Torsiedellious and Sturmovosk wrote:"Hmmm..sure thing, Albert!", She nodded. "It was nice to meet you!"

She skipped off. Dimitrus sighed and continued following her, saying nothing to Albert.

"Vale." Albert said, walking in the other direction. He didn't say anything else to the two, mainly because he was honestly already bored talking with them. He didn't like tourists very much, but he did love the attention. He walked towards the elevator to head for the lobby, because he wanted to go walking to the nearby park to relax for a bit.

--

"Silk? Well... I guess so, I mean that would be good for him." He replied, not really giving much thought into it since part of his mind was day dreaming else where.

"He was the young man who came to interview me that time. I tested him, remember? I offered him his dream. He agreed to it, but not because he wanted to gain perfection. He wanted to use the perfection to help others. He passed the test."

She sighed. "Oh, Cornelius. He already had that perfection in him. The world has lost a very gifted young man. It pains me to see talent stripped away. I suppose he died in transport? Or maybe he was already on the battle field? I'm not sure. Emotions don't convey facts, only the feelings behind an action. So, I'm at a loss to explain. He could have OD'ed or chocked on a grape, for all I know."

Siduer had stopped sniffling and Sydney still tugged impatiently on her father's leg. "Okay," Swith said, "Let's get back to what we were doing. Movie?!"

"YES!"

"Movie?" she asked Thriller as the smile crept back onto her face.

--

Xanthe's head tilted. "Aha. A young Lucius born into a time where men still saw the world with clear eyes. But you became a Roman soldier, so that makes sense. How on earth did you end up at Golgotha?" Unlike Blythe, she'd only heard him speak of that moment and not much of the details behind it.

--

Blythe slowly leaned forward, an inch at a time until her mouth was pressed against the tip of Superbia's snout. Her puckered lips thinned and widened as she opened her mouth. Sharp, pointy teeth slowly and gently clamped down on his skin and she gave a playful, mock growl. "Tag," she murmured through a mouthful of flesh, and then she let go with a playful squeal and bolted.

"Might as well. Besides, we can discuss more about this later."

--

"Stationed there with my centurion in charge there. He was the one who owned the slave that was sick and all."

--

Superbia shook his head and did a highly calculated thought process for the next five minutes before figuring that they were playing tag. After realizing this, he bolted after her.

"Um, play.", She said. She walked over to a pool chair and took a seat. Whatever it was, she had a feeling it wasn't going to be one bit good.

Giovenith followed Katya, crouching down on the ground beside her seat and mentally preparing herself for the words again. Torii had at least been her friend, a friend who confirmed constantly that her distaste toward gods was not meant to extend to her, but Giovenith had not interacted much with Katya, so there was very little to prevent the elder sister from jumping to 'shoot the messenger' mentality on her. Oh well. If she did, she did... she hoped she wouldn't hit her.

"Miss Katya, I recently received a prayer from Yoshi," she began. "He was not... doing well. At all. Friend, he was... he was dying, and, I suppose out of desperation, asked me to save him. I'm very sorry, but I assure you, it was impossible to do such at my age! I don't have that kind of power...." Giovenith added that part quickly, knowing there were some who might assume she was capable of more than she actually was. "And, well..." The godling looked down, and carefully placed a comforting hand on Katya's arm, as if to hush her. "... Yoshi is gone. I am sorry. H-He loved you with all his heart though! I-It was for everyone here he wanted to go on..." She quickly shut her trap, needing to stay calm in her own deliverance.

Giovenith hung her head and bit her lip, waiting for Katya's response with no small amount of anxiety.

"Tasia. Just plain Tasia. We're very informal with outsiders, you see." Tasia smoothed down the shimmering copper evening gown that wasn't so far off from the color of Dora's hair. She bowed back, smiling.

"Alright, enough yapping. Let's go find Katya and Kei before Chrys finds you and goes ballistic," Dora interrupted, rubbing the back of her neck. "Sorry to be abrupt, Insidious, but that would not be a meeting I'd like to see. Sibling rivalry. To put it mildly."

She headed off to Katya's apartment, checking there first since they hadn't been in Chaos.

The New Velociraptor Empire wrote:"Nice to meet you Chrys, you smell nice, like time." Neil greeted and offered a sharp claw to shake. "Magic isn't our field, but with SCIENCE!!! we can extract it's nature and provide a detailed analysis. Our library of the mystical may not be as large as Primordial's but it is still extensive enough that there might be an account somewhere." he explained.

Chrys grinned and shook Neil's claw. "Thank you, I suppose. Time has a smell?" She wondered what would happen if she told him that to his face.

"Sounds great! I can take you over there as soon as you're ready. How would the extraction be done?" she questioned, curious, and also wanting to find out so Dia could add it to his records when she got back to him.

Katya's heart sank. It downright sank, and she felt numb. She felt worse than ever before, and she didn't hide it either. She hung her head lower than Gio's, as her hair covered her face. Finally, she spoke, in a shaky voice.

"I guess...I guess I should have expected that...huh? So...he's...gone..."

She felt sick. Very sick. Why? Why did this happen? She was angry, upset, scared, and everything else at the same time. Her whole world seemed to collapse around her. No more Yoshi...how would Tora act? And Dora? How would she carry on, herself?

Superbia shook his head and did a highly calculated thought process for the next five minutes before figuring that they were playing tag. After realizing this, he bolted after her.

Swith nodded. "Exactly. Let's grab popcorn and seats." Her initial excitement was returning and she was doing everything possible to avoid behaving like a child.

Her handler would more accurately label the giddiness "high school girl on a date with a really cute guy", but doing that would totally destroy Swith's image of herself... yet if Swith had ever experienced high school or gone on a date when she was younger, she would instantly recognize the blissful but quirky emotions currently running through her heart. Swith of course had never experienced any of those things in her existence. She was discovering bits and pieces of life that girls delight in when they first experience it, and then cherish in their later years. Thriller's magic was much stronger than hers, and he wove it simply by being himself and allowing her to step into his world.

She stepped up to the food counter and asked about the things under the glass. Mike & Ikes. They rattled inside the box when she shook them (which she did several times because the sound was so fascinating) and she had to have them. The popcorn made noise as the hot butter melted into the kernels and that, too, was fascinating. But Swith, trying to be mindful and not look foolish in front of Thriller, merely kept her face passive and buried her enthusiasm as best she could. The result was that she had a grin to match the Cheshire Cat's.

"Your entire life seems woven into Christ's own," Xanthe replied. She felt humbled by that fact. "But how did you end up with Superbia?"

Five minutes head start. That's all Blythe needed. She raced down the halls, sometimes using her strong claws to speed her along the walls and ceiling. Her goal was the lobby and the great outdoors.

Torii stumbled through the halls, devastated. Her big brother was...gone...

NO! HE WASNT GONE! He was just off somewhere, writing in his journal and dreaming happily about going home. Yep, totally nothing to worry about. She was sure Gio had made a mistake. She was crazy, after all. Everyone was crazy, and didn't know what they were talking about. Except her and Yoshi and Tsu and Mr. Nikanor. Yep, she'd wake up tomorrow to find Yoshi home, and they'd have breakfast, and he'd hold her hand and go explore the city. It was all planned out in her head, and it would be true. She knew it!

Maybe she could give him a present. A nice little show of affection. Maybe write his name on her arm or on a banner...that didn't even make sense. Agh, she must have been starting to go crazy, like those gods and weirdos who thought that Yoshi was dead...

.....

Katya was silent for a long time, until she shifted a bit.

"...Thanks...Gio..."

She suddenly grabbed Gio and hugged her. It was now that she started whimpering.

Thriller gave the twins their pieces of candy they wanted before he grabbed onto his two bags of Raisinets in one hand while rapping his arm around the popcorn to hold onto that, while also holding onto his drink in his free hand. He looked at Swith and gave a small smile.

--

"Easy enough, my sister, who I left behind against my own will, made a deal with a witch, which turned out to be a not-so-good idea. Anyway, I made a deal with the devil that I will "work" for him so as long as no harm comes to my sister. He was good on the deal for a while, then he did his usual routine. I saw through that though and decided to stray away. Of course he didn't like that so he sent Superbia to "control" me. Now, before I go any further, I met Superbia before that event. In fact, I had to fight him. And I did. I also had to kill him. Which is what I did."

--

Though poor Blythe would come to find out that the aerodynamic Superbia would come screeching after her as he flew down the halls. Gaining a considerable amount of speed too.

"Shhh..." hushed Giovenith, patting Katya's back soothingly. Despite having trying to keep calm, she herself felt a few more choked tears managing to squeeze out... it was okay, though. She was feeling, but she had not lost control. "H-He was a really special guy! Very creative, and very sweet..." She sniffled, hugging Katya tighter for her own sake as well. "Let whatever you are feeling out... it will heal you."

To Giovenith, there were two main kinds of experiences in pain, depending on whether you kept it in or let it out. Keeping it in was much quieter, and allowed you, at least for times, to pretend that all was fine... it gnawed at you slowly, and drove you slowly insane, all by pretending that things were as they should be. Then there was this kind of pain. The kind where you let all of your emotions pour out, the kind people tended to be scared of... but when you kept things in, the pain kept growing, and growing inside of you, stretching out your torso, neck, and head, till your body wasn't your own anymore, till you felt like you would explode. Letting it out allowed all that bad, icky stuff to pour out like a faucet, and god did it feel better than the other option. It did not make one crazy or unstable to express, on contraire, it would help balance them out later.

Katya started to cry.

She cried for a few minutes, very hard, very pained. She was glad she was with just Gio and Ogoti, because of here was anyone else, she would've held it in.

She kept crying until she felt better. Even though she still wanted to cry, she couldn't she'd save it for later.

"Thanks...Gio.", She mumbled as she let go. "I....I still....I'll see you tomorrow....okay? I need to cry some more tomorrow.."

With that, she stood up, and took a few steps back.

"Alright, Jacob. You go ahead and take the thing to the raptors, you know where they live, correct?" Bran asked as he started cleaning the room they were in, even though it wasn't that dirty to begin with. He then left his friend with a set of directions to the raptor's house just in case, and the boy walked downstairs into the good ole' bunker.

He knew not of Yoshi's death, because cuddling on the couch to a TV-movie with Rylli seemed more important at the time, and Bran hadn't even known anyways.

Rylli was blissfully unaware as well, curling around her husband with Tolya in his crib with them after moving it into the living room. The small child wasn't aware either, how could he be? He still loved Yoshi though, even if he couldn't express it, the scrawny little boy was funny to the baby . . .

. . . Never again.

"Oh, hello.... I think you are.... Neil? Sorry, I have difficulty telling you apart." Jacob said sheepishly. He was a bit scared of the raptors, mainly because they were dinosaurs, but they had never done anything to harm him, so he wasn't quite sure why, but he was. "Well, the marble slab is surprisingly light.... So we should not have any trouble bringing it to your home, Neil. Also, all we did with the stone was to drop it; which caused a sonic boom; dripping water onto it; which made a very loud noise and sparks; and drawing on it with a marker. The marker did nothing. I am sure you will be able to think of more scientific tests than we could, though." Jacob shrugged, and picked up the marble slab easily. "Oh, and I would be careful touching it. It makes everything very bright except for the stone, which makes it very difficult to see anything."

At the Wilting Succubus, there was a swift rapping of knuckles. A man in a belted trenchcoat and fedora straight out of 1920-1930s detective fiction stood at the door. A quick check of his PDA confirmed the address, and he nodded to himself. As he waited, he hummed the Pink Panther theme.

Elsewhere, Luce was at present twenty feet off the ground, clinging to a billboard with a paintroller in hand. This was the seventeenth he'd done, out of the twenty-three he'd paid for. The owning company had given him a strange look when he insisted on doing all the paint jobs himself, but then he couldn't have kept a straight face if he'd told them what he wanted to put on there.

He leaned back as far as he could before his arms began to ache, and examined the block letter message.

COME NOW AND EAT AT

Luce 'n' Chrys' Steakhouse!

There was no address, to keep people from actually trying to go to the nonexistent restaurant.

Satisfied, Luce climbed down and strolled jauntily along. He'd be done by morning, and nobody suspected a prank when the prankster played the victim.

Somewhere in eternity, a restless soul screamed in pain. Yoshi Tokai, pariah of his living family, the whipping boy for Akito and scapegoat for his uncle, cried from his resting place. His soul was weeping, unable to find peace, not even in death.
He cried to be returned to life. He cried to be held. He cried to be with those that loved him truly. He cried for peace. Even in death, it seems his purpose was to suffer. Even the wickedest of hearts could be moved to tears by his screams.
However, it was all for naught. Fate had already wound its noose and had its way with him. His soul could only cry out, lonely and afraid, from some lost and distant shore. His calls would go unanswered; there was no rest for him and no hope.
He had let them down. Gio had wanted his dreams to come true, she worked hard to make sure she could help him be happy, and he failed her. Swith had wanted his safe return and a real interview from him. He had wanted her to hold him, and be the mother that he had lost, but that would never happen. Torii wanted her big brother to come home and bring her something, to tussle her hair and be there to play with her, and he had let her down. Dora had told him to stay safe; that did not happen. Bran and Rylli and Jacob had told him to come back. No, they all had. He had promised them that he would do his best to come back, and he had failed. He would not run or talk or play or laugh with any of them ever again. He would not be there to see Tolya grow up. Would things have turned out differently if he had gone with Corporal Hiyama? Or, would they have run only to die tired at the hands of their enemies? It didn’t matter now, he was a failure.
Most of all, he had failed Katya. This hurt the aching soul the most. He told her he would come back. They dreamed of being parents, they dreamed of being together always. He had, at least. He let that poor girl worry about him, he let her grow attached to him and then hurt her by not living up to his promises. Did she know? Did she care? How could he be so foolish?
The spirit of Yoshi Tokai was in pain, terrible pain. To ease his hurt, he did something that he had not done in life, something that horrified him even now, he learned to hate. He hated Akito for making his life miserable. He hated Swith for not protecting him. He hated Gio for not answering him, for not even trying to answer back. He hated Bran and Rylli and Tolya for being Branriechian. He hated Torii and Katya for loving him, he didn’t think he deserved it; the fools deserved the pain of losing him for trusting in something so weak. He hated Urran and Yuri for sending him off to war. He hated Jacob for being so kind. He hated Dora for almost certainly stealing Katya after his death.
Shrieks of sadness and fear transformed and morphed into shrieks of hate and anger. No one would recognize him now. He was now corrupted, twisted and evil. In one final failure, he slapped them all across the face with betrayal. They had asked him not to come back changed, to be the same Yoshi that they all had grown to love. In this null void, on this dark island somewhere in eternity, Yoshi Tokai finally died and was replaced by something dark and hateful. He died as he lived most of his life, afraid and alone and there was nothing that anyone could do but mourn.
A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good just because it's accepted by a majority.

Torsiedellious and Sturmovosk wrote:Katya started to cry.

Ogoti's eyes following Gio's departure until the godling disappeared into the building. She would need time to tease out the rat's nest of emotions snarled up in her heart. Time healed. His own emotions welled within. How different would he be had not Charumati and Preet not shared his life path? Atosh, eternally introverted and bent on glory, had balked at them all.

It was that first prayer, the quiet supplication for aid that astonished the four, that became the catalyst. A small boy at his father's bedside. An innocent soul casting it burden to the heavens and to hell. He'd remembered the four Dēvatā that lived alone in the mountain passes. They were The Divinities, the N'yārā - uncommon, aloof, separate. They were named by the people; they were cherished. Ogoti was death and life. The child's supplications fell upon his ears. He attempted to render aid; he fucked it up so badly that the child was scared for life.

Never again.

Let Fate govern. That was the consensus amongst the five. Atosh eventually turned that agreement aside. War revolted. Malice rose up to stop him and Malice died. Then there were only four. The three clung to each other and cast their brother out. Ogoti cringed at the memory. The three needed to band together and he needed to get Chanpreet on board. He needed to find a replacement for Atosh and Malice. There had to be others out there who were from a fractured set. If he could united them all they would be Five and able to cast Atosh down again.

Am I standing here with a blank expression on my face? Ogoti brought himself from his revere and turned his head toward Katya.

"Miss Katya?" He tenderly spoke her name. "The feelings inside you? All of them are valid. There isn't any shame in grieving. There's no shame in love." He bowed to her and began to move away.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

"Really?" He got up from his seat and walked over to the ladder. He took the envelope from her and tucked it under his arm to provide some assistance in helping her up.

A playful smile curled around Insidious's lips and she gave a small nod of approval. "Lead the way" she replied following quickly after them.

As the trio arrived - Dora still smoking like a semi's exhaust system on a winter day - she glanced down, then turned off and put away the cigarette so the people behind the door could see her. Then, after a quick pause to straighten out her hair a bit and wipe away sweat, she nodded to Kei.

OOC: Done with Urran's permission.

Oh, don't be stupid.

What very, very little was left of Yoshi's soul was suddenly latched onto with iron force, engulfed, and slowly wretched away from the island where it had rested into a slip. Once pulled through, was when things sped up, throwing him downward into a spiraling mess of light and colors, some incomprehensible, and a flurry of sounds that blended together into one long screech if one had not been used to it before. All of the negativity and hatred had been brought along as well, but had been set aside temporarily so as to not yet consume the little soul. They would be felt as regular emotions, rather than a parasitic force.

Yoshi, or at least the last shape of Yoshi, materialized onto a hard floor in the middle of some white, blank room. There were no corners or ends in sight, not walls, not even the ceiling, just the oddly-created floor that seemed to have been pieced together from shatter pieces of rocks, gems, and mirrors.

I got him... wasn't easy, but I did. Lot of negativity in this one. Your welcome.

Someone poked the little soul's back.

"Come on, come on now."

Her feeling were valid? Katya was shaken and devastated. She was alone...

She needed to cope. She sated walking back to her room for Kei.

.....

Tori still refused to believed that Yoshi was gone. She had effectively shut herself into her own existence, where everything was perfect, as she walked to her apartment. Finding it blocked by Kei, Core, and the others, she stopped and stared at them in a weird way.
