Sài Gòn, Republic of Vietnam, 1 January, 1951
In the city of Sài Gòn, Vietnamese cheered on the streets. Fireworks were launched into the air and the Republic of Vietnam flag was everywhere.Today is the first day of a new year and is also the first day of the Republic of Vietnam. Today the Republic of Vietnam is officially a country. The people had elected a president, President Ngô Đình Diệm.

Independence Palace, Saigon
President Ngô Đình Diệm was sitting in his office. He had just become the president a few hour ago. He looked at the map of the world. To defend the Republic of Vietnam, they needed a large defense force. He called his secretary, "Get up all of my generals. I want them in my conference room ASAP." He looked at the country of North Vietnam on the map and thought, "I must reunite Vietnam. I must defend South Vietnam from all threats. We will need a lot of support from foreign countries, but he knew, to survive new threats, Vietnam must be united. I will and shall be the one uniting it."

Rome, Kingdom of Italy, January 1st, 1951

The King, grumbling about the Colonial losses in Africa, decided to declare war on Ethiopia, Eritrea, and forced Somaliland to be an Italian colony again in order to reclaim their lost colonies in Africa. A force of 150,000 Royal Italian Army troops would first attack Eritrea, then move on to Ethiopia. The campaign would be hard, but it would be worthwhile, as the Italian Empire had to reclaim its glory from the colonial disaster a few years ago, in the 1940s.

To the Republic of Vietnam
From the Kingdom of Italy

Greetings. We send this message to you because we would like an alliance between our two great nations. An alliance would make a lot of sense, as we are both militarily powerful in our own ways.

Signed, King Umberto II

Belgrade, Yugoslavia

January 1st, 1951

Marshal Tito was thinking over his possible actions he could take. He knew relations with the USSR was worsening and he knew that he had to prove to the communist nations as well as the west that Yugoslavia could stand on its own without being turned into a USSR satellite state. He decided that he needed western help more to stop the USSR from conquering Yugoslavia. Therefore, he sent a letter to the US President, to ask for some US weapons while strengthening their economic ties and relations to help the prosperity of the Yugoslavs grow.

To the President of the United States of America

The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia would like to strengthen our strong economic ties and relations. We would like to buy some US arms and munitions to help repel any possible invasions of the USSR and its puppets. The SFRY would be grateful if the US decided to accept the Yugoslavian request.

Imperial Canada

January 1st, 1951
It was a cold day as the canadian parliament met up mostly about Italy's pointless war on small innocent nations of Africa which many in canada believed they had to go and stop after World War Two canada had a large military boost which has been left in little use as of now which is probably why so many wanted to fight Italy but canada was looking at something else as well something america has been doing recruiting nazi scientists to canada to develop technology for them but this was something for later on.

Meanwhile the canadian government has been discussing plans to boost the country's population which has been a matter of discussion for years but have never really done anything about it as of yet till now with a new advertisement cantered around mining and scientific operations up north which also included land and a starting fund for equipment and supply's sure it was desperate but was the best they could do for now.

President Rajendra Prasad announced a wide series of domestic programs that would focus on education, poverty, infrastructure, job creation and healthcare. President Prasad is working with the Indian National Congress to push comprehensive legislation through so the nation could have a new beginning in the 50s and beyond. A massive workforce has been recruited to begin creating new farms, paving roads and building railways. A minimum wage has been established and taxes have been lowered for all but the rich.

President Prasad also announced legislation that will deal with the cases of rapist assaulting women, raising the punishment. He has also announced the creation of new military factories to strengthen India's manufacturing capacity and military industry. The President has also raised the wages of active soldiers in hopes that new recruits will join and numbers will rise.

In regards to national security , President Prasad has ordered troops to be ready for anything and troops are always at an elevated level of readiness. Troops along the Chinese border have been ordered to be at the highest level of readiness.

What President Prasad has not announced is that his Government has began secretly funding to the South Korean military in hopes that the war there will end with a SK victory. No troops will be involved there, but arms and money is beginning to flow to South Korea.

January 1st, 1951.

At the dawn of the new year, Anno Domini 1951, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics stood as the largest Communist country in the world. The history of the Great Red Nation had been a turbulent one for the past 30 years. The Union of Socialist Soviet Republics emerged out of the depths of the 1917 Russian Revolution. In the aforementioned year, a coup was organised by the Council of Soviets and other off shoot groups of communist political organisation. On October 1st, 1917 Vladimir Lenin, Chairman of the Council of Soviets, led the revolution in Moscow, and it spread like wildfire among many of Russia's workers and unhappy citizens. However, the Provisional Republican Government of Russia discovered the plot months before it was set in motion and even though Lenin secured many early successes, after the founding of the formal Red Army, the rebels faced a series of setbacks time and time again.

By January 1918 they had lost control of most of Russia's major cities including St. Petersburg and Moscow, where Lenin was also assassinated. The Grand Marshal of the Red Army Dmitriy Pavlov, then devised an elaborate defensive line 30 miles west of the Volga River. Nevertheless, over the course of three more months, the Soviets were pushed across the Volga River. These defeats culminated with the disastrous siege of Samara, when the entire 3rd Red Army surrendered to the Whites.

Peace talks ensued and by the end of 1918 a consensus had finally been reached. The present situation was to remain so; The Republican forces would annex all that had been captured, and the Reds took everything east of the Volga River. Thus the USSR was born.

By 1951, Joseph Stalin, who had assumed power in 1935, as the General Secretary, and the Premier in 1941, stood as the undisputed leader of the USSR. His policies were often called totalitarian, and inhumane by some. But, Stalin did get the job done. After the defeat in the Revolution, the USSR was devastated and had a numerous array of issues, and its leaders did nothing to solve the problem.

When Stalin had become General Secretary in 1935, the office consisted of little more than secretarial work in offices and such. However, Stalin reserved the power to determine party composition, and in fact was the leader of the Politburo. Though others before him did not take advantage of the position, Stalin did quite the opposite.

His first rule of business from 1936 to 1938 consisted of virtually handpicking members to hold seats in the Politburo. These members formed his growing bloc of personal allies. During this period he also pushed through a series of reforms that would limit who could hold membership in the organistation. He instituted tests, age/sex/race requirements, and even flat out barred certain peoples from ever participating in any type of government within the Communist Party.

From 1938 to 1940, the next period of his rise to power began. Since he was the undisputed leader of the Communist Party, but not the USSR itself, and he packed the Politburo with many of his allies, Stalin had the possibility to accomplish whatever he wanted within his and/or the party's scope. So, with this seemingly unlimited power, he began a period of his rule that many called tyrannical, even still to this day; the Red Purges.

Stalin first began a committee to further review all Communist Party applications, literacy tests, and other examinations on March 26th, 1938. Next, after he had his information, which of course was done in secret, he and his allies subsequently shunned those he deemed undesirable in many sessions of the Politburo. In the 17th Politburo, during the 2nd Plenary Session, Stalin and his sect publicly called out these men and ordered them removed from their posts. The Soviet Politburo cheered his name in thunderous applause; they had agreed. Over the next two weeks, all 160 men that Stalin mentioned in his First Purge were removed from their posts and thrown in jail or murdered. Over the course of the next year and a half, the purges would continue in earnest, a total of 10 taking place during this time.

By 1941, Stalin ultimately was the undisputed leader of all of the Soviet Union. He passed numerous reforms that gave him more and more power. By the end of that year He was elected Premier by many of his allies in the Council of Ministers and he had many approvals in the Politburo/

January 1st, 1951

So, Stalin had led the country since 1941, and August 4th would be the 10th anniversary of him coming to power as Premier. He intended to accomplish much in this tenth, 'glory year' as he called it. Since 1942, Stalin had instituted a series of reforms aimed at improving the industries of the USSR. The previous world war had done little to damage the Soviets, and they only had a few border skirmishes with the UFCR. So, Stalin was able to focus most of his attention to the industrialisation process.

These reforms were instituted in five year increments. The first had finished in 1947 and was mainly centered on modernising the vast agricultural potential of the Soviet Union. New advancements had left the USSR relatively in the dark. Stalin sponsored diplomatic missions to Germany, Britain, America, Italy, France, and Mexico. His diplomats preached Soviet neutrality and merely sought to advance Russia's technological prowess. The Axis powers were at first reluctant, but after numerous concessions and a non-agression pact, Germany began to share their knowledge.

Farm equipment was mechanized and Russia procured over a billion seeds of different crops. The already state-run farms were transformed into an efficiently organised system of neo-plantations, where as many as 5,000 workers lived and farmed on one institution. The plan was quite ambitious and was rumuored to fail by many. But it was an organised structure and with Stalin's Iron Hand, succeeded. After three years, the agricultural output rose 18.9% to 29.1%.

In 1948, the next phase was ready instituted. Stalin's idea behind these five year plans was that as new ones were implemented, old plans also stayed in effect, but the emphasis would switch from plan to plan. The 1948-1952 emphasis was obviously centered on industry. Agricultural output and potential was steadily rising, and Russia had the opportunity to integrate this field as well as others into the realm of Industry. The Soviets followed the assembly line model, but the efficiency of its factories was vastly inefficient. Stalin sponsored a national recruitment campaign that aimed to put more men, women, and even children over 12 into the factories. The numbers rose from 12,000,000 workers in 1948 to 19,000,000 by 1951. Each factory was headed by was oversaw by a regional secretariat. They each had quotas to fill and each factory produced products and materials in one type of industry. By 1951, Arms Industry led as the highest produced of all the industries.

On the first of the year, the administration consulted the budget and determined the Second Plan to be progressing nicely. The military, which had always been the focus of the Soviet Union, stood close to 915,000 men and growing. Even though Russia was maintaining its long period of neutrality since the Revolution, it was needed. Stalin was a militarist and it was futile to suggest that he would stand idly by while the nations of the world grew.

There was also some talk about restarting the diplomatic missions to other countries, of previous years. This time though, Russia had many countries that perceived them as evil, so the list would not be so varying. Canada, a socialist nation, was among the options.

The glorious Cuba and her glrorious navy were in an age of prosperity. Only recently was the Cayman Islands accepted into the confederation. The increased manoower and increased natural supplies gave the Cuban government funding for better navy ships. The United States of Cuba even was building its first aircraft carrier (the first of two planned) in an effort to protect the country from invasion.

People's Republic of Amastia, 1945-1950

Amastia, a small European country located in between the Soviet Union and Romania, lay in a state of destruction. All of her cities reduced to rubble by bombing of both sides during the war. Her infrastructure and industry, destroyed. Her people frightened, scared, and tired. Her military, lay in ruin as both German and Soviet armies decimated the Amastian Royal armed forces during the disastrous defense campaigns. There was no hope.

In 1946 however, a young partisan named Malek Burov became a prominent figure in the eyes of the Amastian peoples. He had fought against the Germans and the Royal armies during WW2 with his partisan group, Freedom Amastia. He was absolutely loved by his countrymen for his great public speaking and heroic actions against the Axis powers. Immediately after the liberation of his country by both the Soviets and his partisans, he began to ask the soviets for communist power in post war Amastia. They knew him as a fierce military commander, and saw great potential in his politics. They appointed him as the new commissar of Amastia.

From 1946-1950, was known as the great period of rebuilding. Immediately after becoming commissar, he issued a 4-year rebuilding plan, that would revive Amastia's production, economy, and morale. He also built up the military and re-established governmental control to Amastia, declaring a People's Republic in 1949. By 1950, Amastia was new, fresh, and rebuilt. The country looked untouched by war. In April of 1950, Amastia was offered to join the Eastern Bloc, but refused. Burov's defense was to distance Amastia from strong communist beliefs as he wanted to pursue a more Burov styled agenda than a Marxist/Leninist agenda.

January 1st 1951: Aklatgrad, Amastia.

Its late afternoon in the Prince's Palace. In a large Green room, stood a man named Commissar Malek Ichero Burov. He was average height, dirty blonde (almost brunette) hair, slim man, wearing an olive colored military uniform. On his uniform, he wore his three highest medals, his shoulder boards, and a holstered pistol on his belt. Inside, a Luger pistol he captured from a dead German officer in 1944, bore kill marks of all the men he had killed. He sat down behind a 100 year old desk, once used by the now imprisoned, Prince Henry I. His hat sat next to a half-used cigar and a fresh bottle of ice cold sweet tea, his favorite drink. He started to write in his journal about his thoughts, when the silence was interrupted by his personal aid, named Yuri.

Now Yuri was not really normal. He was very short for his age, only being about 5/2 at 20. In 1942, both of Yuri's parents were killed in a bombing raid. He was living on the streets until he was caught stealing from an older women and was ordered to be deported to a labor camp in Romania. On route to Romania, his train was derailed by Burov's partisans. He was found unconscious among the rubble and was rescued. After recovering, he became a close friend of Burov, thinking of Burov as a father figure, and joined the partisans. He fought in a couple of battles, and helped liberate his country. He is a blonde, short, but tough kid. He is a young officer in the army and was appointed as Burov's aid in 1950.

"Good afternoon sir! How are you?"

"I'm fine Yuri, im just tired. What do you have for me?"

"Well sir, I got this report from you. Stasi agents in Cuba have identified a new ship keel being laid down. It is quite large. They suspect an aircraft carrier or a battleship of some type."

"Interesting. Seems like their nation is preparing for something. Probably nothing, but I will share this little tidbit of info with other communist leaders. Anything else?"

"Yes sir, Lempor ship yards reports that we have finished a 10th midget sub and have completed another 4 torpedo boats. The have also completed a new destroyer and a new minesweeper. The Air Force has started to replace the Mig-3 and Yak-9 fighters with the new jet age Mig-15 fighter. Also the Il-2 and the Tu-4 are being phased out for the new jet age Il-28 bomber. However, the Tu-4 remains as the sole strategic bomber."

"Good. Anything else?"

"No sir. Would you like anything?"

"No thank you, you can leave."

"Okay, just let me know if you need anything!"

*He leaves the room*

The commissar then stood up and looked out the window. Outside, the sky was growing dark, the late afternoon traffic was heavy. Many people walked on the streets. He was greatly worried. He felt a large scale war on the horizon. He felt that same feeling he felt, as he was about to attack a German supply convoy on the countryside. He worried for the citizens and his country, for the world was in a nuclear threat between communists and capitalists all over the world. After a long stare, he walked back to his desk. He then took out a glass and poured his tea into it. He took a large gulp, and preceded to bed.

The United Socialist Parliaments Of Great Britain And Northern Ireland Commonly Known As The U.S.P

1st January 1951: Cheers and rounds of applause burst out as Clement Attlee, the PM, takes his place on the labor new-years party podium to make his speech. The hall is filled with labor party members, military officers, Journalists as well as foreign dignitary's and countless more. The vast room is dotted with labor party banners and U.S.P posters as well the occasional balloon. Clement raises his hand and grins as he asks for silence.

"Hello ladys, and Gentlemen, dear freinds and colleague's, comrades in arms. I would like to say what a wonderful new-years party this has been, and I ask you to please join me in thanking those who made this possible, our fellow Brits and Socialists: the party staff." -Applause- "Now I will get to the point seeing as I have always been a practical man. 5 Years ago this day in 1946 we began the first 5 Year plan. This focused on the Heavy industry's such as Ore mining, ship building, Oil drilling and of electrical production. It also focused on Agricultural reform.

The targets for Agriculture were to double our production in 1945 which we did in-all areas by 1950 and to utterly rid ourselves of a reliance on foreign powers for our foodstuffs. This we have also done and are now selling a surplus of agricultural production in foreign markets. Industrially we set various targets, all have been met before today. Increasing British competitiveness and I can now announce that the U.S.P is completely independent from foreign exports to our lifeblood. Those being food, energy and Industrial materials!

As I previously promised rationing will be eliminated now the five year plan is complete but there is a base level of food every family shall receive regardless of weather they can pay. In the U.S.P there will never be hunger again! Each family will also receive a free base level of fuel to heat their homes. Fuel Poverty is a thing of the past.

I would like to stress that although the five year plan has finished targets for Heavy Industry and Agriculture will still be set but the push will no longer be so hard. However two new five year plans are ready to be put in place. The first focuses on military production including aims to triple tank and plane production as well as increasing almost all other military goods. Army, Navy and Airforce. Now we have secured our bloodline we must have the power to defend it. The Second of the 5 Year plans is to consumer goods production. This means textiles, auto-mobiles, medicines and many more. Britain will build a huge export base of these materials place ourselves dominantly on the world market.

Finally I have some sad news. I Clement Attlee will be 68 in two days time. On this date I will also be resigning as PM. I have loved every minute of serving my county and people and I hope I will be remembered well. But I am far to old for this Job. Almost 70 years of age. Till the next general election Gerald Hall the young man in charge of the 5 year plans will take over. Good night

Washington D.C.
Blair House
Truman Bed room
7:00 Am EST
January 1st, 1951

President Harry S. Truman had finished getting ready for another day as President of the United States. He hated getting up earlier because of the White House being gutted to reenforce the structurally unstable building. The West Wing was still fine so it meant he had to walk across the Street. It was especially annoying after the great new years party he had gone too. After 4 hours of sleep he was not looking forward to another day of work. It was a a chilly 26 degrees with a 6 mph wind. As he approached the door four members of his security team where waiting.

"Are you ready to leave Mr. President?"

"Yes I am lets go."

They opened the door and began their walk routine walk across the street to the oval office. The President was wearing his heavy jacket and pulled the collar up on as a gust off wind sent a chill down his skin. The group had made it to the other side of the street when a man approached them. He was walking slowly and stumbling around. He must have been drinking all night and only had a blazer jacket. The President looked at he man and stopped. He looked at the man and began to walk towards him. He took off his own heavy coat.

"You look cold please take this jacket before you catch a your death." Said the President

"How kind of you mir president...excuse my appearance but my I shake your hand?" Asked the man as he took the jacket and put it on.

"Yes you may." replied Truman has he reached his hand out to the man.

However instead of an open hand the man had a small snub nose revolver in his hand. The secret service agents acted quickly as they tried to grapple the man to the ground. The man fired a shot that imp aced the President in the upper left chest near the shoulder. As the secret service men tackled him he continued to fire the double action pistol sending bullets into the air. As the man hit he ground the pistol fell from his hand. One agent looked at the President bleeding on the ground and immediately ran to the President's side. Just then Mrs. Truman came out of the front door of the Blair house.

"Call an ambulance Mrs. Truman." He yelled as she looked at her husband on the ground.

A hell of a way to start the New Year he said as he continued to apply pressure to the wound.

Langley Virginia
CIA Headquaters
Directors Office
9:00 Am EST

"What a hell of a way to start the New Year" said Walter Bedell Smith, Director of the CIA after hearing 2 reports from his deputy director and one from his chief of staff. The shooting of the President was a shock to many and had caused the entire building to become logged in a frenzy of typewriters, and phone calls.

"So do we know who did it?" He finally asked after a long silence.

His Deputy Director look dat him and gave his reply.

"We are not 100% sure. It could be a crazed drunk or a communist collaborator. After Britain fell to communism there has been a surge in communist meetings in the United States."

"Where was he from?"

"He had no ID on him but he could be from Britain or the Soviet Union or anywhere in between."

The Director looked at the men in front of him and gave an annoyed look.

"Well then find out who he is and where he is from or don't come back in here!"

Kingdom of Egypt
المملكة المصرية

Cairo, Egypt
The monarchy of Egypt was a weak one. Established when the Monarchical government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland changed Egypt's legal status from colonial province to protectorate, yet the Egyptian Kingdom remains a British puppet. British weaponry is used, British diplomats dominate politics, and the Kingdom kisses the British's asses.

The people of Egypt are tired of this. They want no more inequality, no more stupidity. King Farouk is not enlightened in any way, and is in no condition to run a country if he can't stand up to the British monarch. Nationalistic fervor rises all along the countryside and even in the military. It won't be long until a Republican government is established, and the country returned to its former glorious destiny.

January 4th, 1951

The news had just come in; President Harry Truman of the United States had been shot. Stalin's council were in a meeting as they heard of the incident. As much as the US would want to blame Communism, the USSR had absolutely nothing to do with it. Nevertheless, Stalin was a cautious man and would take any necessary action to defend Russia from anyone and anything, including a US attack.

After the meeting was over, the newly formed Committee for State Security (Komitet gosudarstvennoy bezopasnosti) or KGB, was also brought together in an emergency session. Vladimir Volkov, the Chairman of the KGB had special orders from the Politburo to establish an Intelligence Directive with the necessary amount of operatives that would infiltrate the United States, for the very first time in Soviet history. The only real objective was intelligence. At this first meeting, the orders were outlined and a quota had to be reached by the 20th of that month. This plan was called Operation Pozhar or Fire.

The Soviet Union had maintained neutrality in the last world war, and heavy isolationism. Stalin and the Politburo made up their minds that it was time to change these policies and finally make a name for themselves upon the world stage. However, they shared a very close and tense border with the Union of Federated Capitalist Republics (UFCR), their sister country. After the Revolution, a ceasefire was put into place and the Republicans took everything West of the Volga River, and the Reds took everything East. Since the Republicans took most of the major cities in Russia, Yegor Ivanov, the Premier after Lenin's death, was immediately tasked with finding a city large enough to support a heavy industrial base, the administration of a country as big as the Soviet Union, and a city that had enough manpower reserves to defend it and the surrounding region. The city of Sverdlovsk was chosen; It had over 600,000 citizens in 1920. It was renamed from Sverdlovsk to Ivanograd in honor of Premier Ivanov.

By 1951, Ivanograd numbered over 4,000,000 people and the administration was as large and controlled as ever. The Politburo knew that if any advances were to be made in Europe, their border with the UFCR had to be secured, as well as their relations. Later in the day of January 4th, it was also decided that a telegraph would be sent to the Republicans.

It said:
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
We desire a meeting between the leaders of our two countries, to discuss matters of importance. It would do you well to attend.

The words were short and concise. Stalin knew what he wanted and what had to be done.
"Et tu, Brutus?"

Beware the Ides of March.

"Kill one man, and you are a murderer. Kill millions of men, and you are a conqueror. Kill them all, and you are a god."

"Pechkov, I need more ammunition! These damn Red's, their like meatshields! Their eating through my lead like locust!"
shouted Cheynivo Peteroskiv, maching gunners mate and Sergeat of the 133th Machinegun Company.

Aleksandr Pechkov rushed himself, and a few more ammunition boxes, as fast as his scrawny, 10 year old legs could carry them. Hurring over to the side of the gunner, where the red-faced Sergeant urgently grapped the boxs out of the boys hand.

"Peteroskiv, maybe if you actually took the time to hit what you were aiming, we wouldn't have to waste so much ammunition on your gun eh?"
shouted a voice from a rifel pit directly behind theirs.

"I still have killed more Red's than the years you've been alive Loyev! Now why don't you shut up, and pay attention to our flanks like you've been ordered to do eh?"

"God damn, good for nothing riflemen!" cursed Cheynivo under his breath.

Seeing that dark scowl on the Sergeants face proved more frightening to little Aleksandr, than any thoughts of Red Army men could conjure. At least it was in the mind of such children.

Seeing the apprehensive look on the childs face, the Sergeant managed to crack a smile as his loader did a final check on fitting the ammunition.

"Себе расслабиться маленький солдат, relax little soldier, we've held off the bastards." said the Sergeant, trying to reassure the small boy.

Hearing, through the sporadic gunfire in the distance, the tell-tale battle cry of the Red traitors, a solid and bold "URAH!" he quickly grabbed the young boy, placing him inside the machinguns foxhole.

"Well," he said to himself as he manned the old peice of war equipment once again, " we have so far."

"I just don't know Riga...it would be unprecidented." mumbled Makar Evinosky, the Imperial Court Offical turned Republican Parlimentarian as his political ally and friend by neccesity, stomped his boot heel, privatly damning the whisy washy resistance he was encountering to his proposal.

"Chush' sobach'ya! Evinosky, you are by far the worse of them all!" shouted Aleski Riga, now in full revolutionary mode.

"We don't what the Red's ruling us, they'll string us by our toes!" "We don't want the Czarists back, they'll take our heads!" "We can't have a decided a course of action ourselves, it defys propriety!" he said in a mocking sing-song of the argument they, and the rest of the cabinet had been having for the past six hours.

"Well gentlemen, and I use that term loosely, just what the hell do you want!"

Silence. The most signifacent sign of human stupidity when it comes to trying to creating the inner workings of a new nation.

"Brilliant! When you all are in chamber, nothing can get you to stop talking. But should the ability to birth a new, stronger Russian nation come about, oh please sir, the buck won't stop here!" Riga bellowed in absolute fury, made all the more furious by the shocked and dumbfound experssions on every face in the gathered Parliment. Well, almost every face.

Standing at the end of the long confrence table, rising from his chair, stood a man well known and spoken for by the politicans present. And speak, Mikhail Mevedev did.

"The solutions obvious Riga, not that your tantrums and bull-snorting routine make it any clearer. We are in need of a Republic."

To say that the gathering, a room filled to the brim with monoarchists, nobility, and nationalists, erupted in argument would not do the situation justice.

March 12th, 1918; Kalingrad, Russia; White Russian Forward Operating Base

White Russian Armed Forces Standard

Glancing down upon the pocket-marked hillside, Captain Peteroskiv raised his field glasses to his eyes, in order to view the tide of the battle more closely. While the promotion was still a surprise to him, it was pretty hard for a good soldier not to rise in the ranks of either Russian Army. With so many officers dead, missing, captured, or wounded, a constant flow of experianced soldiers were needed.

I wouldn't be surprised if half the Officer Corp are dirt-pounding noncoms like me. More comfortable in foxholes and rifle pits, than in cushy desks or warm tents.

Continuing to view the battle from what amounted to a birds eye view, Peteroskiv looked on. Of course, there was no doubt of the outcome. Thanks to the Americans, the British and the French, the White Army was better manned, better equppied and better modernized than their Red Russian counterparts. Nothing ideologic about it. Just hard, military facts.

Placing the glasses down on a nearby makeshift-table, the Capitain ordered for his adjuant get him something to celebrate with. Upon the adjuants return, and this time with a friendly bottle of American whiskey, the Captain uncorked the newly shipped bottle and drank a good half in one mouthful. Feeling the welcoming burn sensation, he glanced at the bottle approvingly.

Well, being an officer does have its perks

January 4th, 1951; St. Petersburg(formerly Petrograd) UFCR; The Winter Palace, Conference Room NO.34

Image
The Banner of The Union of Federated Capitalist Republics

There was a coarse piece of paper, more brownish than white, in the center of a beautiful mahogeny table. A gift from the American's, who go to great expense to shower their friends with gifts and presents. At the moment however, the message written on the piece of paper, was of the greatest importance compared to that of a simple wooden room piece. This would show itself true, as in unfortunate circumstance, when the President of the UFCR banged his ceremonial sword repeatedly and with greater furiocity as the free-for-all debate continued in earnest among his advisors in the room.

Eventually, having tortured the wooden peice long enough, the President of one of the largest, most sophisticated and civilized nations in the world decided to end the tulmult in same way his backwoods Georgian predessecors had stopped many a brawl.

Jumping upon the table in full, ceremonial regalia, he bellowed in his best parade officers voice,

"Hey, shut the hell up a minute!"

The scene that followed would have been a political cartoonists dream. The whole of the Russian Presidential Cabinent, and the General Staff, balking wide-eyed under the ferocious gaze of their political leader, who was perched upon a conference table, looking like the sterotypical Russian bear, viewing the gaggle of politicans like so many salmon in a stream.

Finally seeing that order had been restored, the President and his still stuned advisors retained their seats, as the discussion about the subject at hand began in more proper settings.

"There is just no way we can aquiesce this Mr. President. Absolutely no possiblity!" stated Sky Marshal of the Airforce Zevhanpesk in a tone that was polite, but firm.

"And I'm telling You! That this is a diplomats dream come true! A real audience, with our Russian brethern. Who we havn't had regular contact since the end of the Nazi Reigme." rebuttled Nikolia Bravich, Secretary of Foreign Relations

"Not with the Soviet Stalin in charge. Why him and his gain of liars and cutthroats want nothing more to bring war to our homes, our families and our nation." snubbed Secretary of Defense Alan Churnov.

Taking a deep breath, President Dimitry Medvedev answered, in his best diplomatic tone.

"While I fully expect these Red's to be up to no good, we might as well accept their invitation, if for no other reason than to see whose left in their ranks from whatever purges that Stalin has been up to. And this, settles the matter, gentlemen."

We will attend. We will meet in the Diplomacy Center in Kalingrad. If your discovered armed, we will have an aggresive response.

The United Socialist Parliaments Of Great Britain And Northern Ireland Commonly Known As The U.S.P

The New British PM- Gerald Hall

9th January 1951: The introduction of Gerald Hall as PM after Attlee was unsurprising. Only 38 the man was Labors rising star, made hugely popular by the great success of the 5 year plans. Hall was a man of almost unsurpassable energy, it was often boasted that he could run a double-marathon sleep just two hours in a night and then do it all again the next day. It was true that he rarely slept more than a few hours a night claiming it was a waste of time.

The new 5 year plans were beginning smoothly and Mr.Hall, a veteran of WW2, was eager to implement his other policy's. Hall is much more interventionism than Attlee and more Pro-Military. One of his first policy's was to re-implement the HomeGuard as essentially local milita forces. They would be volunteer built and those in the Country would be trained in Gorilla warfare while those in Urban areas Street fighting followed by resistance tactics. They would be used as units able to quickly mobilize and defend their villages or towns from foreign forces.

Image
USP HomeGuard during training

The Second Policy was the build "Fortress Britannia" as Hall called it. A huge line of coastal and Arial defenses round the British isles. This policy would take years to implement properly but the Idea was for it to be manned by a cycle of local volunteer HomeGuard as well as British Royal Red Army regiments every 50 miles or in areas thought to be susceptible to attack.

Thirdly to Implement a Realpolitik foreign policy and to support Socialism across the world. This however could not breach the neutrality of the USP and therefore no allegiance with the USSR was expected. Ties would be strengthened with both the US and USSR to ensure USP sovereignty.

Hall and the ministry of foreign affairs draft 3 letters:

To: the United States Government
From: the United Socialist Parliaments
Encryption: low

We regret that the 'special relationship' between our nations has been broken in the misunderstanding of recent years. The USP would like to mend this and assure you that we hold you in the highest regard, to strengthen this we would like to begin mass trading of consumer goods between our nations. We also would like to begin working on a joint project to produce an automatic assault rife to rival the Kalashnikov Rifle. We would like to export 10,000 tonnes of Coal, and large amounts of Natural Gas to the US yearly on the condition that (A) you sell us your military bases on USP soil and remove nuclear weaponry form the USP or (B) remove nuclear weaponry and sign a Non-aggression pack between the US and the USP. We severely condemn the shooting of president Truman

To: The United Socialist Soviet Republic
From: The United Socialist Parliaments
Encryption: low

Comrades, we as fellow socialists would like to provide agricultural supply's with outcost in return for Soviet engineers to help build our armament base in the new five year plan and to help in the design and construction of better defenses in fortress Britannia. We also ask that we mutually guarantee each others right to independence. We would also ask that we both agree to support our socialist brothers fighting oppression abroad.

To: The Kingdom Of Egypt
From: The United Socialist Parliaments
Encryption: None

We in the USP have recognized that you as a nation has remained one of the few to not leave the British sphere of influence. Since the Labor victory and subsequent Socialist outlook many nations have chosen to simply remain a member of the Commonwealth. We have heard reports of nationalist cry's coming from your country and ask that you consider what to do next carefully. As much as we care for our colonies we are no longer imperialists. If you wish then you have every-right to hold a referendum for becoming a free nation. If it is what you want you may also leave the Commonwealth. However we would ask that you allow mutual control of the Suez canal so that the USP can feel secure in its trade routes. You will be compensated for allowing us this privilege.

January 5th, 1951

The reply from White Russia was received in the early morning of the next day. Stalin reluctantly awoke from his slumber and was notified. Immediately, he put on his ceremonial Marshal's uniform. With medals, ribbons, and a swift sabre at his side, he looked the part of a leader. The proposed site was Kalingrad in the Demilitarized Zone. The plane was readied and those who boarded was Premier Stalin, General Secretary Shvernik, and the entirety of the Council of Ministers, 13 men in all.

They arrived in a hour and half. They could not see if the Diplomacy Center had anyone in it or not so they waited. A telegraph was sent to the Whites.

We have arrived.

Back in Ivanograd, a telegram was intercepted and then rerouted to Stalin's party. They replied the following:

To: The United Socialist Parliaments
From: The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

Comrades, we are delighted by your request and welcome it with open arms. Our method of Five Year Plans has been progressing nicely since their inception, but any help is appreciated. We accept your request. We also ask one other request, that we both share our technological advancements and intelligence information in order to guarantee our mutual prosperity.

Subj: Suez and Commonwealth
Msg: The join control of the Suez canal is an excellent idea. This should allow both our nations to prosper in both the economy, and relations between the former Egyptian mandate and British Empire.

As for our independence, I have no request. The people, surely, do not want independence from the greatest Empire ever known on this Earth.

Sincerely,

Belgrade, Yugoslavia

Marshal Tito was overseeing a military parade, the Yugoslavian Military was in top-notch strength, and they were doing fairly well militarizing themselves. The Yugoslavian government and the Albanian government were in the process of a merger between the two nations. Relations were excellent and Tito was sure it would go well. Meanwhile he would focus on increasing influence in Hungary and Austria, one which was communist and the other capitalist. Tito wanted Yugoslavia to be the strongest player in the Balkans, he decided he needed a few allies in the process though, and sent a letter to Bulgaria.

To Bulgaria SSR

The Yugoslavian government has decided that we should offer a possible alliance with the Bulgarian government. The Yugoslavians and Bulgarians have similar beliefs and ideals and I believe that together we can help spread the ideals of socialism and equality all across the Balkan peninsula. Another possible benefit is that we can try to help the other in times of danger as socialism hasn't quite cemented itself in Europe.

From Marshal Tito of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
Political and religious views don't define whether you are a good or bad person, unless you want to actively hurt everyone who doesn't believe what you say.

He was overjoyed, he finnaly has an ally to help.

Suez, Kingdom of Egypt
The arrival of British troops and armor, along with the establishment of a military installation near the port city of Suez, angered nationalists and anti-British Egyptians. As a result, many separatists joined forces and held an official meeting, near the Suez city, but far enough not to arouse the interests of the British occupational forces. There, they planned rebellion.

"King Farouk I is a British puppet!" one revolutionary called out from among the crowd of revolutionaries.

"Yeah!!! He can no longer lead the Egyptians. All he does is allow the British to trample our land, steal our cotton, and kick us around!!! HE'S A PUPPET, AND WILL ALWAYS BE A PUPPET! We can't stand for it!!! Free EGYPT NOW!!!" another revolutionary continues.

Civil unrest continues to boil up. The nationalism spreads, city to city, but no open rebellion is yet to occur. The monarchical government is ignorant of the situation, and the revolutionaries want to keep that for as long as possible. For now, the revolutionary leader in the Egyptian military calls for national leaders of Communism to depose of the capitalist monarchical government that oppresses them. These are what the revolutionary leaders, Major General Muhammad Naguib and Colonel Gamal Abdel Nasser send to communist nations.

TO: COMMUNIST/SOCIALIST GOVERNMENTS ONLY, except USP
To: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Russia), People's Republic of China, Bulgarian Soviet Socialist Republic, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
From: Major General Muhammad Naguib of the Free Officers of the Egyptian Soviet Republic
Subject: Revolution
Message: Following the oppressiveness of the unrighteous King Farouk I, a capitalist puppet, we call upon the governments of the Communist world to unite and aid our revolution, when it is called into action. The Free Officers of the Egyptian Army, Navy, and Air Force have heard the people's cries for equality instead of monarchism. We cannot do it without the aid of our communist comrades, however.

Your prompt replies will be greatly appreciated,
Muhammad Naguib, Major General of the Egyptian Soviet Red Army of the Egyptian Soviet Republic

Maj.Gen. Naguib and Col. Gamal are well aware that capitalist nations will surely defend the Egyptian monarch's regime. After all, they should only wish to see capitalism flourish.
