The preferred Sub-Machine gun is the British-Made Sterling submachine gun, along with the German MP-40. The group does not have any aerial transports, but does maintain a secret line of transport ships, to move discreetly among countries.
Militia: 4,500 strong Kentai (Militia), which handles the strong-arm of the group. They specialize in Guerrilla tactics, but never take the enemy full-on. They were involved in the Korean-War, and trained along the lines of the North.
Other information: They believe in causing chaos, and public disorder around the globe, to establish a "New-World Order". They mostly are discreet in area's not very-well policed, but they do have access to off-shore swiss accounts which they use to set-up business fronts, but nothing really expensive, so they are not someone to be taken down easily. (1953) Zaisser Enters Power
After the death of Stalin, there was a large reformist current in both Russia and East Germany. This contrasted starkly with the then Party Chairman Ulbricht's staunch Stalinist views. With the economy starting to lag behind it's neighbor, West Germany, Ulbricht found himself isolated both domestically and in Moscow. He was quickly deposed in favor of Wilhelm Zaisser, who intended to make drastic changes to the nation in all fronts.
(1954) Volkswirtschaftsreform is Passed
Zaisser knew that the economic and educational sectors would have to be fixed first to guarantee a healthy and stable nation. He publicly stated that to succeed, the DDR would have to emphasize a doctrine of "Moderately better quantity, with a slight decrease in quantity." The outline of Volkswirtschaftsreform's "Five Points" is below.

With revenues from a thriving industrial sector, and ingenuity from a budding scientific sector, it was time for the Government to put it to use. Zaisser ordered that the size of the Nationale Volksarmee be increased by a third, and that the military undergo a far reaching modernization program, with the newest weaponry being pumped out of domestic factories and flown in from Moscow.
(1968) Zaisser Died, Kraas Rised
Zaisser dies in his sleep of natural causes. Head of the nation for just over two decades, he is given a grandoise funeral. Herrmann Kraas, Zaisser's protege, takes the reigns of the Volkspartei and becomes Chairman at the age of forty.

Domestic Policy: Since the 1920s and 1930s the Scandinavian countries have pursued a policy of a social welfare state, this has been intensified after the second world war and the unification of the countries into a single entity, and the Social Democratic rule that followed.
The policies have been a mix of social and economic progressivism, conservatism and corporativism. A large welfare state is built on a high tax rate with a strong state. Prosperity has been able to grow with the state brokering between the trade unions of the FFF (Unified Trade Unions) and the NAO (Nordic Employer Organisation). There is great social equality, with medium income gaps.
There is a great education system, compulsory education is from the age of 6 years old up until the age of 18, with day care effectively taking a collective care in the upbringing of the children, to allow for the parents to continue to work, allowing for a very high employment amongst the population. The school is effectively used to teach the children social democratic and christian values, along with a large focus on making them ready for work. The children are all given the same, free education however there are special classes for the gifted elite.
The society however has quite strict gender roles, which has been thoroughly established by both the current prime minister and his predecessor. Women are not allowed to be policemen, priests or serve in the military, however almost all women are employed and have their own income. The parliament has a very small share of women, below 10% and the cabinet lacks female ministers. This, in combination with the extensive day care has made the nativity remain quite high, at around 3 children per woman.
The society is still tolerant to the people who remain within acceptable boundaries. Homosexuality and sexual deviance is still considered taboo, and not partaking in the state church activities aswell. The society is inclusive to the few immigrants that reside within it, with most being workforce immigration from Southern Europe who are to either return home after a set number of years or assimilate into society. Non-european immigration is negligible, and most people outside the cities rarely encounter any non-europeans.
The Radio and Television is regulated by a state monopoly, the NR (Nordic Radio) and NTV (Nordic Television) are the only two distributors, they are both financed by taxes from the public and distributes news, documentaries and some entertainment and panel shows. Its main goal is to be educative for the people. The newspapers are however free and private.
The state church (Church of the Nordic Realm) is the largest religious organisation with 94% of the population connected to this church, however only around half are actively religious. The minority religions consist of various other protestant churches, the catholic church, jewish and eastern orthodox. 4% are not a member of any religion.

Military Description: The military (Krigsmakten) is divided into 3 parts, the Imperial Army (Kejserliga Armén), the Imperial Navy (Kejserliga Flottan) and the Imperial Air Force (Kejserliga Flygvapnet). All 3 are headed by a commander-in-chief who in turn answers to the Supreme Commander and the Emperor. It is technologicaly advanced with almost exclusively domestic arms industry, producing ships, aircrafts, tanks, vehicles, artillery pieces, equipment etc.
The military builds on having a mix of conscription and proffessional military, all men are conscripted for 2 years after the secondary school (the women are conscripted aswell, but into the civilian sector) and after served time the most choose to remain conscripts, exercising once every two years or so. Others however become reserves, and are enlisted in the National Guard and are to be ready within a couple of weeks notice, whilst a minority becomes active soldiers. The majority of those being officers with a few special ops (Parachuters, Mountaineers etc.).
Strengths and Weaknesses: The military is relatively big if all soldiers are called, however the conscripts will take some time to equip and get into battle positions. The actives and reserves are however to be ready within a moments notice.
The military is only focused on defence of the nation and is rather effective at such, however it has no plans and is terribly ineffective in interventions and attacks on foreign soil. It is also a rather effective military however it lacks innovation in tactics despite having modern technologies.

The economy is highly efficient and most of the profits are invested back into the corporations and new endeavours, as per government decrees. It has a growing service sector which encompasses a large part of the economy, whilst the agriculture plays a relatively small part, even though the country is relatively self-sustaining due to subsidies.
Due to the prosperity of the nordic model, the natural resources of iron and oil and from gold reserves from the second world war the economy is prosperous, as the Scandinavians enjoy one of the highest standards of living in the world, and the country as a whole is one of the largest economies, however still behind nations such as Germany, France and Italy. It however seems to be one of the top 10 economies of the world.
The largest trading partners are in Europe with the most prominent being Germany and Finland.
Description of Your Nation's Government: The Government is formally appointed by the Emperor, even though the one with the largest parliamentary mandate is always made prime minister, and as such the Social Democratic Party has ruled since the formation of the Nordic, either holding a majority alone or relying on that the Communist Party does not vote for the liberal alternative.
The Nordic Realm is a highly centralised nation, with the people only voting for local municipality and the Riksdag. The local municipality only deals with smaller issues with regards to maintain the city. Health care, school etc. is operated by the state and the regions (län), and the administration of the regions are appointed by the government, guaranteeing national unity and the same rights and privileges to all citizens.

History of your Nation: After the Second World War, the various governments of the Scandiavian nations, excluding Finland due to the relationship with the Soviet Union, began talks about a common currency, a common market and a military alliance. And in the early 50s after the formation of NATO and the Warsaw Pact the countries formed the Nordic Union, with a single currency, market and defence. However still remaining independent nations.
Further moves were made towards a nordic state, a common foreign policy was shortly aftter introduced and a common language compromising the 4 different Scandinavian languages, which would be taught to the children to form increased unity. Finland entered the currency cooperation and single market in 1959, however stayed out of the defence and foreign policy.
And then, in 1962 the decision was made to establish a Nordic state. The Swedish heir Carl Gustaf was betrothed to a Danish princess and the various governments gave up more and more of their responsibilities to the Nordic Union, and after the referendums in each of the states and in 1966 the first common elections were held to elect a Nordic government, the Social Democrats won with their own majority and a government was made under the leadership of Frederik Hedtoft as prime minister and Tage Erlander as deputy, with Erlander stepping down in 1967 and Hedtoft in 1977 and was replaced by the current prime minister.

The Swedish heir Carl Gustaf was betrothed to a Danish princess and the various governments gave up more and more of their responsibilities to the Nordic Union, and after the referendums in each of the states and in 1966 the first common elections were held to elect a Nordic government, the Social Democrats won with their own majority and a government was made under the leadership of Frederik Hedtoft as prime minister and Tage Erlander as deputy, with Erlander stepping down in 1967 and Hedtoft in 1977 and was replaced by the current prime minister.

I don't think the Danish or Norweigans would give up their independence so easily and neither do I think it's possible to create a new ldnguage for these countries in such a short time span. Also 28 million for not even all of Scandinavia in 1983 seems like a stretch.

Military Description: The technology and equipment of the Royal Army is an advanced one compared to other militaries in Europe, Italy being the country that contains a good Arms Manufacturing and Armor Manufacturing Sector. The Training is also quite good with such prestigious places of training as the Academy at Modena, along with its magnificent shock troops that have been reinstated by the High Command.
Strengths and Weaknesses: The Royal Army mainly focuses on mobile warfare, taking the German example of Blitzkrieg and applying it in places where there is good infrastructure. On open plains, regular mobile warfare concepts are used. The Army is somewhat bad at static warfare, but the Military High Command seeks to change that sometime soon.
Law Enforcement: Law Enforcement in Italy is effective in putting down criminal activity, especially in the regions of Southern Italy with high Mafia populations. The Mafia was ruthlessly hunted down in the past decades and its power was diminished severely. Description of Your Nation's Government: The Italian Government is a Monarchy, but with some Democratic ideals and systems implemented into the Monarchial way of government. Ministers and government officials are chosen by merit and the skill of their work, not political loyalty. This has made the government more effective in important decisions, and the daily matters of Italy.
History of your Nation: After the defeat of Italy in WW2, the country held a vote on whether to retain the Monarchy or make a new Republic. The Monarchists won out after the North, the heartland of the Savoy Kings, voted more for the Monarchy. The Vatican decided to support the retaining of the Monarchy, fearing a Communist takeover. The Treaty of Paris was much better for the Italians, as many of their territories both Colonial and in Europe were retained, Albania, coastal Libya, and Eritrea being kept but Ethiopia becoming independent. Istria stayed in Italy against the wishes of the Yugoslavs. The US Government was quick to recognize the results of the vote because of fears that a Communist Italian Republic would rise in the post-war atmosphere that rose in the ashes of the war.
Albanian partisan resistance continued 10 years after the war, finally ending in the 1950s. Coastal Libya was kept in the Kingdom of Italy due to the fact that Italians were a majority in the area and wished to stay in Italy. Most Arabs were located in the arid part of Libya where they became a part of the newly established United Kingdom of Libya. Eritrea stayed in the Kingdom after a plebiscite where the choices were to either unite with Ethiopia or remain in Italy, in which many Eritreans voted to remain in the country because the building of infrastructure, investment in Eritrea, and the developing of Eritrea was particularly high during Italian rule and the local Eritreans were treated very well and not bothered with.

(1953) Zaisser Enters Power
After the death of Stalin, there was a large reformist current in both Russia and East Germany. This contrasted starkly with the then Party Chairman Ulbricht's staunch Stalinist views. With the economy starting to lag behind it's neighbor, West Germany, Ulbricht found himself isolated both domestically and in Moscow. He was quickly deposed in favor of Wilhelm Zaisser, who intended to make drastic changes to the nation in all fronts.
(1954) Volkswirtschaftsreform is Passed
Zaisser knew that the economic and educational sectors would have to be fixed first to guarantee a healthy and stable nation. He publicly stated that to succeed, the DDR would have to emphasize a doctrine of "Moderately better quantity, with a slight decrease in quantity." The outline of Volkswirtschaftsreform's "Five Points" is below.

Volkswirtschaftsreform created huge demand for quality but affordable East German goods throughout Eastern Europe and the Balkans, along with putting East Germany as an intellectual powerhouse that outpaced it's Communist neighbors drastically. The blooming artist and artisan enterprises made East Berlin an artistic center. The reform reaffirmed in the minds of the populace that Communism works.

As the economy flourished and as both Zaisser's public approval and the approval of the Party skyrocketed, Zaisser understood that now was the time to improve the rights of the proletariat, to let all Communists openly discuss which way was best to achieve the utopia imagined by Marx. Volkspolitischenreform opened the Volkskammer to all Communistic parties, and set up democratic elections for representatives in the Volkskammer. Expectedly, Zaisser's Volkspartei took a huge majority in the elections.

With revenues from a thriving industrial sector, and ingenuity from a budding scientific sector, it was time for the Government to put it to use. Zaisser ordered that the size of the Nationale Volksarmee be increased by a third, and that the military undergo a far reaching modernization program, with the newest weaponry being pumped out of domestic factories and flown in from Moscow.
(1968) Zaisser Died, Kraas Rised
Zaisser dies in his sleep of natural causes. Head of the nation for just over two decades, he is given a grandoise funeral. Herrmann Kraas, Zaisser's protege, takes the reigns of the Volkspartei and becomes Chairman at the age of forty.

Foreign Policy: The Nordic Realm is a neutral nation, trying to not align itself with the Soviet Union or the United States, although in all secrecy it has cooperation with the United States in case of war. It stands outside of most international agreements besidess the European Free Trade Agreement. It however has extensive cooperation with the bordering nation of FInland with whom it shares open borders and free movement of goods, persons and money, the two countries also share a common currency, the Nordic Krona and have a deep military cooperation NFA, the Nordic Defence Alliance.
There is more cooperation with the western nations, however relations can be straining at times, as the people of the Nordic has developed a somewhat anti-US and anti-imperialism sentiment, which is only fueled on by the Reagan administration and its foreign policy The Nordic seeks to gain a leading position amongst the neutral nations of Europe, so that they can unite as a third-way, independent from both the Warsaw Pact and NATO.
Domestic Policy: Since the 1920s and 1930s the Scandinavian countries have pursued a policy of a social welfare state, this has been intensified after the second world war and the unification of the countries into a single entity, and the Social Democratic rule that followed.
The policies have been a mix of social and economic progressivism, conservatism and corporativism. A large welfare state is built on a high tax rate with a strong state. Prosperity has been able to grow with the state brokering between the trade unions of the FFF (Unified Trade Unions) and the NAO (Nordic Employer Organisation). There is great social equality, with medium income gaps.
There is a great education system, compulsory education is from the age of 6 years old up until the age of 18, with day care effectively taking a collective care in the upbringing of the children, to allow for the parents to continue to work, allowing for a very high employment amongst the population. The school is effectively used to teach the children social democratic and christian values, along with a large focus on making them ready for work. The children are all given the same, free education however there are special classes for the gifted elite.
The society however has quite strict gender roles, which has been thoroughly established by both the current prime minister and his predecessor. Women are not allowed to be policemen, priests or serve in the military, however almost all women are employed and have their own income. The parliament has a very small share of women, below 10% and the cabinet lacks female ministers. This, in combination with the extensive day care has made the nativity remain quite high, at around 3 children per woman.
The society is still tolerant to the people who remain within acceptable boundaries. Homosexuality and sexual deviance is still considered taboo, and not partaking in the state church activities aswell. The society is inclusive to the few immigrants that reside within it, with most being workforce immigration from Southern Europe who are to either return home after a set number of years or assimilate into society. Non-european immigration is negligible, and most people outside the cities rarely encounter any non-europeans.
The Radio and Television is regulated by a state monopoly, the NR (Nordic Radio) and NTV (Nordic Television) are the only two distributors, they are both financed by taxes from the public and distributes news, documentaries and some entertainment and panel shows. Its main goal is to be educative for the people. The newspapers are however free and private.
The state church (Church of the Nordic Realm) is the largest religious organisation with 94% of the population connected to this church, however only around half are actively religious. The minority religions consist of various other protestant churches, the catholic church, jewish and eastern orthodox. 4% are not a member of any religion.

Military Description: The military (Krigsmakten) is divided into 3 parts, the Imperial Army (Kejserliga Armén), the Imperial Navy (Kejserliga Flottan) and the Imperial Air Force (Kejserliga Flygvapnet). All 3 are headed by a commander-in-chief who in turn answers to the Supreme Commander and the Emperor. It is technologicaly advanced with almost exclusively domestic arms industry, producing ships, aircrafts, tanks, vehicles, artillery pieces, equipment etc.
The military builds on having a mix of conscription and proffessional military, all men are conscripted for 2 years after the secondary school (the women are conscripted aswell, but into the civilian sector) and after served time the most choose to remain conscripts, exercising once every two years or so. Others however become reserves, and are enlisted in the National Guard and are to be ready within a couple of weeks notice, whilst a minority becomes active soldiers. The majority of those being officers with a few special ops (Parachuters, Mountaineers etc.).
Strengths and Weaknesses: The military is relatively big if all soldiers are called, however the conscripts will take some time to equip and get into battle positions. The actives and reserves are however to be ready within a moments notice.
The military is only focused on defence of the nation and is rather effective at such, however it has no plans and is terribly ineffective in interventions and attacks on foreign soil. It is also a rather effective military however it lacks innovation in tactics despite having modern technologies.
The military also possesses nuclear weapons, around 60, developed since the 50s and onwards
Law Enforcement: The Law Enforcement are all controlled by the state, however it is divided into several departements in the country corresponding to the various regions (län). A total of 30 or so police departements. They are all centrally governed by the Police Board of the Realm, Rikspolisstyrelsen, in Stockholm.
The punishments are rather light, and prison is to be rehabilitating instead of punishing, however for the worst of criminals life sentence is issued, which can only be pardoned by the Emperor. The court is organised into three levels, the lowest being simply court (Domstol), existing in most cities, followed by royal court (Hovrätt), a total of 10 around the country and then finally the Supreme Court (Högsta Domstolen), with its judges being appointed by the Emperor.

Description of Your Nation's Economy: The economy is primarily based around export, with the largest export being automobiles, machine parts, chemical products, ships, timber, electricity, oil and iron ore. The economy is highly efficient and most of the profits are invested back into the corporations and new endeavours, as per government decrees. It has a growing service sector which encompasses a large part of the economy, whilst the agriculture plays a relatively small part, even though the country is relatively self-sustaining due to subsidies.
Due to the prosperity of the nordic model, the natural resources of iron and oil and from gold reserves from the second world war the economy is prosperous, as the Scandinavians enjoy one of the highest standards of living in the world, and the country as a whole is one of the largest economies, however still behind nations such as Germany, France and Italy. It however seems to be one of the top 10 economies of the world.
The largest trading partners are in Europe with the most prominent being Germany and Finland.
Description of Your Nation's Government: The Government is formally appointed by the Emperor, even though the one with the largest parliamentary mandate is always made prime minister, and as such the Social Democratic Party has ruled since the formation of the Nordic, either holding a majority alone or relying on that the Communist Party does not vote for the liberal alternative.
The Nordic Realm is a highly centralised nation, with the people only voting for local municipality and the Riksdag. The local municipality only deals with smaller issues with regards to maintain the city. Health care, school etc. is operated by the state and the regions (län), and the administration of the regions are appointed by the government, guaranteeing national unity and the same rights and privileges to all citizens.
Elections are held every fourth year, the last one was in 1982 where the results were as following:

History of your Nation: After the Second World War, the various governments of the Scandiavian nations, excluding Finland due to the relationship with the Soviet Union, began talks about a common currency, a common market and a military alliance. And in the early 50s after the formation of NATO and the Warsaw Pact the countries formed the Nordic Union, with a single currency, market and defence. However still remaining independent nations.
Further moves were made towards a nordic state, a common foreign policy was shortly aftter introduced and a common language compromising the 4 different Scandinavian languages, which would be taught to the children to form increased unity. Finland entered the currency cooperation and single market in 1959, however stayed out of the defence and foreign policy.
And then, in 1962 the decision was made to establish a Nordic state. The Swedish heir Carl Gustaf was betrothed to a Danish princess and the various governments gave up more and more of their responsibilities to the Nordic Union, and after the referendums in each of the states and in 1966 the first common elections were held to elect a Nordic government, the Social Democrats won with their own majority and a government was made under the leadership of Frederik Hedtoft as prime minister and Tage Erlander as deputy, with Erlander stepping down in 1967 and Hedtoft in 1977 and was replaced by the current prime minister.

Military Description: The technology and equipment of the Royal Army is an advanced one compared to other militaries in Europe, Italy being the country that contains a good Arms Manufacturing and Armor Manufacturing Sector. The Training is also quite good with such prestigious places of training as the Academy at Modena, along with its magnificent shock troops that have been reinstated by the High Command.
Strengths and Weaknesses: The Royal Army mainly focuses on mobile warfare, taking the German example of Blitzkrieg and applying it in places where there is good infrastructure. On open plains, regular mobile warfare concepts are used. The Army is somewhat bad at static warfare, but the Military High Command seeks to change that sometime soon.
Law Enforcement: Law Enforcement in Italy is effective in putting down criminal activity, especially in the regions of Southern Italy with high Mafia populations. The Mafia was ruthlessly hunted down in the past decades and its power was diminished severely. The Carabinieri is one of those effective police forces, but it is a Military Police force, keeping order in the military and civilian populations.
