Okay, how was Yoshi even supposed to respond to that. "Yes, ma'am." he said in his usual, soft manner. She was quite rude, stepping in front of him that way. He gingerly stepped out of her way and extended his hand to Peter. "M-mr. Peter right?" he asked. He did not care what Mrs. D thought of him. She was cruel and hateful and did not deserve his friendship. But, he could not help but feel sorry for her.

"None of which sounds fun." Toscha shrugged. He looked concerned though, and now glad that he managed to get packed and ready before anything seriously went wrong. "So are we leaving the island, or what?" He asked, looking around for any sort of transportation, be it a plane or a helicopter. He saw nothing of the kind, and assumed they'd be moving inland or something.

"Caves or something, right?"

"No, how about we just sit here and let the storm wipe us out?" Tieria suggested. It was his attempt at humor and it probably wouldn't get him a good reputation, but he said it anyway. He was a dark person, it could not be helped. He wondered where Minerva was. He longed to tell her how he felt. Alas, the OP tool had vanished from the island.

"Oi, that's me name!", Peter said cheerfully. Mrs. Dimitrov huffed and crossed her arms.

"So crude."

Peter grinned and gave Yoshi a wink. "Eh, the Mrs. Can be stuffy, if ya haven't noticed, hehehe."
"Says the haggard old ruffian."
"The same haggard old ruffian who whoo'd you back in the '80s."
"T'was a misguided judgement. I was young and stupid."
"Well, young alright, but not stupid."
"Don't flatter me.", She said curtly.
"Aaaawww, I was just bein' gentlemanly.", He chuckled back.

Katya crossed her arms and mumbled something beneath her breath. Mrs. Dimitrov was annoyed. Peter was having a good time.

"Um..i-it's Christmas so i-if you could be a little bit nicer to each other that would be great." He winked to Peter so that he would know that he was only talking to the cranky one. He ran his fingers through his hair and turned to Katya, taking her hand gently in his. She seemed stressed, and who could blame her? His parents would NEVER have fought like that.

Torii eyed her relatives every now and then. They seriously couldn't be arguing at such a time. Were they fucking stupid?

She couldn't actually ask that, though. Who knows what kind of shitstorm that would cause. All she could do was stay near her friends and grit her teeth.

"Just think about the weather, keep your head clear. You're talking about the plan with everyone else right now. You'll get'em all when it's time to go."

....

Peter chuckled. "Yea, let's get along. Afterall, we'll probably be running to shelter together soon, so we don't wanna be in a bad way. No need to fight in the panic rooms or whatever they have here."

Mrs. Dimitrov huffed again , and turned away. At least she was quiet now...

"Thanks.", Katya whispered. "Can't they save their talks for a better time? Everyone is freaking out over a storm right now, I swear."

"The lady who warned Giovenith and I said we were heading to caves, I believe," said Willow, taking a moment to glance over his back at the newly arrived Tieria. "If they are positioned correctly, yes, they do have the ability to protect us from it. It might be wet and messy, but we'll live to see the next day. ... No, how about we don't?" He said the last part to Tieria's attempt at a joke with just a slight hint of snappishness. Pessimism was just as obnoxious and unproductive as overzealous optimism. "Look, we all want to make it through this, and we can. But only if we keep on our hooves the right way."

"Uhhh, guys?" Giovenith took it upon herself to quietly approach Yoshi and the Dimitrov family, who seemed to be having something between a cheerful meeting, and . "Miss Katya is right, this is an emergency. I don't want to scare anyone, but we are all in very real danger right now, so reminiscing and talk of Christmas reeeeeeeally probably shouldn't be on top of out list of conversation topics. Would could all die if we're not on target." She blinked apologetically, before turning to Torii. "Yuna told me and Willow that she was put in charge of warning others, so she could be anywhere right now. She also said she wasn't sure when the storm would exactly hit..." Her eyes drifted off to the sky nervously, counting the seconds that ticked by without havoc.

Yoshi nodded. "Now, if we could get the heck out of here so we don't die in this storm that would be great." He giggled softly, the crisis had been resolved, but they had a bigger problem right now. He looked at Mr. D. with a questioning look, wondering if he wanted to lead. He liked Peter, he was a good guy, even if he was a little loud at times. He noticed that Katya had gotten his stuff and took it. "Thanks." he whispered. He looked at Gio. "Uh-huh"

Yuna was warning people all by herself? Well, maybe not, but Torii didn't know. She was quick to respond. "So, wouldn't it be faster to have two or more people? Yuna can't be the only one running around and warning people, right?"

Torii was still calm, but constantly tipping between surreal and tense, and right now, she was tense. What if they were all just standing around when a giant waved crashed in, and....she was afraid of the ocean. Better not to think. Yuna was probably in danger!

At least Gio had sorties things out. She was happy for that. "Thanks.", Torii mumbled, checking the horizon for her winged friend.

"More than likely like Willow here, I'm not really one for dealing with pessimism." Toscha crossed his arms, looking Tieria down sternly. The Lamia might have looked threatening, but would Toscha really hurt someone? Heck no, well, unless he needed to defend himself. Tieria didn't look too tough though. "So if we could please, lets just wait for everyone to gather."

Dora stood off by herself, arms folded, not even trying to keep her dress from flapping up in the wind at this point. Mrs Dimitrov was here, and that promised trouble, what with herself, Yoshi, Katya, Torii and Chrys all standing around. Trouble, at a later date. Even the prissy aristocrat had to know when not to start something.

She snorted at the idea of standing around. There was a distinct possibility that she'd go completely off her head and head back down to the beach to find a surfboard; but as with everything else, the awareness of her mortality overshadowed that rather asinine idea.

"What a tangled web we weave," she mused to nobody in particular. The idea of her, with all her centuries, being less mature than some of the others even for a minute's thought was quite amusing, to someone with the right sense of humor.

Chrys, meanwhile, had taken one look at Mrs Dimitrov and stomped some ways further into the jungle, to keep herself from throttling the woman. Luce trailed along behind, mindful of the need to keep at least some semblance of order, though he stopped halfway between Chrys and the larger group so he could continue to talk to both parties. Deader joined him at that point.

Low thunder rolled in the distance as Marcus brought his father and Ogoti over to Yuna and her companions. Ogoti glanced back and winced as another wave rolled in. It struck the back of the compound and crashed over it, momentarily covering the pretty tile roof in a white foam although the structure remained undamaged. The waves were coming in stronger now, slowly eating their way beyond the normal boundary and they roughly.

The jungle beyond had grown deathly still, as if the whole swatch were a frightened being looking its mortality in the eye. A gust of wind shivered the palm fronts and vines and several brightly plumed birds took flight.

Tieria smiled a bit and looked at the forest as his luscious purple hair blew around in the gusts of wind. "I suggest that we move." He said with a worried look on his face. Hardly anything scared him, but he did not want to get flattened by this storm, even if he was immortal, it would hurt like heck. He appreciated how small he was compared to the rest of the world, how weak and helpless he was, they all were, in the face of nature.

"I just stopped here to see if all of you here were alright and prepared first," sighed Willow, trotting around Tieria and further off a few feet. "Sterling still needs to be accounted for, as does the young lady who first warned us. I don't know if she reached him first, I certainly hope so... but still..."

The pony turned his head over in the direction of Sterling's cabin, tapping his face with visible worry. "I don't want chances to be taken. Sterling can't..." He stopped that horrible thought, recovering from his moment of seemingly desperate sadness before snapping back into serious-mode. "You do know-" Thunder cut off whatever Willow had been about to say, as his attention instantly flicked to the sky with wide eyes. "... We need to go, soon."

Giovenith backed up a bit from the storm warnings, actually reaching over and hugging Torii for comfort. "We do need to go soon! But what about all the others..." It would break her heart if anyone died because they had failed to warn them.

Trailing behind the group, Ray held a series of grumbles with himself as he hauled along the bag of personal belongings that he'd held with him to the island. Laptop, clothing, miscellaneous supplies for everyday life, and the rifle: he'd bagged everything, lest it all be damaged in the incoming storm. He wasn't entirely happy with the arrangement of coming to an island for a vacation and running into a typhoon, but then again, neither was everyone else.

He seemed to hang away from Albert, choosing to head towards the large group solo. He had no knowledge of the island, and he certainly wasn't going to become entrapped in the jungle in the midst of all this: best follow along with those who actually knew what they were doing. Ray eyed the others: all of them seemed as worried as he did, aside from perhaps the cultists. But they likely were, but simply had to set a positive example for the group.

As he walked, he seemed to give a few stares towards the talking ponies. While oddities were certainly in abundance in the apartment's group, this was likely a first for spotting talking horses. The irony of Ray being a talking anthropomorphic human-fox mix was lost on him.

Rather, the mumbles gradually simmered down and instead retreated into Ray's thoughts: he would remain quiet and close to the group, leaving himself away from Albert and Jacob for the time being. He was certainly worried for both of their safeties, but he had hoped that they would be right behind the group: packing up might take a little bit for the two.

"They need to hurry.", Torii said, both as a general statement, and a shot at those who were taking too long. She didn't want to die because they had to wait for someone to show. She kicked herself for thinking like that,, though. It was mean, and Torii didn't want to be mean. She hugged her friend back, which brought some comfort back. It seemed that Ray had shown up, so that left....the Nikanors (maybe, she couldn't see them), and Blossom? No, Tasia? Torii liked that woman. She hoped that Tasia was okay.

Blossom fluttered down near Torii and sniffed the air. "We need to go." she said quickly. It was weather similar to this that had blown her into this group, she did not want to leave them in a similar fashion. She did not know where was safe but she knew that they needed to go and they needed to go now. Typhoons were now laughing matter.

Yoshi looked to Giovenith. "Gio, h-how many people are missing, he asked, since she seemed to have placed herself in charge. He did not want to die...again, it was the worst feeling ever. Once again, he was confronting his own mortality. this was quite the serious situation. The huts would offer little to no protection from the massive storm. But, others were more important to him than his own laugh, even if it meant staying out in the weather, he wanted to make sure that everyone was safe.

Tieria walked over to the others. "Tokai" he said to Yoshi. "Katya my dear, you look well. But I am afraid that we do not have time for pleasantries. We need to go before we all get wiped out."

"Did you say storm?" Calvin inquired, the only time he'd ever heard the word 'storm' used being those made of nightmares and horror that swallowed entire solar systems, and if these were the beginning throws of those very same 'storms', then these people were awfully non-chalant about their sealed doom.

"I did, yes." Dia glanced sideways. "It'll be a big one, too. As the bishop said to the actress. But there shouldn't be much to worry about, as long as we keep moving."

"Moving? Where? A bunker?" Calvin pried, his heart rate beginning to increase like it had the day he left his home for the last time. The darkening of the skies and agitation of the waters coupled with wind all foretold of coming doom, to him at least. "A bunker will work. Whatever keeps you feeling safe," Dia snarked, the sarcastic content mingling with his raspy tone to produce a paradoxically disturbing message. The sum was greater than the parts, after all; and it would probably get worse in lockstep with the weather.

He led the way through and emerged close to where Willow was, with a sudden bursting into view. A thick arm held the foliage aside so Calvin could exit.

"I-I'm not sure, though I think most everyone is here," Giovenith answered Yoshi, hugging Torii a little tighter in the process. "I don't want to leave anyone behind, but nobody is going to be safe if we all stay here for long..."

Willow jumped a bit in surprise at the sudden arrival of Dia and Calvin, but otherwise politely and silently made room for them to walk into the group.

Wren trotted after him.

The wind had picked up and a few large rain drops splattered onto her hood.

---

It was starting to rain on other parts of the island as well. The not-so-distant clouds rumbled towards the tiny island, a curtain of water cascading as it went. The waves increased in strength and began to lap at the huts nearest the shoreline, eating away at the primitive stairs and support poles. A sudden gust of wind whipped through, tearing at the thatch covering the Nikanor hut before ripping off a small piece of it. The thatch blew upward and vanished somewhere in the jungle.

Marcus looked to Yuna. "Well? Do we have a game plan or are we just going to huddle here?"

Uh . . .

Yuna shrugged. She remembered the map in her head, and knew that the caves were nearly exactly around the island from them, so they'd need to trek through the jungle to get there.

"Well, huddling here wouldn't be preferable to being in a cave, so we can head out if everyone's here."

Watching a piece of a hut being torn away by the winds, Torii gulped. The first tiny drops of rain sprinkled her face, which alerted her of a greater problem; her diary and Guitar. She opened up her jacket and stuffed the two items in uncomfortably, which was awkward, and didn't exactly help her movement either. She wriggled a bit to get space with Gio and sat her stuff down, then looked up to the godling. "I can't hold my stuff....it'll get wet..."

....

"G'day, Ti.", Katya said quickly, before a gust of wind blew her skirt and coat tail to the sides; they rested back once it had passed, but it gave her a chill.

"We do need to move. I fear it'll be bad soon."
