Goodbye World
In the year 2014, the world's technology and infrastructure came crashing down. After a massive text was received by almost everyone in the world, a vicious cyber attack took place against the United States. The cyber attack destroyed every single network, grid, connection in the United States of America. Total anarchy ensued in the U.S, riots broke out and martial law was instated. The end of society was realized when it seemed as the local communities of America became war zones, ripe for the picking by anyone who was willing to do battle for the chance to be the authority of the town. Nothing was left of the old world, we have had to adapt, make our lives out of scratch and build ourselves into what we are now. It was hard to do so, but it was easier after we kissed the world goodbye.
Okay, so welcome to my experiment called Goodbye World. Somewhat based, okay really based on the film of the same name. This RP will be split up into a few different chapters, the beginning where we will come together and learn of the global collapse and try to adapt to a new lifestyle. Then, the next will be our home will be taken over, sabotaged, something by a fiercer entity that would control the town and we would have to migrate to a new area, where that may be, I have no idea. Finally, the end. This is where the RP comes to an end, and either we leave our characters together living happily and with a bright future or we leave them split up, dead, or something else with no hope. If you have better ideas for chapters, then by all means suggest them to me, I don't mind it at all.
More into the story, we will begin in the American city of Seattle, except for one member who will be the one who lives in a cabin that is off the grid and is located in a rural area not far from Seattle. The rest of you guys, being the unprepared techies of the world will be caught in the chaos of the collapse while on your way to the cabin as the collapse happens. Depending where you are, you may have no idea of the collapse and wait on the arrival of the rest of the group for the knowledge of it. That means if you get to the cabin before collapse then you have no clue what's going on. The group will comprise of 6-8 characters, if your character has side characters such as a girlfriend, family, whatever, you'll be responsible for RPing them along with your character.
After the collapse, Seattle is overrun by gangs and bands of anarchic groups. I'll make a map later of the territories and basic info will be given about the gangs. When travelling into town for whatever reason, we will have to abide by the ruling gang's directives and stay out of trouble while we stay there. As we progress, the groups will begin to have "wars" if you may, and travel into town will be strictly forbidden. We will have to work as a unit, befriend one another, socialize and fight, but most of all, we have to survive. Surviving may not be easy, and some of us will die. Whether it be a natural cause or from a bullet raid by aggressive gang members who need our supplies. You may even die from starvation, point is, you can die. That's pretty much it, if you have any questions, just ask. I'll be more than happy to answer it for you!
As with any RP, there is a need for rules to establish a basic agreement among RPers so that you can partake in the RP without any problems. This is no exception people. The rules are simple. 1. All NS rules apply. 2. I won't allow for an overly unequal amount of a males : females ratio. If we need more of a gender, I'll let you guys know. 3. Don't start riots in the OOC, keep it all civilized and we won't have a problem. 4. Mine and any Co-OP's statements are law. If you don't follow, we'll kick you and have your character die. Period. 5. Have fun, Pwease? There is also a guideline, refrain from one liners. I know it can be difficult sometimes but do your best to post detailed and lengthy posts.
As for an application, it isn't too lengthy. We're all suppose to be the best of friends. That means we must know a lot about each other, so provide as much detail as you can. Without further delay, here it is.
