Yeah, it'd probably go along more like that if he were to directly annoy them, although he'd probably make an annoying pun like "Didn't anyone ever tell you smoking's bad for your health?" ontop of that. Also, is it bad that I like it when people OOC reference my character? I feel like that's a sign I'm becoming an egomaniac or something along with my talking about my characters too much. I am become Jackie, annoyer of worlds. The Floating Island of the Sleeping God wrote:I pictured something like this: "hey. You sniping? That's partly the reason I had Jackie not say the "OP plis nerf" tactic that no one's remembered so far, because I get the feeling that everyone OOC forgot about important Lith-given information from way earlier that would make this a much easier exercise due to the groups' different advantages. The main reason, though, is because he's a self-centered JackieassThe Floating Island of the Sleeping God wrote:I hate discussing my plans between characters because I'm paranoid that Lith will use that knowledge against me. Why would he show his hand when you're one of the ones he's playing against? Also, probably best to assume that in this card metaphor Nek's holding five jokers and a Chance card from Monopoly.

I swear, I will incendiary the hell out of all of you unless I get an answer. Some magic fire canister will appear above you, and just fell of the edge thanks to raven punching the rafters.
And I'm gonna have Anthony relocate next post. That's the 2nd rule of sniping, after "One Shot, One Kill." Snipers try not to remain stationary. Makes them easier targets.

Fine, be a poopyhead. I'll give you a humongous hint: Jackie annoys the crap out of all the bigger fish until everyone stops teleporting and using advantages of extremely superior magic. I'm just lazy. I'll do it later tonight or tomorrow.
And Maiso's not gonna see a sniper 170m away with the iron sights on an M5K. No scope glint either, since there's such little light and Anthony wouldn't forget such an obvious thing. I might be able to see Conrad, but he's still ~90m away and Maiso has an SMG.

Well, thanks for letting me know that Anthony was originally at the extreme far end of the complex (I say was because he's moving next turn) and Conrad's about 130 yards away from the entrance.

Yeah, not against the snipers' anti-material rifles, obviously, but it might protect us against those small arms Karlson and Selena are using. And maybe against whatever it is that Memoir has (a sawed-off shotgun?). Also, it would help in a hypothetical knife fight, though not against blunt weapons with a blue demon's strength behind it.
Ah, and while we're at it, what about helmets?

Not that this in any way addresses your point, but I thought Kevlar wasn't useful against knives. As I understand it, Kevlar forces the bullet to distribute its force across a large area and deform, rather than being hard enough to just block the bullet. A knife can just cut right through.

If they could, Miranda's powers would be rendered obsolete. So, no.
In order to move things along, if someone stays stationary in their post, they will be instakilled by the snipers. Also, if someone doesn't post for a significant amount of time (which is up to me to decide what that means), their character will die. I think we've seen the character's abilities as black demon hosts, so unless you really impress me, you'll probably die so we can move to the next chapter.
