She does this in front of your instructor? May I ask what level class this is? I've been given awkward glances in regular level courses for asking/answering questions, but have never received similar treatment in a higher level course. Maybe talking to some of the people in the class, and befriending them could help the situation? I don't know enough. Still, that's really rude. I would probably give her the death stare. I do the death stare well.
