Welcome to the Last of Us Chicago. A Last of Us RP taking place in inside and outside Chicago. Both inside and outside the wall. Chicago, was hit hard by the CDI infection, but after the effort of brave US soldiers and civilian militia, Chicago, at least some of it, became habitable again. FEDRA, the remains of the US government, quickly built a wall, like all of the remains of former US Cities, and began a, in the words of the Fireflies, a oppressive regime. About 20,000 people live inside the wall of Chicago, with at least one battalion of US military soldiers providing law and order. There are about 300-700 Fireflies in the city, fighting a losing war against the US military.

Before we get to the important stuff, I like to say something about supplies,weapons and ammo.

Unless you are military, you will have a limited supplies, and probably have have no more then one or two magazines for military grade weapons unless your military. If you are non-military or firefly/bandit, you will be limited to pistols only.

This takes place before Joel and Ellie's adventure.

Fireflies-The Fireflies are a anti-government militia that calls for the return of all branches of the US government, instead of what they call a Military Regime. They are fighting a losing war against the military, whom they view as tyrants ,and are one of the few organized factions looking for a vaccine for the CDI infection and will do anything to find it. They are spread through the US, but are primarily based in Salt Lake City.They where founded sometime after the CDI infection, in response to the US military martial law in the Quarantine zones.

The US military-They are controlled by FEDRA, the remnant of the U.S. government after the worldwide outbreak of cordyceps brain infection. They remain at Quarantine Zones to ensure that all uninfected persons are under watch and to protect them from the plague outside. The military ensures that nobody leaves the zones to prevent further infection, if so they may use deadly force. They have enacted martial law throughout the Quarantine zones. They are formed from all branches of the US military, including the remains of the police department.

Other Factions-Hunters-Hunters are hostile survivors so named due to their tendency to brutally kill anyone entering their territory (referred to by hunters as "tourists") in order to steal their clothes, supplies, and food

Bandits.

And Cannibals-These are survivors who have resorted to the capture and murder of any travelers who come to their territory, chopping up and eating them as a means of survival due to the shortage of food in the post-infected world.

Rules: 1: No Godmodding or Metagaming.
2: For non-military characters, remember, you have limited supplies and ammo, no saying you have a infinite supplies of them.
3: For non-military and firefly/bandit characters, you are limited to Pistols only. If your outside the wall, I'll be more lax, but inside the wall, don't expect to have a military-grade pistol or hard-to-conceal one. Also, yes you can pick up weapons you find.
4: All NS rules apply.
5: Be respectful to others, remember, it's just a game.

Mind me asking, why are bandits limited to only pistols? Completely unfair if you ask me ,but allowing us to use makeshift weapons such as bow and dig up very old weapons that barely work would tip the odds of survival a bit. Until then I'll not make a app.

So bandits can have things other then pistols.

Headshots will only work if the person is not wearing a helmet. Allowing bandits, fireflies, and military people to have such weapons would mean that survivors would get killed. Not to say that the hunters in that one city had a freaking modified Humvee. Also, if a regular survivor kills a bandit and that bandit had a makeshift gun then a unseen wall will prevent them from picking up that gun.

So a non-bandit / army character could have an improvised me lee weapon too, eg - an ice axe (for mountain climbing), a machete, etc?

After being orphaned Jason grew bitter and turned to banditry to ensure he survives. Constantly on the move he makes use of his smarts attracting infected to concerned survivors and having them be torn apart.

After some years he landed in Chicago and found a walled city where he preyed upon survivors outside the wall. Jason also dragged wounded survivors back to a hideout he dug out and after a few weeks they were found once again, with their throat torn out.

As a firefly now, she could be just another fighter in a lost cause but to be living for something, a purpose, is all she's ever wanted anyhow.
