Middle-Earth RP II (OOC/Open)

I devided the map into certain regions of wich 18 will be playable as nations.
Every nation starts without any troops, however most of the other regions will have troops to defend their country.
By trade you can train/build/improve your own troops/fortresses.
There's also a movement limit, not every nation can move as far as others.
Recrutement is very simple.
500 troops of 0 to 30 strenght will be build in a week.
500 troops of 31 to 50 strenght will be build in two weeks.
500 troops of 51 to 100 strenght will be build in three weeks.
500 troops of 101 to - strenght will be build in a month.
This aslong as you can afford it ofcourse.

Each country also has a special trade item or service.

The system is all and the same for every nation exept Isengard.
Isengard will start with only the five wizards.
They can't train any troops at start and will rely on others to see if they trade the "bleuprints" for the troops.
Also when Isengard creates war or wathever it will affect the wizards. Some could leave in the worst case.

Rings: Power:

Three Elven Rings:
1.Lothlorien (Galadriel) Magical appearance in Lothlorien will scare enemies and it will make them flee quicker.
2.Rivendell (Elrond) Water protection for Rivendell.
3.Isengard (gandalf) Increases the chance of enemy troops fleeing the battle.

Seven Dwarven Rings:
1.Erebor Increases strenght in battle of the one who carries it.
2.Ered Mithrin Increases strenght in battle of the one who carries it.
3.Khazad-dûm Increases strenght in battle of the one who carries it.
4.Ered Luin Increases strenght in battle of the one who carries it.

Nine Rings of Men:
1.Harad Increases strenght in battle of the one who carries it.

The One Ring:
1.Shire Sauron

EXPLENATION:
Each ring will give power to certain people, you can obtain one or more rings by conquest or trade.
However this is more based on Mordor.
Each ring of Men that Mordor gets will give him a Nazgul, then with each dwarven or elven ring he gets they will get stronger.
With the one ring Mordor can summon Sauron, however he (or an allie) will need to controll the Shire.
If an allie controlls it he needs to have a safe border with Mordor (without crossing enemy lands).

Training Units

Standard Infantry Units/Machines/Ships
500 under 26 base Strength can be trained in 1 week.
500 under 51 base Strength can be trained in two weeks.
500 under 72 base Strength can be trained in three weeks.
500 under 101 base Strength can be trained in a month.
100 over base Strength 100 can be trained in a month.

Trolls
40 under 601 base Strength can be trained in two weeks.
40 over base Strength 600 can be trained in one month.

Mumakil
50 of Strength 1000 can be trained in a month.

Retraining
Combat units reduced in numbers due to casualties can be retrained at the same rates as above alongside new recruitment.

Splitting Training Times
If a person wants to train, say, 250 Strength 50 units, it can be done in only 1 week.

Resource Upgrades

Resource Gained = Resources Spent
+50% Food = 10% Clothes & 20% Wood
+50% Wood=30% Iron
+50% Stone=30% Iron
+50% Iron=20% Iron & 10% Stone
+50% Copper=30% Stone
+50% Steel =20% Iron & 10% Copper
+50% Gold =10% Iron & 10% Steel & 10% Copper
+50% Mithril=10% Stone & 40% Steel
+50% Clothes=30% Wood
+50% Salt=30% Food

Unit Upkeep Costs

Figures are given per unit of Resource. In effect, maintaining/training the amount mentioned of the specific unit costs 1 unit of the resource. The U symbol after the amount of soldiers denotes an upgrade to the unit, not their base upkeep costs.

Example: When recruiting say, 5000 men, taking food and iron to make, and upgraded with steel and gold, a player consults the upkeep table. Since he has 5000 men, he looks at the food requirements. As every unit of food feeds 2500 men, he will need two units of food to feed his men. He then looks at Iron- he has 5000 men, and it takes 1 Iron to sustain 5000 men, so he only needs 1 unit of Iron to support his men. He then assesses his upgrade costs; only 3000 men can be upgraded with 1 Steel, so he needs 2 units of Steel to fully upgrade his 5000 men with Steel. Finally, every 1000 men needs 1 unit of Gold to upgrade, so he will need 5 units of Gold. So his total costs to support his five thousand upgraded men are: 2 Food, 1 Iron, 2 Steel, and 5 Gold. If he has these resources, he can recruit the men and continue to pay their upkeep for as long as he wishes.

Machines
Siege Weapons are 25 per 1 Wood, with upgrades at 10 per 1 Copper/Iron and 5 per Steel/mithril
Ships are 5 per 1 Wood, with upgrades at 2 per 1 Copper/Iron and 1 per Steel/Mithril

Fortress Upkeep Costs

Fortresses may be constructed in any player-owned region, and when constructed must choose one of two base materials:

Wood, which gives a +10% defense bonus to armies in the region. This requires 15 units of Wood.
or
Stone, which gives a +40% defense bonus to armies in the region. This requires 20 units of Stone.
A player can decide to switch the base material of a fortress at any time, as long as they have the required base material, but the Fortress is considered "under construction" for a week, and provides no bonus in that time period.

Fortresses may also be upgraded, regardless of their base material, by any combination of the following materials for additional bonuses.

Iron, which gives an additional 30% bonus. This requires 10 units of Iron.
and/or
Copper, which gives an additional 30% bonus. This requires 10 units of Copper.
and/or
Steel, which gives an additional 45% bonus. This requires 10 units of Steel.
and/or
Mithril, which gives an additonal 60% bonus. This requires 10 units of Mithril.

Any fortress may only receive each upgrade once, and (unless a regions starts with multiple fortresses) only one fortress may be constructed per region. Thus, the maximum defense bonus available for a region is a 205% defense bonus, a tripling of the strength of a defending army, with non-Dwarven factions maxing out at 145%.

I was thinking it could be used to improve the output of mined materials, since it would make it easier to smelt them, or it could replace wood for forging, or it could be used to make "Forged" weapons or armor which would be like the regular versions, but slightly stronger.

yup, dwarves only get stronger of them. but they will get the strenght that the one that carries the ring can handle a troll on his own easely.
