Lark nodded in his direction "Tobius... May I request of you how you were asked here? you do not bear the markings of a hero who is seen doing his work." Lark's dusty ogren tongue let out the words with fluency but his tongue simply wasn't built for this language.

"That's a long story my friend," The thief's eyes darted to the orge's belt where a pouch of coins hung, "how about you tell me yours first?" There were way too many people here for his liking, easier to steal from in a crowd, they were, but he was liable to get killed seventy times over if he did so. Thus he decided to go one by one, stealing from the rich, them, and giving to....himself.

"93 years and you've just started drinking? Do elves of your kind abstain from drinking entirely? What do you imbibe in?" Erna chuckled a little before speaking again. "If you would like, I could drink most for you." Homme only thought for a second to offer him coca extract before abstaining. You don't offer a casual acquaintance your medicine. Especially when you needed it more.

"It's quite the tale, my early life was an odd one." He said with a laugh, taking another slight sip of the ale before setting the glass down with a quiet clank. "But, long story short, they didn't allow alcohol where I grew up. Or, just about anything, to be honest. Maybe I'll tell you the rest sometime." Cyris said with a chuckle, patting Sirthi on the shoulder as a bit of reassurance

Sandersonia giggled at the mermaid's words "Well, there is a difference between mermaid and land dweller societies," she said, taking a sip of her ale, "Land dwellers are more settled. They have a different way of surviving. Its not a daily fight, more of a long struggle. For some, there is no struggle at all." She took another sip. "This gives them a lot of time to do things other than survive. Some use this time to experiment. Alcoholic beverages were just one of these experiments," she said. She took another sip of her ale. "You understand?" she said.

"IIIIIHHH! Freaky fish people!" the toucan said softly. Sandersonia looked at the toucan. "Quit with the rude remarks," she said. The toucan nodded again and looked ahead again.

"Not if we stick together. With everyone acting as one, the whole is strong, and there is no weak." Cyris remarked kindly, setting the now-empty ale glass on a table gently and quietly, a small headache developing in his head. This caused Cyris to gently press his hand to his forehead instinctively, a wave of pain hitting him.

Lark raised his ale and said "Amen!" to the 'we are idiots' remark before he returned to his conversation "Mine is a long story as well, To simplify I was in several battles as a mercenary and later a defender of the north. I request you stop looking at my belt, it is rather close to something which begins to get people talking." Lark smirked as he raised his mug "So yourself? Sandersonia raised her glass to Cyris in agreement. She nodded to Lark as well, giggling a bit. She turned her head to Lyns. "So when is meeting gonna start," she said, "Or are we just here to drink you dry." she giggled then took another sip of her ale.

"I may pass up the latter, I'm already developing a headache. And yes, I know I'm a lightweight you damn parrot." Cyris said with a laugh, enjoying the conversation that was ensuing. "But, I would like to know more about being a.....Traveler, correct? I doubt the duties of one involves mingling with one another while consuming alcohol." He said with a lighter laughter, and more of a chuckle.

Chespir strolled leisurely through the calm and relatively empty streets, bow on his back, gourd in his right hand. An icy breeze swept through the walled city, encouraging the young elf to pull his cloak tighter across his chest. An elf in the mountains, what was the world coming to?
This was where Lyns had chosen to shack up? This poncy little place? The Lyns Herah? Madness. It was all madness.
Silver pulled down his hood and yawned, sleeves falling back down his arms. He blinked thrice and looked around properly. Lyns' place shouldn't be so damn hard to find, it was supposedly just a two story inn with a courtyard at the front.
He pushed on, passing the aforementioned inn twice whilst searching the town for it. In fairness, he was mainly staring at the impressive clock-tower, instead of at the houses. And who could blame him for climbing the impressive clock-tower? And would it be so wrong if he did?
Upon this logic, he ascended the tower. From the tower, he spied the inn. His next challenge would be getting down alive, something he always found difficult.
He verbalised these feelings. "Shit"

Slowly, and with great difficulty, he found his way down, though he was bleeding unsettlingly from his left leg.
He set off towards the brickwork mistake which now served as Lyns' home.

Chespir rapped upon the door with his now-free right hand, the gourd resting safely in his canvas satchel.

Lyns froze, as he heard three familiar raps on his door, before returning to his lax state, a small, pleasant smile tugging at his lips.

"It is open, Chespir."

He had heard that the elf was on the list, though he refused to believe it at first. It would be good to see his friend again. He already began to make another two glasses for the elf.

Lily smiled once again when Lyns complimented her name, and then simply nodded when he said they would see how to communicate later, before leaving him alone so that he could attend to his other guests. She figured that, if nothing else came up, spelling out the words on his palm would work, though it could take a long time and he might lose track of her message if it was very long. Writing was a more reasonable option. She could write just fine and it didn't take her nearly as long as spelling out words with her finger, though it was a bit unreasonable to assume that there would always be writing implements available for her to use during their travels.

Either way, she was content that the man who was to evaluate them, Lyns, offered to help her so much. He seemed to somehow find her worthy, as well, given that he had not asked her to leave or anything like that, which she was fairly sure he would have done had he not found her fit for joining the Travelers. Or, perhaps, the test simply hadn't come yet. That was something to think about, certainly.

Regardless, all she did for now was stand back, close to the wall, and simply observe the others as they drank and spoke, the current topic being a compelling analysis of the behavior that prompted people to drink alcohol. Once again, she tuned them out for the most part. She didn't find the conversation particularly interesting, though the background noise was... Calming, in a way. She clasped her hands in front of her for a while, before deciding to take her lyre into her hand once again instead of leaving it lying on the table, as she could see that some of the people present had intentions that weren't quite as pristine as those of others, and her lyre, while not fitted with gold or anything like that, was still worth something, sentimental value aside.

Chespir kicked the door ajar hesitantly, removing his cloak as he did so.
He hung the cloak upon the coat-rack by the door, its forest green hue contrasting with the more pastel tones of the wall. Judging by the footprints, he was certainly not the first here, and definitely not the first to have travelled for a long time to get here.
"Good morrow!" The young elf cried out, running one hand through his hair raven hair, blue streak barely visable.

The journey to Hyirin was an arduous one, but uneventful. With each step, the carefully wrapped tools in the rucksack gave a muffled clink. It had been couple weeks since Aenor set-out from distant city of Castelmoron. He had tried to pack light, knowing that the journey would be long. However, the ruck was anything but light. Now well within the walls of Hyirin, Aenor took a sit by the wall at the edge of the street and whipped out his letter.

“Ruddy hell, this ‘Travelers’ business. Now where is this mansion?” The Engineer ran his finger across the letter, trying to navigate himself from the directions written on the letter. He had tried to draw an imaginary map in the air, and turned the letter in various directions, but after several head-wrecking moments, he had given up and exclaimed out loud.

“Oh, nads. I’m lost.”

After an exasperated sigh, Aenor abandoned all thoughts of finding his destination and took in the scenery. Hyirin was a beautiful city, with masterfully built roads, walls and buildings. The bricks were laid even, some with intricate patterns and aesthetically blending. No doubt, the Engineers and Bricklayers Guild of the city were skilled. Aenor took out a little split-head mallet and gently hammered at the wall he was leaning on. Series of dense ‘clacks’ resonated in reply, proving that bricks were of good quality. Aenor looked over the wall to inspect which mansion had hired such fine masonry and looked flabbergasted for a second. It was the Herah Residence that he had been searching for. In a moment of glee, Aenor picked himself back up and rushed inside.

Gently creaking the door open, he took in the scenery with a moment of hesitation. It was what one would call an abominable mixture; elves, golems, a blue and rather aquatic looking woman, if it could truly be called a woman, and a sort of half-snake, half-human creature to say the least.

The tattered and greasy Engineers Guild robe that Aenor wore seemed almost made him look under-dressed compared to some garments. However, most were already socializing paid Aenor not much heed. Setting his ruck down in a corner, he approached the woman wearing a variant of Healers Guild robe. The healers were great allies of Engineers, often working quite close in case of injuries resulting from Engineers’ line of work and experimentations.

“My Lady Healer.” Aenor held his left arm behind his back and curtly dipped his head in a traditional greeting of healers in Castelmoron.

"Would you look at that, another elf! It seems that you have history with some of the people here." Cyris said with a welcoming tone to the elf that just entered the room, regarding Lyns recognizing of Chespir quite easily.

Lyns chuckled, watching the elf enter forcefully.

"Chespir, I'd advise you to work on your entrances. Less than stealthy." He pointed at the ale.

"Drink?" he asked, though he knew the answer.

He saw another man enter behind him. "Welcome. Here for the Travelers? Lyns." he introduced himself, outstretching his hand.

"Oi!" Laila called over her shoulder to Lyns before turning around. "Got any more? I'm certainly no lightweight." She raised her mug to him, waiting for it to be filled once more, but something caught her eye. A young elvish man with black hair had entered, and when he ruffled it with his hand, she noticed a small streak of a wild blue. He and Lyns greeted each other. Chespir? What an interesting name.

"Laila," she said, sticking out her tan hand to greet him, and grinned. "From the Kalharthi tribe."

Sandersonia giggled. "So many people. How many more are gonna join," she said, "Lyns, you might have to buy more booze by the end of this." She took another sip of her ale. The crew was a motley of different races. Humans, ogres, elves, a mermaid, even a golem. Including her, a lamia. It was very diverse group.

Lyns nodded, clearly not seeing that the statement was a joke. "Luckily I don't drink heavily. This will put a dent in my supply. Well, more along the lines of a complete decimation."

He slid another drink over to Laila. He checked the pipes. A sliver of ale remained. He sighed.

Arella simply stood in the midst of it all, taking in all who suddenly began to surround her. In a matter of minutes the place had gone from introductions to the feeling that they really were in some sort of busy tavern. Something bugged her slightly, and she began to get a feeling of awkwardness. All who she had managed to begin introductions to had left to pursue other conversations. She didn't mind, really, but it just left her there by the counter observing everyone. This would no doubt be the oddest bunch of people she had worked with, and she had been to the coast.

A voice from beside her along with a curt bow caught her attention. She turned on her heel to face him. He had the look of a working man, which she had seen many times before. Like the blacksmith from her home town or the engineers who worked along the roadside towns outside of Cerdra, he seemed exactly that but with a hint of gentlemanly charm in him.

She bowed her head in return and did a short curtsey. It was so much easier when she actually knew what she was doing when greeting people. This man was from Castelmoron, a familiar place she had visited a few times. "Good day, sir." She straightened up. "You're here for the Travelers, I presume. May I ask your name?" She was good with small, polite, well rehearsed conversation hat followed introductions, but past that she knew it would be difficult.

Chespir grinned. "If I wanted to get in without attracting attention, we both know that I'd be safely upstairs by now, planting explosives."
He then turned to the other elf, still grinning. "Chespir Silver of the eastern kingdoms, pleased to meet you." He extended his right hand, using his left to raise the flagon of ale to his slightly burnt lips.

"I bet you are," Laila joked before inviting him to sit across from her. "So, Chespir of the eastern kingdoms," she added the title sarcastically, "Why have you been called to the Travelers?" As she awaited his response she took a drink of ale, letting the malty flavor sit on her tongue before gulping it down. The alcohol grew cold as it came to her flesh, but she didn't mind. Over the past seven years she had grown accustomed to constant cold.

Chespir laughed and moved to sit across from the sarcastic female, but was stopped by a sharp pain in his leg.
"I don't want to be that guy, but I appear to be bleeding profusely." He announced, before wincing and taking a seat.
He turned back to the female. "And who might you be, Oh Great Sarcastic One?" He grinned again. It was probably becoming unsettling, especially given the copious levels of blood lost.

Lark quickly remembered an ogren tale of Chespir, before recalling, with a shudder, the title of this one, Flametender. Lark felt a wave of eminence at the living legend who stood, wounded, at the door. Maybe it was just the smell of burning.

Lark turned back to Tobius as out came an admission of his actions. Lark was suddenly grim as a reaper. "Ah, indeed. Then I have nothing but my apologies, the creation of something so terrible should be on the mind of no man." Lark finished off his ale, he was trying to slow down but as he went for the fourth it became obvious no such thing was happening. Lark returned to Tobius with a top-up for his ale, he then sat on the floor with sufficient height that he was still taller than the also sat Tobius. Lark changed the subject "I must admit, our leader's child must be a sound sleeper, I would've been awoken by such noise. Then again, I have never experienced the presence of a second floor."

Arella was going to continue the conversation with the man who had introduced herself, but the very loud, flamboyant voice of an elf caught her ear. She turned her head slightly to look over her shoulder. There he sat, wincing in pain and...oh well that was blood running down his leg. She turned back to the man and gave a quick, apologetic bow. "I apologize, I will be back in a moment."

She walked over and stood beside the elf, looking down at his leg. "I believe it would not be wise to let that go without treatment...sir." Her eyes flickered up to his. "May I assist you?" Her hands were already ready to begin digging through her packs to find the appropriate tools.
