Detailed Description:

The year is 2030, and superheroes and villains have become widespread. There are many 'norms' who are, in reality, 'supers', but they hide their powers. Many heroes and villains are on government payrolls, fighting wars, destroying and saving lives and leading the world towards a one-world government.

The year is 2045, and The United Nations of America is the only nation standing. They hold the world under their control, ruling with an iron fist. The UNA started out as a benevolent entity in 2039, but less than a decade has turned them into a corrupt organization, using supers as enforcers. A secret group made of former intelligence members from across the world, known simply as the Cell, have formulated a plan to take down the UNA, and return the former nations to power.

The Cell are collecting 'norms' from around the world who are, in secret, Supers. They will be initiating a project that was put on file in 2026, Operation Lightspeed, which was designed to end any one-world government that came into power. These supers will have all data on them wiped from the world databases, all traces destroyed. They will be given Codenames, and allowed to wear either a regulation uniform or a custom costume.

Operation Lightspeed is the world's last chance at freedom. Failure is not an option.

Need Help With: Mostly gaining interest, as well as fleshing out a few plot points (missions, etc.)

Detailed Description: In a world much like ours, Association Football (Soccer for North American anglophones) is all the rage and the most popular sport on the planet. Well, just like in our own world, anyways. However, there is a very, very big difference: football is magic. And not in a figurative sense.

I'll explain: in this alternate world, when a football players puts enough passion, willpower and skill in the game, he gains the temporary ability to bend the ball and the playing field to his will. This translates into a number of powerful techniques, which vary from player to player and from skill level to skill level.

Of course, after a few near-death experiences and missing limbs, The British Football Association and then FIFA put tight regulations in place to administer the use of Techniques (Techs) and other magical derivates. Thanks to the breath-taking magic component of the gameplay, Association Football became even more popular than it was before. Yes, even in the US.

The year is now 2014, the FIFA World Cup in Brazil is starting soon, and so are the FIFA Men's and Women's Under-17 World Cup. All the prominent football powerhouses of the world are starting to assemble their teams, and the United States Soccer Federation has just decided to hold a nationwide tournament to choose the football club that will represent the USA in the upcoming Under-17 World Cups.

The Los Angeles-based Strike Angels, a female team trained by the elite football school Elysium High, are the favorite team, led by talented midfielder Micaela "Miki" Rios. Or well, they were led by Micaela Rios: after an undisclosed incident where Rios apparently objected to making use of performance-enhancing drugs, the Chicana star of the team promptly got kicked out of the team and the school along with a few fellow team members, guilty of having backed up Rios' decision.

Determined to get a sports-based revenge on her former team andwin the tournament to gain a place in the Under-17 Women's World Cup, Micaela and the other ex-Strike Angels decided to search for new players and form a new football team...

What up NSers, currently i'm thinking of starting up a Titanfall RP. If you don't know what that is, you can check it out here and here. It is based in the near-future, and takes place in a deep space region known as the frontier. A Earth based corporation is attempting to exploit the resources of the frontier, without regard to the colonists that live there, and the colonists eventually rebel, with the Frontier Militia pitted against the military arm of the IMC(Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation).

Basically I want it to be a character based RP, where people can choose to fight for freedom by joining the frontier militia, or fight for money and greed with the IMC. Now i'm just brainstorming how to move forward and flesh out these ideas, and would welcome any help from my fellow NS'ers.

So, ideas anyone?

Well, at first glance, it looks fairly well made. I noticed that you have a 'voice' field in your character application. While that is indeed interesting I'd suggest you label it as optional, as some people might not, for example, have clips of their character's intended voice at hand. Otherwise, I think you just have to wait and bump it every so often, perhaps post an ad in the official advertisement thread to get your RP some more exposition. Ask the people who have signed up to get the word out if they have any friends on here, TG some people you know to see if they'd like to join.

Of course, if after all of this it doesn't work out perhaps your roleplay simply isn't most people's cup of tea. Don't be discouraged and try again later, it might work out then.

You might want to post an interest application for this concept. Among other things, it helps the other inferior, hashtag-needing Mentors find your pitch and give you any advice they may have. I, personally, am not knowledgeable regarding Titanfall, so my apologies for not being able to say much.

You might want to expand a bit more on Fall Bridge, what life is like there and such. Are there schools, workshops, libraries anywhere? Things of that nature. In addition, you could elaborate on the three factions you mention in the OP. As it is, you just name them, but say nothing about them, so you might want to work on that, give them some depth. What are their goals? Who are they? Who do they serve? What do they do?

You might also want to add some equivalence levels, seeing how you have a stat system. By equivalence levels I mean "1 in strenght means you can lift X." It's not strictly necessary since you'll probably just use it for reference, but it might help.

Lastly, you could post an ad in the advertisement thread to see if it garners you some more interest.

Well, I'm afraid if people don't seem to take interest in it even though you've tried to draw it in, then there's not much else you can do.

Try bumping your thread every so often, see if it makes people notice your RP a bit more. But don't do it too often, that's generally regarded as poor form.

It's taken me 4 times to get a topic and OP that people like to take off, so it can sometimes take a while.
