[Resolution Number: 645812A]

Preamble

The Syrian crisis has been raging on for almost three years now. It has cost an uncountable number of lives and it dislocated even more.
Since the Iranian intervention alot has changed, rebels are being caught, currently 118 nationalities. This makes it an international case, and so we need the help of the international community to end this, and punish those resposable.

What you propose?

While Iran has made firm steps, we are not even close of any ending.
Therefor Iran proposes the following meassures:

-A force of peacekeepers will be deployed in Syria after Iran has libirated Syria from the named terrorist organisations.
1. Peacekeepers will be responsible for keeping the peace along side Iranian forces and Syrian forces untill the terrorist threat hits a low point.
2. Peacekeepers will be asked from neutral countries, to give terrorists no gain, not even on propaganda scale.

-International action against those who leave their countries to fight alongside the named terrorist organisations in Syria.
1. Affected countries will arrest those if they return at any point.
2. Those arrested will be prosecuted by International law on terror and/or by the effected authorities.
3. Those arrested will be placed on a list, keeping an eye on them is cucial.

-International action against those who support the named terrorist organisations.
1. Those proven to support the named terrorist organisations face severe military, diplomatic and economic sanctions.
2. Those proven to support the named terrorist organisations will be arrested and brought to trial.

-International obligation to share intell on terrorism with the international community.
1. Those proven not willing will face trial of the international court.

Named terrorist organisations: Al-Nusra Front, ISIS, Islamic Front of Syria, Ahfad al-Rasul Brigade, ISIL, Army of Mujahedeen and others associated with Al-Qaeda and its cooperatives.

What should we expect if this is enacted?

Iran expects that this will start the end of global and regional terrorism by the means of a united world.
Iran also expects that, with the removal of a large part of terror, sability will return not only in Syria, but in the whole region.
This, if not as planned, can be handled in a new resolution regarding the stability of the midddle-east.

Signed,

President Hassan Rouhani
The Islamic Republic of Iran

"The Chinese government says Nay to this resolution as it does not explain how or if the region will be stabilized afterward."

OOC: I edited the resolution a bit. Its hard to say wether and how much the stability would improve. Therefor i stated that it can be handled in another resolution later on. When terrorism hits an all time low there is much more potential in securing the stability of the region. But the problems then won't be just terror. Iran sees no need to go after every problem that would lower the stability, it needs to be handled one at a time.

[Resolution Number:0-42136942]

Preamble

NOTING that Somaliland has been very successful at building a stable nation despite being in a war torn region.

IMPRESSED that Somaliland has been able to create a stable economy with a stable currency despite getting very little aid from international aid donors.

ACKNOWLEDGING that Somaliland has been able to halt Islamist terrorists within it's borders.

APPLAUDING that Somaliland has made great strides toward getting rid of pirates in the Gulf of Aden.

What you propose?

The U.N recognizes Somaliland as independent from Somalia.

The U.N admits Somaliland to the U.N as a full member.

The U.N recognizes Somalilands currency, Somaliland shilling, as legal tender allowing international aid donors to give donations to Somaliland more easily.

The U.N removes all sanctions on territory that will now make up Somaliland.

What should we expect if this is enacted?

Somaliland will help stabilize the region, end piracy in the Gulf of Aden, and help fight Islamist terrorist groups in the region.

(We want Iran to be entirely uninvolved; not a single Iranian soldier. The resolution specifically gives an excuse for Iranian 'liberation'.
Now, no more OOC in IC.)
