On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918 CE, the trenches finally fell silent. The Great War was over. The Central Powers had lost. In 1919, the Treaty of Versailles was signed, imposing harsh punishments on the former Central Powers. In 1922, the young Soviet Union finally overcomes the forces of the White Army. In 1930, the Great Depression ruined many world economies.

Now, in 1933, Adolf Hitler has taken power in Germany, promising to restore Germany's former government. The Weimar Republic has collapsed. In the US, FDR is elected, promising to restore prosperity to the US economy. Will the world be engulfed in another World War? Will the Americans see the Swastika rise over the Washington Monument? Will the Soviets be forced to embrace Capitalism? Will the Axis even exist? It is up to you, RPers.

King Leopold sat down at his office desk, as his Aide de camp walked in. "I would like a status report on Europe, please." Leopold said to his Aide. "Well. Currently this is the map of Europe:."Good..well, what's with Hitler?" Leopold asked. "Hitler is the new German Fuhrer, A Fascist Nazi by heart, also, Trotsky has taken power in Russia.. "Hm." Leopold mumbled. "We're friendly with France and the UK, but it might hamper our ability to conquer and well, do anything really. So I suggest we ally with Germany, since we would be a potential target for invasion. For the good of the Belgian people!" His aide said. "I'll do that later,you are dismissed." Leopold dismissed his aid and started writing a letter to the German Fuhrer.

I, President Lin Sen of the Republic of China, would like to thank you for stopping aggression efforts in the harsh times of the Chinese civil war over ideology. I wish to ask you for a trade agreement between our two nations, to try to help revive any effort for alliance, we still hold. The many wars that have ravaged us in the past, can now go under a blanket as history should. The past should be looked at in awe, but not repeat itself. So what do you say to a trade agreement great Japanese Emperor.

He smiled, as the letter was sealed, and sent to the grand palace of the Japanese empire. He knew the USSR was a weak state, but so was China at this moment, but not as weak as the USSR. He didn't want to pull the line to thin, because the Communist revolution was turning intense, but the ROC will prevail. China will once again be a frightening force!

President Fredrick Claus sat at his desk, earlier that year Nazis's had came to power in Germany. This worried him greatly, Nazi's and Communists were sworn enemies and now he shared a border with Germany. Many people had told him that Germany could not build a large army, air force or navy, but Claus new that Hitler wanted a strong Germany and that meant a strong army, Claus could not let this happen. SFR Scandinavia had a well equipped, well trained army and a very modern navy. However the air force was small but was beginning to expand. If war came with Germany Scandinavia could win but war would cost lives.

Claus decided to take a two pronged approach to dealing with the Nazi's. A: Do not let them build a strong military B: ally with the USSR.

Later that day he made a radio broadcast stating that if Germany dared to rearm Scandinavia would attack and destroy Hitler . he also wrote a letter to Comrade Trotsky.

Leon Trotsky sat at his desk, he felt proud of himself. He had recently defeated Stalin who was now in prison, the USSR had manged to weather the financial crash and his army was growing in strengthen by the day. The USSR had been a weak nation but now it was growing in strength. The army had been reformed and was now well lead, well equipped and well trained and Marshal Tukhachevsky had lead the Soviet army to the for front of tank warfare. What is more a new revolutionary tank design had been approved today, the BT-7 would change the face of armoured warfare, however it would not be ready just yet.

Another thing that made him smile was the Chinese revolution and the alliance with SFR Scandinavia, Trotsky decided to step up aid to the rebels and accept the the alliance, what could go wrong.

Goebbels snapped his fingers, a plan had just formed in his mind. "Why don't we mask our rearmament as our plan to recover from the Great Depression, while simultaneously getting us out of the Depression?" Goebbels said. "See, Von Blomberg? This is the kind of resourcefulness I expect from you!" Hitler said happily. "Mein Fuhrer, it will be done!" Von Blomberg said, standing up and saluting to the Fuhrer. "Very well. Dismissed, the both of you," Adolf Hitler said, waving them away. Joseph Goebbels and Werner von Blomberg walked away, heading their separate ways.

-Restrictions on German land forces will be raised to 1.3 million men in peacetime, with up to 4 million with military service prepared to serve
-Restrictions on the production of an air force will be lifted entirely
-Restrictions on the size of a naval force, enforced by other agreements with the major powers, will remain binding
-France will guarantee your nation against outside aggression
-An international tribunal will be formed to investigate ethnic border discrepancies between Germany and Poland, to determine of Fuhrer Hitler's claims of oppressed Germans are true, and to hold elections in majority German provinces to insure the right of self-determination, should those peoples with to join Germany
-The Left Bank of the Rhine and Saar Valley will remain de-militarized
-The Fuhrer must publicly renounce any German claims to the province of Alsace-Lorraine
-Germany must join into an as-to-be-determined Anti-Comintern Pact, pledging to defend any nation which comes under Communist aggression

President Tomas Navarro looked out from his office window and sighed. He had been thinking deeply about the events in Europe and how the communist were slowly creeping up to the countriesof democracy to try and swallow them in Communist Red. While the battle against communism would be mainly focused in Europe, Asia would also be fighting them. To the south, he had just recently crushed a small communist seperatist uprising. There was also the Japanese, Philippine's rival in the waters of the Pacific. The USA was sitting out of the world stage despite his many attempts at warning them to increase their military readiness in Asia.

Now Tomas hated communists, they had a flawed system and they were oppressive. Now he had to take some actions against it though he may not like it.

There must be many a threat to democracy but the most prevelant in these dangerous times is the Communism. Though they are primarily based in the continent of Europe, i implore for you to remember that Asia is most vulnerable as well. As of now, a vicious civil war between communist rebels and the goverment forces in the Republic Of China are in progress. As no democratic nation in Asia has yet to take the mantle, I ask of you to let the Philippines be invited to this Anti-Comintern Pact and I shall send men immediately to support the Chinese Republic in their fight against communism.

Adolf Hitler stood at the podium to deliver the good news. France had just reduced Germany's punishments! Hitler could not believe it. Hitler blinked , coming back to reality as he stepped up to the podium.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the German Reich, I come with excellent news. The French, despite their key role in the terrible Treaty of Versailles, have decided to grant us leniency on the terms! We can now rearm without fearing the invasion of the Allied Powers! Which is why, Germany, I have decided to Rearm Germany! No longer shall we be the Hündin of other, lesser powers! We now shall stand tall against Communism! The Luftwaffe shall be feared throughout the world! Our enemies shall be crushed under a MILLION MEN! No longer shall we tolerate Communism! For today, Communism is being removed from our streets, our homes, our military, and even our government! SEIG!"
"HEIL!"
With that cry from the crowd, the Fuhrer walked off of the podium, grinning like the madman he was. The French had opened the cage, and the The Reich had taken the opportunity. The German War Machine had been reawakened.

That Night, Berlin, Germany

Marinus van der Lubbe, a prominent German Communist, got out of bed to answer the door, the loud, constant knocking waking him up. He attempted to fix his hair as he headed to the door. He opened the door, still in his pajamas, and said, "Yes?" "Marinus van der Lubbe?" The SA officer outside the door said. "The SA? What are you doing here?" Marinus van der Lubbe asked questionably. "Nothing important, just checking on the populace. Are you Marinus van der Lubbe?" The SA officer asked again. "Yes, that's me!" Marinus van der Lubbe responded. The SA officer, to Marinus van der Lubbe's shock, pulled out a Luger, quickly shooting Marinus van der Lubbe in the chest. He tumbled backwards, collapsing on his carpet. Marinus van der Lubbe, as he died, didn't know it, but he was just one of many Communists to die that night.

King Leopold was at his desk, pondering about the mobilization. He wondered was it a good idea in the first place.
It was too late now. Basic Mobilization was set in place. The Vehicles of war and the rumble of the clouds of bloodshed covered Europe. War would begin soon, and Belgium's colonies in the Congo were protected by a single Milita Division. Her colonies were not well protected, as the German Reich's restrictions were partially lifted and the Communist Nations to the east geared up for war, and as French infantry mobilized on the Belgian border, Belgium erected a defensive line along the Border with France called, the Baudouin Line after Leopold's son, Belgium was prepared for war.

Near the Kiel Canal

Captain Erik grasped his Tommy Gun as he ran towards a German gun emplacement, so far they had met no Resistance put as they neared the canal the came across police check points which had been taken over by the army. Beside Erik his men, armed with Mosin-Nagants and Tommy Guns ready them selves for the assault on the position, next to them a T-26 tank fired on it. When the first shell of the T-26 hit the pillbox Erik and his men charged firing, the machine gunners in the pillbox fired back but not quick enough, Erik through a grenade in and his comrade filled it with bullets. When the men inside where dead, they continued their advance on the canal.

President Mustafa Kemal Atatürk sat in his office reading reports of the sudden invasion of Germany, about time, he thought to himself. In Ankara many people wanted him to give support to Scandinavia which he wanted to do but some warned him that France might attack. The Turkish army was strong but the navy and air force were not that formidable. Atatürk decided that he would give support to Scandinavia.

"Yes, if the Soviets tore threw those two neutral nations like we did to Belgium in The Great War, we have sufficient reason to bring that to the League of Nations!" Hitler agreed, before turning to Goering, "What do you have up your sleeve to get out of this mess, Hermann?" Hermann Goering grinned like a madman, "Thought you'd never ask! May I present two veterans of the Great War that show potential, Erwin Rommel and Heinz Guderian!" Rommel and Guderian walked into room shaking Von Blomberg's hand, and saluting to the Fuhrer. "Yes, yes, stop saluting and get war-winning!" Hitler said, slightly agitated. "We've already developed a strategy: stop them at the Kiel Canal. Hopefully, our 100,000 men can hold them off until reinforcements arrive," Rommel said, straightening his service cap. "Whilst Rommel's half of the plan is going on, we kick the factories into gear, even the factories in the Rhineland, to produce tanks and planes, as well as recruit many thousands of men," Guderian said. "Very well. Execute this plan, now!" Hitler said, waving them off.

The Reichswehr has began mobilization, with the already mobilized forces along the non-occupied bank of the Kiel Canal, with no intent to retreat.

2 weeks after mobilization the Socialist Federal Republic of Scandinavia has officially declared war on Germany. The powerful People's Navy has started to blockade Germany. On the Jutland peninsular 200,000 troops have crossed the border in to Germany. With air and tank superiority the People's Army have almost reached the Kiel Canal. In Sweden as 25,000 strong amphibious landing force has been put together. The PN and PA are experts in amphibious warfare after landing troops in Denmark (1921) and Iceland (1924)

West of Leningrad the Baltic fleet is preparing to assault Germany, on land 25,000 troops are being prepared to land, they will be supported by the new BT-7 tank. On the Eastern Chinese border the garrisons have been reinforced after worries of a ROC attack.

Alexander sat in his office, after hearing the news on the radio about the alliance of Socialists and the new German Fuhrer coming into power he was frightened. He would have to strengthen his military and secure new alliances if he and Yugoslavia were to survive. However, he didn't like the western nations especially the ones who won the great war even though Serbia fought with them as after the war, parts of Yugoslavia that were formerly owned by the Austro-Hungarian were Promised and handed over to Italy rather than being given to the new Yugoslavian State.

Alexander realised that he had to stay neutral and keep Yugoslavia out of a Possible War, he also realised that being neutral has a Bonus as it would also buy him time to upgrade his military.
He has sent a letter to Germany offering a Non-Aggression Pact.

-WIP: For now, the following Naval task force is being deployed to the Baltic Sea to join with the Kreigsmarin, and The Army of the Rhine has been mobilized and supplies are being organized and shipped to prepare for the march north. Troops in Normandy and the surrounding area, including Reservations are being called up to garrison the coasts, the French Air Force is moving to more northerly bases, and the the French Marines and Foreign Legion forces in the Metropolitan are being re-deployed North.

Buenos Aires, La Plata

The city was filled with festivilities as the country celebrated the victory over BraIl and Bolivia in the Geeat South American war. It had lasted 4 years and taken countless lives but Argentina had defeated all foes and had emerged stronger than ever with the newly created Union of La plata which has the capital in Buenos aires.

However The Union needed to rebuild it's territory and strenghten it's veteran army if La plata was to survive against a revanchist Brazil in the future. For while Argentina had emerged largely unscathed Paraguay and Uruguay had not been so lucky and rebuilding the war torn areas would most assuredly gain the support of the people and unite them under La plata's banner. But that was for the future and now was the time of celebration because for now the Union was safe.
