My Intro: This is the year 1450 and the Renaissance is in full swing, several nations and empires fight for control, while innovation brings new weapons and new ways of life to the table. Artists are a common sight, and great inventions come forth, tapping into knowledge lost when the classical age ended all those years ago. This RP will allow you to take control of a historical nation, and attempt to carve an empire out of Europe. This time, however, things will be different from the original. There will be tech advancements regularly, and America /can/ be discovered if you work for it. This RP starts historical, but will open a path to an alternate history, should you choose to go for it.

Weaknesses: Size, internal strife, and competitive neighbors all hinder the Republic.

Military size: 3,000 merchant ships, 4,000 Galleys, 7,000 ground troops.
Rules
1) There's a set time-flow, one page equals three IC months, which means a change in season every month.
2) Everything STARTS historical, right down to manpower of a nation, but it can be changed through RP.
3) Respect the Ops, me and Aleniana, we're here to help.
4) We as Ops are bound to stay neutral in arguments, and listen to both sides to see who is in the right and who is in the wrong.
5) No God-modding, don't make your nation ultra-powerful in everything, no nation was at this point in history.
6) Keep timing reasonable, nobody is going to build 200 ships with this technology in one week.
7) Technology must fit the time period, guns have only been in Europe for a few generations, and are still primitive, hand-cannons are the only form of firearms(As tech progresses basic flintlocks can be unlocked.)
8) Don't do anything stupid, pointless, or meaningless.
9) If your going on leave, tell us so we know your not just abandoning the RP.
10) Have fun.
11) You can start anywhere in Europe, Asia, Russia, Africa, etc, you CANNOT start in North or South America however.
12) When you add your nation, put it on the map(Download the map and edit it in then post it so I can keep up). If you can't do that, send a link to the empire, since we're starting historical it isn't hard to find one.
