in the past.

BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL

In the West, the Brotherhood's War against the New California Republic couldn't be going better. With the NCR in a state of disarray, the armies that don't surrender to the BoS are utterly slaughtered, which has led to the surrender of the Boneyard to the Brotherhood of Steel. For the first time in decades, the Brotherhood is conducting major military operations and succeeding in them- a feat that would have been unimaginable 2 years prior. While the FRoM's advance has drawn the most senior divisions away from the coast, making the Brotherhood's job easy, the Brotherhood of Steel does not consider the FRoM an ally, nor does those under the Elder. In the area quickly becoming known as the New California Federation, great distaste for the FRoM is seen as NCR Citizens don't want to be under another corrupt Government that will so easily turn on them like the New California Republic. Though, for the sake of the War Effort, the High Elder sends a telegram to the President of the Free Republic.

To Samuel Hughes, President of the Free Republic of the Mojave-

On behalf of the good people of California, and the Brotherhood of Steel, I would like to extend a temporary Olive Branch in order to secure peace in New California, once the NCR is defeated. I am no idiot- I know how your people feel about the Brotherhood and I am not asking for an alliance, but an opportunity to see an end to conflict in the West. If you desire this peace, Mr. President, contact me. If not, then it is inevitable that our armies will clash when the NCR's crash.

Steel be with You.

Collapse of New Reno Defenses

As New Reno's small remaining garrison began to collapse it broke out into infighting. Upon the news of this infighting the FRoM sent in a force of 50 Black Hand Spec. Ops to clear out the remaining resistance. The Siege ended the next morning at 06:37 when some of the besieging forces of, around 600 men, marched on the city with reinforcements from Virginia City numbering around 1,000, the collective force met in the town center and began securing buildings and posts to secure the city. There were a total of 250 NCR Forces that had surrendered towards the end of the siege though many that tried to surrender were shot by their own men and injured.

The next day at 19:00 as the sun began to set, General Francois, one of the Founding Members of the FRoM stood before the city and spoke. "Today we say goodbye to a failed dream, one that once seemed so right, so necessary, one that was held by those who ran the New California Republic. That republic was a glorious one, indeed many of it's leaders are honored by members of our new movement and rightly so, for the forefathers of the NCR were enlightened, bright, and respectable folks who new that changes would be needed to see a civilized and orderly land. Well, good people of New Reno, you all know how that ended. The NCR became corrupt under Kimball, and after his assassination, it only got worse. Now you're own military is trying to establish some kind of a Fascist state out in the once free and lively NCR. It is the failure of former President Kimball, and the current President, who I need not name, who have destroyed the dream of our people. That is what our movement is, the Sunset Movement, the dream of our people reinvigorated, revitalized, and reformed with a system that will last through the ages. The voices of our people will ever endure good people of New Reno, and with liberties, freedom and in brotherhood with our fellow neighbors, we will see democracy again. That is why, I ask you to join our movement, the Sunset Movement, to see that the land of the Setting Sun is freed from tyrants and rid of crime, only together can we reach that greatest of goals, not only a standard of life only seen pre-war, but true civil liberties and the ability to sit back and know that our future is secure. Good people of New Reno, I ask that you help us in that greatest of projects, step by step, as we move towards the Reformation of the United States of America." The crowd had mixed reactions, some cheered, many remained silent, a few of the casino owners and goers booed or sounded opposed to the idea, but regardless, the Sunset Movement was now in swing as the liberation of California was underway.

New Vegas

4 days later the FRoM was fully aware of the victory against the NCR and a rise of patriotism ensued. Samuel Hughes organized a major speech for the next day in front of the Lucky 38 and finally heard a reply from the men at Nellis Airbase, they had received a copy of the Vertibird Schematics, and they were ready to begin it's construction. Upon that news, Samuel Hughes had a platoon from the Homeguard Battalion begin advertising the Civilian Work Corps which would provide easy pay for repairing the infrastructure allowing the military to focus on the war.

The next day came and Sam Hughes stood before a crowd of around a thousand or so people, his voice was to be broadcast throughout the FRoM as he spoke. "People of the Mojave, today I can confirm a victory in New Reno, one done without any real violence and strife, one conducted humanely and with respect to all those who lived oppressed in that city. The Dawn Movement is successful and we have a Free Republic, but that is not sufficient for any man with fair ethics. Our neighbors need us, they have been tricked for years by Kimball who corrupted their Republic and trashed their civil rights as he led campaigns throughout the Mojave and beyond. This is why, we of the Mojave must accept that our purpose is more than self liberation, but also lending a hand to those in need when so desired as it is now. I originally was going to stay neutral in this war, but word of massacres by the Junta forces along our border forced me into action, and now our brothers in Fresno rise up to call upon us for help so I say this: Yes, yes I will help you're people, us Mojave citizens are more than just a group of selfish armed neutralists, we are a caring, empathetic people who are willing to help those in need. But they need more than independence, like the people of Arizona did, they need unity, unity with a system proven of working, and to do so, just as I proposed the successful Dawn Movement, now I propose the Sunset Movement, one that like the sun will set over the West and allow all of our peoples to be free and united together. This Sunset Movement will result in a Sunset Republic across the West Coast and allow us to eventually focus on the greatest scourge of all, the Legions of Caligula and Vulpes to the East. So my friends it's time for us to come together for a greater cause, one that will see even more people free on those greatest of principles, Liberty, Equality and Brotherhood. Long live the Free Republic of the Mojave, and Long Live the Sunset Movement!" The crowd began cheering and the Homeguard Platoon began giving our fliers for the Civilian Work Corps which by the end of the day had 150 members and was growing, they got to work tearing down old buildings and scrapping materials which the Homeguard Battalion transported to the Nellis Airbase to construct a Vertibird. Soon the Sunset Movement might have one in a month or so, and when the Sunset Movement is given wings, she will soar.

It would take quite some time for O'neil to get anywhere after he left the main dome where all those big talking floating robots had been.
Partially due to the fact that there were various bizzare creatures and people around that he had not seen before, trying to make him quite dead.

Luckily he was both a good shot and good at hiding when someone was chasing him and thus was able to manage to take down anything trying to bring him harm, even if it was difficult and he did need a few stimpacks along the way.

It wouldnt take him very long before he had started to feel the need to put small stashes of things everywhere and attach something to the stashes to let him know where they were later on so he didnt permanently lose them as he went around the various places, looting what he could.

Eventually, during all his scavenging and dodging various things trying to kill him O'Neil managed to come across a swift robot trying to attack him. With the sonic blaster thingy, he managed to momentarily disable the machine and reprogram it for his needs. In this case, finding all his stashes and taking the stuff from there, back to the sink, while he wandered around gathering up whatever bits and pieces that were left behind when the other people that were once here, had gone away. seed packets and various plant related things from the botanical garden, electronics and parts of mechanical devices and pre-war money strewn around. The weapons and outfits of various people and people-like things that failed in their attempt to slay him. All the stuff from all of Elijha's secret hiding spots that he would find over time, either by simple happenstance of wandering or due to being chased in a certain direction that just happened to land him near one of these hideouts full of cool stuff.

All that pre-war loot ignored by the courier and Ulysses And Elijha, and abandoned by the people that once lived and worked there, were now his for the taking. And take he did. Over the course of the next few months, perhaps even going onto a year or two, O'Neil would harvest the place for any and all loot that the courier had missed or just not cared enough about to take with him. parts from appliances and other home machinery, scrap electronics and piles of pre-war cash. bits and pieces from robots and whatever machinery was falling apart around the crater.
You name it, if it was something that looked like salvage and he could physically take it with him, he did, leaving them in special stashes along the way for the robot to come pick them up and take them back to the sink, where he would reside when he wasn't scavenging and battling everything that came his way, until one day there just wasn't anything left. Not too surprising given that the courier had come, it seemed, and taken care of all the major important dangerous creatures on their way through the crater of big mountain. Leaving O'Neil to just take care of the remains left behind.
Or at least those that deigned to confront him. Surely there were some that after awhile of him making a mess of their brethren, learned to stay out of his way and hide until he left. No way he killed everything there he figured, and the occasional sound of movement or a shadow on the corner of his vision every so often, seemed to solidify that idea. That or he was just growing paranoid. A year or two in a big sciencey crater will do that to ya.

That and all the science stuff he was doing in the meantime between scavenges for pre-war goodies.

Yes, while the think tank squalered in their dome, of which he had cleared out all the back rooms in of which of all of their goodies awhile ago,
O'Neil was using his newfound abilities thanks to the upgrades from the implanted machines inside him and the autodoc's help, to continue research in the various domes, completing unfinished works, creating new ones based on nothing but notes and terminal entries, restarting what was abandoned 200 years ago.

Yes, now with his added intelligence and physical prowess, O'Neil was deigning himself the new head researcher of big mountain in between harvesting and scavenging and general looting. Some of which went back into the machines they fell out of as he did his best, as best as one person could do, to repair much of the science labs and clean out nasty little unwanted guests in them and furthering the name of science in the various fields that the crater had to offer.

And he got a talking stealth suit out of it. Fully upgraded thanks to all the dangerous, exciting testing he did to update and improve its functions.

Castor shut down his terminal and after putting on his provided pyjamas he walked over to his bed. He laid flat on his back and looked up at ceiling thinking of all that had transpired. As he dozed off he was looking forward to seeing his vault and vertibird refuelling post once again.

_____

BOOM! Castor awoke in a cold sweat. Thunder roared outside his window and lightning spelled out doom in the terrestrial downpour that canvassed the tilting zepplin in the night sky. Sitting up in bed castor glanced at his door. Under the doorway was revealed the flashing red light that characterized an emergency filled the hallway. Desperate to discover what he could only imagine had transpired in his slumber he hastily threw on the clothes he wore the night before. He swung open the door and noticed the doors to be closed but the carpet scuffed as if to indicate a rush of some kind had occurred earlier. The disembodied voice of the captain echoed through the halls of the vessel via intercom, screaming the words "All hands to your stations". Startled, rushed cautiously towards the bridge. The ship seemed to be holding steady but Castor wasn't sure how long it would last in this weather before the ship gave way to the elements.

Castor opened the door to the bridge for the first time since departure. Immediately castor noticed the lack of salutes but dismissed it as the situation around them was pretty intense, so intense as to have their very lives on the line. "Captain!" The president yelled, trying to make himself heard over the sound of the storm outside and the cabins hustle and bustle. "Take us down!" He commanded. The captain stood for a moment suspended in disbelief. The two stared at each other for a few moments as the captain, who had attempted to ensure that the president arrived at his destination on time, spoke up. "But sir, your meeting.." But castor cut him off "will mean nothing if we aren't alive to be a part of it. Now take us down to the surface and land captain". The captain processed the commands, he was the captain but that was the president, he wasn't certain who had command in this situation but he assumed it was himself as the president wouldn't order him to do something the president could do. "Now!" The normally calm president ordered in an effort to avoid perishing by crash. The captain nodded and stated "yes sir" as his confidence was caught by the presidents fervour. Within the minute order began to fly out of the captains mouth and the ship began to fall from the sky.

"Good job captain" castor said in a congratulatory manor, swatting aside any thoughts of calling the captain a dingbat in the process. The president stood on the bridge and watched the ship rejoin earth. But he couldn't help but get a bad feeling about the territory around the ship. What was visible showed large signs of legion habitation. "Send an emergency signal" Castor said to a crew member before turning to the intercom, closing the distance, and stating into it "All Soldiers report to the hanger and prep the vertibirds for departure. All soldiers report to the hanger and prepare the vertibirds for departure.". When Castors eyes met the captains eyes the captain saw a side of castor that he hadn't seen on the flight. Castor, a kind old gentleman that was the president of the enclave, defender of freedom, representative of all on American soil, and friend to all. The captain saw the side of castor that feared death and more importantly a side that feared the death of those aboard the ship for he cared deeply for all those around him. At that moment the captain nodded, understanding the abruptness of the presidents entry and orders and his own misconduct even with good intentions. Seeing that castor smiled and nodded back. As he nodded he looked at the captains name tag and couldn't help but notice that he didn't recognize the name tag. "As you were captain" castor declared coldly "As you were" Castor repeated quieter, knowing that the captain he saw before him was not a member of the crew when they took off. "Captain." Castor stated abruptly to gain the attention of the imposter. "I want to see you in the lounge in one hour at 06:00 and when we land be on guard, make no mistake, we are in legion territory. Soon after the zepplin landed on legion soil.
