Cedric could feel the power of the orb, he could feel all of the new powers at his disposal. "Hahaha, time to kick some ass." Cedric said before flying up into the air, making use of his jet pack. As Cedric flew over to Decay, he pulled out his blade and made use of the countless new abilities at his disposal, repairing the damage that Decay did. Quickly, Cedric arrived above Decay, orb in one hand and blade in the other. "Hey asshole, I'm baaaaaaaaak." Cedric said before sending a bolt of black lightning(because regular lightning is boring) down at Decay, the lightning dancing down his blade before firing at Decay.

Decay was sent to the ground by the sudden force, allowing Scarecrow to advance on him.

"What the hell, that shadow lightnin' ain't me!" Scarecrow called out.

[Wabacha]

Snarling, Subject 13 was about to lunge before a bolt of black lighting arced from the sky at Decay. Rearing up in surprise, it saw that the lightning came from Cedric... And he had its ball!

Now mesmerized with The Orb, it cocked its head to the side and barked at Cedric.

Cedric looked over at Scarecrow. "Cedric's got a few new tricks!" He said rather happily while making the orb visible. He ignored the large, barking...whatever the hell that is. Cedric's current focus was on beating the shit out of Decay. So, Cedric gently landed on the ground and began slowly walking toward Decay and put his blade away. He figured he would beat the hell out of Decay using his bare hands, since he now had the necessary power to easily beat Decay in such a fight.

"Cedric, you're usin' The Orb?!" He asked rheotorically.

"The hell man, destroy it, don't use it!"

Cedric was somewhat confused by this request. The orb gave Cedric so many new powers, with this he could accomplish so much good. He could wipe the Society of Anarchy from the face of the Earth, he could destroy Decay. For decades Cedric had been working to fight evil, and now he had the chance to stamp it out completely! "Why would I do that? With this orb in the hands of good, so much could be accomplished! The Society and any who stand with them could be wiped out completely!"

Cedric was somewhat confused by this request. The orb gave Cedric so many new powers, with this he could accomplish so much good. He could wipe the Society of Anarchy from the face of the Earth, he could destroy Decay. For decades Cedric had been working to fight evil, and now he had the chance to stamp it out completely! Scarecrow took off his mask, to show how concerned he was.

"Yeah, and then what! Ya saw what Renegade did tryin' to 'cleanse the Earth', an' how'd that work out! It's too powerful for any of us to handle!"

Cedric paused for a moment. Somewhere a part of him knew that Scarecrow was right, but another part of him was saying that he could finally accomplish the goal he had been fighting three quarters of his life for. Such a prospect wasn't something Cedric wanted to just give up. "But...just...so much could be done." Cedric said. "The idea of wiping evil from the face of the Earth, of guaranteeing safety and security to the people of the world, isn't that worth the risk?" Cedric asked, almost asking himself the question as much as he was asking Scarecrow.

Cedric paused for a moment. Somewhere a part of him knew that Scarecrow was right, but another part of him was saying that he could finally accomplish the goal he had been fighting three quarters of his life for. Such a prospect wasn't something Cedric wanted to just give up. "But...just...so much could be done." Cedric said. "The idea of wiping evil from the face of the Earth, of guaranteeing safety and security to the people of the world, isn't that worth the risk?" Cedric asked, almost asking himself the question as much as he was asking Scarecrow.

"Then what're ya gonna do, start massacre common thugs in the street?! You can't erase evil!" Scarecrow replied, trying to talk sense into the man.

Cobalt Man

'Is that... the Cyborg?' He paused, concentrating on the energies again 'Yes... yes it is... The Man Who is Machine from Boston...'

With a flash of Dark Blue he went to the scene of the battle, and watched as the one known as Cedric fought a valiant battle against someone that Cobalt actually couldn't sense, which was very troubling to him. It was around this time that one of them started shouting about an orb... The Orb from before... Where had he felt that orb before... Something about... Endles-

'NO! DON'T DESTROY IT! LISTEN TO YOUR MIND! IMAGINE THE THINGS THAT ONE CAN DO WITH THE ORB!... GIVE IT TO ME IF YOU MUST BE RID OF IT!'

Cedric was in the middle of a inner crisis. On one hand, he knew Scarecrow was right. He knew his goals were unachievable, but for all these years Cedric had forced himself to try, no matter the odds. He even used such logic when talking to Shade. Each side had a moral argument, each side had a logical argument, and then some energy being or something decided it would ask for the orb. Cedric clenched his fist but ignored the urge to hurt it. It had no place in this. Cedric didn't know it, and he sure as hell didn't intend to listen to it. Scarecrow is right...but such power at my disposal, even if I can't erase evil I can remove the worst of it. But...does that make it right? Does that just give me the moral high ground? Cedric raised the orb up and looked at it, but he hadn't made his decision. He couldn't, at least not yet.

Raptor and Shade, letting the Society troopers go, turned to see Cedric finish the job.

"Good work Cedric!" Raptor offered, while Shade only removed her balaclava.

Ink walked up to the group to congratulate Cedric on his victory until he saw that Subject 13 was centered on Decay again now that The Orb was no more. He quickly ran over to it and held it back, even though he would like Decay dead as well. Now that Subject 13 knew that Ink was fine, it shifted back into its human form.

"I thought you were dead!"
"Kaya, it takes a little more than fire to kill me."

He looked up to Cedric and tipped his hat to him.

"Look man, you're already stronger'n any of us. If I could go years without superpowers, you can go without god powers."

"Yeah! Savior already has the ability to use any power at her whim...when she's ticked off" Ka'jung called out.Cypher and his men began to pack their bags.

"Well, that was pretty damn fun, well boys, How about we get a drink?" Cypher asked his men, His all nodded in agreement.

"Yea. And thanks, for reminding me about that." Cedric said, cracking the slightest of grins behind his mask. After that last comment, Cedric would have loved to shove Ka'jung's head up his ass, but Cedric decided not to try. Still, he figured that was a bit rude.

Cobalt Man

The voices in his brain screamed out as they saw Cedric destroy the orb, something they realized too late could of made them a body... if only he stole from a child... With a resigning sigh, Cobalt Man vanished, continuing his search for a body... The Cyborg would get his, eventually, he promised the voices as they arced to Seatle.

"Good; if ya ever need me, just call. Now, me an' Jess are gonna have victory sex!"

"You're so subtle..." Shade added with an eye roll. Scarecrow ignored this and literally picked her up.

"I know right! Fuck, I'm gonna have to come an' fix my car. Oh well; later bitches!"

Scarecrow casually carried Shade off like so, with Shade smiling; maybe they weren't so broken after all.

[Personal Freedom]

Stephen watched two more incredibly stirring scenes. The first was Amber being beaten be bullies. She walked home, bruised and molested, to her loving "Aunt Betty." Aunt Betty then promptly beat her again, yelled at her, and told her she was only there for the money. This was the final straw. Amber now was running up the stairs of an empty building in town. There was no stoping her, Stephen couldn't speak to her, and it would take him being there to be able to dissuade her.

"I've read about Hell. If I kill myself I'll go to the Wood of the Suicides. It can't be worse than life." Then she hesitated for a second, before jumping to the street.

Stephen couldn't stop crying as the effects of the fear gas began to wear off.

[Wabacha]

Kaya looked up at Ink, who was watching Scarecrow and Shade go.

"What are we going to do now?"
"Probably run from the police and government because I'm harboring a military experiment that endangers national security... And beat the crap out of criminals."
"..."

With those... words of encouragment, the wanted vigilante and shapshifting monster left Atlanta. But of course, they didn't see themselves that way.

[Cadia]

Sitting on the tailgate of his truck, Alex watched from afar as vehicles came flying down the highway. Some even with bullet holes in the side. He lit a cigarette and took a long drag.

"Oi! You!"

Alex looked to the side to see multiple people walking up to him, including the guy from the restaurant. "Hello fellas."

"Were you the guy who threatened Jimbo over there?" the redneck screamed, his eyes almost bulging from his head.

"He had a firearm, I wanted to see if he'd be brave enough to use it."

"Yeah, well... He's brought backup! And we're gonna take you down!" yelled a smaller, skinnier version of the big guy.

"You won't find that too fun, I must say" Alex finished his cigarette, and immediately withdrew his machete from it's holster.

"So... Whose first?"

The following is censored due to extreme violence, decapitations, disembowelment, and general chaos.

What happened back there is nobodies concern. All that matters was that Alex got a few bucks and a bottle of moonshine.

Stephen left all elements of Roy at the battle field, grabbed his bike, and went home. When he arrived at home Amber was at the movies. He sighed and began making calls. He was moving everything as soon as possible. His studio, his office, his home, and everything else was going to Carnegie as soon as possible. He was done here. This city had served its purpose.

I'll never let that happen to Amber. She is my daughter as much as she was her father's. I will never let here rot like that.

Several Days After the Defeat of Decay

Hugh sat in his airplane seat, looking at those below him working on the metal bird. He was not sure why he'd come to the city at that point. He did eventually get the 'Criminal' Rico Suave, but as his Informant Leto told him, laughing, it was a practical joke. Rico Suave was not a Drug Lord with 10,000 on his head. His only crime was that he was a early 90's Latino Rapper. When he went to go see the drug pusher who gave him the address, who was currently in the infirmary, he not only confirmed this, but told him that he thought he meant some 20 year old burn out named Roberto Suárez... He hated this city

Hugh looked forward now, toward the city, and he was actually inspired, he was going to make good on his idea of helping the UV, vigilantes for the vigilantes... If he ever ran into them again, he made sure of it.

With that, Fmr. Captain Hughey White drifted off to sleep, and within 3 hours was back in Fort Smith, Arkansas... Home at last...
