I never said how many shiny painful items I had with me. And I'll probably make up stuff as I need it. There's no way I'd enter a combat scenario without some contingency plans (emphasis on the plural), and Anthony's already been briefed on y'all's abilities.

I hate discussing my plans between characters because I'm paranoid that Lith will use that knowledge against me. For instance, by stating my intention to fire West I'm pretty sure Karlson's either going to move or force me to move.

Yeah, it'd probably go along more like that if he were to directly annoy them, although he'd probably make an annoying pun like "Didn't anyone ever tell you smoking's bad for your health?" ontop of that. Also, is it bad that I like it when people OOC reference my character? I feel like that's a sign I'm becoming an egomaniac or something along with my talking about my characters too much. I am become Jackie, annoyer of worlds.

Don't worry, I'll call it out if I use it in case no one remembers, but I'll give you a hint: The information was stated by Lith himself, and it does not necessarily have to do with our location.

I already said that. And Conrad is in the building in the middle of the complex. Which is 200yd long. So he's about 100yd from the door. And we moved up an indeterminate amount (to me, since I'm tired), so I said ~90m, which is close to saying ~90yd.

Not that this in any way addresses your point, but I thought Kevlar wasn't useful against knives. As I understand it, Kevlar forces the bullet to distribute its force across a large area and deform, rather than being hard enough to just block the bullet. A knife can just cut right through.
EDIT: oh, and Karlson's got magic bullets. Some of them exploded earlier. I doubt armor-piercing would be much of a stretch for him.

To the best of my knowledge, Kevlar is proof against both shots and cuts. Its main weakness is that its deformation properties mean that blunt trauma still goes through, which is why you can't simply shrug off a .45 caliber bullet even if you have the best Kevlar vest in the world. Well, I'm not an expert by any standards, but that's what I think.
