The EAU would not support Spanish irredentism. Remember, Vasconia and Portugal are also EAU members. Catalonia would be safer from Spain as an EAU member than as an unaligned nation or an AU member, and the EAU is pretty focused on reconciliation and international brotherhood, since its foundation came following Russian reconciliation with the rest of the Slavic world.

Besides, "international outreach"? That's a pretty thin veil for fucking with the EAU. And if the AU is to be rivals with the EAU and OAS(which increasingly seems the case), then they would be less protected and more thrust into the fight.

Depends on what the terms are for having to join the Eurasian Union and what you have to contribute. Also depends on Britain and Russia's possible membership as well.
