Direct sunlight would do damage, I'll admit. I'm translucent.
Indian food also generally makes me feel like I'm dying about an hour after eating. I wonder if Nightkill has access to anything like that...

In that case,

Well, that goes without saying. Harriers came to the end of their operational span and it was a toss up between keeping them on or keeping the Tornado. Tornadoes were and are far more important to current British operations than any variant of Harrier. More to the point, it's better suited to operations in Afghan.

There are RAF Typhoons at Red Flag. 6 Squadron are present, accompanied by Tornadoes from IX Squadron and a single AEW-1 Sentry from 8 Squadron. For 14-1, the only other (outside of the UK/US) player is the Royal Australian Air Force. Other European nations will probably be at 14-2.

EDIT: And also,

Typhoons are badass.

Let's just hope (assuming that they're taking part) that this RF turns out better for the Raptor and the JSF than last time.

Will do. Just as a way to make sure i can nip the app in the bud on the first round, what would OP prefer I RP as? I was kinda hoping I could either RP as a French female spy, working for the underground or as an American OSS agent.

Possibly the former since the OSS hasn't been formed yet in the RP's timeline (Jan 1941), though the British SOE is around. Probably best to TG Tiger about it.

Name: George Degnan
Age: 34
Occupation: CEF (Canadian Expeditionary Force
Physical Description/Picture: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... usulin.jpg
Country of Origin: Montreal, QB, Canada
RP Experience: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=256563
Personal History/Bio (more than one line please): It's been said that if George's father wasn't a soldier in the Great War, he would of like to of had a job as a teacher. His interest in European studies carried through well into his adult years, which earned him an Honors Degree in European Social Constructs upon graduating at LCCC, with the highest marks of his class. By time of his graduation the year was 1939, and the Second World War was about ready to rear its ugly head.

As the British mobilised, so did Canada. George was apart of a joint French/Canadian division used to delay the German advance through Brussels. Communication with the French became complicated, partly due to limitations of English translators. But George's Quebecois heritage cast him as head of frontline communication for his battle group, which was often accredited with saving many French lives during the retreat through the Ardennes. As mighty as the came however, the BEF was outmatched by the power of the German blitzkrieg, any chance of holding France was essentially lost.

During the Dunkirk evacuation, George and a few other of his French comrades volunteered to temporarily hold a crucial checkpoint whilst the rear guard of a battered French division retreated. To the last man, George and his 14 colleagues stayed behind and fought with valiant effort, before finally retreating. Of the 15 that stayed behind, 7 were killed and another 4 were captured. George and several of the others retreated to the docks to London, with the fallen France behind them. At this time, George contemplated going home to Quebec, hoping to sit out the rest of the war. But then, as if it were fate, a knock was heard on his door...*

*(I leave this part open because I would like my RP character to be introduced as a member of Excalibur personally coming to George to recruit him into active service, if that would be okay.)

Despite the assurances that his homeland would remain neutral, George had an incling that this peace would soon shatter, a notion that wouldn't happen until 2 years later, at Pearl Harbour.

With the USA now at war with Nazi Germany and Japan, and the Allies now given the grace of the American war machine, things started to look good for the freedom loving world. It took just over another year for George to be approached at his home in Cheyenne, by OSS recruiters to operate as a spy for some top secret British organisation. George's qualifications in French and Intermediate logic put him essentially on the front line of men the OSS needed in Europe. So without much hesitation, George agreed, signed the appropriate documents and waivers, and before he knew it he was on a ship bound for Portsmouth.

Looks decent.

Though just as a note the OSS wasn't formed until June 1942, in the RP it's now January 1941 and so a year and a half before your character can show up.

OK, probably suggest changing this line;

With the USA now at war with Nazi Germany and Japan, and the Allies now given the grace of the American war machine.

The US didn't enter the war until December 1941, still a year in the RP before that happens.

A possible alternative is having your guy joining the Canadian Army when war broke out in 1939, then work his way into the intelligence branch before getting recruited by SOE.

I find it terribly amusing of how the SIS and MI5 doesn't seem to exist in the ES canon; they did get caught up in a great three way dick waving contest against the SS/MI5 and the SOE after all.
