Ogoti's face softened. He slowly nodded at the godling and nudged past people to kneel beside her. "It's not your destiny to intervene this time. You're not the instrument. You only heard the song being sung to you. It's the first time anyone has brought music to you? We can't always act on every chorus, dear heart. Sometimes all we can do is listen."

He brushed the hair from her face and rubbed his thumb across her wet cheek. "Sometimes that's all we can do," he soothed.

"Misplaced trust?" Ogoti raised an eyebrow. "He chose one he knew despite her weakness, and his trust in her was well placed. She can't restore him. It's how Fate is. Just because one can do something doesn't mean one should. But she can do something the other choices can't. She can carry the tidings and share them with kindred hearts. None of the others are in that unique situation. Not Kei. Not Swith. Not me. Only she. Dragon's child, daughter of Creation, Fate has burdened you. Carry it even though it's heavy."

His eyes gazed into hers and spoke of acceptance of her just as she was. There was acknowledgement of the pain within her. More so, there was love.

"It's only right that they know, Giovenith. News like this is always less bitter when delivered by a tender voice."

Torii had shied away when the Chaos god made his entrance, but slowly warmed up as he spoke with Gio. "um, please, what happened?", She asked as she climbed out of the pool. Her dress was soaked. "Why is Gio upset? Why was she freaking out? I'm really worried, so please, I want to know."

WHile Bran and Jacob had started cleaning up, the temptation of pouring water on the relic had nearly driven Bran insane. He tapped Jacob on the shoulder as they were just about finished anyways.

"Hey, we can finish this up later, let's go back to the stone thing."

Ogoti hadn't any idea why these people were swimming in their day clothes. He would have found it amusing at any other time and might have actually joined them for laps.

"Miss Tora," he replied gently. "Miss Giovenith has been given the task of delivering bad news. It's severely unsettled her. This is something she'd never had to do before. Perhaps she's even afraid people will become angry with her for sharing it? No one likes grim tidings."

"Sure." Jacob said with a nod. "I have been curious as to what would happen when you poured water on it anyway. Lead the way, Amice." He gestured for Bran to lead them back, after righting a picture on the wall that had been knocked askew by the marble tablet.

Giovenith took in a deep breath and released it. So. Time to kick her into grown up jobs, huh? She supposed she should have been smart enough to know that Fate would kick her like this at some point. Never expecting it though, that was just the way it liked to form its style. Most High Ogoti, however, was absolutely correct, in that she had to play the part of messenger now, no matter the burden. It was just how things had to be, from the day she was born. She tried to remember that things weren't supposed to be fair.

The godling sighed, stood up, and turned to face her friends, taking a moment to build up the energy to push the words out.

"... Yoshi was dying on the battlefield, and prayed for me to save him. I am only a godling. There was nothing I could do, no matter what I wanted. He is gone now." Her voice remained steady, as the girl punched down any hysterical feelings that might make the news more distressing than it already was. "... I'm sorry." She looked down.

"Alright, here goes." Bran said after the two friends had made their way to the stone, still sitting on the floor where Chrys had dropped it. He reached over for the full water bottle and opened up the cap on it. He then started tilting it slowly over the stone and before long, a small stream of droplets dove from the bottle and hit the stone.

Yuna looked unemotional, although in her heart, she knew that Yoshi was someone's friend, someone's lover, and that her opinion didn't matter, because she didn't know him and couldn't judge anything about him.

"Death is but a reality, but that doesn't mean it's not heartbreaking. I feel your pain." Yuna said to Gio, not knowing how Torii would react.

Yoshi....dead? No...not possible, definitely not possible.

That's what she was thinking. Her heart sank, as she knew deep down that it was true, but why should she have to believe that? If Yoshi wasn't dead, then he wasn't dead...right? As long as she believed it...

Her face showed pain and fear. She couldn't quite put it all together. It had only been a few days since he said goodbye, and tussled her hair, and she watched him walk into the horizon. He wasn't dead...

....

"Wow, where is everyone? HelloooOoooOo!", The girl called. She hoped to meet someone. Her older sibling followed her along, silent.

There was a sudden flash as though a fire work had gone off and a sound that stung at Bran and Jacobs memories. It was an immeasurable sound that was as quite as a whisper and at the same time ear shattering, it was a sound only created by the most wretched of ravening creatures but there was nothing on earth the due could compare it to. The flash started as the water exploded into a chaotic cascade of purple and yellow sparks mere inches above the rock and showered across the floor burning lint and dust to acrid ashes and creating a harmless but slithering and fiery sea across the ground.

Giovenith said nothing further, feeling it would be useless at the moment. When things like this happened, she understood it could be hard to take in at once. Death was confusing, that was something all felt they understood, until it actually came. Life in general liked to poke you from the blind spot. She kept her head down and to the side, processing things herself, and preparing to deal with whatever was said afterward.

"Thank you, Yuna," she said to her friend. "That means a lot. I know you didn't really know him... but, it's good to have your comfort."

Ogoti rose and placed a supportive hand on Giovenith's shoulder. He would hold her if she dissolved into tears but he wouldn't push her towards breaking down. She needed to wage her inner battle with herself. He would guide her and comfort her but growing up was a bitch. He couldn't do that for her.

Torii's expression betrayed a slip into insanity. He's always wondered about the girl's strange coping skills (or lack of them); he wasn't a grief counselor. Suffering was part of life. Struggle was nothing but adaptation to or denial of change. One of his brothers would have seized upon Torii's mental state and twisted it to their advantage. Ogoti wasn't into that.

"You are right," he said to Yuna. She seemed the only one keeping her emotions in balance. "It's the cycle. Death brings new life. Pain is involved in both. We can't grieve for anyone, meaning we can't grieve on their behalf; we can only grieve for the loss of that person and acknowledge the suffering the loss has brought to others. Yoshi was a bright candle. His absence is very noticeable now that it's dark."

"Argh! God dammit, what the hell!?" Bran screeched as he held his hands to his ears, dropping the water bottle fortunately away from the accursed stone. He growled and waited for the sound to finish, before observing the beautiful spectacle of the fire dancing around the room. It didn't seem to be harming anything though, so it allowed Bran to focus on the fire, without needing to worry about burning the building down.

"S-So . . . That was something, eh?"

He then spied a marker sitting on the countertop nearby.

"Hey, want me to mark something on the stone? That might be interesting too."

--

Yuna nodded politely. "Correct, I did not know him. Hopefully his soul can rest in eternity. I-I need to be going now." She said and got up to leave. "I'll come by later to see if there's anything I may do to be of assistance in this time of mourning."

Tieria had baked a cake and was currently icing it. It was a regular white cake with strawberry icing. He had no knowledge of Yoshi's death. He was going to bring the cake over to Katya's later. He wanted to make more friends.

"Miss?" Ogoti said. "Do you know Katya? Would you see if she could come down. And quickly." His eyes flickered in Torii's direction.

Torii started to hug herself a bit, and twisted back and forth. She had nothing better to do, and just couldn't run away. She didn't know what to think.

When Ogoti spoke, she looked at him quickly. "Y-you want me to get my sister?", She said. "I suppose I can..."

And with that, she started to slowly walk away, but eventually broke into a sprint.

Albert had enough of being frustrated making the model. He had gotten the main parts of it built, but kept messing up the finer details and having to redo them. He couldn't stand if the model's pieces weren't exactly placed, so he had been working on it for hours. After that time he had decided to give himself some time to relax and stop swearing profusely when he made mistakes. So the personification decided to leave his apartment for a while and go for a walk.

He noticed the two people walking around and the little girl shouting, and he was curious. "Who are you two? Usually random people do not wander around the building unless they are residents, or going to be residents..." His feline tail waved lazily behind him as he spoke, moving in and out of view for the two siblings, and his ears stood up as he awaited their response.

"I am beginning to think that experimenting with this stone is a terrible idea!" He shouted as he jumped around to avoid all the fire. He still hadn't noticed that the fire was harmless. The sound had given him an intense headache, with his tail down to the ground and his ears back in the discomfort and annoyance it was causing. He stopped when he finally noticed that the flames were not causing any more flames, but he watched them in case i did in fact start setting things on fire. "Are you sure it is a good idea to keep experimenting with this thing? It keeps giving me headaches!

The girl was quick to turn to Albert, and almost died with a squeal. "Ohmaigawd, I know you! Anyway, my name is Svetlana! Svetlana Alexandrov, and I've been wanting to meet someone from this building! You guys are awesome!", She said, hopping up and down. The other girl remained quiet. She was wearing a black uniform.

"Jacob, I've experienced worse. Let's keep going, how about this one is the last one?" Bran suggested and uncapped the marker. He bent down and looked at the stone, preparing to mark it with the dry erase marker he had found. "If you're really uncomfortable, how about you leave the room? You shouldn't be affected at all by it."

Giovenith nodded, looking sadly after Torii. Yoshi had been close to becoming her brand new big brother, so she knew this was probably harder on her.

"Alright, Most High," agreed Giovenith, still looking in her friend's direction. "And thank you. You were under no obligation to comfort me, yet you did. I am very, very grateful." She imagined that most godlings either had to get their talks from their pantheon superiors, or deal with it on their own. It was very lucky to have another Most High from an entirely different pantheon help one for whom they had no responsibility.

With a solitary ‘DING’ the elevators doors opened in the lobby to reveal a lithe and rapturous Insidious. She was as always underdressed in the typical sense of the word lacking any clothing and displaying her spectral, clean and fair skin. Across her body her skin changed color in rapid succession with her frantic and chaotic mood and strange phantasmal water like designs of purple, green and blue gave her a strange genetic beauty.

She took a set of long dance like strides out of the elevator spinning on a foot before jumping to stand infront of Dora. At this distance it was easy to smell the reek of meth on her breath as well as several differed sets of lipstick covering her lush body in very descript locations. All of this indicated she had just come from a Luxan party of some kind.

Fleeting whispers glittered through ethereal pathways of chaotic emotion and swirled around the consciousness of Chaotic beings.

Not strong at all. Weak as a kitten.

The pages are left blank.

Sydney continued to pull on Thriller's leg but Siduer stopped moving. The whole theater lobby became distant. "Who isn't strong?" he asked out loud. "What is what and why's it blank?"

Swith handed her ticket to Thriller and scooped Siduer up. "Shhh. Don't listen. I've told you before, you need to learn to block your mind. You're trying to hear them all. They're separate."

He whimpered in her arms, not understanding why the voices were so malevolent. Something bad had happened, and there were so many voices talking. One set was concerned and seemed to have acknowledgment of something... some thing?... but the other was laughing at whoever the kitten was. He didn't understand, and so he buried his face against his mother's neck.

Swith rocked him and blinked back her tears. "Yoshi is dead," she said softly to Thriller. "Let's get these two into the movie. It'll distract Siduer. I'll... I'll explain later."

Xanthe laughed. "Well, it's never to late to learn about a person, I suppose." She picked up the empty plate and gave Cain's hand a gently pat.

"Lucius, what about you? Where were you born? And when?"

--

"Psh," Blythe snorted. "He needs to loosen up more. Take more vacations. Poor Lucius. He went through a lot of trouble helping us get you back. Maybe we could do something nice for him? Like give him silk sheets."
